The Attack on Yuurei

Yuurei had been running from his predator for quite some time, but he had a reason for this. He knew a bit about these parts, and he knew that fighting this mercenary would give him a slight advantage of the matter. He could have easily fought the stranger in the forest, but he figured that there were probably other people with him. It was his initial though and the reason that the young boy had allowed the chase to happen for so long. He looked at the gates that were stopping him from walking straight through the forest and he knew about the dangers that waited for him there.

Still, he was more afraid of losing his life to the person chasing him than the forest itself. The Senju started sprinting towards the fence closing the gap between him and the fence. He was quick to jump over it as he looked back to see that the armed man had arrived. ”I wonder why Daimon had sent this man after me. Did I do something to anger him?” he thought to himself as he rushed through the forest. He noticed a plant in his sight and figured it was nothing to worry about.

The Senju noticed that the plant moved, but he blinked a few times because he wasn’t sure if his eyes were playing tricks on him. It didn’t take long, but when he looked at the plant again, the plant moved again. This time it opened it up and headed towards the Genin without hesitation. He was surprised to see this happening as he didn’t think the rumors were true. Yuurei had come to a quick stop from running straight, only to sidestep to his right to dodge the lung attack from the plant.

He was quick to take out his kunai and placed a tag on to before tossing it to the plant. The weapon easily connected and he just performed one seal as he activated the tag. He looked behind him to see that the mercenary had been quick to follow after him. Yuurei continued his run as the explosion had activated and blew up the plant that had tried to attack him just a few seconds ago. He had made his way to an open area and turned as he figured he should be able to fight without any distractions now.

Yuurei’s first thoughts were to prepare himself from the mercenary’s attacks right now. He started to perform his hand seals right now and when he finished his left arm had started to change its form into a bunch of trees. The tree’s branches started to stretch out now, but they had soon stopped as they looked like they were waiting for their master to do something. He just looked around wondering where the mercenary would attack from. It didn’t take long, but he noticed two windmill shuriken coming straight towards him. ”He attacked from the front?” he thought to himself as he allowed the branches to block the attack.

A few branches had been cut straight through from the windmill shuriken, but they had soon come to a stop. He sighed as he was relieved with that, but he noticed too late on where the mercenary was coming from. He looked to his right to see the man and when he was about to react he was kicked on his right shoulder. This caused the young boy to be sent flying towards his left from the impact as he hit the ground and rolled on the dirt before he was able to regain his composure. He quickly got up and looked at the mercenary as the man had a blank expression on his face.

Yuurei was wondering what was going through the man’s mind right now, but who had sent him to attack him? The Senju had looked at his arm and noticed that there were four holes on his arm right now. He could feel the pain that was being through his arm as he wasn’t able to grab his arm. ”Damn I was careless. Who sent you?!” he asked angrily as his branches had started to move now and were headed towards the mercenary.

The mercenary looked over to the incoming branches as stood there waiting for the branches to get closer. The stranger started to run towards Yuurei now as he jumped to avoid being hit by the branches that were slamming against the ground behind him and moving after him. Yuurei knew he would try to get close to him, which was something he expected him to do. He decided to take a kunai out of his pouch again and this time he was getting ready to defend and attack this mercenary. The attacker had taken out a katana from his back as he was preparing to strike down his prey.

Yuurei's branches were still aiming towards the mercenary right now. He was quick on his feet, but he noticed that he didn't use any jutsus, which made this an even fight. It was intense as Yuurei could only feel the sweat running down his face while the man was closing the gap between them. He just stood his ground as the branches that had missed their targets were gaining on him. The stranger had jumped over one of the Senju's branches as he landed on it. The ninja had seen this and started to shake the branch as it had quickly turned to attack him again.

Still, it was too late to get to him as the two were close to each other now. He just moved forward as the two had collided with each other's weapon right now. The Genin could only stare down the stranger as he was trying to figure out who he was. He was trying to recall a time where he might have bump heads with this person, or even caught a glimpse of him. He continued to stare at him, but he still couldn't bring it out from the depths of his memories. He noticed the man had finally smiled, but he didn't say anything. The only thing Yuurei could see was that a blue aura had begun to surround the man's katana.

Yuurei was surprised to see this happening at the moment; the blade was being pushed slowly into the kunai, which Yuurei saw that it was slowly being cut threw right now. His eyes widen as he was scared that his branches would not make it in time. The katana had finally made it to the other side of the kunai, and Yuurei noticed that his kunai had snapped and the blade was making it towards his right shoulder. That was when his branches had collided with the stranger from behind him. It had rapidly hit the man from the back as had stumbled to the right and then dropped as more of the branches collided with him.

The Senju made more of his branches collided with the mercenary. He was fearing for his life as he thought if he didn't take him down, then his life could still be in danger. "WHY ARE YOU AFTER ME!" Yuurei shouted as he noticed that he was bleeding on the right side of his face. The kunai that had snapped had flown by him at nipped him on his check. He was panting right now as the branches continued to deal blunt damage to the Mercenary. He had stopped a few seconds after as he just looked at the mercenary that wasn't moving anymore.

He dropped to his knees as he was scared, but relieved at the same time. "He won't come after me anymore right?" he asked out loud, but mainly to himself. He just looked at the mercenary as he was wondering, if he had killed him. He was afraid to check, but he felt obligated to do so. His arm was still changed into his technique as he already knew his guard was lowered enough. The body of the mercenary twitched right there, and Yuurei was stun from what he saw. He was sure that this should have stopped the man from moving an inch.

The three shadows appeared away from the two, but not far enough that they would be blind from what was happening. They were all on a branch, one standing tall on it, the second one sitting down and playing with his legs, and the third one was upside down hanging from legs. They were surprised that the little kid had brought their warrior to the ground, but they knew it wasn't over. "Well the kid is strong. Still, it seems like he doesn't want to kill," one of the shadows said.

"I don't care, the kid brought him down to the ground. He brought my creation to the ground! I don't like him one bit; he needs to be killed!" the other one shouted angrily. The third shadow stood quiet as he was wondering what the young boy was planning on doing right now. They had never seen him in action, but now they were ready to see more. "So what if he brought him down. We are trying to see how much potential he has right. Shut up and watch," he spoke calmly as they were quiet and looked at young lad.

Yuurei had gotten up from the ground as he had gotten into position right now. The mercenary had slowly gotten up from the ground as if it were a zombie. He wondered what it was planning on doing right now. Thatw as when he saw the man bring out a bunch of weapons from his back. He was surprised to see that he had so many weapons concealed with him right now. The weapons were quickly tossed at him. He saw Wind Shurikens coming his way, but that wasn't it. There were also thick senbons that were going straight at him right now. This was insane, and he couldn't believe that there was someone who could use weapons like this.

Yuurei was surprised from all of the weapons that were heading his way. There were too many to block, so he figured his only option was too disappeared. The Senju had quickly used his branches to perform a wall in front of him, but he could hear the impact of the weapons coming in contact with his technique. He jumped back from where he was, and his arm had also returned to normal. He was performing hands seals right there, and noticed that his branches were breaking, but he was going to be safe from this assault.

The Genin started sinking into the ground as he saw the weapons pierced through his defense. He was able to go underground, having the weapons fly through the air and hitting nearby trees. The mercenary stood his ground, he wasn't surprised by what the boy did. Instead, he looked around wondering what was going to happen right now. The three shadows were quiet as well because they wouldn't think Yuurei would be hiding underground now. They were only wondering, if he would choose to run away, or continue fighting.

Still, running away wouldn't be possible for young boy. The three shadows wouldn't allow it until they saw something impressive from the boy. This was all a test to see just how strong he was. They had sensed the amount of chakra that had come from the boy, but that was it. They didn't know what they were really expecting from him. The young ninja had traveled through the ground as he had moved behind the man that was chasing him. He didn't take his time ascending from the ground, and when he saw the man was looking for him, he knew it was time to act.

Yuurei's leg was charged up with chakra from his time underground, and he was turning his waist as his leg was being launched straight towards the man's ribs from behind. It connected without a problem, and he could hear the bones cracking from the impact of the surprised attack. The mercenary was sent flying from the force to his left as he hit the ground again and again. He sighed from what he had done because he wasn't expecting the mercenary to get up from that attack. He looked around observing his surroundings as he was trying to see if there was anybody who was following them as well.

He could feel anybody's presence, and he didn't have the ability to check for chakra signatures. Yuurei could have a feeling that things weren't over, but he wasn't sure. He was moving to his left now as he was planning on making his way to the village. He had only taken several steps, but he could only quickly stop as he saw that the mercenary was moving again. His eyes widen when he saw this happening because he was surprised that he wasn't staying down. "What is wrong with this guy? He should be down after all the things I dished out at him," he thought to himself looking at the man.

The mercenary could only be seen getting up slowly and cracking his neck from everything that had happen. Yuurei knew that his ribs were broken, but how was he able to get up without any signs of pain resonating throughout his body. He was still surprised by this, and what surprised him even more was that the mercenary had started sprinting straight towards him. He was flat footed from this, and the Genin could see that he had his katana out. Yuurei had moved his hand in the way of the attack, and directed, so it would hit his left shoulder.

The blade had pierced right through Yuurei's hand, and had pierced him on his left shoulder. The two men looked at each other straight into the eyes, and the young boy could feel that this man had no soul. He grunted through the pain he was feeling throughout his right hand and his left shoulder as he knew he had needed to do something. The young Genin had taken out another one his kunais, and decided that he was going to have to end this now. He had grabbed onto his weapon and thrust the Kunai into the mercenary's neck, hoping to end this bloody battle.

The mercenary could feel that he had been stabbed as well. This had allowed the stranger to let go of his katana and step back from the attack. Yuurei could see that he was lifting his right hand, and that he was shaking from what had happened. He touched his neck and then looked at his hand to blood on it. Yuurei was shaken up as well as he closed his eyes and clenched his jaw as grabbed a hold to the katana that was piercing him. He had quickly pulled the blade out from his shoulder, and arm as he released a loud shout from the pain he felt. He looked over to the mercenary as he figured that this was over.

Yuurei stared at the stranger waiting for him to drop on the ground, but he was expecting too much. The mercenary had grabbed a hold of the kunai that was stuck on his neck, and without a second of hesitation the man had pulled the kunai out from his neck. The Genin was surprised to see that he had done this, but that meant he would die faster. He could see the blood shooting out from the wound, but it soon had come to a stop. He looked at his opponent, but noticed that he was still up.

This surprised Yuurei, but he had a katana in his hand now. This was a turn of events, but why he wasn't dead? "Well do you think he will figure it out? He can't kill this man like that," the shadow who had made this creature said. The young ninja was scared right now because he didn't know what to do against someone who couldn't be killed. He had done many things, but this guy wasn't able to be taken down. He had to think, and see what he could do to this guy.

The Senju had looked at the blade, and smiled as he figured he could use this to take his life. Still, he thought his life had already been taken. He just gripped the sword he was holding as he was looking at the man. The two stared at each other as he had opened a large wound in his neck already, yet he was still fighting. The two didn't take long to take action as they started running towards each other. Yuurei wasn't surprised when he saw a second katana coming from this man. He had many weapons from what he saw, and figured he would fight.

The two had clash their blades with each other, and started striking at each other. The two dodged the blades, weaving back, sidestepping, and ducking whenever they had the chance. Their swords only collided with each other again, but Yuurei decided to do something else. The Genin spun after the collision and lowered himself as he was performing a spinning low kick right now. The mercenary wasn't expecting this from the young boy, which was perfect. "Konoha Reppu," Yuurei said as his sweep had collided with the man, which caused him to take off from the ground, and flying to the ground.

The Senju didn't seem like he was done though. "I have to do this now, or this fight will never come to an end," he thought to himself as his spinning was done, and he was getting up while the mercenary was falling to the ground. Yuurei held the katana he had in his hand, and swung it towards the mercenary. The stranger looked at the attack coming, but there was nothing he could do about it. He just allowed a faint smile appear from his face, which Yuurei saw. The katana had connected with the open wound from earlier, which went through, and took the mercenary's head off.

Yuurei stood there after what he had done to the man. He was surprised that he could take a life, but he didn't think the man was alive to begin with. Still, then why was he smiling when he was taking his life? His right hand was shaking as it was holding the katana. It didn't take long for him to drop the weapon, but he was still surprised that on what he had done. He had forgotten that there might have been people watching him after what he had done. "Why was he smiling?" he asked himself as he knew that the man wouldn't be able to answer him.

"The kid is strong enough to defend himself. He knew what he needed to do, but it seems like he saw something we didn't," one said to the others. "You are right on that, but that's why we want him. He looks as if he didn't want to kill, and is shaken up on it. I can say this Senju is the one that we have been looking for. Still, for now we will have to allow him to grow stronger. We will come back when the time is right, show our faces, and take him," the shadow said. The third one had performed hands seals and when he was done the body started to reveal tags all over it.

Yuurei noticed this and snapped out of shock that he was suffering. His life was endanger if he didn't runaway from this body right now. He quickly turned without hesitation this time and ran away from the body. The Genin had tears coming out as he was running away and that was when he heard the explosion happening. He kept running, but noticed how big the explosion was. The guy he fought was trying to hide the fact that his body was there, or somebody else was around doing this. That meant he needed to keep running, and make sure they didn't catch up to him.

Yuurei kept running away from the scene as he couldn't help, but let tears escape from his eyes. The young boy's emotion was running wild because he didn't understand what was going on. The shadows never followed Yuurei because they didn't need to. Their objective wasn't to harm him, nor were they planning on taking him now. It would be too early to do that, so they just allowed him to run for his life. The senju wiped his face drying the tears that were there. He just knew that he had to make it back to Konoha before something bad happen to him.

This was the second time where he had to run back to the village because he figured his life was in danger. He didn't like this, and knew what he was planning on doing when he returned to the village. Still, it wasn't time for that; he started to perform hands seals again as he was getting ready to disappear right now. "Dochuu Senkou," he said as he kept running, but he was submerging with the ground. The direction he was running to would take him to Konoha, and he knew this. It was why he ran that way; he knew that if he had run into more danger, he could continue to slowly make his way to the village.

He couldn't help, but think about the mercenary smiling at him at his death. It was not something he was expecting after the two were fighting. It was just surprising, and he could only believe that he was being controlled, or that he was fighting to die. Then, there was the fact that Daimon could have been the one who had sent the man after him. He wasn't sure on that, but if he did, then what were his motives? Yuurei shook his head as he remembered the wounds that he had suffered, which started to sting again. He needed to get it treated, but he didn't think going to his father would be for the best.

Yuurei figured he could just go to Katsu, and get things treated there. He wouldn't answer his friend's question, and he knew he wouldn't linger on it. The young ninja had made it pass the Forest of Death, and was close to the front of the gates. He stopped moving as soon as he was clear from the forest, but made sure he had some distance that nobody could see the wounds on his arm. He had ascended from the ground and just performed a hand seal. "Mokuton: Henge," he said as he transformed, but he transformation was more generic of covering his wounds, and a new set of clothes.

He sighed as he knew he would have to play it off; he had to make sure that he didn't show any sign of pain from the wounds he had. The Senju had walked over to the gates as the guards saw him, and waved at him. Yuurei had waved back as he could feel the wind blowing into his wound, but he didn't waver. "Welcome back," one of the guards said as he had made it to the gates. "It's good to be back. I was gone for a little bit, but I'm happy to be home," he smiled at the guard as he entered the village.

The ninja made his distance from the gates now, and when he saw none of the guards could see him, he started running to the Yamanaka's headquarters. He knew where he could find Katsu, and knew that his friend could treat him. The day had been a tough one, but he knew that at the end of this he had gained more experienced than he had before. There was that, and he knew keeping his guard up was the right thing to do. It had kept him alive today, and he was planning to make sure he continued to do this. Still, he could only wonder who had sent that man after him.
