| Yoroi Kaguya | | |
The week had started off rather annoyingly as there had been several occurrences within the villages that had to be fixed. Though it did not exactly have to be his job to fix it, it all happened rather close to home, so he felt better handling such things himself. Next to his sister, he was the strongest shinobi in the entire fire country, meaning there was no one he feared in this place or any other nation. Thanks to his bloodline, wounding him was next to impossible for the basic shinobi, so usually, he could just rush in, get things done and get out. Having been the cause of a hostile and childish take-over in a local restaurant he simply loved dining in, he had made sure that he would be able to have dinner in it with his sister in case he ever felt like doing such a thing again. He knew how busy she was lately, so whenever she was not at home, he took to keeping things clean, knowing that this was what kept her happy. Soon, she would be getting married, and once that happened, the young Kaguya knew that there was no longer a place for him in their home, meaning he would have to get a place of his own.
With his short and rather personal mission rounded up, he had only briefly been home that morning, taking a few belongings with him as he headed out into the village. Wearing a black shirt with a high collar, black slacks and black boots, the white haired youth never took to wearing a lot of flashy colors at all. In his hands were an oddly shaped piece of wood, the other holding a small knife he had taken from his home. Walking through the crowded streets, several people bumped into him as he was trying to work on a small sculpture. Finding it incredibly annoying that no one could give him just a bit of space, he exhaled loudly before pushing his way through the crowd, putting the dagger and the figurine into his pocket. As soon as the crowd started clearing a bit when he got closer to the gate, he took it back out and continued working on his new project. Heading into the massive woodlands around the Hidden Leaf Village, he thought it would be the best thing by far to just avoid human contact for a while. Animals were a lot less judgemental than the human species, that much was certain, so looking up their company over that of his own kind seemed like a good means of finding some peace of mind.
Out in the woodlands, there were a lot of things that would never happen, one of these being the fact that people would come up to him for help. Every once in a while, he was just done helping people, so getting a bit of alone time was always a good thing. Whenever he was out in the woods, finding that bit of alone time was always quite easy, at least the whole "getting away from humanity" thing was. Noticing a flock of Greenfinches, Yoroi let out a screechy form of whistling, calling out to them as the flew overhead. Being one of those humans that thought it to be a good thing to be able to communicate with animals, three of them came down and sat down on his shoulders and head, busy chirping at him. While Yoroi could make out that they were claiming that he was a good resting stop, most humans would just hear a form of song. It was due to this that the intentions of animals were often misheard, which was also why a large amount of predatory species got killed when they got close to a human being, just like they killed humans when the tables were turned. If everyone was capable of communicating with one another, Yoroi just knew that it would be a lot easier for everyone to get along.
With that thought in mind, he knew that many people considered him to be strange, a freak of nature and an abomination, these being things he had personally picked up from people. It was to be expected, after all, he had spent the majority of his life out in these very woodlands, surviving on everything the land had to offer. It was also the reason why he did not have a lot of personality traits such as morals that most people took for granted, simply because he had never been taught by his parents. His parents were the animals that had taught him how to hunt, stalk and feed on edible plants. Topping it all off, he was a descendant of the Kaguya, meaning he was not at all like other people in terms of physiology. Everything from his skeletal structure and his morals were different than that of other people due to his bloodline. That said, Yoroi only had the powers of his clan, his personality and morals were his own, thanks to growing up in solitude and being taught by Kimiko as to which things were wrong and which were right. No one cared enough to figure out how he functioned though, especially since only five people knew he was of Kaguya descent, the other people just seeing him as an outsider. Now that he was a Sennin, people suddenly cared about him, though Yoroi only cared about a select few.
Shaking the thought, he went back to looking where he was going and working on his project. Walking down the road, the small figurine he had been working on was starting to come along rather well. Since he had woken up, he had been carving into it with a small knife, slowly cutting the block of wood into a small figurine that was to appear like a coiled up snake. Noticing someone along the way, it seemed that he was not the only person who was being artistic out in the woods. From the look of things, there was a relatively young girl, or a petite boy with lots of feminine features that was painting. Painting was also one of Yoroi's hobbies, for it symbolized control and dominance. The colors he used, the canvas, the brushes and the eventual outcome, all of it was up to his own imagination and will. After all, no one told an artist how to do their things, they would always decide what to do themselves. Standing far enough behind the girl or the feminine boy to not be able to see any of his or her features, he kept quiet while looking at the painting that was currently in the making.

| Finally she could breathe. Finally she was alone with no one but herself. There were no annoying voices which felt like nails scraping down a chalk board, or the offensive odour of another human body. No it was just Satsune and no one else but her who was at this secluded place.
She had known it for years, had come here to this exact place to paint for years. Whenever the female got the chance she would take a small canvas, a small brush and a bigger brush, a few little selected containers with colours; and escape here for hours upon hours. The perfect spot where the sun managed to shine through the leaves, yet not get to the angle of shining into Satsune's eyes; so she managed to bring every little shadow to live on the canvas which never got to stay pure white for long. On days like this, she preferred to wear the white frilly dress that reached almost to her knees but not the coat over. It lay safely on a piece of cloth (to prevent dirt from getting on it) to the side, so Satsune could put it on if she so desired. However if the day would continue to be as good as this, she was not likely to get cold.
Her ruby coloured eyes stared intently at the nature scene before her, a single ray of the sun was shining brightly on a fallen branch that lay on the ground; and that scenery was what had captured Satsune's attention on this particular day. She painted the ground, she painted the tree which the branch had fallen from; but it was obvious that the branch was the only thing on the painting that was coming to life. Every little line and crack and shadow were brought forth on the canvas, every detail so little that it was wonder she could even see it was forced to join the others to be captured forever in a pictured she could later hang up on a wall or wait until she would get her own apartment. Because Satsune never threw away her work. It wasn't so much out of an egoistical action, but more so the general love for art which prevented her from throwing even small pieces of doodling away. Everything was to be kept.
Her hand movements were precise, there was no line out of place and no paint was allowed to run out of place. To paint like that for hours upon hours often called upon painful cramping of the dominant hand, and she had noticed for the last 10 minutes or so that such a cramp was indeed in the making. With speed and accuracy, she brought up a small piece of cloth, wiped off the small pencil, brought it into a container of bright brown without even checking if she was dipping it in the right one. Satsune always knew what she was doing. With that same speed and accuracy, the brush was brought back up and started again making gentle strokes against the canvas. The feathery light touching as she dragged the brush again and again to the side almost made Satsune feel as if she was making it fondle the branch-in-the-making gently. As if it was encouraging the branch to come to life and join them there to watch the scenery.
"Agh."
She had to stop for a moment. Her right hand was starting to ache as if it had been stomped on by a herd of horses. The raven haired female's eyebrows almost met in a fierce frown while she silently cursed the limitations of the human body, while standing briskly up and stretching. Following the stretch was a soft groan of pleasure as the soreness, which had been building up over the hours and had made her feel like an old crippled woman, slowly started to disappear. She turned on her heel with her eyes closed, a content smile spreading over her rosy lips whilst she pushed back a strand of raven black hair from her face, before the gem-like orbs were opened again and found the male whom had found her first. Immediately Satsune's stance changed from being comfortably stretching to being stiff as an iron rod.
What the fuck is he doing here?
That was her first thought, before an enraged expression crossed her delicate features for just a split second as she realized in what a vulnerable position he had found her in. Her piercing red eyes buried their gaze deep within his green ones, before the much smaller female (whom he towered over by good 20 cm and could probably sneeze on to make her topple over) started walking towards him with her chin set slightly forward and her head held high. She had no worries about him seeing her wearing only a thin white dress that would not cover her legs completely, as for this year she had been with him then he had never tried anything filthy near her. Trust... if she would know the concept of trust, perhaps she could say she trusted him. But right now at this point in life, she merely did not think of him as anything that was dangerous or to be too careful around.
"What the fuck? Don't you have anything better to do than stalk me, Yoroi?"
She stopped almost right in front of him, tilting her head slightly backwards so that she could better glare right up at his handsome face. She made sure he would notice just how annoyed she was at him being there, but then again he probably knew that if this had been anyone else... they'd be by now trying to escape from one of her Jutsu. And it -would- be as deadly or painful (or both) of a Jutsu as she could possibly muster. This man had after all managed to squeeze his way into her life, starting as nothing more than a rodent in her way until he was the man that was trying to teach her how to live like a 'normal human'. However one would define that.
"How come you're here? I thought we weren't supposed to meet today. Do you enjoy torturing me and taking away my few peaceful moments, you shit? Is this perhaps one of the things I have to learn to live with? Stalkers? Is that the lesson today? Look. If someone is crying, it wasn't me. I've been here all day."
Her finger was jabbing in the direction of his chest, but never once did she actually touch him. That was a big no no. Satsu knew that her words would have about as much effect on him as water being splashed on a duck, and yet this was simply her way of communicating. If she was not busy commanding her subjects, she would be cursing them and letting everybody know that she was not pleased at that exact moment. And nobody would get to ignore her wrath. As she barely took a second to wait for a response to her questions/accusations, her gaze had fallen down upon the wooden figure that Yoroi had been carving. Her heavy eyelashes lowered slightly as she looked it carefully over, before her gaze shot back up at his face. This time a single slender eyebrow was raised up on her delicate little forehead, and a mocking smile was on her pretty little lips.
"Having an artistic day are we?"
The little figurine looked good enough, she'd not call it hideous. Well she might do it out loud just for the heck of it, but deep down she found it alright. This was merely an opportunity for her to take a shot at the tall man who was the only one that managed to stay around her for more than two hours and not want to commit suicide. |

| Yoroi Kaguya | | |
When the person turned herself around, Yoroi managed to see the face of the person who was standing there, painting in the woodlands. It was Satsune, a kid he had been looking after for a while now. Figuring that it must have almost been a year since he met the troubled kid, he still felt bad about the time he had told her that if she didn't watch herself, Yoroi could make her disappear. It was good to see that she was letting her artistic side roam freely on a canvas, hoping that it was through art that she could vent her aggression. This seemed to not be the case, and even if it was, this did not exactly show when the girl walked up to him, ranting and complaining all the way until she stood right in front of him. Asking him whether he had nothing better to do than to stalk her on a day like this, she continued to rant more and more about how this might have been a training for her, teaching her how to handle stalkers. Letting out a deep sigh, he more or less ignored the times when she called him Shit or something along those lines. Part of him wanted to tie her with ropes and hang her in a tree as punishment for being this annoying, though it was better for her if he didn't.
Knowing how much she hated things such as filth or really anything human that was not hers, he did something other than reply to her initial, pushy questions. Remembering the Ramen and Donburi he had Blowing his breath in her face, he figured that the act in itself would set her off a bit, though hopefully getting her to be less inquiring. "Get over yourself kiddo, I came here to be alone and work on my figurine. The people in the village rose to the point where they became a nuisance, so you can consider this as me taking a break from life in the village.". As he spoke, he continued working on his little creation, the wooden snake that was slowly taking on more life-like shapes. The last thing he really had to add to it now were the small scales, the eyes and carve out a mouth bearing fangs. When she looked at it, it didn't seem like she hated it, or she would have no doubt made a mocking statement about it. The fact that she didn't obviously meant that she liked it enough not to crack down on it. In fact, she asked him whether he was being artistic today no more than half a minute after the thought had crossed his mind.
"I could say the same about you kid, being out here on your own. Going out this far into the woods to make a painting, though I can't say that's the smartest thing to do. You realize that if I had been someone else, you could have been in danger, right?" Yoroi said. Not everyone was as tolerant as Yoroi was, after all, he had allowed two Nukenin to get away with their life because they did not seem like a threat to him or the village. Hell, one had spent a large amount of her time trying to teach him how to perform medical ninjutsu. While he was still not that skilled at it, he was making progress within the medical field, allowing him to heal the people he cares about. The other seemed to be a descendant of the Senju clan, though he claimed that he wanted to learn more about his clan and would like to enter the village. After spilling some valuable information to Yoroi, he had allowed him to enter, though he was constantly kept under surveillance by the keen eyes of the ANBU. Tracking someone like the boy was not quite hard, seeing as he was still young and somewhat stupid. When on the subject of people who were young and somewhat stupid, he remembered that Satsune had become fifteen not too long ago.
"So I was thinking, now that you're fifteen, it might be a good idea for us to go and celebrate. There is a local diner were we can have a meal, and I am pretty sure that it'll be on the house. Does that sound okay to you?", Yoroi asked the girl. Even though it was probably hard for her to agree to such a thing, it was perhaps just as hard for him to ask such things. Normally, he just demanded things to be done, placing threats so people would have no choice other than to just go along with things, though this was different. Over time, he had seen how hard it was for the girl to show her emotions to other people, meaning he was the one who had to come forward with such questions, even though he was as emotionally closed as a clam as well. That was not all though, for there was something else he had noticed about her, something that became apparent when she panicked and passed out. As such, the part of him that gave a shit beat the part that cared only about himself, and that was the reason why he would take the kid out for some dinner, figuring no one else had bothered to set up something for her birthday. While it was somewhat late, at least he made an effort.

| Yoroi had barely even managed to exhale in her general direction, before the female had jumped away with a horrified expression covering her face; as if the man had eaten nothing but raw onions and garlic for three days and his breath could peel paint at this point. But no, that wasn't the case. She hadn't even been able to smell his breath so fast had she been in jumping away. It was simply the matter of this being the breath of another human being, and how Satsune had almost been forced to inhale that and its bacteria. As she had backed off to a good enough distance, the black haired vixen couldn't help but hiss out a few words to voice her displeasure.
"Oh my God you are absolutely filthy. I can't believe you did that!"
It was very unfortunate for her that at this point Yoroi seemed to have started figuring out some of her quirks and weaknesses. And even if he didn't exactly exploit it, he certainly didn't mind ticking her off if she was annoying him. With an offensive attitude, crossing her arms and turning her head a bit to the side while puffing out her cheeks; Satsune listened to his explanation as to why he was out there in the woods. It didn't come as much of a wonder to her, Yoroi did after all have limited patience for people, just like she herself did. Yet he was not near good enough to be compared to her.. but he did manage to beat the others by a few scores. Still pouting like a 5 year old, she looked at him as he continued speaking; that look being a hint that her little hissing/offended fit was to be over soon. She was after all curious to know why he was there, it was strange meeting Yoroi on their 'days off' and it was even more strange when he appeared to be so talkative.
"I could say the same about you kid, being out here on your own. Going out this far into the woods to make a painting, though I can't say that's the smartest thing to do. You realize that if I had been someone else, you could have been in danger, right?"
"Danger? Here? Don't be ridiculous. Who would want to try anything with me? I don't even possess anything for anyone to steal."
Only a youngster as herself who still hadn't seen the dark side of life could talk in such a carefree manner about dangers. But she truly did not ever think about such things, as for the first part she'd welcome anyone to try anything funny with her. And second of all, then it was beneath her to be worrying about if a creep was roaming around. Satsune was used to being left alone as soon as she had let people know just what she thought of them, and she had made this childishly stubborn decision that she would simply keep doing that throughout life; and people would therefore always leave her be. A spoiled little girl like herself who had learned at a young age how to best control people, often got burnt badly with an attitude like that when a truly dangerous person came along. Someone who might like some hissing and scratching as he would squeeze the life out of her.
"So I was thinking, now that you're fifteen, it might be a good idea for us to go and celebrate. There is a local diner were we can have a meal, and I am pretty sure that it'll be on the house. Does that sound okay to you?"
"It's been days since I was fifteen you idiot. Why celebrate now?"
Yet she looked at him with surprise, as she wondered why exactly he was bringing this up. Birthdays had never been a thing she cared about nor thought about. Her parents had forgotten about it as per usual, only to have a guilt trip a few days later and bought her beautiful clothes and anything she might want to make themselves feel better. Satsune had promptly poured paint over all the clothes and burnt the things they got her. But Yoroi wasn't them, he wasn't obliged to do something for her, and it wasn't like he truly cared. He was forced to take care of her and show her the right way of life. So why was he trying to be nice now? It wasn't as if she had been asking for a friendship. Did he think she was desperate for a friend? Or was he perhaps trying to trick her? Her stuck-up little self looked him over for a few long minutes, obviously she was wondering if he was laying a trap for her; before she stalked towards where her things were. Satsune had no idea why she was going to be agreeing to this stupid idea. It was just because she had suddenly started feeling hungry. She obviously didn't care at all about eating with anyone, and especially not him of all people.
"I was feeling hungry anyway, so we can go since you seem so eager to eat at that stinking place. Tch you're probably only using this chance to be able to get a free meal, you free-loader."
Her words were cut short, the voice slightly harsher than before as she tried to seem as detached as possible and uncaring about this moment and his offer. Though it truly was a huge victory to ever get her to agree to anything like that. With quick hands she put her coat on and zipped it up, then put her painting supplies in their bag before picking up the canvas with the half finished work. Satsune then walked past Yoroi, her face showing nothing but malice as she mumbled for him to get his ass going if he was hungry.
"I will leave this stuff at home, and pick up some food for myself while at it. I don't understand why people have this need to eat something that others have prepared, but by all means we can go to that restaurant and I will watch as you eat other peoples germs."
As per usual, Satsune simply could not eat the food prepared by others. She had often tried, and it had never ended well. |

As expected, she had responded to his action exactly as he had planned out for her. To him, it was particularly funny to see someone who was as loud and foul mouthed as Satsune dashing back just to avoid a bit of breath. Showing a bit of a smirk when she called out to him, asking him why he would do such a thing whilst claiming that he was absolutely filthy. Seeing her this worked up over something to small was almost enough to really make him laugh out loud, something he had never done before in his entire life, and would obviously not do right now either. As their conversation progressed, she spoke up about Yoroi being a bit worried about her being out alone this far. As expected, the now fifteen year old girl had no idea of how the world around her really worked. Thanks to some of the things he had heard from a Nukenin that had passed through the fire country, he had been given a bit of information regarding the village hidden in the mist, information that had been rather unsettling. Though he had not spoken to a single person after he received this information, he was glad to have been informed of it.
Yoroi wanted to know what was going on in the world, especially in the places he could not see. While the information he had been given was probably exaggerated a bit, there had to be some truth in it if a Nukenin used it to bargain safe passage. After all, if they lied, they would be found out and would get their ass in danger, and those that were on their own often just wished to be alone and safe. Figuring that all of this would be best left for some other time, he just shook his head without really telling her how wrong she was to assume such things so easily. Instead, he chose to focus on something else entirely, namely the way she had responded to him asking her whether she wanted to go out for a nice little snack to celebrate her birthday. When his intentions were made fully clear, the first thing that came out was a somewhat startled expression, showing signs of being surprised by the things he said. It was to be expected, seeing as he had been rather late with all of this, not to mention that she never really spoke about family. Ignoring the fact that she called him an idiot and surpressing the urge to stick his hands in the mud and rub them over her face, Yoroi understood that it would be weird for her.
Though she seemed very ready to go out and have dinner at first, it was not until she had actually packed up all of her stuff that she seemed to just go to watch him eat. Even though she called him a freeloader, she was actually the one who would be freeloading off of him, seeing as he had helped out a local diner so many times he became a guest of honor. When she said what she did, he remembered that she was really annoyed with anything dirty, including bacteria. Maybe she believed that a neat, famous restaurant had such things in their food, which they obviously wouldn't if they wanted to keep their respect in that line of business. As she tried to leave, Yoroi sighed deeply before doing something else entirely. Sitting himself down against a tree, he made it quite clear that he was not going to be going anywhere at all. He wanted to take the kid out for dinner, but if she was not going to actually eat anything, there was no real reason for him to go. As he sat down so suddenly, the finches sitting on his shoulders shook their wings violently while having their small talons locked into his clothing, making it look like they had almost fallen off, using their wings to remain in place before settling back down. Even when they sat down, they were still chirping madly at each other, though Yoroi paid no heed to this at all.
"Well, there is no use in going if you won't eat anything. Now, I get that you think they might have put something in the food, some kind of bacteria or something like it, but they are a respectable company that keeps their food free of germs and filth, otherwise, they really wouldn't be held in such high regards. So If you really don't want to go, that's how things have to be, though I might as well just sit down here and not do anything at all."

| The female frowned and looked at Yoroi as if he was the greatest burden ever to be placed on this earth. Just what was his problem? Why did he sit down -just- as she was ready to go? Had he just been lying, trying to see if she would buy it and actually think he'd want to have food with her. That thought left a strangely bitter taste in her mouth as Satsune glared holes through the male's head. The birds who sat on him got their share of glaring as well, as the female thought to herself that they better not come any closer to her. She would never understand how Yoroi could let animals sit on him like that. Who knew what kind of filth they carried, they could be filled with bacteria's. What would he do if he suddenly caught some weird bird disease? He better not give me any. The worst thought though was... what if they would shit on him? The thought alone made Satsune shudder slightly from horror and disgust, and if a single look could kill; those birds would have dropped dead right there and then. She finally stopped horrifying herself with bird shit thoughts as Yoroi spoke out.
"But I said I would eat! I was just going to pick up something at home. I already have some food ready in the fridge that I was going to eat when I got back home. It's not like I will just sit there doing nothing but watch you eat. Ew, do you think I'm a creep like that? I just don't want to eat something that's made on that restaurant. I can't know for sure if they wear gloves or hairnets in the kitchen. And what if someone sneezes in the food? They would never tell you, but the germs would still be there! And you never know what kind of shady ingredients they might use..."
She placed her things down again and crossed her arms while biting lightly on the inside of her cheek. Her voice rose a bit with each word, and her distress was obvious. The mere thought of having to eat something prepared at the restaurant seemed to make the female be almost on the verge of hyperventilating. She however closed her eyes and slowed herself down, tried to be calm and reflect on all the things she had been practising for this year of 'training'. It was crucial that she knew how to relax and remain calm in certain circumstances. The whole point with her meetings with Yoroi was to train her to face something like this. Who knew such a small and simple action that was repeated by everybody every day could be so painfully difficult and horrifying to someone else? Satsune rubbed her arms, trying to get the goosebumps to go away as she pondered upon his words and looked at Yoroi with suspicion.
"Is this some sort of a test maybe? Are you trying to see if I will go and eat at this restaurant? Will I gain some extra points in doing so? Are you going to tell the supervisors I'm being a good girl if I do it?"
She tried to sound all smug and arrogant, but the thought was absolutely terrifying. And she was probably not fooling Yoroi with her tough act. Ever since she had been a child she had started making her own meals and always been careful of what she was eating. She had actually started getting sick at a very early age whenever she thought about someone else touch what she was about to consume. Nobody could touch the ingredients she used, and she was very picky from which places she got these ingredients. This sucks. Satsune shifted her weight slightly, tried to calm herself down again, and then cursed softly as her stomach kept forming into a tight knot and it seemed like her mind was filled with thoughts that kept trying to scare her away from the idea of trying this out. She tried to think about what restaurant Yoroi was talking about. If she remembered correctly it hadn't been a shabby place, and whenever she had seen it it had seemed like the people in there were pretty clean. That in itself was a small consolation.
"You are such a little shit Yoroi. You are just trying to get a rise out of me."
But she could have guessed this would happen sooner or later. She had to face her fears, she had to improve. How would she ever be able to become a true Shinobi if she couldn't even eat food prepared by others? I can always just take snacks with me that I make myself. But that wasn't the point, was it. Then she would be running away from her fears instead of facing them. And she had been doing that for way too long already.
It was probably comical for Yoroi to see all the various expressions on her face as she mulled this over and tried to come to a conclusion. This was about as hard for her as for someone else to decide which leg to have amputated.
"If I go, is it enough if I order one course? And do I have to finish it all? I .. I guess I can try it out if you promise you wont make me eat too much and if I don't have to repeat this again in a while."
She had clearly decided that this was a test he was putting before her, that was at least the only reason she could even begin to imagine trying it out. She needed the excuse, and she needed the boost. She needed to feel as if this wasn't really her choice but something she must do. Something that was crucial for her training and crucial when it came to the trainer who reflected on how she was doing. |

With a sleight of hands, the birds flew off of him and returned to whatever it was a bird during the day. Watching them as they twirled through the air, the treeline soon got too thick, ultimately being the deciding factor that allowed them to make way out of his sight. Though he often preferred the company of animals over that of other human beings, he had someone else to deal with, so looking after some birds was not on his to do list for the time being. Ever since he had met Satsune, he knew that she was a deeply troubled girl that needed a certain amount of attention to get her on the right path. Most people would not be able to handle being foulmouthed all the time, though Yoroi was not at all like most people, which was probably the best thing for Satsune right now. With him, she could spew her negativity and only annoy him to some extent, something that could not so easily be said about the average human being that would take offense to such things and might ask her to take her business elsewhere.
The frown on Satsune's face was all he needed to see in order to know about how she felt. There was not a single doubt existing in his mind about her being extremely annoyed with him, though that was exactly the point to all of this. Maybe if he managed to piss her off a bit, she would be able to push herself to do the kind of things she would normally never be capable of. The first things she said were as unkind as they normally were when she spoke to him, though it was all meant to cover herself and her fear of germs. Speaking about the amount of germs they would have there, the fact that she would not be able to see if they were wearing gloves and hairnets when making their food, this silly fear became all to obvious to those who might have heard it if they had been in a crowded street, making it clear to even the most stupid person alive to figure out that Satsune was a massive germophobe. Not long after she explained her reasons for not being all that willing to eat the food made by others, she took on a very different approach in the conversation, asking him if everything he said just now was some sort of test.
"There is no test, there exists only the fact that I want to take you out on a little birthday dinner. I can pretty much assure you that you will enjoy the food if you let go of such irrational fears. Because lets be honest, your fear of germs and filth is about as silly as being afraid of sharks in a two by four swimming pool. You're a shinobi, so fearing things like that as much as you do is not something you want in your line of work. What if you get someone else's blood on you during a fight?"
From the things he had managed to pick up from her personality, it seemed so incredibly unlikely for her to take him on his offer to have dinner made by someone else. As such, he was fairly shocked when she seemed fairly willing to try it out. When the word "fairly" was being used, it was used to imply that she was doing more than scolding him or calling him a shit, even though such things also came to pass. After all of her questioning and name calling, she asked him if it would be okay if she just ate a single course, which was already a major victory for him, should this actually come to happen. Where he any other person, he might have tried hugging the kid, though she would most likely not allow such a thing, while he personally wasn't one for just hugging everyone so easily. Putting his hand to his chin and stroking it a bit, he thought about what to say to her that might keep her from breaking this line of thought. She was close to growing as a human being by abandoning an irrational fear, and he knew that this was something she truly wanted for herself.
"As long as you promise me that you'll try it, it does not matter to me if you choose to eat an entire plate or if you just want to take a single bite. While I would recommend eating an entire plate, I wouldn't mind it if you can't bring yourself past the initial bite. It's not like the food will go to waste if You don't eat it."
When Yoroi said this, it was more or less implying that if she would not finish what he got for her, he would just end up eating it himself. Those close to Yoroi knew that his appetite was almost insatiable, eating about as much as a small household did in an entire day, something he considered to be dinner. When he was having dinner with Kimiko, he would often ask for seconds, and eventually sevenths if circumstances would allow for such a thing. Unfortunately for the restaurant that had offered him free dinner every once in a while for saving them from a hostile take-over, they did not know about his appetite and how it might end up costing them quite a bit if they allowed him to have free food. Getting up from his seated position, he stood up straight and more or less implied that he wanted to get going already by making a sideways motion with his head. He was hungry, so he wanted to get going now or not get going at all so he could suppress his hunger. All of this stalling got annoying.

Buuuullshit there was no test. She did not buy his 'excuse' for one second. Why on earth would he feel obligated to take her out to eat just because she had aged up? 15 years wasn't even that impressive of a birthday for that matter. And enjoy the food? Another bullshit sprouting from the Kaguya's mouth. Satsune could hardly contain her dislike for this whole turn of events, but she managed to only stand there with her mouth set in a firm line as she listened to him. His words stabbed her pride again and again as he commented on her fear of germs. Honestly, he thinks he just knows it all. And yet there was that small (tiny) part of her that knew he was right. Being afraid of germs wasn't exactly a good thing when you were a ninja. Well saying it wasn't a good thing was probably the understatement of the year. It was terrible. She never knew if she would have to be faced with a situation that might get her dirtied up. Or if she'd have to touch another human being. And what then? If she was sent alone out in a mission, then what? Fuck this shit. Just his mentioning of her perhaps getting the blood of another person on her made Satsune feel like her skin was crawling with disgust.
"I know, I know. Enough with the preaching."
She mumbled the words while glancing down to the ground, trying to rid herself of the slight panic that was threatening to rise within her. It was not fair of him to mention the germs -and- tell her to go eat with him. This was almost more than she could handle, and yet he insisted on pushing her. Always pushing and pushing, wanting to have her face her fears and make her do things she'd never even dreamt of doing. Yet Satsune knew he was probably the perfect candidate for the job. Nobody else would be able to push her like this, and nobody else would really have lasted a year in her royal-pain-in-the-ass presence.
Yeah I'm sure you'd gobble it all down in a second. It was no secret that Yoroi had an insatiable appetite; and often made the raven haired teen wonder where all that food went. Satsune sighed dramatically and then shrugged. Fine, she'd give it a go. This one time she would go for it, and then he could not say ever again that she wasn't facing her fears. She could promise him she would try and when she'd be at the restaurant she would decide if it was honestly worth it.
"Sure. So I guess that means you are finally ready to go? Geez you can be difficult."
Her little nagging came from the result of Satsune starting to feel uncomfortable and stressed out at the thought of going to the restaurant and having to eat the food there. (Not that she ever really needed an excuse to nag). If anything seems dirty there, or if any of the staff seem -incapable- of handling their job; I'm out of there. Promise or not. She'd only have to hope that Yoroi had the sense to pick out a decent enough place. If he'd pick something crappy, Satsune would make sure he would suffer for days to come. Now that was something she was an expert at. Even if it seemed like the male was becoming quite good at ignoring her attempts of getting a rise out of him, she was sure she could use her imagination and manage to get under his skin. Somehow. Although she was always sure to never go -too- far, after all she would never forget his subtle threat of making her disappear. Yoroi was not just a regular Joe who would always be sweet and patient, Satsune really did believe that he would actually go ahead and make her disappear if she didn't watch it.
Oh look he's getting up. So his highness is probably ready.
No matter what, she'd never cease being annoyed at having to do things at -his- pace. She had always been a princess that ruled everything around her, and this was like having her claws trimmed. While her left eyebrow twitched slightly from annoyance, Satsune picked up her things again and then looked around; trying to remember which direction would lead them back to the village. After a short minute, she was pretty sure she had figured out the way, but she made sure to walk a bit slowly so that Yoroi would soon take the lead. He was also probably by now very familiar with her lack of finding the right directions, and if he ever wanted to get food it would be best if he took the lead right now. Who knew if they would otherwise end up walking in circles for an hour or so.
"Did you honestly get here by coincidence? This is pretty far off in the woods. Was there perhaps someone annoying you?"
It was boring to walk in complete silence, and therefore she decided to grace him with her attention. The female also found it amusing how much others could annoy the Kaguya. It gave her a sort of satisfaction to know that he could actually become irritated and just 'give up' on those around him. It made him seem less out of reach as a human being. After all, a Sennin like Yoroi was someone that was always put on a high pedestal. He was supposed to be Konoha's wet dream, the high hopes and dreams of those who were too weak to even wipe their own asses. He was supposed to be that person who would defend this village if anyone would strike it. If I was him, I'd not do it. I'd sit back and watch everybody run around like scared chicken being chased by a fox. I'd not do anything until every single person in this village would come crawling and beg me to save them.

| Yoroi Kaguya | | | Another obvious response came from the predictable girl when she stated that she understood and that Yoroi could stop preaching. Satsune truly was predictable to him as she just mumbled about him, despite the best of his intentions being centered around the girl conquering her fears. It was something he had been trying to do for the past year, but had never quite been able to pull off. It was true that the girl was a royal pain in the ass, though that did not mean that she didn't deserve his help on the matter. She was a shinobi like himself after all, one that protected the same things as him, this being plenty of reason for him to try his best for the kid. Yoroi knew that deep down, she appreciated what he was trying to do for her, even though it seemed like she would rather jump down a cliff than actually come clean about it and really be honest, keeping the cussing and other foul mouthed speeches out of it for once. Still, this was what he had signed up for when he had made the choice to help the kid out with her problems several months ago. Whether it was him returning the favor in a way, he wanted to do his best to help this girl become a stronger person. Brushing the dirt off of his clothing, he looked at the girl for a moment, not really saying much of anything as he just thought about how she would need to handle herself with overcoming one of her biggest fears, germs and filth, two things she believed were present in Yoroi's favorite food. Soon, she would figure out just how childish a fear it really was. As soon as she asked him whether or not he was ready to get going now, he just nodded at her. She was correct when she said that he could be difficult, though the difficulty she saw now was nothing when compared to how terrible he could be once provoked into doing so. Heading with Satsune to the diner, he figured that it would still be quite a way to go before they'd actually reach it, which would make for an awkward silence. After a bit of walking, it seemed that Satsune still had a question or two for him. It was good to be around people who showed interest in such things without ulterior motives, so he had no problem with answering at all. She asked him if it had truly been a coincidence that he had met her out this far in the wood today, wondering if he had been annoyed by the people of the village. Apparently, he was not the only one who took an effort in figuring out a certain someone's personality. "Me meeting you out here was a coincidence, though I would like to believe that it was one of the good ones. I could have ran into far worse people than just you, so that in itself makes it quite alright, but I digress. There are times when people bother me and I need to get out for a bit, this was indeed one of those times."There were times when human contact just became too much, forcing him to retreat and walk it off. His home with Kimiko did not give him the rest he craved either, the apartments next to the cherry blossom creek being quite populated with small families and often plagued by kids that acted though by ganging up on one spot and harassing the community. These kids often encountered rather large serpents that seemed quite content with eating them alive, even though they were just a simple scare tactic. While this worked on a small scale, such things did not work on a village wide scale without getting him in trouble, so he took to going to an abandoned estate he tried to restore to it's former glory when he felt like he had gotten enough of people for a day, knowing that people rarely got close to such an estate. It was surrounded by a small park after all, and most people did not venture into the park after the things that had happened there in the past. It was safe to say that the entire estate had a bad reputation, though Yoroi was not one to be scared by stories. Today though, he had made the choice to head out into the forest and just be on his own. Though the intention had indeed been for him to just be on his own for the day, he did not mind spending it with his little protegé. After all, any time he could get himself a solid amount of food and get others to have a taste of his favorite food was a good time for him. Now, all they had to do was get a move on and get there.________________________ After a long walk, the two arrived in the cherry blossom creek, this being the place where Yoroi's favorite diner was. So far, the only person that had ever been here with him was his sister Kimiko. Though they simply ate what Kimiko managed to create with her cooking skills most of the time, on a rare occasion, the two would go out and have dinner together, something he felt like was going to end quite soon. After all, when things came down to it, he knew that Kimiko would move in with Toshiro by the time the two got married, at which point he would rarely ever get to see her at all. Though she always slapped such discussions aside by claiming it would not happen, he knew better than to just accept such a thing to be real. This was not a dream world after all, it was reality, and it was only the most realistic thing to second guess such things until he knew that she was not just lying to appease him. It was what humans did after all, they lied to one another so as to keep them satisfied, though the reality of it was often the exact opposite of what one wanted. It was a subject that was often on his mind, because Kimiko was perhaps the only person in the entire world that actually loved him. With the way things have been going, he would not be all that surprised about the two of them not seeing much of each other again. After all, she was to be Hokage and leader of the fire country and all of it's business, mixed with her no longer living in the same house as him making for a rather detached family life. Thanks to Kimiko taking an interest in him and helping him despite not wanting to be helped, he turned out the way he did, becoming a shinobi of the hidden leaf that now in turn had taken on a bit of a protegé of his own. Hopefully, he could do the same thing for her as Kimiko had done for him for the past three years. Dropping the thought for now, he figured that he would have been silent enough for the time being. Taking a turn on the small street that ran alongside the creek, the two shinobi walked up to a small diner, the place Yoroi had in mind when he wanted to the two of them to have dinner. Picking a nice spot in the corner of the building, he noticed that there were very few people present at this time of the day, which would certainly turn out to be a good thing for Satsune. Pointing out a seat for the girl, he walked over to the bar, instantly being greeted by the owner of the place."Ah, Yoroi-chan, it delights us to see that you've come back already. Is there anything you can do for you today? maybe a dish of your favorite food?""I would appreciate that, though I am not alone today. That girl over there is a student of mine who is rather afraid of germs, so I hope I am not asking too much if some of the cooks show the kid how they are outfitted to handle such things?""Of course not, i'll put in the order for two bowls of Tonkotsu Ramen. After that, two bowls of Gyudon Donburi, two plates of six skewers of Yakitori and a plate with Tonkatsu chopped into small blocks. While you two wait, i'll have one of my best cooks show that girl how we do things here."After the initial order, Yoroi waited around the bar as the owner of the diner headed into the kitchen to request one of the chefs to come into the diner and show Satsune how they prevented getting bacteria, dirt and other kinds of filth getting into the food. Waiting for little over a minute, a mine wearing a white attire walked out of the kitchen, wearing a hairnet, blue plastic gloves, a mask over his face and blue sleeves around his shoes. Had Yoroi not been certain of the place being free of bacteria and germs, he would have been ensured of it now. Nodding at the chef, he took off his shoe-sleeves and put them into the garbage bin. Now that he had gotten out of the kitchen, he'd need to put on new shoe-sleeves and gloves, these being the regulations set by the people who made laws for restaurant owners and their kitchens. As the man vanished into the kitchen again, Yoroi sat down in his seat with a rather smug air around him, even though his face was just as stoic as ever. There was nothing that had to be said right now that his own silence would not bring across to the kid. | | |

| Her ever criticising eyes watched every single building, person and street they passed by. With each new step that brought them closer to this diner that Yoroi was taking her for some food, the brick in her stomach got heavier and the frown on Satsune's face got fiercer. She was -not- happy. Not at all. For a moment she had thought about 'dropping' her things onto the street and possibly break something of the art supplies, or pretend to have twisted her ankle, throw herself through a window... anything to delay their trip or possibly stop it altogether. But considering who it was she was walking with, the female doubted she'd get away with it. He would rather drag her behind him than let her get away with anything. And the thought of being dragged on that filthy street was not appealing at all.
I don't know why on earth I agreed to this. This is not a good idea. I will get sick, like really sick. I bet there's someone working there that has the flu. Or a plague. Oh God I'm going to die. I will catch a disease unknown to humankind and die.
Satsune swallowed hard, but kept dragging her feet on. Step by step, they were getting closer. Her walking was slowing down bit by bit, and she was almost down to slumping onward like a zombie without aim by the time they stood in front of the small diner. Feeling as if the sword of Damocles was hanging above her head, the red eyed Shinobi followed obediently to the corner inside of the building. Her eyes ran over the surroundings; taking in the fact that there were just a handful of people in there and that the place seemed decent enough. At least there were no rat droppings on the floor, or spider webs on the walls, no clothing on the floor, nobody seemed sick, she also couldn't - ...
Her thoughts came to an abrupt halt as she just now noticed that she had sat down, and Yoroi had left her. Left. Her. Inside of that diner that could possibly be serving human flesh on a stick. A protest was starting to form on her lips as she glared hard at the strong back of the tall man, but then she swallowed the words down. He'd only make fun of her if he saw the state she was in: Sitting there like a skittish animal and sweating like a prostitute in church.
Her ears strained to hear what Yoroi was talking about to that person behind the bar, whilst she at the same time tried to make it look like she was very indifferent to anything and anyone. Why on earth would she care anyway? The seconds ticked by, turning into minutes filled with agony. Her eyes caught the man who came out of the kitchen, her scrutinizing gaze drinking in anything and everything about him. She had to admit that the sight was a bit satisfying; he seemed very clean and his whole attire simply spoke for itself. No germs were allowed in there. A bit of the pressure in the pit of her stomach was lifted, and she allowed herself to breathe a little. But just a little. She watched Yoroi approach and sit down, pretty certain she'd seen a glint of smugness in his eyes as he had apparently proved his point about this diner being clean.
I want to smack him with the menu. But that'd only make it too dirty for me to touch.
So instead she simply picked it up, and quickly hid behind it as to hide just how pale and nervous she was. However the constant trembling of her hands, which caused the menu to flutter back and forth, completely betrayed the teen. There was no real chance to pretend to be cool and composed. With a frustrated growl she slammed the menu down onto the table and pointed to the first thing that was written on it. Her eyes had not even been able to register what stood there, and she refused to look at either Yoroi or the menu. Both were just as treacherous to her right at that moment.
"I'll have that. And water."
The words tumbled out of her mouth before she clamped it shut and tried to regain her focus. Satsune felt like she was on a roller coaster; there was no control and no balance. Everything danced before her eyes and she actually thought she would be sick. What a shame it would be to have to stain such clean floors. Alas, she managed to hold it back but instead for a moment she thought she would actually faint from the mental strain. Again though she managed to breathe slowly in and out a few times and prevent herself from tumbling down. Her willpower was probably the only thing holding her together at this point. Keeping her from fleeing as fast as she could and never look back. Well it was her willpower and the fact that she'd never be able to find her way home again if she would leave alone.
This is nothing. I can do this. This is just food. Dirty..dirty..filthy food... No! There is nothing wrong with the food. I saw the guy, he looked perfectly normal and clean. Although Yoroi could have bribed him to just pretend....
Her own mind was even starting to betray her at this crucial moment, so with exaggerated interest she posed a question for Yoroi; with a nervous little undertone and her eyes never really seeming to catch any focus as she looked at him.
"You said you eat here often? What is it about this place that attracts you?"
If the male who was accompanying her had ever thought that her fear of germs was only a game or a 'stuck up girl' thing; he'd probably start to rethink right at that point. Satsune had literally never looked that bad before, and it was quite clear that her complexion kept switching from being white as snow to being green. This was probably what a person looked like when they were waiting to be executed.

It was obvious that Satsune was truly frightened by all of this, something he could see from the moment they started walking up to the moment they arrived at their destination, worsening as they neared their destination. It did not give him a good feeling to see the kid this frightened, though she had to understand that this was an irrational fear that was unfitting for a shinobi to possess. As time passed, she started shivering and shaking so much that it made him feel quite bad for bringing her in the first place, though it was something that had to be done. Some people would try such stuff through therapy, though Yoroi did not believe in that kind of approach, he believed in action. Part of him wanted to try and hold her hand when he saw how much the menu she was holding shook from front to back, though he figured that such a thing would just freak her out more. She didn't seem like the kind of person who wanted physical contact, probably finding it disgusting, so he chose not to try anything that might startle her.
For now, Yoroi just looked around a bit while he tried to ignore the state she was in, at least until it came down to the point where she truly needed his help. When the girl finally put down her menu on the table, she pointed at something she wanted to eat, as well as state that she wanted to have a glass of water. Yoroi had been selfish in this, for he had not allowed her to pick what she wanted, ordering his own favorite food for the both of them. Though it was selfish in a sense, it had spared her the time agonizing as she thought about everything that might be wrong with it. With the order placed, she could already start with her appetizer the moment she thought about her own menu. He thought this because the waiter was already moving their way with two steaming hot bowls of Tonkotsu Ramen. It made him wonder if she saw it as some fearsome bowl of germ-ridden death or if she would let the scent reach deep into her nostrils and start to make her hungry, which was what it always did for Yoroi.
"I'm sorry kid, but I already ordered for the both of us. This is Tonkotsu Ramen, it's filled with healthy vegetables, charred and crushed garlic and sesame seeds, chicken meat, a pork broth, boiled egg, melted butter, soy sauce and thick egg and wheat noodles. I eat this quite often, seeing as vegetables and pork are filled with vitamins, just like chicken and eggs are good for our muscles. This is real Shinobi food, and more of it is coming up."
As he finished talking to Satsune, he placed a hand on the waiter's shoulder, asking him for a glass of water for the girl. While he broke his chopsticks to prepare for his appetizer, he believed that he had told her about the majority of the healthy benefits of the food he ate each day. He knew a lot about food, and even though he was not much of a cook, he had been eating out so many times now that it was for free that it was almost ridiculous. As such, he thought that it would be a good idea to explain to her the benefits of all she would be eating as soon as it got on the table, hoping that she would consider the benefits to outweigh her rather irrational fear. After all, how could something kill you if it was good for you and actually made you physically stronger. Not knowing if she ever had food like this, he prepared his chopsticks and took the first bite of his meal. Before Satsune started eating, she asked him why he came to this place. It was a good question, one that made him think for a bit.
"Well, I would say that it is because it was close to home at one point, so I went there a lot. I went here with Kimiko when we felt like eating out, seeing as she was always the one cooking back home. Lately, she is far too occupied with her new tasks, as well as her fiance, though she still tries to do things with me so we don't grow apart. That was a few month ago though, because these days, I don't even know where my home is anymore... though that is not something you really need to know."
Yoroi said after pondering on the question and working down the first bite of his ramen. To him, this place was by far the best diner in all of Konohagakure, maybe even the fire country, though despite that, he had another place aside from this one that was very much to his liking. Taking another bite from his noodles, he made sure to include a piece of pork as he gulped it down. Thinking of what he had said just now, he hoped she would not take pity on him, not that he really thought that she was the kind of person that could do such thing in the first place. He was already nearing completion with the construction, or actually, the reconstruction of the Abura estate, making it his own for all intents and purposes. At this point in time, he was certain that people were working on the turning the old building behind the estate into a personal dojo where Yoroi could practice his physical prowess at his own pace without having to worry about other people. Soon, everything would be ready for him to move in. Maybe trying to fix things was just in his nature, just like he tried to fix Satsune right now.

| With horror edged over her face, she watched a waiter approach. With food. Restaurant made food. How had it happened so quickly? Why was he coming there? She noticed it was two bowls, and the smell indicated ramen. And then her mind just went blank as she tried to restrain the urge to flee out of there. The aroma of the food would have been appetizing for most others, but to Satsune it was ... horrifying. It was attacking her senses, and it made her stomach turn upside down. Maybe the waiter would just walk past their table, surely he wasn't going to randomly get them food without them having ordered. Satsune's ruby red eyes glared hard at the waiter as he kept approaching. Stop. Stop. Don't you dare come over here. Aaaaand then he was at their table, and placed down the bowls in front of her and Yoroi.
Will I get kicked out if I stab him?
"I'm sorry kid, but I already ordered for the both of us. He was talking a lot, and she was hearing nothing. He already ordered? Okay, that's fine. I guess. At least the food does belong to us and isn't randomly thrown out of the kitchen. What's this about ramen? Oh he ordered ramen? Sure, I don't care. The smell indicated so at least. Healthy stuff? Well as long as the ingredients are fresh and have been washed thoroughly. I'd rather not find anything half cooked in my food. Her eyes were flickering around, and Satsune was as fidgety on her chair as a person that had sat down onto an ant hill. She absolutely refused to look down into the bowl of food which was set down so tauntingly in front of her. Did he say he eats this a lot? Oh crap, fuck it, I don't even care. If he's confident that what he ordered wont kill me, I guess that's all I really need to know. She rubbed her sweaty palms against her coat, sort of wanting to unbutton the heavy layer of clothing; but decided against it as then it would be way too evident just how sweaty she was. Besides it wasn't like she was sweating from being too warm. This was just a damn unnerving situation she had found herself in.
Why did I let him talk me into this again?
Perhaps it wasn't too late to just flee right now. She jumped as Yoroi snapped his chopsticks apart. Her eyes were huge in her pale face as she watched him take his first bite. Her mouth went as dry as a desert, and she quickly snatched up the glass of water; almost splashing the entire contents over herself. After finishing gulping down a bit of the water, she placed the glass slowly down, and then finally managed to look down at her food.
Uh what?
Her attention went from the food to the man who sat in front of her, and Satsune tried to figure out just what he was talking about. Right, I asked him a question didn't I? Kimiko, who was that? Was he talking about the Hokage? Yeah, Satsune remembered hearing something about them being siblings? She blinked, stared at him, then nodded as if to just .. give a sign that she had heard what he said; before she again stared at the food like it was going to attack her any minute now. A shaky hand reached towards the chopsticks, they were slowly snapped apart, and then shoved down into the bowl.
There. Chopsticks are touching the food.
She felt a rush of relief, and felt actually rather proud of herself for that tiny little step. But now came the hard part. She pulled the chopsticks up, taking the tiniest piece of pork with them, and stared almost cross eyed at them. I can do this. This is alright. This doesn't look bad. It doesn't smell bad. Slowly and shakily the chopsticks moved closer to her face, the fierce look of determination making every single one of her facial muscles feel like they were retracting. Her mouth was firmly set in a white line, and she actually felt like her stomach was yelling out to her that she should just put that piece of pork down and then they could continue being friends.
Satsune glanced at Yoroi, knowing full well that he would be making mental notes on her progress, before she again pulled her attention towards the chopsticks and their motive. Slowly, very slowly, her mouth opened as her eyes closed. She simply could not bear to watch this piece of pork any more. With her hand still shaking, she suddenly used up the rest of her willpower and shoved the food into her mouth, pulled the chopsticks quickly back out and then clamped her mouth shut. A few nerve wrecking seconds passed as she simply sat there with her eyes closed and her mouth firmly pressed into a white line again. There was no sound coming from Satsune, and no movement at all.
Every single cell within her body was yelling at the female to spit that out. Spit out that pork before it would defile her insides. Her stomach made a few threatening moves, making her feel as if she was going to be sick; but Satsune refused to do anything but sit there with that potentially dangerous piece of pork in her mouth. The minutes dragged on, and she continued to sit there absolutely motionless. She did not open her eyes until her stomach calmed down, and finally then did she swallow the meat (without even so much as chewing it). An expression of fear, absolutely pure and overwhelming fear, crossed her face as she felt the meat go down into her stomach. Satsune could just imagine every single possible scenery where that meat had been tainted with germs, and her stomach once again started to assault her. It took all of her strength to hold back the vomiting, and sweat slowly trickled down her forehead as she turned even paler and then greener than before.
She waited a few good minutes, and nothing happened. She managed to relax her muscles a tiny bit, and there was no vomiting. She also could not feel any germs start attacking her on the inside and that was rather surprising to say the least. Her eyes again flew to Yoroi's face, and now her face expressed a look of wonder and surprise; and then the tiniest of smiles (which honestly made the female look more beautiful than she ever had) appeared on her lips and was reflected within her eyes. It was a genuine smile, the innocent smile of a person experiencing something ... extraordinary for the first time. And then the smile turned into a victorious one.
"I'm not dead!"
That exclamation might have seemed... weird to put it lightly in any other situation, but seeing how circumstances were right now for the two of them; this was probably the most normal thing she could have said at that point.

| Yoroi Kaguya | | |
Without much ado, Yoroi started eating his Ramen, picking out pieces of meat and vegetables and eating them at the same time, keeping the vegetable flavor from leaving a bad taste in his mouth. If they were not such a healthy part of his… diet, he probably never would have gotten to eating them, even though Kimiko seemed to always push him into having them regardless of what they might taste like. While they hardly improved his performance, he had learned how to eat something so very disgusting, only because getting good food without it was always such a hassle to make. That said, a lot of people in the hidden leaf seemed to value the culinary arts that had spawned over the years, becoming somewhat of a tradition. In order to fit into the village as well as possible, he had pushed himself past his own dislike in order to to do just that. When he looked back on such things in hindsight, he knew that it never really helped much, though he had managed to let go of a rather childish dislike, something Satsune was trying to do right now with his help.
When the Ramen was brought in, Yoroi thought it all smelled great and made him more hungry, though when he looked at Satsune, it was almost as if she was being suffocated by it. She truly was a strange one, because at this point, her struggle looked humorous. To him, it seemed like she had already come to terms with the fact that this kind of food had no deficiencies she could call out, which was really a good thing. Now all she had to do was to actually try it and taste for herself that there was nothing in it that would make her turn inside out. If she wasn't going to push herself to actually get something to eat, she would have her end of the table stacked up with food before they could start. Through it all, it seemed like Satsune did not even notice that he had been talking to her, which annoyed him a little. When people asked a question, the least they could do was be interested long enough to actually hear it. Pouting just a little, he went back to his Ramen, working down the last pieces of pork he could pick out of it. While he really did enjoy Ramen, meat was always better on a plate than it was inside of some soup.
Going at his typical pace of eating, it actually looked like Satsune was going about everything in slow motion, breaking her chopsticks, carefully picking something out and just staring at the food. When she finally brought a bit of food to her mouth, chewed it and eventually worked it down, she barely did anything for a moment while Yoroi just ate the last noodles in one go. After that moment, she suddenly stated that she had not died. From the happy expression on her face that actually seemed like it was not being faked, Yoroi made out that she was being completely serious. Not sure whether he should laugh with her or at her, he decided to just not laugh at all and buried his face in his Ramen, slurping down the the remainder of the soup. Putting his own empty bowl on the table with the sticks inside of it, he just looked her over. She had taken the first step by taking the first bite, though the fact that she had taken just that bite in the same time it took Yoroi to work down an entire bowl implied that there was probably not a lot of time before their main course was brought to the table.
With this, she simply had to come to terms with the fact that eating food she had not prepared was really not that bad, which in turn was a big step towards fixing her rather silly fear of germs. Through it all, he was glad that Satsune had managed to understand that her fear of getting dirty was a really silly thing when one had to handle being around sweat and blood quite often during their career. When his eye caught the door to the kitchen opening up and a small metal cart was pushed out by the waiter, he watched the food that was still fuming with a spicy aroma that got stronger along with it was drawing closer to their table. Thinking it might be a little overwhelming for her to see all of this food at the same time, he figured that he had made it quite clear to her that she would only need to eat until she was done with it. Allowing the waiter to put all of the plates down in an orderly fashion, taking away the empty bowl of Ramen and leaving them to their food again. To ease some of the possible shock she might feel through all of this, he did the same thing as before, explaining all the benefits he could think up.
"So, seeing as I am not sure if you've ever had any of this before, i'll give you a quick rundown of all the food we've got over here. These skewers are called Yakitori, they are spicy chicken that has been dry-roasted over a fire, meaning no bacteria or germ could possibly survive the process of cooking. These cutlets are Tonkatsu, basically, it's pork cut into fine pieces, seasoned and cooked with spicy herbs and soy sauce. Both of these dishes promote the build-up and maintaining of muscle tissue. Finally, the Donburi is a bowl with rice and small parts of beef and onions, simmered in soy sauce, so that means increased cell metabolism, increases the potency of your heart and improve your immunity to sicknesses and disease. That said, feel free to dig in when you're ready."
Again, the part of him that had been studying medicine, medical ninjutsu and the benefits certain types of food held for the human body. Knowing things were good for him seemed to help her, even if it was just a small stepping stone for the troubled kid. While there was really not a lot he wouldn't do to try and help the girl, there was nothing else he could do after the things he had done so far. As such, he picked up one of the skewers and started munching on the upper part of the chicken, waiting for Satsune to get a bit further into it.

| This feeling of conquering a great obstacle within your life is one of the biggest 'highs' you can ever achieve. Satsune felt like standing up, dancing, yelling, screaming out; but alas she didn't. She sat there, smiled like an idiot for a few more seconds, before she placed down her chopsticks and sighed like a person that had just finished eating 15 bowls of ramen. Boy am I glad it's just this bowl I have to wrestle with. Maybe she would dare take another bite in a few minutes, but first she had to get used to this feeling of having another person's food in her stomach. There was still a slighty lingering taste at the tip of her tongue, and that helped to make her stomach hesitantly decide that it wanted more. The low rumbling made her almost jump, as she quickly checked if Yoroi had heard anything. If he would find out that she was starting to get hungry, he might be tempted to order more food.
And speak of more food...
Satsune's worries of more food approaching were quickly coming true. Way too quickly for her liking. The door to the kitchen opened, and the female looked casually in that direction; before her face froze up in a terrified stare. This better not be coming this way. No no no...no no. Stop right there. Why is all this food coming this way? She glanced at Yoroi with a fierce scowl, as she should have seen that one coming. He did love his food and he was probably very determined to make her eat more. The waiter finally came all the way to the table, and with each new plate and bowl he settled down, the smaller Satsune got in her seat. Her eyes went bigger and bigger, until they watched the waiter leave. Leave her with all that food in front of her. Come back, come back and take this again you bastard! I don't want it! Perhaps Yoroi had seen her renewed distress, because he suddenly started talking and explaining the food to her.
His explanations were fine and dandy, and her eyes viewed the food with slightly less suspicion than before; but she was never in a million years going to be eating much more. No matter if her stomach had decided to completely betray her at this crucial moment. She'd maybe get a taste of one more dish before calling it a day. I hope that bastard Yoroi is ready to eat most of this food. I hope he gets sick and has to stay in bed for days. Maybe that'll teach that greedy prick a lesson. Satsune inhaled slowly, closed her eyes and tried to find her 'point of focus' while also banishing any thoughts of throttling the man in front of her, before she opened her eyes again and picked up her chopsticks with determination.
"If I vomit, I will be aiming for you."
Her words were clearly aimed towards Yoroi as Satsune tried to decide what dish to pick out. She targeted out a bowl of Donburi, snatched it a little bit closer to herself, and then began the same process as earlier. Her chopsticks slowly and shakily approached the food. (Satsune could swear she was being taunted by it). The tip of the chopsticks bit into the rice, and came up again with a small part of beef and onions along with a small part of rice mixed in. The muscles in her face twitched uncontrollably as she brought the food close to her mouth, small droplets of sweat were again starting to form on her forehead; whilst she stared intently down at the possible poison that was about to enter her mouth. Her stomach made a small sound, be it from fright or hunger, and the young teen used that moment to quickly shove the food into her mouth before clamping it shut. She waited for a few dreadful seconds, making sure nothing -bad- was going to happen, before a little bit of chewing and swallowing followed close by.
The food was good. She had to admit that, germs or not. Yet she felt like she was going to vomit just from the mental strain alone. This was making her feel absolutely exhausted, as every second was a fierce battle against her own treacherous thoughts. The mind surely was a powerful weapon, and could be either a powerful ally or a powerful enemy. I will make it my ally, I refuse to be a slave to my own thoughts and fears. Her expression was fierce as she lifted the chopsticks again and got more of the food onto them. This time she didn't take quite as long to get the food into her mouth, and she quickly chewed and swallowed. A small gag followed, as she had taken it quite fast this time, but Satsune only swallowed hard and kept her focus.
Stay down damn it.
Slowly in this manner did she take a few more bites, each time trying her best to fight with her inner demons. Her face got more pale with each bite, yet she also looked a bit more triumphant the more she managed to eat. However before she could even begin to say she was full, Satsune stopped and placed down her chopsticks. To go too far was never a good idea, and if she would eat more she'd only make herself sick. Her whole body was trembling, like she had just gone through a rigorous training and from time to time she felt light headed enough to want to topple down to the floor. Yet, she remained firmly seated and took a generous sip of cold water.
"Not too bad for a first time, eh?"
She brushed a heavily lock of raven black hair from her sweaty forehead, while waiting to see if Yoroi would manage to appreciate her effort. He better damn do that.
"I'm afraid the rest of the food is yours. I can't eat more at this point."

Though it did not exactly show through his actions or his facial expression, Yoroi was very proud of what happened in front of him, that much was undeniable. To set aside something one feared so much, no matter how stupid and irrational it was took guts, something Satsune had shown when she took the first bite, something she kept showing when she finished an entire bowl of something she thought could kill her at some point. It was not often that Yoroi actually felt proud, though occasionally, he would show such things when they had been earned, this being one of those rare moments. While he had been moderately proud of his team when they managed to complete the warehouse mission with only a minor injury inflicted upon Yuushi, he had not truly been as proud as he was of Satsune, though that was mostly because they still had an abomination of a spar to fix, which they had done by completing their two missions, one of which was in fact intended for Chuunin. Aside from that whole ordeal, there had also been a lot of moments in which the faith he had in people got shamed, and with it the pride he felt in being a part of their life.
It went without saying that the time when he could feel that Kimiko had chosen to pick Toshiro's side over his own that he in turn got the feeling of having misplaced his trust and faith, or had just handed out too much of it. One thing that should not be mistaken was that he truly did love his sister, it just hurt him a lot when he found out that in doubt, her vote would go out to the man that had practically set her up against him by lying to her face, lies she bought several times in a row. That however, was a few years ago, allowing Yoroi the time he needed to get over the fact that he had never really been the person he was to her that she was to him. These days, Yoroi sought to spend his days in solitude, doing what had to be done for the sake of the village and the people in it. For that purpose, he had gotten stronger, he had researched many different fields of combat and tactics so that he might become the person people either looked up to or feared, either one of these options being fine in his opinion. Fear was, after all, born from respect and the knowledge that he was superior to the one that feared him.
Stabbing his chopstick into another piece of pork, he brought it to his mouth and started chewing while he looked out through the window and gazed upon the creek, one of the first places of the village he had ever really seen when he was just a few years younger than Satsune was now. Knowing only that he had skewered the piece of meat quite aggressively, he made sure that the next piece of Tonkatsu was picked up the way it should, hoping to erase the faint glimmer of negativity that he felt a moment ago. His aggressive nature was prone to coming out when he thought about the bad things in his past, a thing of which they were many, though he managed to handle it better than those that went berserk and attacked people for no reason other than their own misfortune and the feeling that everyone was out to get them. Turning his attention back from the creek to Satsune as a means of checking up how she was doing with the new wave of food, he figured that she would have been able to handle herself well enough without his supervision.
Even now he could see that she was still not over her fear of germs possibly being inside of the food. While it had indeed happened like he thought it would, it did not seem like she was truly against eating any more than she had right now. Stating that if she had to vomit she would hurl it his way, he figured that was just something people said when covering what they really felt. Scratching himself behind his ear, he just looked up for a moment before looking back down at his food, working down another bite of Tonkatsu. With the majority of his Tonkatsu being thrown down the maw of the young Kaguya, he took a Yakitori skewer and dipped it into the Donburi, sticking some of the vegetables drenched in soy sauce on top of it before taking a big bite, munching on it like a satisfied beast. The vast difference between the two Shinobi was that Yoroi enjoyed every bite while Satsune seemed to have trouble just keeping it down, which in a sense made his food taste less great too. From that point on, it did not take long for Satsune to finally reach the point where she no longer wanted to actually eat anything, a decision he had sworn to respect, even if he thought it was a shame.
"Well... if you're really full, i'll stick to my promise. After all, I would hate to use your hair to wash the vomit off of me, wouldn't you agree?"
Though it was intended as a joke, his usual expression and somewhat cold manner of speech made it sound like a threat rather than a playful joke. The concept of fully grasping emotions and using them to affect people with them in a positive was still beyond his reach, though he was slowly starting to round up his quest to be like other human beings, having become so much more humane over the last five years as opposed to the animal he was before. Shortly after he shook the thought, he took the remnants of Satsune's food and stacked them onto what he had left, creating large portions of what had almost been depleted before. Working into his food while Satsune waited around for him to finish up, he could not help but wonder if she had stopped eating because she was really full or if she had some other motive. It was quite possible for her to be truly full because she had such a slender body, though that really did not mean a whole lot. Taking a skewer of Yakitori, he bit of a small piece to see if it was still hot enough after laying around untouched. Upon working it down, a question suddenly popped into his skull. "Did you at least manage to enjoy the food? you seemed so intent on not gagging the entire time that I don't think you really managed to get any of the taste going, or was that just my inability to judge you?"
It was an honest question in his opinion, after all, he would want to get some feedback from the young woman about the food he had named as his favorites. If he was wrong in making such an assumption, that just meant that he did not know this side of Satsune well enough and had to try and understand her better, even though that would most likely become quite annoying for her. Through it all, she had not made that many attempts to keep herself from yelling at him or badmouthing him, this being the difference between himself and most other people around him that all acted respectful out of actual respect or fear, something that did not seem to bother her all that much. Maybe that was why he enjoyed spending time with the kid, even though he did not do it as often as he probably should, given the fact that Satsune could be quite... problematic around people. While he let those thoughts go around in his brain, he decided to let another piece of fry cooked chicken go down his throat while awaiting her response.

| "Well... if you're really full, i'll stick to my promise. After all, I would hate to use your hair to wash the vomit off of me, wouldn't you agree?"
Satsune made faces at the male and also made a rather crude gesture with her middle finger, but didn't challenge him any further on the matter. She honestly couldn't help but chuckle softly to herself, but hid that motion behind her hand; pretending like she had to yawn. Whether Yoroi was joking or not, she didn't really trust that he would -not- do that. And she sort of enjoyed that side of him. The side that others seemed always so afraid to portray. A rather dark side, dark humour which always made you question just what he was meaning. His subtle threats were often quite literal. Satsune had no intentions of having her hair used as a napkin, so she made sure that her stomach was having no problems. And if there would be problems, she would probably aim for someone else than the white haired Kaguya sitting in front of her.
"Did you at least manage to enjoy the food? you seemed so intent on not gagging the entire time that I don't think you really managed to get any of the taste going, or was that just my inability to judge you?"
She sat back in her chair and tapped at her still very flat stomach (evidence that she had indeed not eaten much), whilst pondering over his questioning. She could of course always say that she hated this place and wanted to burn the kitchen down along with all the staff. But the truth was that the food hadn't been bad at all. And this place ... well it wasn't too shabby either. It was of a decent enough size and wasn't overly crowdy, and there were no nosey waiters hovering over her shoulder each second asking how the food was. The most annoying thing you could ever experience when eating out (although Satsune had only watched it happen to others seeing that she did not eat out) was when a waiter would approach just as you took a huge bite of the food, and he would proceed to ask at that point how everything was. Like really? It was about as pointless as when a dentist asks you about your day when he has his hands practically down your throat.
"The food wasn't bad. Better than I had expected."
Her answer was curt but would probably satisfy the male. It was a wonder she was really talking this much to him and actually answering his questions without putting up a fight or making rude comments. There wasn't even a hint of sarcasm! Surely, the world was about to come to its end. The female was also honest enough with her answering, without giving anyone or anything too much compliments. God forbid that would ever happen. The last time she had ever complimented something that she hadn't made herself .. well... had that ever happened? I honestly can't remember. But well it's not my fault if other people are inadequate in what they do. She watched Yoroi wolf down the rest of the food, and honestly started feeling full just by watching that greedy display. Where does all that food go? I hope he gets fat one day, that'd suit him just right.
"It was just a bit more difficult than I had thought, hence why my stomach was starting to feel a bit aggressive. Although I'll admit I managed to eat more than I had guessed I would. Now I just have to see if I get sick or not later tonight."
Her foot pushed lightly against her stuff which was placed up against the table. Now after eating, she felt like continuing with that painting of hers. Even if she couldn't say she was fully 'full', she still felt content and could go through the rest of the day without feeling much hunger. It seemed like Yoroi was almost done eating everything that was left on the table, and Satsune felt like she should maybe start going before he'd either try to eat her or start on the table next as a dessert. There was nothing more for the two to talk about anyway, and this little 'test' was over and done with. Satsune felt like she had scored a fat A+ on it, and hoped that Yoroi had the sense to agree with her on that.
"I think I will get going. You seem to be almost done, and we are hopefully not going to be receiving more food?"
The raven haired female stood swiftly up as she finished saying that, not really expecting him to answer that little remark, (plus she was very intent on fleeing if indeed there was more food on its way) and started gathering her things before finishing the water from her glass. She wondered if she should thank him for this encounter, or smile or say anything at all? The female had no idea, she wasn't exactly 'trained' to be around humans. And it often seemed like he thought differently than the rest, and required less communication. So instead of really saying anything, she gave him a nod (maybe just a nod of acknowledgement, seeing as he was the only person she could really stand being near), before Satsune turned on her heel and started leaving the restaurant.
Until next time. 'Sensei'.
[Exit.]

As she tapped against her stomach, he could tell that she was not the least bit full, even though she had at least managed to get some food into her body before throwing the towel into the ring. While that did not make him feel very happy, they had at least made progress in getting rid of Satsune's fears, something that would not have happened if she had not been willing to at least try. Rolling a piece of Tonkatsu pork around on his plate while thinking of what he should do to help the kid out next, he found that she was not yet done talking. While she did say that the food was not as bad as she had expected, it was her stomach that had been acting up rather aggressively, a result of her brain thinking that the food would bring her body harm, thus trying to regurgitate it and get rid of it. While the process was natural, it went to show how much control the brain had over functions like throwing up, something he once believed was caused solely by his stomach. That said, he was pretty stupid when it came to such things when he was seven. It was to be expected of a kid that knew nothing of the modern world and had only learned how to speak from travelers and from Hani, a woman who taught him a thing or two about being a shinobi to help him survive.
Admitting to the fact that she liked the food more than she originally thought she would, Yoroi felt even more like he had done a good thing for the kid by going through the whole process of dropping an irrational fear that would only work against her in her line of work as a Shinobi, no matter what kind of direction she would be taking within that branch. Shinobi that were afraid of filth would never be able to work to their full capacity while those who feared germs as a whole might find it troublesome to even attack their enemy in fear of getting blood or sweat on them. When Satsune stated that she would now have to wait and see if she would get sick later on the day or in the evening, he just frowned a bit. The only thing that was in her way was her own mind, not her body, nor the food. Despite the current thoughts and talk of getting sick and throwing up food, Yoroi's ordered dishes of Tonkatsu, Donburi and Yakitori did not taste any different, still enjoying it despite all of the food-unfriendly talk. Tossing the last bit of Tonkatsu into his mouth, he placed the empty bowls of Donburi and Tonkatsu on the side, leaving only a few sticks of Yakitori.
After the two shinobi exchanged a few more words, Satsune stated that she felt like heading back home now, seeing as he was almost done eating anyway. While the proper etiquette Kimiko taught him insisted that people sat down and waited for their dining-partner to finish their food before leaving, Yoroi figured that he had already asked for a lot from the girl that was usually such a loud mouth with a mean streak. Satsune told him that she hoped that he had not ordered any more food, he could not help but grin a bit at the thought of forcing her to eat any more. While it would have been funny to see how she kept wrestling just to work down a bite he would finish in 0.2 seconds, she had shown enough spunk for one day to prove that she was fit to one day become a decent shinobi. Still holding a stick with some remnants of chicken stuck onto it, he figured that etiquette was not actually important right now, seeing it as something he might be able to teach her once they got to spend time after they got past her fear of germs. Scheduling this to be at least another year away from the present, he still felt proud of her and figured that if she wanted to go home early, she had at least deserved that much without him complaining about it.
"If you need me, I take it you'd know where to find me. There's a new estate close to the Hokage mountain, along the that's closer to the clan headquarters. You can't miss it, there's a white wall around the premises and a black steel gate that's been engraved with dragons. Do keep in mind that getting to the estate from that point on will take a couple of minutes. Stay safe, Satsune."
With that, he watched the kid walk out while working down the last of his Yakitori skewers, but not before dipping it into the remnants of his Donburi, aiming to scrape out the last of the soy sauce for some additional flavor. Biting the first block from the top and chewing down on it like it was the last piece of food he would ever be getting in his life, he took note of Satsune nodding at him before she left the restaurant. Sending a nod back at her, Yoroi knew exactly how similar the two of them were to one another, neither of them being all that perfect around other people, nor were they the best when expressing emotions other than anger, but they were slowly learning. While Satsune had been trying since they first met and become a bit of a shinobi duo since that time, Yoroi himself had been trying to become more like the people ever since he came to the village five years ago. His mentor was the same person that had taken him into her home and helped him reach deeper into the heart of the Hidden Leaf Village, the place he now spent his life on to protect, along with the handful of people he loved. Now that Satsune had disappeared from his sight, he thought about what she said about more food, resulting in him pulling the waiter back to his table.
"Would you mind bringing me this same ordered one more time, maybe with some additional Teriyaki beef and a glass of orange juice. That'll be it."
During his order, as well as right after it was placed, he could tell that the waiter had a hard time believing a single person could all of this and still want more despite not being a big tub of lard from the Akimichi clan. They could not be blamed for it, after all, even his sister Kimiko had a hard time feeding him when he was younger, which was why he often told her that he was in fact full, only to go out of the village and hunt down and roast whatever he could catch in the night to truly sate his appetite. How it was possible that he could eat this much and still not be remotely fat was something no one could really know for sure, though Yoroi speculated that it was a part of his body. His body was vastly different than that of other human beings, so it was not that stupid to assume that the two were related. Whether this was the case or not did not matter, all that mattered now was to wait for the next shipment of food to be brought in. Hopefully, these people would not regret allowing him to eat here for free...
