My prediction: Gai will be saved from death by whatever superpowers that Naruto and Sasuke are being granted by the Rikudou Sennin. I'm quite eager to see what these superpowers will be, or how they will manifest.

I hope you enjoyed seeing Gai rip Madara a literal new hole with his Night Moth Technique. Even Madara acknowledged Gai as the best Taijutsu user he had ever encountered. Clearly Madara is coming to realize the threat of new day shinobi. We're still yet to see what Naruto and Sasuke are now adding to their repertoires- although we know Naruto clearly controls life; having saved Gai's heartbeat and all, with nothing but the slightest touch with his circular tattoo under his right hand.

Madara is breaking a sweat, and was further panicked once he had seen what's become of Sasuke and Naruto.
Once Madara is dealt with Obito, Orochimaru, and Kabuto will still remain. War may result as a result of impending decisions as to how they should be persecuted following these events.
