Initake walked on the border of Wind Country and River, taking a stroll. He was actually supposed to be on Guard Duty as a mission for Suna, to make sure no one illegal gets into Suna, so he, amongst others, were sent to see that this job is fulfilled. His combat prowess made him the only genin assigned to this mission, while the others were all chuunin, and two or three jounin.

He looked about, on all of his sides, at the surrounding scenery. To his front, he saw the sand shift to dirt, and eventually open plains, with a couple rivers, and some intersecting. He looked to his right, and saw mostly sand, but a couple animals or River Country crossing the border again and again and again, grazing one one side, and walking it off on the other.

The Sun overhead beat strong on his head, and it did for miles, so he assumed. At this point, it was, to his guess, for he never carried a watch, it was about 10 AM. The Sun felt like it was maybe about 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit, making it nearly unbearable with nary a breeze to cool him off. If he was stationed on the front lines, like the three jounin and some chuunin were, he would. But Suna just likes to torture its underlings like that.

He saw a person running in the distance, but it was too far to identify if it was one he could let pass, or one he should stop. He also could not tell male or female, but he would let time tell, like he usually does.

Saya had been marching all day beneath the overbearing sun, A little happy to have the shade of all of her equipment. When wandering through territory that wasn't her own, Saya was always sure to arm herself to the teeth. In the distance she would be an indistinguishable mass on the horizon, but the glint of her weapons was obvious. In the open prairie lands, her long and unhidden spear was like a beacon to draw attention. She was mostly black, which did little to stifle the heat, but she didn't much mind.

This march was just one of a million. She had so many miserable voyages to compare it too, that they all seemed meaningless. Though she was sweating, she had no complaints. The heat didn't bother her, and she marched on in spite of it. Her pace is fast, but well beneath a run. An intentional walk in a straight forward line that showed obvious training. She was not just waking, she was marching, and under her breath she hummed a familiar song. She could hear the beating of drums in her head, and all of her childhood seemed closer when she was in this state.

Exhaustion seemed a little apparent, as she had been on the move for several hours already. It didn't slow her pace, but it did send her mind wandering, and let her guard down just a little. She certainly wasn't a sitting duck, but she hadn't been sent here with war in mind. If she had, she certainly wouldn't be alone. She was on her way to Ame, and just had to pass through the land of Rivers to get there.
