Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ Vide
PostSubject: Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ EmptyTue 26 Jan 2010, 7:02 am

To save the staff the questions that are frequently asked a group of frequently asked questions will be posted below to ensure that you have your questions answered. This may be updated at times if the staff think of or receive any questions that deserve to be on the list.

Q: What is Ultimate Shinobi?
A: Ultimate Shinobi is a Naruto Roleplaying Forum that first started on February 3rd in 2009. Right off the bat, the member base of the site grew until we reached the hundreds and edged closer to the thousands. Ultimate Shinobi has been one of the fastest growing Naruto Roleplay's because of it's loyal members and hardworking staff members who strive to ensure everybody is having a good time. Adam was the creator of the original Ultimate Shinobi and is still in charge here at Ultimate Shinobi 2.0 with his administrative team still in tact. Adam, along with Todd and Robin began the phenomenon and discovered more help along the way in such members as Jiro, Pat and Matthew.

Q: If this forum is a Naruto RPG, does that mean I can play as Naruto or another character from the show?
A: I'm sorry but no, although Masashi Kishimoto was the creator of Naruto, the majority of material on this site is original and has nothing to do with the cannon characters. Ultimate Shinobi's storyline is completely different to the storyline of the manga/anime.

Q: So, what happened to the clans?
A: The clans of Naruto still exist, but certain things might be limited or different to the series. As Ultimate Shinobi doesn't follow Kishimoto's plot, certain things such as the Uchiha clan massacre or the wipe out of the Kaguya clan didn't occur. It is best to read the Cannon Clan's topic if you plan on making a character with a Cannon Clan, because the staff will most likely ask you to post up our information anyway.

Q: I don't like my current username anymore, how can I change it?
A: Well, I'd suggest you think about your username more before you decide on it next time, however, lucky for you Ultimate Shinobi 2.0 is continuing with the Name Changes thread, only this time you will be restricted on how many times you change your name and what you can change it to. Frequently requesting Name Changes is an easy way to mistakenly flood the forum and distract the staff from their real job. However, if you think it's completely necessary for you to change your name, please refer to the Name Changes thread, in Feedback forum.

Q: I was a member on Ultimate Shinobi, can I transfer my character over here?
A: Yes you can transfer your character over to Ultimate Shinobi 2.0, however, you might not receive the same rank as you previously were as the majority of the member base will be starting as Genin. You will also have to fit everything into our new template and change anything the staff asks still. Just because your character was previously approved on the original Ultimate Shinobi, doesn't mean the same applies here. We do advise everybody to create a new character.

Q: Is it compulsory to read the Rules and Guides?
A: The answer to this question is iffy, as we are not going to make sure you do read all the important information, though it is HIGHLY advised you do so. The rules should indeed be read as breaking them may result in punish and you not reading the rules will be an excuse to get you out of it. The guides aren't as important however, they are extremely helpful and advised to read if you are lacking knowledge or need help on any of the topic themes.

Q: Why isn't there a Missing Ninja rank?
A: Missing Ninja has been disbanded temporarily, like the Akatsuki, however the Akatsuki isn't planned for a return, Missing Ninja is. Only if all four villages manage to be stable however. Missing Ninja is closed for not only the sites well being, but for yours. To be involved with the storyline currently, you will have to be in a village, if Missing Ninja were a rank they would be completely left out and we find that unfair. Unfortunately as Missing Ninja isn't yet a rank, you aren't permitted to escape your village until the rank is opened and an announcement is made saying you are allowed too.
