Conditioning [SC Training | Flashback] Vide

Walking through the forests of the fire country, the young, blue haired boy called Yoroi dragged a large deer behind him. Taking it back to his campsite in the mountain’s graveyard, he was already looking forward to preparing it for dinner. It was his way to gut the animal and feed the organs to his snake Shakreido before skinning it out of it’s pelt and turning it into a rug, a new layer for his tent or fashioning weapons from it’s leather. When he was done stripping the meat off of the bones, he would hang the meat up on sticks and put them over an open fire so it would roast nicely. Finally, he would look for the strongest bones it had in it’s body while tossing all others on a large pile. The strongest bones were things he would shape into make-shift weaponry such as daggers and spears with handles made out of leather. The bones that were more brittle were used to feed his pass-time hobby, carving totems out of them and setting them out around the perimeter of his territory so no one would be stupid enough to encroach on his land. It was his way of doing things as a child hermit, not letting anything he had to work hard for go to waste. Thanks to fighting that occurred from time to time in the country near the border, Yoroi stole clothing and weaponry from corpses whenever he got the chance to do so. Taking out a kunai from his tent, he held it into the fire and waited until the steel was searing hot. When Hiruzen fought to kill the deer, he had sustained several wounds on his chest where the antlers had carved into him.

There was a time where this hurt him to the point of stopping him in his tracks and letting his prey escape, though he had been hardened by his constant attempts to no longer let this be an issue. It obviously still hurt a lot when the antler pierced or scratched into his flesh and caused him to bleed, though it no longer set him back enough to completely give up on the hunt, just set him back for a moment until the adrenaline kicked in. Waiting for about fifteen minutes, the blade had heated up enough for him to pick it up after wrapping his hand on the fresh leather that was still wet and pushing it against the entry wound of the antler and beginning to sear it shut. Feeling the blade touch his flesh hurt a lot as it caused the young Kaguya to let out a cry of pain that resounded through the forest like the howling of a wolf. Holding it on until he felt like most of the wound had been seared shut, he placed the kunai back into the flames while washing his wound with the water from a nearby spring. While the kunai was being heated again, Yoroi started grinding a bunch of herb leaves with a mortar and pestle he had made on his own, preparing an antibacterial salve. While he was far from knowledgeable when it came to things such as the human body and the ways to heal it, he knew a thing or two about the plants that grew in the dense woodlands that could be used to clean wounds and stop his wounds from getting infected. Applying the paste to the partially sealed wounds, he rubbed it in before pushing the heated blade of his kunai against it for a second time to completely seal the wound and stop the blood from streaming out of him.

Several hours passed after Yoroi sealed his wound and waited for the meat he hung up to roast nicely. He did not particularly like undercooked meat, so he often left the bigger chunks hang a bit higher so they would not catch fire but still received a good amount of heat that would seep into the deeper parts of the meat too. While he waited, Hiruzen had been looking for an old tree with a thick and wide base to train on. In order to decrease his sensitivity to pain, the kid often looked for a place like this while punching and kicking against it with his bare knuckles and shins. Hitting it once every second with his right and his left fist as they followed one another up. The first couple of punches always hit when his skin met the bark of the tree, though after a moment, the nerves in his fists started getting numb. The more often he went through this process, the less pain he felt, meaning his conditioning was slowly making an impact. Once he was done with his fists, he repeated the process with his shins, constantly kicking against the side of the tree until his stomach started growling loud enough to kick him out of his fighting trance. Allowing his feet to rest up, he smeared the paste over his open knuckles and his shins after which he used it as a dip for his roasted deer meat.
