| - SC:
Name: [Tier I] Enhanced Speed Rank: C Type: Physical Prerequisites: - Training: A 600 word training post is required to gain this special characteristic. Restrictions: Amongst the Speed, Endurance, Strength, and Evasion SCs, members may only possess two of them, unless they possess both Weaponry and Taijutsu as their Primary and Secondary Specialties. If one possess Weaponry or Taijutsu as a Primary specialty, with one other specialty, and acquire Weaponry or Taijutsu as a Sub-Specialty, they may possess up to any three of them. Description: After training relentlessly in cardiovascular and high speed movement, shinobi are able to greatly increase their overall stamina and movement speed. Those talented with this speed are capable of running with speed a man greater than their peers and even last a bit longer during extraneous activities without becoming exhausted. This boost in speed is usually enough to quickly catch escaping targets or outrun most regular citizens.
„It escaped again...“ Galateia sighed as she was on her knees looking at a deer running away. Those things were really fast and running around with the giant sword that Teia carried around was tough. She needed some serious training to catch up to those fast-trackers. Deer were food, food was survival, it was as simple as that and even a dimwit like Teia understood that much. If she was to not die she had to learn to catch up to her prey with her sword – she needed to have something to chop its head off.
And so upon filling her stomach with some rabbits that her traps fortunately caught Galateia started training. She had her claymore on her back the whole time. If she couldn’t handle the training with it, chances were she’d fail to catch her prey when it counted. Most of Galateia’s training consisted of simple running. She just put her sword on her back and ran, eventually her air supply ran out but only when her body hit the floor did Teia stop. The girl was so silly that she managed to not care about what her body said, just keep running until it was literally impossible and her body collapsed.
Her speed was nothing to write home about. Without her sword Teia may have been quite fast since she no longer had that thing on her back, it may have weighed half of her own weight. The young lady may have become stronger than most of her peers without having realized it but it didn’t help with learning how to move faster. Every day Teia just kept running, jogging in the morning, strenuous running exercises in the afternoon and then some rest before bed. That little bit of rest before bed was important to prevent fatigue. If she got fatigued it’d have been a day wasted…
Eventually Teia noticed her speed picking up a little bit, she was ready! One morning she tore a lot of clovers and stored them into a large pile. It was supposed to attract a deer. This was not yet the day when Teia kills a deer but one where she races one! The young lady sat by her sword ready for action, she knew that the deer could smell her but eventually they’d become curious and close up. Teia’s prediction was correct, eventually a more courageous and healthy deer approached her pile of clovers and started munching on them.
That was when Teia’s feet kicked off the ground and the swordswoman charged forward, she didn’t draw her sword, she just had to scare the creature away. The warrior girl just kept running as fast as she could trying to keep up with the nimble and noble creature of the wild. The small forest was a tough environment to keep speed up in – it was filled with roots and branches to trip and fall over but just like her prey Teia kept running. It was too bad that the first time she was unsuccessful. The whole time the deer was gaining distance and eventually the warrior had to let him go.
This strenuous race continued each and every day, the woman kept chasing deers until one day Teia noticed that the animals were no longer gaining distance over her. She was running on par with the deer, if only she started from the same point she would’ve been able to behead the noble and graceful roamer of the woods and have a lot of meat for dinner. Galateia never raced with deers from that point, she just kept training and eventually surpassed the speed slightly so that she’d be able to close the distance between the running animal and herself.
Her newfound speed often came in handy when she had to run away from packs of mountain wolves or other predators she didn’t want to kill. Bears were rather annoying and hard to outrun but eventually even that wasn’t too difficult to do. Normally Galateia would’ve been excited to fight them but now she was in the process of training her speed so the glorious match against the mighty mountain bear had to wait until next time.

| - SC:
Name: [Tier I] Improved Evasiveness Rank: C Type: Physical Prerequisites: - Training: A 600 word training post is required to gain this special characteristic. Description: Although all Ninja to some degree are renown for their evasive and slippery nature a possessor of this SC has trained to the point where they have begun to master not only the basic forms of evasive maneuvering, but they have also developed a small degree of Kinesthesiology (Bodily Knoweldge) increasing their natural mobility and flexibility. The suitability of the ninja increases as they are now capable of executing quicker flips, twists or dodges than their peers.
Living the life of a wanderer was not easy. Galateia found people wanting to kill her again and again. Mostly they were lowlife thugs trying to have the best of the situation of finding a young lady wandering the Country all alone. As strong as Teia was but if she let at least one of those battles wear her out too much she’d be exhausted by the time another mugger tried to take her sword and armor off of her cold dead body. And so the young lady had to learn to become more slippery and more skilled at dodging and acrobacy.
Some of her acrobatics training came from her young days when she was training with her father or in the Yoruma clan estate with her peers. All Yoruma had to be nimble, flexible and stealthy. Also Galateia possessed a genetic gift at being nimble seeing how most of her genetic inheritance was of nimble and swift Yoruma. Entire generations of training were passed down to her, all that the young warrior had to do was unlock that genetic gift and use it to her aid. Finally Galateia became determined to become nimble and jumpy even if that wasn’t her way of fighting.
And so the next day Galateia started doing simple stretching out exercises just to get a better feel of her body, just to gain more control over it. After the simple stretching exercises came the more difficult ones, splits and so on. After that every day the warrior lady started doing the simplest acrobatics tricks, trying to run up a tree without the aid of chakra, swinging from branch to branch, basic flips. The young warrior has taken a liking to flips, they not only allowed her to use her own swift and nimble body to dodge but opened up new opportunities for counterattacks.
To make the acrobatics training work Teia would’ve had to improve her own body, to gain some more strength and speed. Acrobatics was a tough thing to pull off as it didn’t rely on a single part of the body like swordplay did. For wielding a sword one only needed to strengthen their upper body, namely their arms. It was different with acrobatics, Teia had to tie bags of crushed rocks to both her arms and legs and work out to improve her muscles and make her body stronger so that she could pull those flips and rolls much more easily and spontaneously.
Then came the tougher part of analyzing which attacks had to be dodged in which way. There was no way to learn that, Galateia wasn’t much of a fighting theorist as she lacked experience and she could barely read a sentence so books and ancient scrolls were also not an option. That’s where all those numerous bandits that constantly tried to attack her came in use. Galateia actually allowed them to attack her and acted unprepared and observed their attacks carefully each time she was attacked. That was a way for her to study the most common attacks, to learn the “tells” that telegraph it so that she could identify them in a battle and dodge them faster.
When Galateia had some free time she liked to meditate on what she had learned and find a way or two to dodge each of the new moves that she saw. Any sort of basic taijutsu attack, simple sword thrusts and slashes. After just a couple of weeks of this she was able to dodge much faster and more efficiently. It was like in each battle she moved more graciously and flowed like a little creek yet precise like the time itself, never missing the beat. The training that Teia did working on her acrobatics and dodging made her proud, now even if she meets a powerful foe it’ll help her sustain minimum injuries and recover fully faster. That was always beneficial when living the life of a wanderer.
