| Having left Konohgakure no Sato in the light of the new information she had just gained on her past, Ophelia was now nearing the gates of Kumogakure no Sato. But she wasn’t alone, or by foot. She had joined a tourist group travelling to Kumo with carriages. She figured that would be the best way to pass off as a tourist. She didn’t want anyone to know that she was a Ninja, mainly because she didn’t want anyone to believe that she was there to spy for her village. She just needed to find that man and return home as soon as possible. “You want a piece?” asked a fat man sitting next to her in the coach. She looked at him and then at his hand holding a piece of chocolate. She contemplated for a moment whether she should or shouldn’t take a piece, but deciding that she didn’t want to appear rude, she smiled at him and broke off a small piece. “Thanks..” she said, almost a whisper. Her voice was hoarse, she was probably catching a cold…or the anxiety of entering an enemy village was influencing her speech. She felt fretfulness building up inside her. What if anyone would sense her? What if someone opened all the coaches one to one and spotted her? In either case she would be screwed should anyone notice her.
Her mind was occupied with the things the man from the bar had said. Was Kirigakure truly as evil as he had portrayed them? Wanted the Council and the Kage her death? Why else would they send her on such a mission? To capture a Shinobi so much higher in rank than herself? Well, maybe no one else was around that area and they had no choice but to send her before he disappeared again. Ophelia couldn’t tell but deeply hoped it was the latter one, for she didn’t know if she could take another deep hit against her firm beliefs. She felt as though she’d break down any second, mentally at least. All this information was more than the young girl could take at this point. But she never was one to run away from her problems and she knew she’d survive this one as well. Maybe even something good would come of this unexpected journey to the Land of Lightning. Maybe she’d make new friends, or enemies, that didn’t really matter to her. All she wanted was to get to know new people, to see how other cultures thought and worked and of course to try new kinds of flavours.
The coaches, there were about four of them, approached the village gates and came to a full stop. Ophelia put the curtain aside and peeked out the window, her face covered by a tourist hat saying “Team Kumo”. She observed the guards as the tourist guide, a funny little guy with round glasses, gave him the travel papers and list of names of all tourists. Ophelia had used a fake name of course alongside a fake ID she had shown the tourist guide before joining the group. The guide was overly excited to have her with them, mostly because she was flirting shamelessly with him to get him to take her with them. The guard suspiciously eyed the coaches, opening the first ones. Ophelia’s heart dropped to her legs; what if they found out? The guard neared her coach and just before opening their door, a new truck came in and almost bumped into Ophelia’s coach, which made the guard extremely angry. He walked over to the driver of the truck and started screaming at him, while waving to the gates to let the coaches through. The girl sighed, she was in Kumo, and a step closer to finding the truth.
