[3rd LDS Stage Training]

Having reached the land of lightning, Ophelia decided to stay away from villages for a while, just to make sure she wouldn’t be discovered by anyone. Spending days in nature could become boring quickly, though, for books were not endless in supply. So she needed something to do and what was better than training to keep fit and prepare for the mission she was assigned to? Heading out near the bottom of a  waterfall which ended in a wide river, Ophelia decided that it would be best for her to train close to water for it helped her relax more and clear her mind. She went to the shore and sat down, her feet covered in the water to retain the needed calm. She looked around to reassure herself that no one was there and then she closed her eyes.  Of course nothing happened at first and she was just sitting there, feeling a little stupid, trying not to think of anything so that she could communicate with the Bijuu.  Of course this was the hardest thing ever for the female, for recent events distracted her greatly from keeping calm. She still thought about that man from the bar every day and every night and how mysteriously he had died just before he was about to reveal something great. He was killed, but her life was spared and that was something the female didn’t quite understand. She cleared her throat and sighed, reprimanding herself for thinking of something. Her mind had to be empty and not full of earthly things that only kept her busy and worried.  She opened her eyes and looked over to the distance as a slight breeze caressed her hair. She looked down at her reflection in the water. When had so much time passed anyway? She was an adult now, not that it made much difference to the world or to her really. In the Ninja world you were an adult as soon as you graduated from the academy and that had happened many, many years ago in her case. Still she could not believe how far she had come.  And now, this mystery unraveled before her eyes like a fog too thick to see through.
Her eyes turned blank and stared at nothing as her body loosened and tumbled forwards. With a great ‘splash!’ she fell into the water, motionless, and began to sink. As she sunk further into the depths of the river,  air bubbles escaped quickly her mouth and nose, trying to save themselves from the threating depths. But she was no normal human being. She was a Jinchuuriki.

Inside her mind once again, she found herself in utter darkness. Looking around she fought the urge to make a ‘knock-knock’ joke at the Sanbi. It was so dark she couldn’t see anything, so she felt her way to where the Sanbi was located with the help of the wall. “Isobu?” she shouted into the darkness as she proceeded further into it. It seemed as though there was no end to that cave and the spot where the Sanbi was tied down would remain concealed from her forever. Had it escaped its ties? But that wasn’t possible, for she hadn’t talked to it for many days and she would have noticed if it escaped. She figured. It wasn’t like she knew everything about Bijuus now, she barely could accept that creatures like these even existed. She finally saw a ray of light in the distance and approached it until she found the Sanbi, still tied to its place with the chains. It looked tired and asleep.

The Uzumaki approached it, cautiously for she was still a little bit scared of it, and reached out to touch it. She caressed its shell but it made no sound. Suddenly, it moved and along with it the whole cave started trembling. “Whatcha want, gurl?” he spoke barely loud enough for her to hear. His speaking was still rather impaired, let’s say, but it certainly helped that the Sanbi heard Ophelia speak everyday. It started learning how to speak properly. Ophelia looked at it rather intimidated that it was so harsh to her. Normally it was just indifferent or not even talking to her. But now it was actually as if it was mad at her for something. “I need you to give me your power.” She said and looked at it, surprised herself that she said it so straight forward. It was time they started working together to avoid dying. “I believe your power would come in handy in a battle situation and I need you to grant me access to it at all times immediately.”

The Sanbi said nothing for a moment and just looked off into space. Then it closed its eyes. Ophelia waited for several minutes and concluded that it might have fallen asleep while thinking of an answer. If it really cared to answer her. “Um….Isbou?” she asked while touching his shell. It moaned in annoyance and the cave shook again, pieces crumbling and falling down.

“I’mma give you power of mine…but I want something.” He added. Of course, Ophelia thought as she almost sighed but refrained herself from doing so for it would upset the Sanbi. “I want you to talk to me everyday and let me into your thoughts.  I want to be everywhere and know everything. You won’t shut me out anymore.” This request seemed rather harmless to Ophelia. Though it could be a nuisance to always have a commentary voice inside her head, she didn’t think of it anything and quickly accepted. At that time, she wasn’t fully aware of the consequences this decision would bestow upon her.

To get power, you have also to break a chain. The one of my middle tail.” He said and turned his head slightly to his back, trying to show her what he meant. Ophelia turned around and looked at one of the three tails which were all heavily tied down with chains. She moved towards the middle one and pulled at the chain. It was a very big fat chain and pulling it really took all her might. As soon as she had pulled it off though, it disappeared into a blinding light. Before she could do anything, the tail had risen itself and hovered over her head. In a second it smashed down on her and flattened her very existence. She didn’t even have enough time to scream.

Sweat dropped down her face she found herself at the shore, soaking wet till her bones. She breathed heavily still recovering from the near death experience she just had. Did it try to kill her? She looked around and saw nature devastated around her. Had she done that?

Either way she rattled herself up and walked back to her tent. She had to be places, things to do, people to capture. The Sanbi silently laughed in the back of her head, its plan having been set in motion. All the female needed was a slight push over the cliff, and then everything would be over.
