Mission Objective:
It seems a shinobi going by the alias, "The Masked Avenger" has been breaking into rich homes, stealing valuable items and then keeping them or giving them to the poor. Unfortunately for him, he unknowingly broke into a Feudal Lords home and now they're looking for an immediate arrest. We cannot allow this Robin Hood to destroy our good reputation with the Feudal Lords. Your mission is to find this shinobi as he's breaking into a home and then follow him back to his hideout. Apprehend him and grab any items that you believe were stolen. Be careful though, for this shinobi has quite a few tricks up his sleeve.

Few days ago Kichi has applied for a mission to capture a thief going by the name "The Masked Avenger". "What kind of name is that..." Avenger, avenge to who. He was just a low life thief who was stealing valuable items. Too bad he had to steal from a Feudal Lord. That's what was in Kichis mind. Later that day he received the letter that his mission application was approved and he can start as soon as possible. The mission was to find the thief stealing and follow him to his hideout. After that he must apprehend him and return all the stuff he stole. Pretty simple. Now the problem is, how to know which house will he rob next. Fortunately there weren't so much rich people in Kumo. Only few houses which can be observed from one spot. But before doing anything he would go from house to house to see which one got robbed and which not.

And so he was headed for the "rich" part of the village. The houses were amazingly big and of course every house had a beautiful garden. As he was looking at them, he could see few ways of how one can enter in without being noticed by guards. And it was quiet simple too. So he went to every house to ask if they were robbed. After half an hour of investigation, only 4 houses were left. Of course that doesn't mean that the ones that were robbed won't get robbed again tonight, but the 4 houses that were left had a higher possibility. Now that he found out which houses weren't robbed Kichi had to find a good spot from where he can see everything. it didn't take too long to find it. All he needed was something quiet high that was near the houses. And the place was no other than the house of a rich person. It was the highest building in the neighborhood, and thats all he needed. Now all he needed to to was come here an hour before nightfall and wait.

He went back home to get some sleep because he didn't know when will the thief strike. It could be early or it could be after midnight. After the long sleep he woke up and immediately went to the "rich" part of the village. He jumped on the spot where he can see everything and waited. It will surely be a long night so he brought a bottle of water with him. He didn't want to dehydrate while waiting. "Ok let's see what you got Avenger."

Tetsu walked in the velvet cover of the night. He stayed in the back alleys of Kumogakure, he didn't want to be foolish now. He knew he was on alert and that he had been reported. But it mattered not. He wouldn't be seen, and even on the slight chance that he was, he would kill anyone that saw him. That was his ideal, his steely focus. None should stand in his path. Tetsu often asked himself things like; "Why are you doing this?" but he would soon shut off his mind and just let himself do what he wanted.

And what he wanted, exactly, was to cause as much fuss in Kumogakure as possible. He hated the village. Tonight would be his last operation, then he would leave the damned village forever. Where he would go, he wasn't sure. All he knew was he didn't want to stay in Kumogakure any longer. Which was why he was going for the jackpot tonight. He saw his targeted house across the backalleys of the housing district.

Staying in crouch, Tetsu formed a handseal and body flickered across the open street. Anyone on the street might have seen a quick swishing movement, but no-one would be able to see his details. Running silently around the side of the house, Tetsu slipped his mask onto his face. He was stood at the back door of the house now. Pulling his short sword strapped to his back, he silently slashed the lock off of the door, and caught it in mid-air so it didn't make a noise as it hit the floor. Silently, he entered the house.

It was getting late and kind of cold. Kichi looked at the sky realizing it was probably midnight now. The sky was clear so the moonlight was able to light the streets making the observation much more easier. Kichi was hidden in the shadow made by a statue on the roof. He was crouched so nobody could see him from any angle of the streets. It was a perfect hiding place. Kichi looked around the streets very carefully trying not to miss anything that's moving. He heard a trashcan fall on the ground. He quickly looked at the direction where the trashcan fell thinking it was the Masked Avenger. On his misfortune it was only a stray cat wandering the streets. He signed and continued to observe the streets.

After about an hour of observing he saw a vague shade moving extremely quickly across the street. He than tried to listen carefully and there it was. A faint sound of a lock being broken. "Bingo.". The hose that was being robbed was the house next door. Kichi silently jumped off the hose and went to check the door. And as he suspected, he saw the lock broken. But for now he will leave the Masked Avenger steal at his heart content because he must find his hideout first before apprehending him. It should be an easy job if The Masked Avenger doesn't realize Kichi is watching him. So Kichi jumped back on the roof, just above the door and hid enough so that the Masked Avenger won't be able to see him once he leaves the house.

The house was dark and dimly lit. This was to be expected as it was just after midnight and the residents of the house were asleep. Tetsu knew this because he had been observing his targets for a few days, like he did with every target before he worked his magic to make everything perfect. He knew the old lady who lived in this house was rich, retired and liked to go to bed early, wake up at dawn and walk her dog, Chi-chi.

Chi-chi was a pug and pug's sense of smell were below average for canine's so Tetsu was less on edge about being smelt. He knew the dog respected it's owner to no end and would imitate her sleeping patterns. Being careful to walk on tip-toe, Tetsu opened the porch door and found himself in the pantry. He walked through the room and shut both doors behind him, the pantry door and the porch door.

Tetsu was now in the kitchen, but nothing was of interest here. He already knew what he wanted, and how he would obtain it. Making his way into the woman's living room, Tetsu stole her antique china clay set of cups and saucers. They were for show and had never been used by the woman, so were in mint condition. Taking the utmost of care, for any damage would reduce the price he could make from these products, Tetsu slipped then quietly into his backpack.

Tetsu thought about just leaving the place there and then, but he thought about the jewellery box in the woman's bedroom. It would be a risk, but if he was successful it was definately be worth it. Deciding he would steal the jewellery box, Tetsu creeped up the stairs jumping the creaky one. Tetsu knew the penultimate top stair was creaky because the stairway had a window with curtains which were never closed because the little old lady could not reach them and the moonlight sometimes shone elegantly through. Tetsu loved the view himself, so could empathize with the woman. Through the window Tetsu had seen the loyal pug follow it's owner up the stairs. The dog was slightly overweight and when it stood on the step as it was trotting up the step made a loud creak and made the woman jump.

Now on the second level of the house, Tetsu opened the door of each room to check was inside. One was the bathroom, and there was nothing of interest there, like the kitchen. One was the boiler room, which possessed nothing but towels. The final room was the bedroom. The woman was asleep in her bed with plenty of covers, there was no worry of her waking up. Her dog's ears pricked up, but it was not concious to follow through with it's interest. Not wasting any time, Tetsu grabbed the jewellery box, closed the bedroom door behind him and darted down the stairs again. He decided to leave the house via the front door, so he could make a cleaner getaway. Slipping the jewelley box into his backpack, Tetsu opened the door.

Tetsu was right in the middle of the main street. Luckily, no-one was around shopping or in the village at such a time, so he made his way back to his home in the back alleys. The buildings were close together and the alleys were tight. There were random boxes placed around and alleycats which made Tetsu start. But nothing else, his final robbery had been successful.

Few minutes passed since the thief entered the house and it seems the thief doesn't want to lose too much time in observing the inside of the house. He has probably already observed it from outside and maybe saw something inside. All Kichi had to do was wait for the thief to get out of the house and than follow him. However Kichi wanted to see how the thief looked because he didn't really get a good look at him. He went to the closest window and waited for few seconds. He slowly bent his head to the side and looked through the window. He saw the thief going upstairs slowly, trying not to wake up the owner. It seemed he even knew that the top part of stairs was creaky indicating even more that he was indeed, observing the owner of the hose.

For now it didn't seem he wanted to hurt the owner of the hose which was an old lady. He never hurt anybody anyways, but you never know, there is a first time to everything, even killing. That's why Kichi was watching through the window in the owners room to be sure that she won't get hurt. the thief stole some jewelery. After that the thief rapidly took few other things and decided to get out. However he didn't go through the back door. He went through the front door instead "Good thing I didn't continue to wait him at the back door." thought Kichi as he looked at the thief that was getting out of the house. Kichi than waited for the thief to go away to make distance. When the thief went few meters away Kichi jumped back on the streets silently and begun to follow him. Now the only thing left to do is follow without being noticed.

Tetsu was walking through the back alleys without much of a destination. His heart was pumping, and he was sweating like mad. No matter how many times he did this, he was always nervous. "Surely my nerves would disappear with time? Or experience?" But it wasn't so. It didn't really bother Tetsu, as long as he was successful in his jobs, how he did it didn't really matter.

Some might find this attitude very different to the way Tetsu prepares to take on his victims. But it is nothing of the manner. Taking another turn, the houses so close together Tetsu almost had to squat to get around. As he was jogging, Tetsu had a horrible feeling he was being followed, but he didn't have time to waste. "Not now, it's my final job. Please not now." Tetsu felt weak for finding himself pleading to a god he didn't believe him. But what he did was out of his control.

Concentrating chakra to the soles of his feet, Tetsu ran up the nearest wall. He built up momentum until he flipped over and landed on the roof. The wind hit him like ice. He was now higher up and the altitude was quite different, despite the main difference only being the height of a residential house. Not wasting any time, and wanting to make sure if his suspicion was correct, Tetsu looked down over the wall of the building he had just climbed. If somone was following, he would be able to see them right now, for sure.
