Sintayo had just gotten off the boat at Ouzu island. His hood was up but the wind kept trying to blow it off his head. His long white robe was flapping in the wind showing his armor and his belt of Kunai. His sword and axe were the only things keeping his cloak on his body. He lowered his hood and brushed his hair back and down the back of his armor. He put his hood back on and began to walk off the dock. He was here seeking a fight, and was hoping to get a good one. He tightened his boot strings and tightened his gloves. He smirked, as he always does, as he noticed the amount of people. He walked through the village dotting his eyes around the village as he always did, in hopes of finding an opponent, or a familiar face, if he knew any. He passed through the village and saw a forest dotted with numerous trees standing before him. He thought to himself that usually bandits, or maybe even rogue ninjas, would be in there waiting for travelers to come by, so they could attack and plunder. He looked somewhat like a traveler, so he figured it was worth a shot as he entered the forest.

Saya drops down from the tree tops with grace, but lands rather heavily for what looked like a small figure. As she rises well in front of him, she stands only five feet tall. In the mottled sunlight below the canopy of trees, it's hard to make out any immediate details. Though the ninja is short, the yari she was holding was a good seven feet long. She was draped in a large plated cloak that concealed most of the rest of her. Her face was covered in a demonic looking mask with fangs and large eyes, and completely concealed the Kiri ninja's face behind it. Atop her head was a dome shaped helmet, forged of steel and embossed with the four wave symbol of Kirigakure.

Looking at her, it was actually rather difficult to assume it was even a girl behind all of the armor. Her gender was really only displayed when she finally spoke, shouting out a few muffled words behind her mask. "Stop where you are. Explain your presense in these woods." She says quite plainly, speaking loud and clear to alleviate any confusion.

She awaits a response in a mostly relaxed pose, standing stright up with her spear at her side. The impressive weapon remained on the neutral, still not presented as a threat to her opponent. The two ninja had a good 30 feet between them, and were standing on even ground. The trees surrounding them sway with the winds over their tops, however little of the breeze reaches down to the dim and quiet underbrush beneath them. Amongst the branches of the trees, a hidden ally sits waiting for an order. The blue-green feathers of her trusty sidekick, Kusamaru, help it blend in with the greens of the trees above, for now just sitting and watching.

Sin looked at the female that stood before him. He eyed her up and down judging her strength by her looks. He didn't speak, only simply shrugged. He pointed to the town behind him and then to the other side of the forest. He bowed to her and lowered his hood. His blue-gray eyes were vibrant and easily spotted through the lighting of the underbrush. His long flowing silver hair went past his shoulders and you could see it near his waist if you looked inside of his cloak. He stood the same height as the female in front of him, and figured even with her armor, she probably didn't weigh much more than he did. He kept his hands by his side and stayed alert. He wasn't sure what she was capable of, and wasn't sure if he wanted to find out. He began to look around the trees, both at the base and on the branches, seeing if there were more. He couldn't spot anything but it didn't ease him. He couldn't understand why a girl, even if she was a powerful Ninja, would be alone in a forest when so many rogue jounin could be running around.

Saya sighs quietly as the other ninja goes through the motions of trying to silently explain himself. For the most part, she just ignores whatever he wanted to say. She shakes her head just a little, having little patience for this sort of shenanigans. What sort of a ninja couldn't even speak up and explain themselves proudly. Surely if the ninja before her was on a mission, he should be ready, and even eager to begin the fighting!

"I said explain yourself, not motion around like some confused monkey." She says, relaying the rare insult to her opponent. Perhaps a little mockery and posturing could get this fight rolling. "I will give you this last chance. Explain yourself. These lands are not open to foreigners. You are lucky to have survived this long, so do not test my patience any further."

Beneath her cloak, her body can be seen. After the first few moments pass, the bits of light that reach under her cloak shine off the metal of other weapons. Half of her body is exposed, the arm holding her spear keeping it from concealing her fully. She bears kunai and throwing axes, on her thighs, and some length of chain, and a dagger, hanging from her hip.

Sin smirks ever so diligently. He just shakes his head condescendingly. He took a few steps back then pondered if he should rush, or if he should burrow. So many options with so little desire to harm this poor girl. He felt bad for her, assuming she lived in these woods. He wanted a fight but not with this female. however it was quite obvious she wanted a fight. He began to feel that if she wanted a fight, he would deliver. to his most optimal ability. He had no plans or intentions to kill her, but he did want her out of his way. He leaped back and performed what he needed to become a scorpion. He quickly burrowed himself underground and readied himself to fight with the utmost potential. He remained in position and completely still to feel for pressure on the ground above him. He wanted her to either walk away, or fall prey to his trap. He could use the decapitation technique, but felt that might not hold her.

Ugh.. cowards, just everywhere. Saya sighs to herself as the man turns into a bug, and goes into hiding. What was the world coming too, that people with weapons couldn't just present themselves, and fight. All this cat and mouse was just irritating. With a slight sigh, reaches behind her and into her ninja pouch. She fishes out a pair of kunai inside of it, both already prepared with explosive tags.

Saya gives a short and sharp whistle, calling her summons down a little lower in the trees before she sets into motion. With a few easy hops the dinosaur comes down perhaps 100 feet, then perches itself on the lowest, largest branches. It's long tail waves up and down, it's large claws digging into the branch to ensure good balance and grip. Quietly it continues to wait, keeping an eye on Saya's location as it does.

The girl reaches back, the flings both kunai at the spot the small scorpion had burrowed down into. It was such a small bug, really how far could it have gotten? The moment they land, the paper bombs explode and tear into the area they'd landed. So close to the ground they should be able to leave at least a small crater, but Saya wasn't sticking around to find out. As the explosion tears through the area, she quickly releases her training weights, quickly freeing herself from an impressive load.

A moment later she leaps into the trees, landing atop the lower branches beneath her, and simply waiting. The weights she left on the ground below her weighed in at 250 lbs, well over what a girl her size should have weighed. It was more than half her body weight, and should apply enough pressure to suitably fool the arachnid somewhere beneath her. With her trap baited, she simply waits.

Sin sprung into action and shot three jagged rocks out of the ground in random spots. Realizing there was a crater around him, he jumped out and created a 3 foot by 2 foot wall of stone in front of him. He waited behind it becoming human again and drew three Kunai in the same hand, while remaining crouched behind the wall. He waited to listen for any sort of movement to try to pinpoint the direction of his enemy. He wasn't expecting the rocks to hit anything he just needed a distraction to clear his point. He was injured from the tags, but not by much because of his strong exoskeleton. He thought about using many of his jutsu but decided it'd be best to wait so he didn't exhaust himself too early. He heard something move earlier after the tags exploded but didn't get the chance to pinpoint the exact position. He then stood and spun throwing his kunai, one towards where he saw her, one to the right of her and the third to the left of her, He figured to avoid it, she could only go up or down.

Behind his little wall, Saya has a pretty unobstructed view. A wall only 3 feet tall was hardly anything to hide behind, and from her perch in the trees she could peer above it with little effort. Her head tips to the side at the odd display, the three kunai flying for her general direction. Before it reaches her, she deflects the little knife with a stroke of her large and impressive spear. "You must be new at this.." she calls out, in a decidedly mocking tone. "You have no hope.. you should give up now. Alright, I will be nice. I will have mercy on you. Kusamaru, I think, can handle you."

Above her on a seperate branch, but now clearly visible was her summoned friend. The feathered dinosaur stares down at the Suna genin with beedy red eyes, and licks its lips hungrily. After a moment it hops down from the branch and lands rather heavily on it's feet. It begins stalking forward slowly, but after a moment just springs into action. With a high pitched roar it leaps forward, deciding it best to make a quick meal of the intruding ninja. It's leap clears unimaginable distance when needed, but this hop of 25 feet or so was just child's play.

The hulking beast lands atop the short stone wall the ninja had made and lunges it's large head forward. It's snout was just over a foot long, and it's mouth was filled with a hundred sharp, serrated teeth. It was designed perfectly for biting through flesh and bone, and could easily make a meal of the ninja, if it doesn't move. Up close Sin could smell the subtle scent of death and decay, the aroma of any meat eating predator. Its breath was simply rancid with the scent of the rotting flesh from the last thing it ate.

Saya hops up to a higher branch to observe while her summon does it's thing. She keeps her hopes high for Kusamaru, though he was still young. His youth kept him restricted on how quickly he could move, and how strongly he could bite. When Kusamaru was full grown, he'd be twice the size, and able to swallow a pesky genin, whole. As she waits in the trees, Saya keeps an eye out on her surroundings. This could always be some bunshin clone trap.

Sintayo rolled out from under the beast, and quickly evaluated his options, and prepared for the worst. He disappeared from the battle field and into the forest. He focused on making a clone of himself. Sin then focuses on becoming a Mountain Lion and crouched into a stalking position with his clone close behind him. Sin was a majestic looking mountain lion. He was muscular like most mountain lions and had his white underbelly. He had darker patches of fur shaped like a rock and a lightning bolt to represent his elements. The only way to tell his elements without seeing him use them in battle, was to see his weapons, or his animal transformations. They got close to the clearing and saw the bird on the rock. His clone ran out and ran forward with both weapons out ready to slice and hack at it. Sin waited in the underbrush quietly, and very low to the ground, waiting for the bird's back to turn towards him so he could pounce and attack the bird. He prepared as he saw his clone doing it's best to lure the bird into his trap.

Kusamaru snaps it's jaws angrily as the Suna genin flees the scene, and hides himself away in the forest. The beast hops down from the earthen wall, sniffing the air as he did. It's predatory grin remains on it's demonic face as it tracks the hiding shinobi by scent alone, it's long snout filled with as many scent receptors as the average ninja hound's nose. When the bunshin clone springs out of hiding, the dinosaur only laughs.

"Petty clonesss will not work on me, child." Says the dinosaur in a raspy, hissing voice. Though covered with feathers it had the fangs and claws of a terrible reptile, and a voice to match. With even a single sniff the dinosaur could tell the clone had no scent. He already knew where the real ninja was hiding. Kusamaru blatantly ignores the bunshin clone, while stalking closer and closer to the edge of the forest. When the clone does finally reach Kusamaru, it would just vanish in a small puff of smoke it if came into contact with anything.

Saya still remains perched up in the trees, watching the fight for now. She could jump in and end it quicker if she so chose, but it was nice to Kusamaru getting to play. The weaker genin didn't seem to her like much of a challenge, but she keeps her guard up all the same. Surely he had some back up somewhere she'd get to fight. One genin wandering through enemy territory hardly seemed like something a kage would order. Even Saya wasn't left alone. She had her trusty dinosaur sidekick with her.

Kusamaru pauses a good distance away, eyeing the underbrush warily. He didn't exactly need to pounce on the mountain lion, but likely could if needed. Predator Vs Predator, it was usualy the larger one that won, and Kusamaru is much larger. No, he decides not to pounce, and after a moment lurches forward. The dinosaur opens it's gaping jaws wide and vomits forth a great stream of acidic goo. It sizzles and pops as it splashes over a large area of the shrubs the lion was hiding in, and threatens to cover the lion itself if it doesn't take action.

The splash of acid eats away the leaves and branches, instantly killing the plants that it covered, and reducing them to a puddle of sizzling sludge. Even the earth itself is scared by the strong pool of acid, and etched away to a depth of about an inch. With the slight distance between himself and the lion, Kusamaru was still ready to pounce when the thing showed itself. He still sniffs, and tracks with more than his eyes. Hopefully Sin would start to feel that fear now.. the fear of being hunted.

Sin felt the burn of the acid. He knew he had to move quick or he wasn't going to survive through it. He pushed off his hind legs with all his might and lunged behind the reptile. He was running out of options and knew he wasn't going to be able to take the both of them out. This reptile must have weakness. But he needed to find it and quick. He turned into a bear and roared at the beast. He moved to his hind legs hoping his size would unnerve the beast even a little. He readied himself to grab the beast whenever some part of it's body came close to him. He wanted this thing out of the way so he could focus on the female. He was beginning to think this beast was the only reason she was out here alone. It's not that she was strong, it's because of this reptile. He grunted at the thing and began to let the adrenaline flow. He only had a couple options left. One that he didn't want to use, until he got to the girl.

Kusamaru spins around as the fast moving lion leaps to it's backside, managing to at least preset it's side to the beast. When it turns into a bear, it does have a bit of effect, enough to drive the monster away. In a quick motion is crouches low to the ground, and tenses it's powerful muscles. The next moment it jumps backwards, and soars through the air for a considerably distance. The dinosaur lands a good 40 feet away from the bear, and as it lands it takes a deep breath.

Saya knew what was coming, and grinned behind her mask. The monster holds the breath for just a moment and forces some of it's own chakra into the air. The next moment it opens its mouth and leans forward, firing out a compressed projectile of wind and chakra. The bullet spirals through the air quickly, targeting the large bear and hoping to blast it to bit. When it impacts it explodes and releases its stored energy, tearing a small area around it to pieces with cutting wind and energy.

Saya alters her position as the air bullet explodes, jumping out of the trees and into the forest as the burst of air kicks up dirt and leaves and dust. Behind the concealing shroud she finds a good hiding place to continue watching from. Before she can hide herself, however, she rids herself of the impressive and large spear she's been holding. She flings the spear easily, letting the sharp blade implant itself deep in the heart of some old tree. There, tucked away an out of the fight, it would wait for her to finish this battle.

Once positioned where she needs to be, Saya just resumes watching the fight, letting Kusamaru have her fun. With their ranks equal it wasn't exactly fair to make it a two on one, so she'd just watch for a while.

Sin gets hit hard. He barrels into the ground and rolls a good amount of feet from where he was. He becomes a ninja again and burns all his remained Chakra. He only had so much time to end this so he figured he might as well make it quick. First he made his physical speed increase so he could use his other jutsus faster. the he increased his attack speed. next he increased the strength in his arms, and finally increased the endurance of his body. He drew his axe and sword and ran at the beast, moving as quick as lightning. He knew at this point his speed and attacks could keep up with the beast, if not beat it. He could take a strong beating and could hit really hard and was hoping if he beat the beast, the woman would let him pass. He felt that it might not have worked that way, though. He ran at the beast, weapons drawn, and ready to cut the thing down. He began moving in a zig zag pattern hoping to distract the beast and make it unaware of where he was going to strike. He jumped over the beast and front flipped. As he did so he began slashing at the creature's back and landed behind it. He spun around quickly and prepared to slash the beast again when it turned around.

Kusamaru snarls at the approaching ninja, and does his best to keep up. The dinosaur's blood is spilled as the opposing ninja zooms past with weapons drawn, slashing him from above and opening two rather nasty wounds. Kusamaru spins quickly on Sin as he lands, but has no time to attack. The new speed and power of the ninja in Human form seemed far beyond that of what normal humans were typically capable of.

From her hiding spot in a shrub just off of the path Saya watches with dismay. The two attacks that had hit Kusamaru shouldn't have been enough to put him out of commision, but they seemed to do just that. Reeling from the blow, the dinosaur takes a few steps backwards, then vanishes in a large poof of smoke. Some of it's blood still remained on the ground, but when the smoke fades the dinosaur is no more.

Saya gasps just slightly, though any sound from the surprise is easily muffled inside of her mask. She narrows her eyes and focuses on Sin. How he got dispatched with just one well place blow was beyond her reasoning, unless Sin was much stronger than he seemed. She'd taken to hiding only to remove herself from the combat. She had no desire to launch some fatal sneak attack from her hiding place, so once Kusamaru has been defeated, she makes herself visible once more.

Saya need only stand to be seen from behind the thick bush she'd hidden in. She hops lightly and lands in the middle of the path once again. The steel plated cloak she wears covers her fully, as she seems to be without her spear. From behind the demonic mask she shouts, speaking loud enough to be heard. "I have to give you credit. I did not think you would be able to defeat Kusamaru on your own. Unfortunately, now you must deal with me. My name is Saru Saya." She says, and gives a half bow under her cloak. The gesture is mostly lost beneath the bulky garment. Beneath it, her left hand rises up to her right shoulder.

"Before I kill you, tell me your name."

Sin grunts. "Sintayo Korigochi! And don't you ever forget it!" He rushes at ninja in a full sprint, moving faster than he was at the dinosaur, only because of the full sprint. His blade and axe flashing all around him in odd designs as his ran towards the ninja. He gets closer and begins slashing violently at the ninja before him. "I'm out of jutsus, if I'm gonna win this, I have to end it quickly." He thought to himself. He was hoping that some, if not all of these attacks would land and have this ninja quickly out of his way. He never intended for anything to kill, just injure enough to have her back down. "I don't want to kill you! But I will if I have to!" He shouted at her as he now stood before her swinging at her every chance he got, whether he knew it would make contact or not. To think, he came looking for a fight, and that's exactly what he got.

PostSubject: Re: To set the balance of things (Wind Vs. Sintayo Spar) To set the balance of things (Wind Vs. Sintayo Spar) EmptyMon 17 May 2010, 5:14 am

Saya remains mostly motionless as Sin begins his charge. She quietly watches him for a moment, noting the wild, and desperate seeming stance. Still, in spite of the lack of mastery, he was certainly fast. To have dispatched Kusamaru so quickly, he must also be very strong. No doubt a single strike of one of his weapons would deal grevious wounds, if not properly defended against. The weapons he was weilding left much to be desired, as she gave them a cursory glance, and settled on the best action to end this fight quickly.

Her left hand tugs at the strong snap holding the strap of her heavy cloak in place, and lets it slide just slightly down on her shoulders. She grips the bulky cloak from beneath and pulls, dragging the weighty armor off and casting it aside. All at once she is unarmored, and her whole form can be seen. With her cloak went her mask and helmet, letting the wind toss her hair for the first time.

With out her cloak she was surprisingly unarmored, and ready to move. She wears only purple robes constructed from quilted cloth. Metal guards cover her shins and feet, as well as her wrists, but she is otherwise unarmored. The sheer number of weapons carried by the girl are striking, and to numerous to count in one look. She's got three swords, a weighted chain, and throwing axes. The most obvious weapon is her katana, which is still in its plain polished black scabbard. Her right hand already rests on the silk wrapped handle, gripping it gently.

She crouches low and leans forward as Sin approaches, standing in the typical fast draw stance, figuring this can end in one blow, however things are rarely that simple. The more direct the attack, the more easily blocked by a skilled opponent. Instead, she relies on her speed, and her ability to out maneuver. When sin finally reaches Saya and makes his attack, he may be surprised to find out that the lithe and limber girl, is faster than he is.

If he moves like lightning, than Saya moves like its shadow. She feints to the side, avoiding the blade by inches and pushing herself over to Sin's flank just slightly. Before he can even move to attack again, Saya strikes. In the blink of an eye her weapon leaves it's scabbard and strikes upwards into his chest and side with a fast single slash of her blade.

Removed from it's scabbard, her weapon is a masterpiece. It is far beyond what is purchased as common wares by practiced soldiers, and is a true work of time tested art. Though simple and lacking embellishment, the blade is so hard, and so sharp, it can much more easily cleave through even hardened materials. The first attack is followed soon by a second, another slash of her blade bringing it back down across his shoulder.

Sin tumbles into the ground bleeding but refuses to give up. He felt this was his last chance and if he kept pursuing this too much longer He would surely die. He got up quickly and rushed her again. This time more formed and more concentrated. He moved in a zig zag like pattern and aimed carefully. He moved in closely too her and slashed in a vertical with his axe and moved his sword in a horizontal position. He figured if he missed with one he should at least hit with the other. After one attack landed he spun around with grace and slashed both blades in the same style. At this point he was fighting with poise and grace, not brute strength. He was seeing life and memories flash before his eyes. He knew he was dying but only wanted to retreat if it was necessary.

Saya blinks a bit, oddly confused by her opponent's refusal to give up. Such drive and die hard determination was something she'd rarely seen outside of her own family. She can't help but smirk just a little bit, admiring her enemies stamina. Still, admiration aside, this match was already won. Sin had been abused by a couple jutsu, and Saya's cut had opened up a good portion of his side. His bleeding should cripple him in a few moments.

Blade in hand Saya forces a good deal of chakra down into her feet, and all but vanishes. In her burst of speed she becomes almost invisible, and kicks up a small cloud of dust and smoke as she does. The Shunshin no Jutsu technique is one most know, and allows for the utmost in rapid transit. After application of the jutsu Saya is standing a further 15 feet away than she had been before.

She remains on the defensive, only slashing her sword with an odd flicking motion to fling the still wet blood off of the blade. In short order her katana is carefully re-sheathed in it's scabbard, and set aside. Her katana was a weapon for killing, and the work had already been done. With it back in it's holster Saya reaches quickly behind her for her short swords. She draws both with one quick motion, all the while leaping further away from Sin.

Having seized the distance edge, she'd refuse to give it back. Each step he takes towards her, is a small leap Saya takes backwards, away. She could wait out his advance, letting blood loss be her ally, while she just remained defensive. The harder he worked, the faster he would eventually pass out. The swords she held didn't really look to deadly, but they were useful beyond mere description. Each had a thick and sturdy blade, and a pair of hook shaped cross guards. She holds one in each hand, now matching the number of weapons her opponent held.

"Ha ha!" She shouts cheerfully as she keeps her distance. She wasn't mocking him. No, she was cheering for him. A well fought battle is something to be proud of, and Sin certainly have bravery. "Sintayo Korigochi, you have courage, and heart, and you fight with the strength of ten soldiers. I commend you for your valor, but your swordplay is simply not on the same level as my own."

Sin stumbles and lands face down in the dirt before her feet. He pushes up in his sword and axe and spits to the side. He weakly stands with a determined look in his eye. "I refuse to give up until I am incapable of carrying on." He lifts his sword and axe and falls again. He rises himself up once more and looks to her. Determination and fire burn in his eyes. He wasn't prepared to lose, he didn't want to die here... not now, not yet. He shook his head and rose to his feet and moved his blades out from under him standing weakly and off balance. He had nothing left but his wit, his weapons, and his dying body. He went to swing and then realized she didn't plan to kill him. He lowered his weapon and dropped to one knee. He looked at her, "Kill me if you want." and he lowered his head waiting for the worst.
