"Yeah, that's our shipment. That one right there."As the sound of a bustling crowd filled the area, there was one wagon in particular that seemed to have the most activity around it. Most of the people were moving around and lifting crates of merchandise to be placed in the wooden, horse-drawn contraptions, but one of them simply sat at the front of the smaller wagon, where the driver would be once everything was properly stowed away. Though it was rather warm outside, the figure donned a simple cloak - the kind that most people wore when the temperature was expected to drop. For a disguise, it was rather simple, but the cloaked individual wasn't one to draw the kind of attention that the cloak was intended to prevent. He didn't look very intimidating, after all.
Adjusting his cloak, Kyousuu looked around the area, his nerves forcing him to be overly cautious. This was his first mission in a while, and as was the case with most of the missions he'd been assigned, he didn't even vaguely recognize the names of his mission partners.
"Ki...Kirei..."Mumbling to himself, the shinobi pulled out a small slip of paper that had the names quickly scribbled onto it. He knew that while they were going to be mission partners, it was best not to get on anybody's bad side. Quite the opposite, actually, and consequently he took it upon himself to at least try and remember their names. Since there were very few names that he had to remember, it wasn't something he was particularly skilled with. That coupled with the fact that he didn't want to have to take the entire mission brief with him led him to jot the two names down on a spare piece of parchment.
Straightening out the crumpled up paper, he scanned over it, his emerald green eyes briefly catching the light from between the clouds.
"Kiretsu, Kazuo... and Hariko, Satsune, ki."He quite liked the first person's name, as the way the syllables fit together was rather pleasant. It was a name that easily rolled of the tongue. The other was much less smooth, but there wasn't anything particularly difficult about it.
With a sigh, Kyou shoved the list back into his pocket and began to gently swing his legs. He was the first to arrive at the wagons, and though that made the waiting period awkward, he didn't mind it too much. It gave him time to calm his nerves and, granted the others came one at a time rather than together, he could allow himself to put each person's name to their faces without it appearing forced.
That said, he would have assumed that Kazuo was a male's name, but Satsune... that was, to an extent, a unisex name, so he'd likely be making wild guesses as they approached. Situations like these made him truly appreciate the introduction process.
While the merchants were still gathering up the goods and getting them loaded, the three genin had plenty of time to arrive at their destination and go over the mission briefing before setting out. He doubted that they would simply leave without their escorts, nor would they leave before said escorts were ready, but assuming was a dangerous thing. It could lead to miscommunication and fatal errors, which were two things that never had a place in any mission, even one of such a low rank.
'I wonder if my parents thought about that when they assumed I'd just up and become some star child when they shoved a bijuu into me,' he thought to himself as he stretched and looked up at the clouds.
"No offense, Son," he added with a giggle. While the vocalized, playful jab at the bijuu got him a few confused looks, he knew that it didn't matter. He could feel that it was time to take his work with the beast to the next level, and had planned to do so once his move out of his parent's house was complete. That alone was a stressful task as he'd yet to even tell them that he planned to move out. The boxes in his room would have made them suspicious, but neither of them had approached him about it - which meant that they had most likely not even seen them.
"Good," he muttered under his breath before spotting an approaching figure. Squinting, he had a gut feeling that the figure ahead of him was one of his assigned mission partners, but would wait to see if they spoke up first.
