Mission Title: Capture the Flag

Mission Objective: The lord of a very proud noble household in Ta no Kuni has been subjected to numerous pranks by a gang of six or seven local teenage delinquents which have led to a steady thinning of his patience; only held from harsh retaliation by the compassion of his wife, who persistently reminds her husband that they’re children and mean to harm. Their most recent offense, however, has snapped the nobleman’s tolerance and sent him over the edge into a fit of fury. The teens broke into the mansion in which the family live and managed to steal a large, decorative, very old and highly treasured banner holding the household’s sigil. Such dishonor to his household, the lord will not tolerate. In retaliation, the man has hired a squad of Sound village genin to retrieve the flag and teach the adolescents responsible a lesson that they’ll never forget (if they even live to learn it). Mortified by this, the lady of the house has turned, in secrecy, to the ninja of Kumogakure and put forth her own request; to protect the (now in hiding) group of teens and return the house’s ancient banner to a safe place in the estate’s storage room in the basement without her husband knowing, so she may convince him that it wasn’t stolen to start with and that the teens had nothing to do with the break in.

Mission Objective: To their great excitement, a traveling circus currently passing through the land of lightning has come into possession of a very rare and marvelous creature; a bargain buy from a weary soul desperate to be rid of the beast. The creature is gloriously beautiful and majestic, topped off by the fact that it seems to almost constantly coo, purr and call; its otherworldly song easily capable of bringing tears to listener’s ears, but it only took one night to find out why the previous owner was so keen to get such an exotic embodiment of nature’s beauty off his hands. The song of this caged beast’s calls, it seems, attracts not only appreciative human spectators; the animal guests it lures in proving to be much less passive in nature. Having narrowly escaped one night under the attack of the nearby pack of wild dogs who heeded the creature’s musical plea, the circus is still no more willing to relinquish the beast; instead they plan to transport the beast to their stationary, and easily defendable, sister circus in Tsuchi no Kuni; which has a large range of spectacular creatures on show and is overall a much better home for it. It is your job to protect the circus from any animals drawn in by the creature’s songs, and the creature itself from anyone who would try to take it for their own.

Mission Objective: The family of a man who was once renowned across his home land for his prowess in combat and die-hard attitude has become concerned for their beloved kin, who, having reached his 50th year, has descended into depression and thrown in the towel; declaring himself too old to carry on. His family have comforted him since then, however, he doesn’t seem to be responding well to their encouragement and they’re starting to get antsy. For many years, this man has driven off and controlled bandit activity nearby; the sudden resignation from his unofficial duties leaving his neighbours, but more likely the man himself, vulnerable to the vengeance that will inevitably come when the bandits find out about his weak state of mind. In desperation, the man’s son has come to the shinobi for help, believing that if his father can be drawn into a fight, it’ll become apparent that he hasn’t magically lost his skill due to age. It’s your job to snap this man back to his senses through any means possible, and ensure the regrouping bandits don’t succeed in their revenge.

Mission Title: Picking Up The Tab

Mission Location: Shuuren District, Broken Arms Pub

Mission Objective: A fight has erupted in the Broken Arms Pub, though this is quite regular for the pub, the brawl has escalated to a more uncontrollable state. You have been assigned to head into the pub and end any conflict that is taking place there. Use force if you must, but try to make it a last resort. The last thing you want on your hands are groups of strongmen ganging up on you.

Mission Objective: A trusted weaponry merchant has arrived in the Lightning Country to deliver the large order of kunai and shuriken to Kumogakure. He normally makes the journey alone, but there has been rumour of a gang of bandits who are after the weapons the merchant has made for some easy money. You must escort the merchant from Fisherman’s Port to the Daichu District where he can drop off the projectiles at a weaponry store.

Mission Objective: Two rivalling clans have recently had a huge-scale argument that disrupted the whole Clan Headquarters, throwing everything out of its usual harmonious balance. You need to go between the clans as a diplomat of sorts due to the clan elders refusing to speak to one another directly, and you need to get to the bottom of things before it gets out of hand again.
