Yoruma, Amodati-Ozu
THE INFO. Name: Yoruma, Amodati-Ozu Nickname: Ozu, "Ghost" Age: 14 Gender: Male Appearance: Infamous for his small stature, Ozu uses this known fact about his body to his advantage. Barely eclipsing five feet high, and 120 pounds soaking wet, nearly every facet of Ozu's body is small, even in relative comparison to his clan mates. Ozu has a skin condition, due to a lack of melanin in the epidermis, giving him a very pale complexion, making him look drained often, or sick, granting him the nickname "Ghost". What's even more odd is that Ozu has very clear dark circles around his eyes, offering an odd contrast. Many often say it grants him a degree of mystery, and some to the degree where he's something "supernatural". Also to contrast his spectral tone, Ozu's eyes are the definition of dark. They're not brown, no, they're definitely black. People are often afraid to look him in the eye, for they fear they're staring Death in the face; claiming his eyes are "Abyssal", so dark that the pupils are seemingly lighter, which is in fact true, his pupils are more distinguishable due to their lighter shade. His hair is also very oddly dark, a black that is nearly the opposite of his skin tone. Medium length, perhaps reaching the back of his neck and then curling up. The front of it also covers a lot of his face if he were to allow it, but he usually wears a "beanie" to keep it out of his eyes. Ozu is nearly all skin and bone, little muscle, even fewer amounts of body fat, so nimble movement is at a maximum. He is also double jointed in his shoulders (which is really just hypermobility of the joint), and thus his ability to throw projectiles is a thing of awe. He has a very long and slender face, with a squared jaw and defined chin, and a tiny nose. His fingers are long and slender, to the point where it almost seems creepy. Ozu's clan symbol is tattooed upon his left cheek. If one were to take Ozu's physical attributes, they may be creeped out, for lack of a better word, however many people look at him as a whole, most say it works well together, all the contrast, but in a very simple way. To go along with his clan's lifestyle of choice, it is all but mandatory for Ozu to dress in either dark shades of colors or black. He wears a thin black hoodie, but only wearing the hood when necessary, with the sleeves down at all times, and when the weather is smoldering hot, he ties the hoodie around his waist, revealing a simple dark green t-shirt. He wears black slacks and tabi, simple attire as most people would wear. He tends to favor this year-round, though he will add a wolf-pelt-lined hoodie as another layer in the colder seasons.
Forehead Protector: Ozu is oftentimes too proud to admit he bears allegiance to one entity, so he conceals his forehead protector beneath his shirt. Though it is obvious what is indeed hidden beneath his attire, Ozu doesn't reveal his allegiance until he deems it absolutely necessary.
Personality: Introvert by nature, Ozu spends the majority of his time in his head. Even when in large groups of people, Ozu tends to distance himself from most, not due to trust issues or uncomfortability, but due to what could be called nothing short of a God Complex, rather something of a Napoleonic Complex. He believes himself superior to most, though he will recognize a superior and a better if they prove themselves to him, he's not foolish.
An intellectual at heart, he enjoys thinking about damn near anything, assessing pros cons, the good the bad and the ugly about any sort of information he processes. Many say he should chase a life of politics, but he thinks paper pushing and people pleasing is definitely not the life for him. His work ethic can rival that of the most productive politician, but he prefers a more... Immediate means to get the job done, a more tangible one.
A dutiful lad, Ozu asks questions only when necessary, and only when pertaining to the task at hand. Once he is briefed about everything he needs to know, he will use the aforementioned process, and go about his business. He prefers to work alone, but if he must work with others, he'll do it, regardless of how reluctant he may be, and will show everything he's got, not because he has anything to prove to them, but to satisfy the aforementioned God Complex, being as synergetic as he can.
Though he is the definition of stoic, it doesn't mean Ozu feels nothing, in fact, he's quite sensitive. He feels strongly about certain things, in various degrees - love, hatred, jealousy, and he has many triggers to bring these emotions about. He just doesn't have means of efficiently displaying these emotions, so everything remains in his head, staying to fester, unresolved, positively or negatively.
There is a certain attachment Ozu has - to his deceased grandfather, in which he carries a small memento of him everywhere. Should anything happen to it, there's no saying what could happen (murder most likely, but who knows? He's a teenage boy). They weren't exactly the closest when he was a younger lad, but he feels as if he should have been closer with him, an now regrets it.
Quite the sadistic animal, Ozu enjoys the misery, pain and suffering of others. To this day, he has no idea why, no personal turmoil, no physical injury to himself he'd wish to bestow upon others, he'd just always got this weird kick out of seeing someone with an open wound or broken bone. It isn't quite a bloodlust, but everyone close to him knows all it will take IS that one bit of personal turmoil to set him off.

THE NINJA. Origin: Amegakure no Sato - The Rain Village Affiliation: Konohagakure no Sato - The Village Hidden in the Leaves Rank: Genin (C-Rank) Specialities: Ninjutsu / Weaponry Elemental Affinities: Katon , Raiton Combat Style: Far from wanting to be the center of attention until he knows he can make something of it, this shines through in his combat style. Hiding, assessing, analyzing the battlefield and what's around him, scenery, obstacles, etc, is how Ozu spends most of his time in battle, whether it's started or not. He's quite the escape artist, using some of the most unorthodox means to escape, even if it's only taking an utterly random path when running from an opponent (or baiting them), to hiding underground, etc. He enjoys toying with his enemies; watching them suffer. Setting up elaborate traps, baiting people into it and watching them squirm is something of a dream to him. Special Characteristics:
THE BACKGROUND. History:
Birth
- Spoiler:
'Twas a daaaark and stoorrrmy night... Not really, it was actually a fairly bland day. Overcast, not too warm, nor too cold, but with the ever looming threat of rain in Amegakure. In a small wooden cottage, just north of where they'd till the land, a breeze rolled through the second floor window where Ozu's mother, Hisha, laid in bed after hours of agonizing labor (Ozu was difficult even in the womb, evidently). Wrapped in her arms, and looking up at her forgiving light blue eyes, Ozu felt safe. As much emotion as a newborn could feel, anyway. His father was absent from the miracle of birth, however, as he was out serving Konohagakure in a joint espionage mission that Ozu remembers hearing years later was "top secret". However, the rest of his family was there, though most were to young and uninterested to care about the new addition; his siblings a this point was 2, 5, and 6, 12 and 16, obviously the latter two were by their mother's side, asking multitudes of questions; whether she needed anything, was she feeling okay, what it was like, etc. She dismissed them from the room when she felt enough was enough. The rest of the night Ozu's father did not return, and Hisha had a feeling of deja vu, as this was certainly not the first time this had happened. In fact, there'd only been a single child he was there to witness the birth of, the eldest, Tozhu. Spending the rest of the night crying endlessly, Ozu kept his mother up, allowing her to think, something most fear but embrace anyway. Early the next morning, after receiving word of his child's birth, his father Orozhu took leave of his mission in Fire Country and returned to Amegakure. As he held his "bundle of joy" (which really wreaked of feces and cried non-stop, hardly joyful), he couldn't help but tear up, as he did every time he had a child; this was now his sixth, and quite frankly, Orozhu had no intentions on stopping anytime soon. Ozu recalled this tale being rather dreary and dull, but it was his birthday. He was constantly told as a child "be thankful you or your mother didn't pass", regardless of how dark that is to tell a child, Ozu understood that that was a common occurrence.
Early Childhood - Spoiler:
With his father being the namesake of the clan Yoruma, and his mother merely being married into it, the children had a choice whether to be a Shinobi or not. And from an early age, seemingly right after he began to walk, it was clear that Ozu wanted to walk in his father's footsteps and become a Shinobi, the first of the family since the eldest child was born. He'd begin throwing small kitchen knives around the house, not necessarily at people, just around, because aim isn't a concept most year old infants can understand, and he'd begin to trot around, jump (and successfully land, a feat most infants fail miserably at), as well as trying to kick and punch things, which is something infants do indeed do, but his were actually painful to some degree. Seeing as how the father was a higher rank than his brother, and thus away from the home more often than not, it was up to Tozhu to train his brother. Orozhu was a kind-hearted soul when Ozu was younger, very friendly and personable, and rather outgoing, something totally uncharacteristic of the clan, hence perhaps why he developed many relationships with other shinobi and had many close friends. Tozhu, however, was a total bastard. Mean, vicious, rotten to the core, as Ozu remembers when he was young enough to receive formal training, his eldest sibling put him through Hell when giving him training. Strenuous cardio workouts, endless days of work on the farm to begin his body conditioning. When it came to the actual shinobi training, it was hours upon hours of dreary meditation, to keep his chakra flow steady and consistent, rather than choppy and inconsistent as if evidently was. Boredom was one of the things Ozu could stand the least, obviously being a small child, any sort of physical or mental stimulus is required. He excelled and looked forward to his projectile throwing exercises, with kunai, shuriken and the like, as his aim was as good as was a normal genin when he was a mere toddler. Only simple weaponry training and the balancing of his chakra was mandatory at such a young age, claimed Tozhu, for too strenuous of activity could disrupt his chakra consumption and flow in his later years, making it become too unpredictable when he becomes more powerful. Ozu had no idea why, but he just went along with it. Most of his early childhood was spent with his older brother, training, and oddly enough, bonding. He developed a great friendship and relationship with his brother, becoming the best of friends, knowing one another's ins and outs. Due to his brother, he also met a lot of his extended family that his father refused to introduce them to due to personal vendettas and issues, such as his uncles, aunts, and his only remaining grandparent, his father's father, who'd remain somewhat of an idol for Ozu throughout his younger years, though he never really had any idea why, but like so many other things for children, Ozu just went along with it.
