Onward to River! {Cara and Ini's Mission} Vide

As the guard read the scroll, and deemed it official, he opened the gates slowly. Well, considering the gates were unimaginably heavy, the only way to open them is slowly. He sighed as he breathed in after using a lot of strength to get the damned things open.

Initake, now a large dog, and by no means the dog that anyone sees in the village, walked out of the gates. He was a little bit smaller than a Great Dane, but he weighed maybe about forty pounds more. He stepped outside of the gates, and urged his partner for this mission to follow behind him. "Well, let's go! We don't want any more of that cargo to be stolen, or displease the Kazekage, do we?" Upon saying this, he saw Koujetsu take a few steps forward, and as he saw this, he began to run off.

After a few seconds, all Initake saw was sand. Sand, sand, and more sand. then again, they WERE in a desert, what was he expecting to see? A jungle? here and there, very scarcely scattered, he saw a couple of oases. He stopped after a few more minutes, and looked back. Koujetsu was still slowly, but surely, following.

Initake stopped. He then made an arm motion, saying either 'Let's go!' or 'Hurry up!', but it could have been mistaken as a wave. Eh. Koujetsu got it anyway. "Let's go! I think I can see the river anyway!" He was bluffing.

But after a few more minutes of senseless travel to the east, he was sure of it that it was the east, he heard a buzzing noise. Bugs. he hated them. But, it was a good sign at this point. Where bugs swarm usually means water. Water must be near. And at this point, Initake was sure Koujetsu would be nowhere in sight, considering he ran all the way here nonstop after the time he first stopped.

He walked slowly, now a human once again, and saw a river a few tens of feet in the distance. He looked up, and saw an eagle in the sky. he knew it was an eagle, their feather color is unmistakable. He knew it had to be Koujetsu. I mean, how many other eagles would there be in the desert?

Koujetsu sighed as he stood there next to Initake, his neck scrunched up so that he could pull his cloak over his head to hide from the blistering sun. it was hot, he was thirsty, it was dry, and it was hot. Let alone he was still tired, something that heat always seemed to do to him no matter where he was. Considering he was in Suna, he was tired a large majority of the time, and that accounted for about maybe a third of his laziness. The other two thirds were just Koujetsu being lazy, something that occurred quite frequently.

After being waved through by the guards, Koujetsu took a couple steps outside of the village and stopped, the heat beating down in his face acted like a wall for a moment. It was terrible, especially since the sun was reaching its peak, notably the hottest part of the day. Since the sand didn’t really do any good with absorbing heat, all of it was reflected back upwards, causing a massive amount of light refractions at ground level. Now Koujetsu could see why people saw mirages, as the refractions of light due to the heat waves cause the blue sky to be reflected on the ground. That definitely would throw people off and cause them to believe that an oasis or something was out there right in the distance.

Sighing, Koujetsu took another step into the desert, and jumped into the air. Moments passed from the jump, and sand finished settling again. Anyone who would have seen the jump from inside the village would have been confused if they could not see the now very large eagle soar above the village walls, riding the thermals, heat waves generated by the sun beating on the ground, to soar high into the air. Looking down at the distance, Koujetsu could see a dog farther ahead of him and internally sighed. Had Initake waited for Koujetsu, even just a little bit, he could have put a seal on him to transfer his vision. They could have saved time looking for the river this way, although it didn’t really affect his vision much with the heat waves. The eagle eyes were wired weird, allowing him to see straight through the light reflections and refractions with ease.

Sighing, he did a circle and slowed down his flapping, allowing him to stay above or slightly behind Initake’s running canine form. It would figure he was an Inuzuka. The second Koujetsu met him he knew something was off with this mission. A clan that allowed their members to shift into forms similar to their dogs, and a member of a clan that allowed multiple form shifting. This has planned written all over it, and something didn’t sit right in the back of Koujetsu’s head when he thought about that. Sighing internally again, he was sighing too much these days, Koujetsu slowly and lazily spiraled down to the river Initake stopped by, giving it a once over to clarify that this was indeed the area that they were supposed to meet the people who gave them their mission, although they were a ways downstream from them. Landing on the edge of the rivers bank, Koujetsu dipped his beak into the water and lifted his head back up, easily shifting into a clothed human form.

“The caravan is still up the river a ways. Not too far, but enough. Lets take it slow, and in human form. I don’t want to waste any more chakra right now, cause something is telling me that this isnt gonna be easy.”
