You've got family in the Middle East? Where abouts? If you're comfortable with sharing that is. I'm actually heading to the UAE, topic title was 4tehlulz, but Saudi Arabia, along with Iran, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Jordan, are places I'd love to or plan to visit in the future. Despite the bad reputation the Middle East gets, for obvious reasons, the region as a whole has some beautiful and fascinating locations that shouldn't be ignored.

They live in Saudi Arabia, actually. I've been to Bahrain and the UAE also, though not for many years. I do agree that they all have some beautiful places to visit, and I hope to properly visit each area as well.
