| Today was rather strange for Inzei. He was walking the country side and ended up finding himself lost. This area was strange and surely it hadn't been found before. He stood in the open field, the grass as tall as a small child. The poor tyrant stood out like a sore thumb, his black and orange attire was a giant target for him. Something had found that target too, a large creature crawled through the grass towards Inzei. It wasn't very good at hiding but it didn't need to anymore, the creature stood up and leapt towards him. A large lion, his fur golden like the sands of his plains, narrowly missed Inzei. The genin had managed to lean out of the way for the creature to miss him. Much to both of their surprise, neither expected the other. In a swift motion, Inzei grabbed the tail of the lion as he leaned out of the way. The creature yelped before turning on him.
It ran towards the golden tyrant trying to take him down. Inzei smiled as he stepped to the side and rammed his elbow into the lion. The animal slid towards the right as it spun on its heels. Staring down its new opponent. It's white fangs bared, ready to strike at any sign of hostility. A lion? A large one too. Let's see how this goes.
"What are you doing here, human?"
"I would ask myself the same, lion. I was trying to summon a creature and ended up here."
The lion seemed to eye the king curiously before something akin to laughter echo'd out of its throat. The lion began to slowly circle Inzei as it's long tail swished side to side, waiting for its chance to strike. Surely it didn't think it could kill Inzei, even if he didn't have his clay, he was still a threat. The lion began to speak once more as it kept any eye on his new found opponent.
"Summon a creature? You? You must be joking. No one is capable of summoning us lions. We are the kings."
"Oh?"
Inzei arched an eyebrow at this comment. It was certainly interesting but he was starting to see parallels. The creature you summoned was similar to your nature. Certainly if Inzei explained himself this lion would understand why he was here.
"I am Inzei Haretsu, I am the king of the human world. Or rather, I am in the process of becoming king. I come here to ask you for a hand in such a journey. You don't seem to be king yet either, perhaps you are a prince? Wouldn't you like to see the outside world and travel with me? It would help you grow even stronger."
"Hm? Me? I am king. That is all there is too it. You may be trying to gain your throne in your world, but mine is secured. However, you do interest me. I would like to see the world outside my own."
"Sen! Where are you?! The king demands your presence!"
Another voice could be heard in the distance hunting for Sen. Inzei smiled at the large cat before him. It seemed to have a look of shame crawl across its face followed by anger. Apparently someone had been lying to the tyrant.
"Oh? Looks like your king wants your attention."
"... Shut up. I am Senshu. The rightful heir to this throne. My brother however is being chosen for it instead of me. I am not strong enough yet obviously. Can you promise me you will help me grow stronger if I help you gain your throne?"
"Why of-"
The lion known as Senshu roared loudly, stopping the other lion in his tracks. It was a smaller lion Inzei could tell. Though its fur was golden it didn't seem to be very old. It was roughly ten meters out. Possibly that was the younger brother Senshu spoke of. His roar was still ringing in Inzei's ears. The lion before him looked him in the eyes, his gold contrasting Inzei's red.
"No! I need to grow stronger. None of my prey has challenged me like you. You can not simply accept this request with such a carefree attitude Inzei Haretsu!"
The young liege realized what the situation was. His red eyes studied the lion before him as he slowly grasped what was happening. His posture changed as he stood up straight and faced Senshu fully. He cleared his throat and held out his right hand towards the lion.
"I swear to you, by the gods that watch over this realm we live in, I will make you stronger. If you can offer me your strength in my path for the throne, then I will make you stronger."
Senshu showed something similar to a smile crawl across his face. The lion spit up a scroll that had Senshu written across it kanji. The scroll wasn't held together with anything but seemed to be sealed air tight. It was black and gold with some strange writing on the top and bottom border of it.
"Sign this with your blood then, Inzei. I will come to you when you call for me. Our pact will be made and the throne shall be yours."
Inzei grabbed the scrolls, unrolling it and biting his thumb in the process. Signing his name on the first available slot. It glowed for a moment, then the scroll rolled itself back up. Senshu walked forward and gently took the scroll from Inzei's hands, ingesting it once more. That is disgusting yet interesting. I'll keep that in mind. Inzei thought to himself as he watched Senshu curiously.
"I must go. I will see you on the battlefield Inzei."
The lion known as Senshu ran off, towards the sound of the voice Inzei heard earlier. Suddenly a puff of smoke surrounded Inzei, re-summoning him back to his own world. He glanced around to see if anyone had seen him. It was a strange day. Inzei shrugged his shoulders as he looked around. He was lost but he knew the way from which he came. It began to follow his path only to stop and look out towards the fields.
"Now my followers grows by one."
Inzei muttered as he started walking back towards the village. His new found ally would let him easy over power those who thought Inzei alone. He felt almost excited to get into another fight, now he had someone he could trust. After all, who else is better for a king to trust than another king? |
