| Yoru walked towards the hatchery just outside of Konoha, It was as always just a simple mission. Today he was to go to this village because some moron had not been careful and let a large amount of foreign fish loose into the village’s waterways where they kept their fish. It was not exactly what Yoru would find enjoyable his first mission back from his long time locked away within his apartment, but he felt it was a good way to ease his way back into the life that he had forgotten about during his long time studying. Pulling out the scroll Yoru began reading over the info about the little buggers he would be hunting for. “Piranha a carnivorous fish with razor sharp teeth. Most people keep them as pets yet other people do enjoy having them served up grilled.” Yoru let out a shudder, the thought of a fish having razor sharp teeth gave him chills. Yet it was his mission to go find them and catch them without killing them which just made matters harder. Now approaching the Hatchery Yoru prepared for the most unpleasant mission he would have to do for quite some time.
Walking up Yoru was quickly met up with a middle age man that was balding and looked like he should be retired rather than being in charge of a hatchery. “Ah Shinobi-sama it is nice to meet you. As I am sure you know this is quite a problem so if you are able to fix this it would be very much appreciated.” Rolling his eyes Yoru simply said,” Yamamoto. So who was the moron that knocked these fish into the hatchery?” The old man let out a small sigh and said, “It was a new member of the new guys and it really was an accident. He was scaring away some birds and by chance they knocked into the crates that held the fish and one thing led to another and now we have all the fish inside the hatchery. So what are you planning to do about them?” Cracking his neck Yoru replied. “I plan to get them out and go on my way. Now if you would be so kind would you get me a bucket of chopped up raw fish and a cup of tea.” The requests were very simple yet so extremely odd, yet Yoru knew that it was going to be a little fun to surprise them.
Taking his seat on one of the benches Yoru sat and waited for the old man to return with his requests. Surprising enough his tea was the first thing to come and Yoru wasted no time in drinking his tea very happily. It was as he was drinking his tea the old man returned with his bucket of chopped up fish. Setting it in front of him Yoru was assaulted with the disgusting smell of chopped up fish. Yoru was not a big fan of the fishy smell but he knew that he was going to need it if he was going to do what he needed. Setting the tea on the bench Yoru quickly picked up the bucket and started walking towards the hatchery waters. The hatchery was designed to keep certain fish in a habitat as close to their normal habitat as possible. In fact the lake itself was originally a normal lake that shinobi went through to remove the water predators. Walking to the edge of the water Yoru grabbed a stick from a nearby tree and stepped onto the shoreline of the hatchery. Taking the bucket Yoru started to dump its contents into the edge of the water. Smiling at the edge of the water Yoru stuck the stick into the water. |

| Standing on the edge of the water began violently moving the stick around in the water. As with most of his studies Yoru had learned about the Piranha and knew exactly how to hunt them. Turning to the old man Yoru said. “Get those crates ready it is going to be extremely interesting.” Wasting no time the old man ran off to gather the crates for the fish. Still thrashing in the water with the stick Yoru waited patiently for what was about to happen. Yet even as he waited he was also just a little nervous for what was about to happen. Piranha are known for their razor sharp teeth and the last thing Yoru needed was to lose something to one of the little buggers. Now with the crates set out in a perfect set up Yoru felt completely ready for the fish to come at him. It was at that moment he saw one jump out at him its razor sharp teeth baring down at him. Swinging the stick Yoru smacked it against the side of the fish, in a perfect arc it landed in one of the crates filled with water. It was at that moment it was free game as the fish came at him almost as if they were getting revenge for their friend.
Fish kept jumping out at Yoru trying to tear him to bits yet Yoru was skilled at weapons combat. Smacking fish after fish he knocked them into the crates of water. The weapon of choice was perfect for what he was doing since it was able to knock them into the crates yet not do enough damage to kill any of them. Yet even as he was knocking them away they started to come at him in larger amounts. Reaching for his belt he pulled out one of his handy fans, flipping it open Yoru began knocking the fish aside either back into the water or into one of the crates as well as he could. Counting in his head Yoru kept track of all the fish he was knocking away. “Ten, Eleven, Twelve.” He knew there were at least twenty-six of the little buggers in the water and he was making perfect timing. “Nineteen, Twenty, Twenty-one.” The numbers were getting smaller and the jumps were getting less slipping his fan back into his belt Yoru gripped the stick with both hands. Now knocking the fish away Yoru was finally down to twenty-five.
Standing there for a moment Yoru waited for the last fish but he had no idea where it was. Completely expecting for another fish he didn’t see a single fish come jumping out. It was at that moment he heard a cough. “Excuse me. Yamamoto-sama. It would appear that by some chance you have one of the fish biting you.” Looking down at his vest Yoru now saw one of the Piranha wiggling on his vest, cocking a single eyebrow up Yoru reached over to his fan and pried the mouth off his vest. Tossing it into the crate Yoru took a bow. The old man returned the bow, “That was amazing thank you so much.” Nodding Yoru smiled and said. “Well it had to be done. Next time do be careful, now if you do not mine I will be on my way.” Tossing the stick away Yoru made his way back to the roads towards Konoha. For his first day back into the shinobi world it went amazingly well. Reaching into his pouch he pulled out his missions scroll. “Another day another Ryo.” Stamping the scroll with his complete stamp Yoru smiled as he headed home. [EXIT] |
