Clan Name: Imbanya [literally means "engraver"]
Location: Kumogakure
Signature Traits:

Attire: The Imbanya clan values loyalty to one's family and place emphasis on honoring those who come before. As such, most Imbanya wear somber (stone) gray yukata that go, at the shortest, to the knees regardless of sex, with a very ornamental obi usually made of blue-dyed silk. The embroideries on each obi is supposed to be different, as they are significant clue-ins to the wearer's past, status, and capabilities. The clan symbol, resembling a shinto gate with a kunai pointing downward within, is sown onto the back.

As isolated and unwelcoming of outsiders as the clan is, they also highly value and honor the bonds of loyalty they have made to any units outside of their circle. As such, an Imbanya clan member without the Kumo mark on him and admits that it is no accident is as good as declaring himself a missing-nin, ready to be executed for treason at any moment.

They also tend to have a conical-shaped hat woven of grass and painted black or with the symbol of their clan when traveling outside. Dark blue or light blue robes are also used in colder weather.

Coloration: Having spent a long time in the cavernous temples of their home, an Imbanya has several notable physical characteristics.

Eyes - Imbanya eyes are like wolf eyes in the dark, minus the glowing: a very pale blue, some even having very light or altogether missing pupils. These eyes are unfortunately quite sensitive to daylight, but are better than an average man's in the dark. It is one of the reasons why Imbanya clan members tend to complain of headaches on long travels in sunny territories and keep their rooms as black as a bat cave if they can.

Skin - Some folks may call the Imbanya people "cave ghosts," and that isn't by any means a far stretch. Imbanya clan members have very pale skin, tone leaning more to gray than peach, and depending on how much time they don't spend outside - indeed, some families have not left their caves for decades, or ever - the paler they are. Those who frequent Kumogakure in areas where the sun visits either wear a lot of sunscreen (an underwhelming but perfect solution to their grief) or do so cloaked head to toes in robes and hats to avoid getting burnt.

Hair - Once upon a time, an Imbanya's hair might have been blond. Now, that is no longer the case, and only very rarely does one see the trait returning in a child. Most Imbanyas have white, straight hair that they keep long and braid in several different, traditional styles to signify age, experience and status, regardless of sex. For shinobi where long hair is impractical, they cut their own hair, braid it and attach them to their sashes or clip them on instead.

Equipment: Some Imbanyas carry their stone stakes in their back-pouches, but others who have more sizable conducts can be seen with a rectangular box on their backs, reminiscent of a medicine salesman's box. Contained within are anywhere from four to twelve long stakes, each made of stone mined from the mountain quarry and usually with four to six sides to each of them. Each side is carved intricately in symbols and abstract drawings, much like the kind one would see in a sealing scroll. In the dark of night, a stake may be seen faintly glowing, though most Imbanyas do not flaunt them until they have need to use them, so not many see the objects until they are used in battle, and by that point it is usually impossible to see.

Kekkei Genkai:

The technique which the Imbanya used - also earning them the name "engraver" - is one that they consider unique to the region at large. It involves, as mentioned above, the use of a number of stone nails or stakes, anywhere from ten inches long to twenty-four, some as thin as a sapling's trunk and some as thick as an oak's.

Generations of lost lives and many more to come have been spent on improving the script used to carve on the sides of the stakes to achieve success; it bears some resemblance to the runes used for common paper sealing, but at a more in-depth look is much, much different, and Imbanyas will jealously guard this secret with more than just their lives, but (at least rumored so) their comrades' as well.

These engraved stakes, depending on the intricacy of the patterns and skill of their craftsmen, have three major usages most common to an Imbanya shinobi: a chakra storage, a sealed spell (given that a "jutsu" would imply that it has more flexible uses,) or a point of conduct.
