"It’s over, Bakuho. ”
Despite the glass that had rain down upon him (and the rain as well) the male figure who stood in the center of this makeshift lab did not seem phased as the two children crashed through his skylight. At first he didn't even seem to care at all, but after a second he responded to the louder (and by first impressions, much more annoying) of the two.
"I doubt that very much, child."
Without so much as a flinch or sound (other than the sound of the bones in his neck snapping beyond repair) the male head turned a full one-hundred and eighty degrees to look at the two intruders. He looked at the two Genin, much like an owl... well looks to see what is behind its back.

If one were to forgo the fact that his head was facing the opposite direction, he gives the appearance of quite a meager human, wearing wore the appearance of a middle aged man, with spectacles that sit askew on his face. He was entirely unimpressive and held little in the ways of both muscle and height. This alone might push him into the category of 'entirely unattractive' without considering his receding hairline which left him only with a rather pitiful amount of thinning brown hair. Although in comparison if a woman can get past the whole head turn-y around thing a receding hairline and a weak body seems to be a small sacrifice to pay when you consider just how many sexual experiences such a flexible neck opens up for a couple.

Naturally, most of the other important details of his appearance were eclipsed by the fact that, you know... he was able to turn his head all the way around; he was certainly owl-like, but his body was obviously less than adapted to such a bird-brained adaptation. His inhuman flexibility had not only left his body with a rather gnarly and bloody bone, sticking out quite poignantly from his twisted neck but also emptied him of copious amounts of crimson liquid that trailed down his white coat and onto the floor even as he observed the two boy.

His face, despite the clear agony his body had suffered, still remained largely impassive save for a slight smirk as he looked at the two oblivious children who had literally gotten the 'drop' on him. With a dark chuckle shaking his contorted body, the male spoke for the second time.
"You really have no idea what you are getting yourselves into do you?"
His chuckle would erupt into a full on stereotypical crazy-anime-villain laughter just as the scene would literally dissolve around them, leaving naught but an empty warehouse and a small wooden trapdoor directly at their feet, covered only by a corpse with its neck twisted in the same unhealthy fashion.

The trapdoor would lead to a dark, dank, dimly lit and more importantly dark hallway; so dark that even the most experienced Shinobi might be a little more than apprehensive about entering.

"Well it seems we have some interruptions Nina..."
He spoke only to an empty room, but gripped the scalpel he had held in his hand tighter in annoyance.

Despite his aggravation at the interruption to his work, he found himself thanking whatever Gods did not exist that he had the foresight to set a number of Fuinjutsuu based traps in the decoy lab directly above him, the most useful of which being the minor illusion based trap and the more powerful trapped that negated all usage of chakra (beyond his own) when the building was entered; a burglar alarm for Ninja if you will.
"I wonder who might have found me?"
He turned around facing the long pitch black hallway and off some distance the ladder directly below the trapdoor he waited. Whomever it was, he would enjoy adding their bodies to his collection.

Never in his life had Hiryuu faced terror such as this. The world around him morphed and dissolved, leaving them sitting in the empty space of Lot Four. Bakuho was one step ahead of them. Hiryuu's stomach bubbled, his legs shook and he swore his testicles took cover inside of him. The fear was genuine, the air caked with the shocking laughter of a crazed monster. Hiryuu gripped the hilt of his sword until it rattled in the scabbard. Yusuke looked back at his partner and expressed genuine concern. Was he alright? The prim and proper Hyuuga was finally experiencing the real world, not the comfortable training exercises behind the walls of Konoha. His fearlessness up until this very moment had been cockiness, which was now splattered on the floor in sweats.

“I'm fine, I'm just...” he sighed.

This wasn't a time for joking and Yusuke understood it perfectly. He didn't even need to speak, it took single glance to remember their oath. To be the heroes Konoha needed.

“I was a bit shaken... But that's over now. Let's do this.”

Hiryuu formed the seal of confrontation to calm his nerves, activating the Byakugan1. The trapdoor at their feet lit up, along with everything inside of the dimly lit room. Bakuho's chakra stood out like a light bulb, at the center of what seemed to be the end of a tunnel. Hiryuu scanned meticulously and noted any details while turning on his ear piece radio2.

“Make sure we have it set to the same channel. I doubt we'll need to really make use of these, but it won't hurt. As for the layout...”

Now it was time for the meat and potatoes of the mission, the information that the Byakugan so easily afforded him.

“The tunnel is about thirty meters long, fifteen meters wide and five or so meters tall. The entire thing has these weird crevices, leading from the tunnel all the way down. Where Bakusho sits, he's surrounded by these.... bodies. They're all dead, I don't see any chakra besides his. Note on these crevices... Don't use them as cover, they're only a few centimeters deep. The tunnel leads into a cul-de-sac type cave at the back, so we can use that to our advantage.”

Hiryuu stood tall next to Yusuke, his eyes filled with resolve. Fear gripped him for the final time. He'd be free from its clutches as long as he had Yusuke. As long they had their promise.

“I no longer have anything to fear but failure. Open the trap door.”

Yusuke would be lying if he said he wasn’t afraid. Fortunately, Yusuke was a liar. Hiryuu at his side helped steady his nerves, and it honestly did help to see Hiryuu experiencing the same fear as himself. Yusuke wasn’t alone, and neither was Hiryuu. Whatever happened, they would face it together.

Then Hiryuu began describing everything they were about to encounter and Yusuke remembered that an Otogakure geneticist couldn’t have designed a better team than these two. Between Hiryuu’s eyes and Yusuke’s plucky comic relief, Bakuho didn’t stand a chance. Yusuke placed in his ear piece at Hiryuu’s instruction1 – an insurance policy in the unlikely event that the two of them got separated – and nodded. Taking a deep breath, he looked toward his partner.

I no longer have anything to fear but failure. Open the trap door.

After examining it for any sign of traps, Yusuke kicked the corpse aside, trying to remind himself he was finally starring in his own personal zombie movie. Looking down at the trapdoor, Yusuke squinted. Bakuho obviously knew that they were there and was prepared for them – subtlety and stealth had gone out the window. Fortunately, Yusuke favored the bold approach. Instead of opening the wooden door, Yusuke shattered it into splinters with a ferocious kick2. Planks of wood collapsed into the dark tunnel below, and Yusuke looked toward Hiryuu, offering a shrug.

Guy can’t trap us down there, now.

Yusuke jumped down first, followed quickly by his partner. The Doujutsu Duo was plunged into darkness. Yusuke couldn’t see anything. Luckily, he didn’t need to. Walking side by side with Hiryuu, Yusuke gauged his speed and posture off of Hiryuu’s gait. After a few meters, Yusuke could make out a dim light at the end of the tunnel and the path gradually got lighter while his eyes simultaneously adjusted to the dimness. He could make out the slight details Hiryuu had described, but he was still largely reliant on his partner’s visual prowess to guide him through.

Good thing I have my trusty seeing-eye Hiryuu with me!

Awkward silences didn’t suit Yusuke, particularly creepy ones. Fortunately, corny jokes did. Despite his obvious attempt at diffusing the situation, Yusuke was ready for action. Shortly after descending into Bakuho’s Creepy Funhouse of Shadows and Necrophilia, Yusuke had drawn the windmill shuriken3 from his back and flipped it open. He walked through the shadow of the valley of death with a gigantic demon wind shuriken in his left hand and a human shield partner willing to protect him should it come to that. Hopefully it wouldn’t.

Ten meters out from Bakuho’s room, there was enough light that Yusuke could see, his eyes having adjusted to the conditions. Assuming Team 3 made it to Bakuho’s lab unmolested, they would halt at the room’s entryway, approximately three meters away from the sadistic surgeon. Yusuke took stock of the room, noting the dead bodies hanging from hooks and the operating table in front of Bakuho. Yusuke couldn’t clearly make out what was on the table.

Raising the shuriken in front him, Yusuke’s jaw tightened. This was disgusting. The stench of cold flesh filled the air; suddenly, Yusuke knew what human meat smelled like. Forcing the gut wrenching bile back down out of his throat, he stared Bakuho down. Whatever lingering fear Yusuke had left had been replaced with vehemence.

Hiryuu . . . I know we’re supposed to turn this guy in but . . . Yusuke adjusted his windmill shuriken, the weapon’s scythes caught the dim light in a flicker as he held it in front of his torso. I’m not letting this guy get out of here alive!

The rain beat down upon the straw hat that a golden king had donned. The warehouse he had been searching for was finally before him, uninviting as expected. Just before he entered the warehouse he heard1 the noise of splintering, Inzei's red eyes narrowed at the sound. His right hand slipped into his clay pouched and began molding2 a creation3 for battle. The wary genin walked into the warehouse to see two figures dive down into the floor. Inzei's right hand flung forward releasing the wolf he created. It landed before him and slowly walked towards the hole in the ground created by a destructive force. Inzei walked towards the hole that resembled the night sky.

He hopped down, with his wolf following behind him. His red eyes squinting hard to adjust to the darkness as he made out two shapes at the end of the tunnel. The golden king ran down the hallway, his wolf following at his side. He couldn't see anything but his wolf was all he needed. If something were to obstruct his path the wolf's explosive force could blast it open. He continued down until he arrived roughly two meters behind Hiryuu and Yusuke. If he made it there without any troubles he would officially reveal himself to the duo.

The tyrant recognized one of the figures but not the other, unaware that Hiryuu already knew he was there. He cleared his throat as the clay wolf took a step before its creator.

"Well now, that's a bit dramatic isn't it Yusuke?"

Inzei spoke as he threw the straw hat and cloak behind him, revealing himself to the duo. His smile wasn't there because he met an ally but rather because he had a chance at his rival again. He glanced between the two before speaking once more.

"I'm going to assume you two are here for that mad man as well. I'm here on Kumogakure's behalf. I'm Inzei. Care to introduce yourself?"

He spoke highly but his body was primed4 for any incoming attacks. Ready to leap away in case danger presented itself before him. His smile faded to a smirk as his chest puffed out more. He wasn't trying to show off but he was ready to fight. The chance to fight Yusuke once more excited the mad king.

"Who dares interrupt my work !?"

He bellowed out, like a father who's work had been interrupted by his children or more specifically, a raging addict who's attempt at getting his fix had been thwarted by the arrival of an intervention.

By the time the trapdoor had shattered, Bakuho already set his plans in motion, Even though the dim light from the room did not cast much light down the tunnel, the doctor was thankful that it afforded him enough vision that he did not need any other means of proximity detection, at least for non-specific details.

"Looks like I'll have more bodies to add to my collection !"

He bellowed again down the hallway around the same time that the first two of his pursuers entered. At the same time, two of the bodies next to him slid into the ground seemingly without any application of his chakra.

"Trust me, I'll make good use of your bodies."

With each moment that passed Bakuho felt the thirst for blood rise up inside him. He spoke with such obviously dark humor that he might as well have added "if you know what I mean *winky-face*" to the end of his sentence. That being said his words and his obviously dark 'joke' were completely true and it really was not a 'joke' at all. To put it bluntly, his pursuers had better be wary lest they wished their corpses to be penetrated in a fairly uncomfortable place. (What like the backseat of Volkswagen? ). Although, the way it seemed from his dimly lit position of observation, two of them (as they had now been joined by a third figure) might already be used to such penetration.

The three male were not far apart and as the first step of defending his experiments came into play, Bakuho used this to his advantage. Although only two bodies had disappeared from his right side, three rose up directly behind each of the Genin with no more than a soft sound as the broke the damp dirt floor.

All the while it seemed as if Bakuho simply stood in the same position he had this whole time.

Being able to see everything in a fifty meter radius was extremely handy. Combined with the radios Hiryuu and Yusuke shared, the two were able to double the advantage of Hiryuu's blood1. As great as it was, there was a slight issue though. Another chakra showed up. Atop the entrance several meters behind them, Hiryuu saw a chakra comparable to Yusuke's above the entrance to the cave door. Hiryuu's eyes scanned him quickly, determining that possessed some type of malleable substance in his pockets he'd never seen before. He created a wolf from this same material.

Except it was imbued with chakra.

And imbued was a really light way to put it. It was choked full of chakra. The newcomer hopped down, unaware of anything going on underneath and approached the duo facing the criminal. Just as Hiryuu was about to attack him, he spoke Yusuke's name with familiarity.

“Yusuke, do you know this guy?”

His words were barely audible unless you were close or had a handy-dandy radio. The stranger's introduction did little to sooth Hiryuu's nerves.

“Kumogakure wha??--- Yusuke watch out!!!”

Hiryuu erupted into the receiver. Bodies. Dead bodies on the move. His attention snapped to his six, the beating heart of  dead body popping up right behind him. On instinct, he clutched his katana2 with his right hand, drawing it and spinning around to his backside. As the dead body popped out from the ground, Hiryuu pierced its beating heart using the accuracy of the Byakugan. Once he confirmed the dead body was.... dead again, Hiryuu would sheathe his sword and withdraw his staff with the same hand, twirling it to its full length3.

Hiryuu faced Bakuho with the Byakugan, confidence beating away the fear in his heart. Hiryuu rushed off to his opponent, keeping communication4 with Yusuke for any important information on the newcomer, Bakuho, or both. He ran at a controlled5 pace, holding the staff in his right hand a few inches way from his body so that the length of it ran parallel with his extended right arm, which was pointed down beside him. Hiryuu's right wrist was pointed so that his thumb pointed down the length of the spear with the majority of it tucked behind his right arm, running behind his armpit so that he had room to attack, but not enough to cause the weapon to drag on the ground. His left hand was free to grab any other items or tools he needed.

“There are bodies everywhere underneath us... This fellow, I don't know who he is or where he comes from but he takes a loss today.”

If Bakuho never moved or did anything to alert Hiryuu, he'd unleash a devastating slap to the bottom of his jaw, throwing his head upwards. If Bahuko had other plans, so would Hiryuu. He kept his watchful eyes on his chakra, ready to respond to his movement and any fluctuation in his energy.

H-hi, Inzei . . .

Inzei Haretsu was pretty close to the last person Yusuke wanted to see right now. Their match was still fresh in Yusuke’s mind, as was the heartwarming gesture of loyalty and friendship Inzei had made by giving Yusuke his headband. Of course, the fact that Inzei was an unpredictable psychopath that seemed like the type of creep to hold a grudge kind of marred the memory. Frankly, his demeanor caught Yusuke off guard. Throughout their entire match Inzei had said little to him other than to call him mongrel and they’d only spoken briefly after the match’s conclusion. Inzei acting so much like a regular human being freaked Yusuke out.

Inzei's wolf wasn't helping. Yusuke recognized the creature from their first encounter and knew all too well what it could do. This wasn’t good, but based on Inzei’s mannerisms, Yusuke wasn’t picking up a particularly violent vibe from him. Furthermore, he seemed a surprised to see them as well. Yusuke quickly deduced that he hadn’t followed them here. No, this mission had been overbooked. Yusuke was going to be sure to complain to someone about that if he made it out of here alive.

Long time no see! Did you ever get all of that sticky goo off?

Yusuke awkwardly tried to make small talk for a minute, doing his best not to set Inzei off. He shared a brief glance with Hiryuu, whom Yusuke noted to be on edge. Hiryuu was feeling the stress of the mission. Quite honestly, now that Inzei had arrived, Yusuke was much less preoccupied with the creepy necrophiliac and much more worried about Kumogakure’s Royal Bomber. Things had just gotten very complicated.

Yusuke, do you know this guy?

Er, yeah, Yusuke said, gulping. Lowering his voice, Yusuke attempted to speak in a flustered whisper, trying to take advantage of that radio as best he could. He’s the one I told you about from the tournament? The one with the claymations that go kaboom?

Yusuke watch out!!!

Yusuke wasn’t quite as twitchy and stabby as Hiryuu was. He appreciated the horror movie-esque vogue that was going on and mentally noted his extreme disappointed that instead of a beautiful horror queen he had been cursed with more Inzei. Life was unfair. Still, it could be worse; Inzei could have shown up with a team of other Cloud ninjas or something. Thank god he hadn't.

Yusuke had remained facing Bakuho’s general direction, having spoken to Inzei by throwing his head over his shoulder. He had been alternating glances between the Kumogakure kid with a crown fetish and the Amegakure scientist with a Yusuke fetish. At the time of the body’s rise Yusuke’s eyes were on Bakuho, but his seeing-eye Hyuuga tipped him off. Turning his head once more, from Yusuke’s perspective he could see the body behind him and another body spring up behind Inzei.

How unlucky for Inzei.

The body hadn’t arrived with any fanfare or weaponry drawn. It hadn’t lunged at Yusuke or even arrived at the battlefield in a defensive position, it simply stood up through the dirt. The damn thing hadn’t even had the common goddamn decency to yell ‘BRRRRRAAAAAAAAAIIIINNNSS’! Yusuke was indignant, but he was grateful he wasn’t in Inzei’s shoes. While Yusuke and Hiryuu had Bakuho to their front and dead bodies to their rear, the bodies that had arrived behind Yusuke and Hiryuu were in front of Inzei, with a third right behind him. He was surrounded on all sides by potentially hostile (though terribly undramatic) monsters; that gave Yusuke an idea.

Hiryuu’s super sword display was quick thanks to his natural speed and the fact he’d stab a kitten if it jumped out at him right now. Yusuke’s kick was rather speedy thanks to its simplicity. Leaning forward, Yusuke delivered a bone crunching4 back kick right toward the zombie’s chest. If successful, the kick would launch the zombie backwards, right into Inzei. While the Kumogakure boy would no doubt be preoccupied with his own unwelcome guest, Yusuke was sending him another present. Hopefully it would distract him long enough for Yusuke and Hiryuu to accomplish their mission.

Whoops, sorry Inzei!

Chivalry may be dead, but manners weren’t, and Yusuke had them! Offering a convincingly sincere apology after he had (hopefully) knocked Inzei to the ground by kicking a bad guy right on top of him, Yusuke turned and dashed5 into the room after his partner. Considering their close proximity, Yusuke didn’t have a chance of intercepting Hiryuu’s attack, but he could aid in its success. While Hiryuu ran straight toward Bakuho, Yusuke cut left. A few steps were it all took to place Yusuke at the necessary angle and from there he let his shuriken fly.

Thanks to Hiryuu’s prodigious eyesight, Yusuke did not have to accompany his throw with a warning. While the running Hyuuga presumably distracted Bakuho & co., Yusuke’s shuriken would likely arrive unnoticed until it was too late. Supposing nothing altered its trajectory, the spinning metal blade would rend the corpse on Bakuho’s right side in half. Cutting through the dead body just below its pec, the windmill shuriken would slice through and end up embedding itself into the side of Bakuho's operating table, directly behind the good doctor. The shuriken’s timing would ensure that the right side corpse would be too busy getting dismembered to pose a threat to Hiryuu or come to its master’s aid. Furthermore, with the large windmill shuriken sticking out of Bakuho’s operating table, all Hiryuu needed do was follow up his initial slap with a shove and he could impale Bakuho through his back. In basketball this was known as an assist.

What of Inzei? Yusuke was standing just inside the left side of the room where the first dead body had been hanging. The body itself had vanished in response to its master’s summons, which gave Yusuke a cozy little nook to call his own. He was four meters away from Bakuho’s crew and the next dead body was five meters to his left. Inzei was roughly four meters away as well, out in the hall. From here, Yusuke could see Inzei and Inzei would be able to see him. After throwing his shuriken, Yusuke glanced back toward the Kumogakure shinobi to see how he had handled Yusuke’s little stunt and if he could expect any explosives coming his way.

Hopefully Inzei had been paralyzed by a crippling fear of dead things.

It was strange, Yusuke and Inzei spoke ignoring the mad man yelling across the room. Small talk was inevitable when Yusuke inquired if Inzei had ever managed to clean that syrup off him. But something made a noise that Inzei wasn't too comfortable with. It was unnaturally quiet in this tunnel aside from the three shinobi and mad scientist's occasional banter. The sound of the dirt moving alerted5 Inzei to something behind him. He spun6 on his heels only to see a corpse... standing there? Regardless, Inzei leaped to his left and landed a meter away when Yusuke kicked the other one towards his previous location. Inzei's wolf however never moved an inch. As the other body collapsed on top of the wolf, Inzei detonated it. The two corpses now were at the least disabled. Their legs would have every bone broken forcing them to crawl instead of run.

After detonating the wolf, Inzei's hands jammed themselves into his clay pouch. Hungrily munching and molding7 clay. The king wasn't one to hold grudges but this was just unacceptable behavior. He took a few steps forward, roughly one meters worth of steps before throwing out both his hands. In his left hand revealed three spiders8 while his right showed two birds9. The seal of confrontation allowed the creations to spring to life. A bird and three spiders rushed towards Bahkuro, a fail safe if Hiryuu and Yusuke failed to get him in their blitz. While one bird went towards Yusuke. As the bird closed the distance on Yusuke it would stop at one meter and detonate.

"Consider that a warning."

Inzei would mutter as his right hand would find its way to his sword. He was prepared to slice apart another useless corpse if it were to present itself. He took a few more steps, now at the entrance of the room. He waited for something horrible to happen, after all, this mad man could move corpses. The man known as Bakuho was in quite the predicament now. He could either take the hit from Hiryuu and Yusuke or be blown to pieces by Inzei. Inzei's frame blocked the only visible exit, with a golden sword in his right hand. He was fucked roughly six ways to sunday.

One could hardly expect the dead to do much of anything. Much less expect them to give a group of 'practiced soldiers' (if such a phrase could be used to describe these runts) any sort of decent fight and as such Bakuho's playthings (in more than just the combat sense) were dispatched without effort and by two of the three, without any really effort or expenditure by his observation1.

As soon as his tools were rising from the ground the twisted doctor cut short his taunting and sprang into action. Using his naturally agile nature 2 he slid over the top of the table his left hand seemingly nonchalantly sliding over the center of the table3 to place his next attack4 still in cohesion with the whole of his movement and relatively subtle to less perceptive opponents.

"Oh no not Lucy! Somebody get a doctor!... oh wait..."

Just as the group dispatched Groan-y, Kinky and Lucy [loose-y], the three corpses so aptly named for traits Bakuho had ascribed to them for various reasons (which I will let you determine) by blade, foot and kaboom respectively, Bakuho rapidly placed himself a less halfway5 between the back wall and his operating table, with the table in front of him and his back closer to the wall. At the same time as he moved to place himself in this position both his hands dropped to his side, ducking behind his coat to hide his hands and pulling out six senbon6 each of the with a small piece of paper wrapped and then tied around them, just as two of the boys began to make their advance.

Swinging arms forward, Bakuho would launch his projectiles just as one of his three opponents would pick up speed to ease his effort to close the distance between them1. This one was obviously the close range fighter, and seemingly the most worrisome out of this rag tab band of sodomites (willing or otherwise) and thus all six of the projectiles were aimed for him, dead on and with the most accurate precision he could muster.

Immediately after the Senbon left his hands and just as the doctor had assumed a fairly neutral posture, albeit semi-off-kilter stance befitting of a man with little to no physical specialization (with his left hand hovering near a weapon pouch on his left leg and his right maintaining a position close to his chest) the over sized weapon of his second opponent (who was by far the prettier one) collided with the metal of his table causing the small room to echo with a loud grinding ring as the metal tore into each other.

He laughed as he spoke.

"I'm not sure what you are aiming at pretty boy, but you clearly need an Optometrist to check on those eyes of your and that kind of doctor I am not."

The third of the group seemed to keep his distance, Bakuho's keen vision1 being sure to keep an eye on the pesky creations that crossed the distance dutifully.

Hiryuu's controlled charge was met with uncanny agility, something he'd only seen from the elders of the Hyuuga clan. Bakuho's legs moved effortlessly over the table, and his Byakugan saw something stay behind as his chakra flared to use a technique. Hiryuu noted his fingers activating first and a seal being placed directly after1.

“Nope.”

Bakuho wasn't just a medical ninja controlling the invisible strings of death, he was still physically skilled. Hiryuu expected the slow, weak-bodied medical type but Bakuho was tricky and sly. Hiryuu stopped his charge as Bakuho landed on the other side of the table and began to move backwards, with his eyes still faced towards his opponent. He'd been three meters away from him during his initial charge, so moving backwards as Bakuho crossed the table and drew his senbon was easy2.

“Nope again.”

Being far enough away from him by two meters, the cluster of tagged senbon were not difficult to avoid3. Hiryuu simply hopped a meter to the left, or directly next to Yusuke. Hiryuu's jump had been timed because he had eyes in the back of his head. The clay birds and the senbon would meet and hopefully explode.

Yusuke heard it loud and clear over his radio. Hiryuu was not fucking with this guy until they figured out exactly what he could do.

This other motherfucker named Inzei was going to be a problem. Not only had that wolf blown up with considerable force, he was now in the business of making spiders and birds. Instead of bombs with four legs, he had bombs that were creepy and bombs that could fly. Hiryuu kept careful watch on his supplies for the bombs.

Killing Bakuho was the least of their concerns. The trio needed teamwork. Hiryuu had worked in tandem with Yusuke on missions, but never in a situation like this. Hiryuu bent his knees and held the staff in his right arm ready to act.  His left arm threw three shuriken4 at Bakuho's center of mass, aiming just below his chest. Chucking them right after he positioned himself next to Yusuke would hopefully give some vital information.

“Watch the desk.”

Without turning around to see what Inzei was doing because he didn't need to, Hiryuu spoke up.

“Work with us. This guy easily has over double Yusuke's reserves. He's just getting started. Whatever it is you use to make those things is better put to use on this guy instead of trying to scare people.”

Hiryuu had no control over this battle, but he could support it with his Byakugan. Yusuke and Inzei possessed history and one thing he didn't have. Ninjutsu. Bakuho's attention needed to be divided up, and Hiryuu already began calculating ways to do it.

For the record, if there had been a dead body there, Yusuke would have totally cut that thing in half. As it was, however, there wasn’t. How irksome. Yusuke sighed.

Until he was shocked back to reality by Inzei’s warning shot. Yusuke watched all of the events unfold and remained uncharacteristically stationary. Observing the nature of his opponent’s movements and his accuracy, Yusuke was beginning to think that his and Hiryuu's regular style of combat may not be the best choice; it would only get worse before it got better. The senbon were another interesting tactic. As Yusuke watched them fly toward Inzei’s clay creations (where, for simplicity’s sake, they would probably end up colliding and mildly exploding, canceling each other out), Yusuke thought back to his own fight with Inzei . . .

And then, an idea occurred.

Keep him busy, Yusuke gruffly whispered to Hiryuu, moving toward the Cloud Explosives expert.

Inzei!

Yusuke was rushing toward him, his hands busy forming a series of seals. Yusuke was taking a bit of a gamble here, but one he felt confident would pay off. Inzei could have easily blown him up or attacked him with that last shot, but instead he had elected to warn him. He hadn’t threatened him, and up ‘til now, there had been barely any mention of mongrels at all. Furthermore, they had a common enemy. Yusuke was betting that, given the circumstances, they could form a temporary alliance.

Inzei had witnessed Yusuke’s aggressive charges enough to, hopefully, recognize the difference. Yusuke was exuding practically no killing intent, and if he was going to attack, it would hardly make sense for him to run at Inzei while he was making handseals when he could have easily attacked him from a range. No, Inzei was smart enough and had enough experience to know that this wasn’t an aggressive charge. Yusuke was trying to get close for another reason.

Yusuke ended up beside Inzei, on line with Hiryuu. Hiryuu’s shuriken spamming guaranteed two things: one, Bakuho was going to be preoccupied, hopefully too preoccupied to try and attack Yusuke. Two, he wasn’t going to be going anywhere. The Byakugan’s insight leant itself well to accurate shuriken placement, and while he had only started with three shuriken, Yusuke knew Hiryuu could keep that pace up for several minutes if he had to. Yusuke and Inzei were free to scheme.

Coming to a halt at Inzei's side, Yusuke faced toward Bakuho holding the tiger seal.

You have Wind Jutsus, right? Use one!

Bringing his left hand to his lips, Yusuke unleashed a terrifying explosion.

Fire Style! Fireball Jutsu!6

Yusuke was using his most powerful jutsu. From his lips an infero emerged, shaped by the boy’s chakra control into a gigantic sphere. The large blast was approximately nine feet in diameter. From their current range, Bakuho would have trouble avoiding Yusuke’s Goukakyu based on the blast’s size and speed alone; Hiryuu’s shuriken blast would only make it more difficult. With Inzei, however? It would be impossible.

Assuming Inzei had listened to Yusuke’s advice and performed the same Fuuton jutsu Yusuke had witnessed during their fight, Yusuke’s fireball would reach cataclysmic proportions. Inzei’s wind chakra would fan Yusuke’s flames, combining to create a firestorm that would cover the vast majority of the room. Combining approximately one meter in front of the pair, Hiryuu was safe from the combination technique’s titanic size, but Bakuho was left with practically nowhere to run. Even if he did manage to survive somehow, Inzei’s wind chakra would have made Yusuke’s fire blast large enough and hot enough to incinerate most of the room's remaining bodies. While Inzei, Yusuke, and Bakuho would all almost assuredly be momentarily blinded by the firestorm’s brilliant flash, Hiryuu wouldn't be: if Bakuho somehow managed to evade the flames, he’d see it, and adjust his aim accordingly. It was unfortunate for Bakuho that he had been located in a confined space.

Of course, this entire attack hinged on Inzei’s cooperation; he could end Yusuke’s plan easily enough by simply not participating. Yusuke had confidence, though, that he could rely on Inzei. Despite being former opponents, they had ended on good terms, and Yusuke still had the headband Inzei had given him as a sign of friendship and rivalry. Furthermore, Yusuke knew Inzei wanted to defeat himself, something he would be incapable of if Bakuho killed them all here and now. Finally, Yusuke was hoping that his strategy appealed to Inzei’s baser instincts: Inzei loved making things explode, and this was his opportunity to make a truly big bang.

It was only natural for the king to watch over the battle unfolding before him. The hyuuga easily stopped his charge to prevent himself from being impaled by the flying needles. Thanks to Inzei's vision1 he was able to see the senbon's figure. His clay bird intercepted the attack with its body and detonated in order to nullify the seals the man wrote on them. Hiryuu spoke to Inzei and quite frankly Inzei didn't like it. He felt like retaliating until he saw something move in his peripherals.

He looked at the black haired genin from the corner of his eyes as he noticed the hand seals he was preforming. He wasn't quite sure what jutsu it was until Yusuke requested a favor from him. Inzei put his sword back on his back, freeing the use of his hands. Wind? Hm. He's probably trying to create an inferno to roast everything in the room. But his partner might get caught in the cross fire. We'll see how well Yusuke can control his flames. Inzei thought to himself as he preformed the hand seals to the largest wind jutsu he owned. He stopped on the final seal as Yusuke started to spit flames forward.

"Just don't waste our power."

Inzei spoke as he exhaled a massive gust of wind2 into Yusuke's flame. What of the clay spiders the Haretsu was using to charge before hand? They had decided to run to Hiryuu while Inzei did he hand seals. All three of them stood by Hiryuu's leg waiting to charge forward or at least defend the hyuuga from any incoming threats. Though the fire's heat and widespread destruction was enough to roast anything to ash. The trio's unofficial alliance made them strong enough to take on Bakuho's army of useless corpses.

The only problem now was that both the Uchiha and the Haretsu couldn't see worth a damn. If Hiryuu didn't warn them of any incoming danger they would both be screwed. Inzei didn't like being screwed. The spiders would serve a duel purpose of incapacitating Hiryuu if he tried to betray the king.

PostSubject: Re: Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] EmptyWed 04 Feb 2015, 4:58 am

Having spent much of his life training in the medical arts of a Shinobi, it was clear from his earlier and less twisted (we're still talking feeding small creatures poison inside ice cream twisted kids, so don't worry) roots that he was a very perceptive individual. His eyes followed the close-ranged specialist with ease.1 Using that same perceptive aptitude, he also caught notice of the clay creations, not for the first time (albeit he the first time had namely been prompted by a measurable kaboom that had dispatched Kinky only moments earlier). The five creations were not worrisome to the experienced Shinobi, as the spiders were far slower than the birds and his Senbon would have enough force to rip right through that the flying creature if their paths continued to intersect and thus he kept a vast majority of his focus on the sodomite at whom his attacked had been originally aimed.

He followed the close-ranged fighter (who would become the new Kinky if this situation ended in Bakuho's favor) as he lept to his left, a surprising level of agility for his apparent skill level placing him next to the far prettier sodomite. As the first combatant finished the movement by bending his knees to absorb the impact, Bakuho's Senbon and tags were consumed by the resulting explosion from a detonated clay bird. This caused three of the six projectiles to be ricocheted backward and embedded into the metal of the table and the others to be driven into the stone walls above the explosion.

Without hesitation (an amount of dedication that would be sorely missed when he was made into Kinky 2.0) the close-ranged fighter continued his movement and threw three Shuriken towards Bakuho just before his ally took off with a decent speed toward the third of his three opponents.

As the Shuriken2 left Kinky 2.0's hand, Bakuho's own hand already held the same three identical tools. Mapping the path of the unfriendly projectiles the best he could, the doctor launched his own tools on an intersecting path his perceptive abilities aiding in his task1 as he launched his weapons and shifted some of his focus to the pretty boy (who was rapidly closing the distance between to his other partner) as soon as the weapons left his hand. If things went his way, the projectiles would collide and harmlessly scatter. Surely this Genin knew that a battle of simple tools would not lead him to victory.

The pretty one (who was destined to be the new Lucy, a future that would involve a lot of training for certain parts of his body) was making a set of hand seals whilst he ran. As he approached the third combatant (this one would not become Groan-y, his face and apparent attitude annoyed Bakuho too much, if the Doc would have his way, this one would simply become Dead) words were spoken as Lucy came to a stop, holding the tiger seal. Knowing that such a seal was associated with the Fire Release Techniques, Bakuho's mind rattled off calculations as he brought his own hands together in a single seal, activating two seals on the corpses under the ground with the hand seal as a medium of focus.3

Without any time passing between his stop, Lucy spoke to Dead and brought his hand to his mouth, releasing a massive fireball. As soon as the flames left his mouth two corpses rose from the ground4, standing at the just at the entrance to the room and a meter and a half in front of Dead's additional clay creatures (which would more than likely be consumed by the fiery mess that would soon occur). The corpses themselves were too morbidly obese fat men, each of them roughly three meters wide at their thickest part (their stomachs) and roughly two hundred and fourteen centimeters tall. They were spaced close enough that their hands could touch if Bakuho intended for them to make any movements at all, a majority of their mass designed to take up the bulk of Lucy's unpleasantly warm attack. To make matters worse for the doomed Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, their master had not taken the time to un-root them from the ground, thus from the ankle down they were still stuck in the ground, allowing them to absorb even the concussive force of such a blast and remain standing as burning scare crows; that is of course, assuming such an attack lacked the force to separate appendages from the body. Nevertheless, they would absorb the bulk of the blast.

The dead were tools much like the living, but Bakuho had to admit that even though he was heartless enough to use his so dubbed 'Quiet Friends' as literal human shield's, he found Dead and Lucy's disregard for their comrade surprising. With the size of the fireball being close to nine meters by Bakuho's quick perceptive observation1, it would only leave roughly six meters total of room left in the tunnel, roughly three each on either side of the fireball. Kinky's only chance for evasion was to risk coming further into the room as even with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum's defensive 'wall' the resulting dissipation of the fireball would be large enough that he would be a bit more than singed if he remained as close to the entrance as his Lucy's previous position had been. 4

Having dropped the hand seal as soon as his corpse defense had assumed position, Bakuho's body remained ready to defend against an attack with one hand near his pouch to prepare a weapon.

This fight was getting dumber by the moment, and Hiryuu was most certainly upset. Inzei and Yusuke had way too much area of effect for him to do anything than just sit there. So once he got done throwing his shuriken, Hiryuu just moved out of the way.

That was really it. He could see Yusuke's mannerisms, his face and his body language. He was up to something. It was time for him to go full on support as he suggested before. So, in light of this, Hiryuu dashed far inwards to the left, about three meters using his feet. He wasnt jumping. If there had been a fireball coming – which of course there wasn't, he would be safe from it.

Hiryuu, the trusty all seeing eye human stayed far away from danger using his Byakugan to hide away from surprises. Just in case Bakuho had anything hidden up his sleeves, Hiryuu kept watch.

Because he has X ray vision

Because he can see through sleeves.

He kept his fingers ready near his pouch to draw if the opportunity presented itself. Bakuho had to die.

So Hiryuu thought and thought and thought about what could happen. Yusuke had something planned for sure, most definitely he was going to plan something. But just what would he plan? Who knows, maybe Yusuke and Inzei had worked on some side projects afte the tournament. Maybe a little mission, maybe a little training. Yusuke was a mysterious fellow. Who knows what he could do?

Man, they could've trained all of their moves. Hiryuu didn't know. Why would he? It wasn't fair that people just judged each other so much. People just jump to conclusions about each other and formed stereotypes but Hiryuu wasn't that guy. He trusted his friend. No matter how mad they got at each other, it would all work out. As long as one aspires to be great and they aren't scared it didn't matter. You could do anything in life.

But will Yusuke and Inzei come up with thier big plan?

Find out next time.

Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] EmptyWed 04 Feb 2015, 9:18 am

Apparently Yusuke wasn’t the only combatant that needed to get his eyes checked.

Inzei . . . took a few more steps, now at the entrance of the room . . . Inzei's frame blocked the only visible exit, with a golden sword in his right hand.

Yusuke ended up beside Inzei, on line with Hiryuu.

Hiryuu had nothing to fear about getting hit with Yusuke and Inzei’s jutsu, because there nothing stopping it and because he was not in front of it.

As soon as the flames left his mouth two corpses rose from the ground4, standing at the just at the entrance to the room . . . With the size of the fireball being close to nine meters by Bakuho's quick perceptive observation1, it would only leave roughly six meters total of room left in the tunnel,

The fireball was not in the tunnel. Since Yusuke and Inzei were both standing in the entrance of the room the blast was discharged into the room itself, the fat men that he had summoned were not in front of the blast; they had been summoned underneath Inzei and Yusuke. Unfortunately, however, the corpses had risen from the ground AFTER the flames had already left Yusuke’s mouth and the wind had left Inzei’s. The attack was a success, and the fact two ringling brothers who were inhumanely wide – seriously, they were wider than they were tall – were waddling up out of the ground wasn’t going to change that. Bakuho was going to burn.

With nothing in front of the blast, it was almost a foregone conclusion that the medic was going to be hurt. While he was a slippery devil and a conniving one, Yusuke had not noticed him to be an extraordinarily fast ninja. This attack, by contrast, was extraordinarily fast, extraordinarily large, and extraordinarily deadly. Topping it all off, Bakuho had misjudged his distance and believed that he had summoned himself a shield when, in fact, he hadn’t. Bakuho had given himself a false sense of security, which only make Yuzei’s attack even deadlier; it was going to catch him by surprise.

In all likelihood the blinding flash was what would reach the medical ninja first. The brilliant flare up of the pair’s fireball, in this comparatively dim setting, would affect everyone’s eyesight but Hiryuu’s, which had been previously noted. Even if Bakuho were able to somehow realize that he had missed his mark prior to getting hit, there was virtually no chance that he would be able to perform an effective dodge. Staring at this blast was, in some ways, akin to staring at the sun. The furious light would almost certainly stun him, making his perceptive eyes worthless. It was unthinkable that he would be able to appropriately gauge the size of the attack, and as was previously stated, he was looking – With the size of the fireball being close to nine meters by Bakuho's quick perceptive observation. As soon as Bakuho attempted to judge the fireball’s size he’d be assaulted by its glare. So much for his observational skills: without some other explanation as to why he was glare-resistant, Bakuho would not know how far he needed to jump or in which direction it was even safe to leap.

Finally, he didn’t have any more time to perform another sudden wall summon. Being at the entrance of the room, with Bakuho just on the other side of the table, he was not particularly far away – Yusuke supposed approximately six meters. Even if he somehow could see the attack coming, was not stunned by its shine, understood that it had bypassed his defenses, and went to draw up another set of large bodies (what were the chances he had two more men large enough of intercepting a 9 meter fireball just lying around?), there simply wasn’t time. In all his time as a ninja, Yusuke had never seen an opponent evade such a large, fast attack from such a close proximity. Particularly not a ninja like this, a ninja whose specialty was not direct combat; Yusuke was guessing that once this was all said and done, Inzei and he would be fighting over Bakuho’s ashes.

Supposing the fireball did not encounter any resistance, the massive blast would crash into the far side of the room and erupt in a cascade of flames, ending just before the wall began to curve. The fiery swathes would ravage whatever remaining bodies were still back there, charring the wall as well. Incidentally, the blast’s concussive force (amplified by Inzei’s Fuuton chakra) would have swept up the good doctor’s table, mutilating the metal and sending it crashing against the back wall as well. In hindsight, Yusuke would like to think that, just for good measure, the table flipped and the fireball sent his old windmill (which was still sticking out of the table’s side) right into Bakuho’s guts just before the inferno incinerated him. It seemed unlikely, but given the circumstances, it was certainly possible that the red-hot table had in fact fashioned itself into a deadly projectile Bakuho would have to contend with.

What of Yusuke? Shortly after the flames had left his lips he had felt movement at his feet. His head
shot down to see another corpse rising up – incidentally, since he had cocked his head away from his blast so quickly in response to the fat man’s interruption, his eyes largely avoided the shine effect of his own attack. No doubt he and Inzei’s sight would still be affected, but as he was not staring directly into his blast like Bakuho, it would be significantly lessened. – and he reacted more out of fear than anything else. Jumping7 with all of his might, Yusuke kept his eyes toward the giant below him. Flying ten meters through the air, Yusuke ended up sticking8 to the ceiling above him. His back to the ceiling, Yusuke’s body clung to its stone surface as he examined the monsters that Bakuho had summoned with (more than likely) his dying actions. By the looks of them they weren’t capable of moving very fast, very much, and they certainly had no armaments. From this distance, he determined they wouldn’t be a threat.

The firestorm inside would conclude shortly enough once it was dispersed against the far wall, assuming it made it that far. Looking up, Yusuke would inspect the fruits of his labor; from his peripherals he could still see the two fat men. If their creator was dead, no doubt they would instantly fall to the ground. If they made any sudden movements, he would be aware. For now, Yusuke was simply hoping to see the charred remains of a man who very much so deserved to die.

It was god awful dealing with fire. It spread around so quickly that you would think it had a mind of its own. But thanks to Yusuke's prodigy in handling it, combined with Inzei's control gust of wind, it wouldn't spread. Hiryuu had no real reason to fear the firestorm hitting him, after all nothing was in their way to divert the flames. The nine meter monstrosity was able to roast through any half assed walls doctor-kun could hope to make. But that wasn't even the apex of the attack. One would think that Yusuke's flames alone would scare away any foes. Combined with Inzei's wind jutsu put the flames to B, possibly A-rank in strength. Effectively creating a firestorm that would make satan himself proud of the two. The firestorm had a bonus effect to it that Inzei wouldn't realize until it was too late.

Jesus glorious christ. That firestorm was brighter than god's smile. Inzei would've easily been blinded if it weren't for the sudden shift in weight at his feet. His eyes darted down to see a large head start to protrude from the ground. It wasn't much of a reaction but rather a simple observation, until it started moving. Yusuke at this time noticed the other and leapt to the ceiling, Inzei opted to leap back. Placing a good three meters between him and the door frame. It wasn't every day you roasted a rogue medical ninja to have Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum rise under you.

What happened to Inzei and Yusuke's combined firestorm at this time? Well it died down naturally with hopefully the charred remains of their opponent. Those two lumbering monsters were nothing to play with however. Inzei's mind flashed back to the monster he saw at the mad scientist's house. It reached into his clay pouch preparing to mold a creation in response to the inhumanly round monsters. No seriously, who on earth got that round? Inzei's red eyes combined with his natural flexibility let him easily dodge any incoming attacks. After all, his retreat was more strategic then instinctual. With the door way being the only entry way to the room, all attacks, enemies, even allies had to funnel through there. Inzei effectively was the gate keeper at this point. No one or thing could slip in our out without his permission. His eyes were still trying to adjust from the once miniature sun in the room before him.

However his eyes were still good enough to see shapes, recognizing those shapes however. That was a completely different story. Hopefully Hiryuu or Yusuke wouldn't rush Inzei without at least calling out to him. God forbid someone use manners around here.

As soon as the fireball from from its original position. Bakuho's hands formed a single tiger hand seal and he waited only a moment longer, allowing the massive attack to touch the edge of the table, the concussive force that followed the attack, sending the table towards him. Thankfully, Bakuho had spent much of his life adapting to both a perceptive1 and evasive abilities2 fighting style. To be evasive, one must be able to react faster than their opponent and thus such a high level of evasion grants a practiced user a higher level of reaction time than their opponent (reference any practiced martial arts fight ever) the opponent with a higher reaction is afforded both a better advantage and a greater room for error.

To anyone without the proper vision, it would appear that Bakuho was overwhelmed in a massive fiery death, logically to anyone who could not see past the flames or was not immune to the brightness of the flames they would scarcely see anything at all.

Ideally unknown to his combatants, at the last possible moment and whilst his opponents would be well and busy with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, the doctor used a technique3 to instantly switch position with top right most body in the hexagonal room; well out of range of the attack. The nearly blinding light from the Fireball Technique would be the first to obscure his position, because if either of them attempted to perceive his movement they would be assaulted by its glare. Without some form of extreme observational skills: his movements would be decently obscured. Further as a secondary distraction to their focus, his opponents would be provided with well enough of a situation to draw focus as was provided by the two fat circus freaks.

By the time the fireball would even graze against his dummy, Bakuho took a rapid and long step forward to the next closest corpse which in turn was closer to his combatants. In the exact same instance his hands formed a single hand seal4 as every single of his twelve corpses disappeared into the ground, even the top half of the body that Kinky had dissembled earlier and the mangled body that Dead and Lucy had maimed earlier, but excluding the fat ones.

Animated upon rising from the ground Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, made no initial actions, but at the same time as Lucy 2.0 leaped, their master's abilities pushed them the rest of the way from the ground. Given that their initial target decided to jump up at the entrance to the room, with enough force to leap ten meters; (that being said given that he was right at the entrance, the extreme strength of his jump would not give him enough time to position himself in the lower ceiling before entrance way5 and he would likely maim himself on the ceiling) the two fat men rushed Dead without hesitation or the fear that a living member might have.

At the same time, guided by Bakuho's new position, the other 10 bodies rose frome the ground, a few of them maimed or injured, to surrounded Dead. Each body was spread out enough to cover five meters around this combatant in a circle. Even with a perceptive ability the sheer mass of bodies would not allow him to evade with ease. None of them bore weapons, but all of them would rush this last combatant.6

Just as all these events took place, the fireball hit the back end of the wall, the impact causing the whole room and tunnel to shake.

With his playthings in place, Bakuho turned his focus to the last position of Kinky 2.0, using the small crevice to hopefully provide him with some cover.

Mentally, Hiryuu was rattling like an alley trashcan in a storm. His nerves were smooth initially, but as his faith begin to dwindle in himself and his partner (and Inzei), he came to the conclusion that this battle was too much. Not only had they failed to actually attack Bakuho (not referencing his fireball dodge just yet) there was still the issue that Bakuho had a numbers advantage and he was a medical ninja.

He possessed chakra levels of a jounin or higher, and could no doubt heal himself. The only way for them to win was for Bakuho to give up or give up something. The issue with fighting him was a lack of coordination on the trio's part, and it didn't take the Byakugan to see it. Bakuho had twelve dead soldiers at his command and he could control them and their location freely, on top of that his evasiveness was on a level greater than Hiryuu's Chuunin leveled sensei and he still had tremendous reserves in comparison to the trip.

Hiryuu was blade in this fight. Ranking didn't matter to the Jyuuken. If Hiryuu got a clear shot at Bakuho, he'd drop his reserves to nothing.

How in the world would Hiryuu manage to accomplish that? He'd no clue. He'd been running around avoiding Bakuho and his traps and trying to determine a way to win. Had Hiryuu been on a relative level with Bakuho maybe he'd touch him.

The point was simple. Bakuho was way too fucking strong in this setting.

Bakuho's key components in his strategy (meaning the overall aim) lied in his numbers and area advantage. Unless they had a jutsu that upset the way Bakuho controlled his zombies or drastically changed the area, there was very little hope in actually touching him. Attacking someone who specialized in not getting hit or reducing damage dealt wasn't smart, which made this obvious strategy super annoying.

So what did the Hyuuga do? First he realized that Inzei's chakra bombs were at his feet and this set him at high alert as the fireball flew to Bakuho. He flicked his wrist as if he had water on the tips of his fingers, causing three chakra needles to pour out and stab each spider1. This technique was a Hyuuga style one and used the Jyuuken2 on top of it to invade and destroy that composed the technique, in hopes to nullify it. This would definitely pin the spiders down so that they couldn't move, and therefore range was the only issue to worry about. Hiryuu was a Hyuuga and Inzei didn't understand they didn't need protection. Most people knew they had the rotation and eyes that could see anything.

Inzei was too much of a variable. Regardless of his help he had some options. 1. Take a loss and die. 2. Take a loss and not die. 3. Attack Yusuke and Hiryuu in the midst of battle right as they were about to win. Once Inzei inserted himself in the battle, all coordination had gone out the window unless Inzei could be properly bent to Yusuke and Hiryuu's total will. That much had literally flown (albeit not out of a window) out of question when Inzei attacked Yusuke with a warning shot.

Once Hiryuu pinned the spiders, he instantly trained his eyes on Bakuho's new place while beginning to move backwards in a half speed run. He noted a hand seal that caused all the bodies to move underground, and of course Hiryuu kept watch of them all. At this point -as stated previously- Hiryuu was ready to move faster.

Yusuke was no longer standing with feet on the floor and the bodies were aiming to surround Inzei as he could see underground Since Hiryuu had not been attacking he had been clearly spared but knew what to do. The moment the bodies would move to approach Inzei (before thy came out of the ground) Hiryuu would move as quick as possible from the position he was into the tunnel. By being on the left side of the tunnel wall, he would avoid the fat men who were closer to Inzei and Yusuke than they were to the left of the wall. He had to move into the darkness at least. All the while, once Hiryuu started moving his Byakugan allowed him to react to anything.

Well that hurt.

Yusuke was having a bad run of luck lately. There was the whole running gut first into the kunai back in the tournament, and now he was . . . Ow.

Yusuke had leapt away out of knee-jerk reaction more than anything else, and as a result, hadn’t necessarily been as up to date on his surroundings as he should have been. He’d be reconsidering that little fact in the future. Fortunately, he hadn’t jumped straight up. As he had intended for his back to be sticking to the ceiling, Yusuke had been hoping to essentially end up in a horizontal position parallel with the floor; if the ceiling were a bed, he would have ended up laying flat upon it. In this situation, he pretty much just fallen into bed. Only in this case, it wasn’t so much a fall as a crash and instead of bed it was a light fixture and a motherfucking brick ceiling. But you know, principles and all that.

The light fixture that ran through the center of the tunnel’s ceiling was what broke Yusuke’s ascent. Incidentally, it was probably the main thing that saved him from completely knocking himself out. The lights were suspended from the ceiling by metal poles on both ends, with a metal frame running along the back of the bulbs. Having not been centered within the tunnel, Yusuke had been left of the light fixture overhead. As a result, his right shoulder was what hit the light first.

Having expected to have more time to position himself, Yusuke had been canted at approximately a 45-degree angle relative to the floor instead of flat like he had hoped. The light fixture hit him in the meat of his shoulder, above his shoulder blade. Surprisingly he didn't shatter the light bulb. However, Yusuke’s jaw tightened as the edge of the metal frame dug deeply into his developed trapezius muscle. The frame wasn’t sharp enough to cut skin, it hadn’t made contact with bone, and the metal was fortunately not terribly sturdy, but it still hurt like hell. Yusuke would undoubtedly end up with a welt and a muscle knot that would hinder his right arm’s general strength. That was going to make things difficult.

Fortunately, hitting the light fixture alerted him to the fact something was wrong. Instinctively tucking in his chin, Yusuke’s left arm shot out to catch himself. Hitting the light fixture – the center of the fixture that he hit had bent in response to the boy’s body, but it had not broken; the poles holding the lights up were, after all, embedded into brick – with his right shoulder had tipped Yusuke’s entire body. Instead of flying straight back toward the ceiling as he had been, the light fixture had provided enough resistance to turn Yusuke’s frame toward his left; he was tilted.

His left hand and foot hit the ceiling first9, Yusuke intentionally reaching back to stop his ascent. The same strength10 that had made his jump so fast also made catching himself somewhat easier. It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows (more like brick and bruises), but it wasn’t the worst possible situation. Tucking his chin and tightening his neck kept his head from whipping back into the brick and catching himself with his arm and leg made his crash that much lessened.  Yusuke’s arm and leg slowed his ascent and the light fixture had tipped him off but it didn’t change the fact that Yusuke was going to hit brick on his back-left side. There were very few graceful ways to do that. Still, Yusuke was going to try.

Yusuke’s left palm and left foot had hit the ceiling simultaneously. His palm was flat against the ceiling, as was his foot, with his knee bent and quads flexed. The next part of him to collide against the ceiling was his buttocks – all in all, a decent body part for this sort of thing. Muscle and fat would absorb most of the blow, and since it wasn’t such a small surface area, it wouldn’t turn into a knot like his shoulder would. The following part of Yusuke to hit was the back of his left ribcage. That part was not so good. In addition to the bones, it knocked the air right out of him.

By the time his shoulder was meeting the wall his right foot had caught up to him and placed itself flat against the ceiling, catching the rest of his body. While the description had been piecemeal, the brutal truth was that it all occurred fast and dirty; asking Yusuke, he would have had a hard time specifically explaining what hit first and where. His right arm, due to his shoulder’s injury, hadn’t been available to catch him; it hung limp down toward the ground below.

All in all: knotted shoulder that would make punching or throwing difficult (he could likely still sign, but his normally powerful arm was now slightly weaker than a regular ninja’s), sore butt, and bruised (possibly cracked) ribs. By the time he had caught himself, Yusuke was gasping for air, desperately trying to make up for the wind he had just lost. Terrified, surprised, and panicked, Yusuke would need a few seconds to figure out what had just fucking happened to him. Yusuke wasn’t going to be running anywhere full speed in the near future.

He wasn’t out of the fight, but he was certainly out of it for now. Yusuke watched as the bodies beneath him moved toward Inzei, and our Uchiha protagonist was sadly comfortable with that arrangement; the less attention on him the better. Still, his eyes scanned his environment dutifully as he rested against the ceiling, boasting a bit more color than previously11. Amidst all of the chaos, his kekkei genkai had instinctually awakened in response to Yusuke’s sudden pain and danger. Yusuke's head was positioned toward the room and he need only bring his head up to peer inside; however, given his position on the lower ceiling and Bakuho's extreme distance within the atrium, it was unclear whether the two would be able to see each other and if Yusuke would be able to inspect what exactly the fire blast had done to him. Regardless, it hadn't done much -- Yusuke could tell from the bodies below that Bakuho was still alive. That was less than ideal.

The Sharingan, albeit a rather injured and stupid version of it, had entered the fight.

The situation had taken a turn for the worse, whether it was Bakuho's or Inzei's they would soon find out. The two fat men turned around preparing to face Inzei as the dirt1 began to shift again. This technique was already used once, this time on a larger scale. Inzei in response quickly signed the hand seals to a signature escape jutsu2. As soon as the bodies rose Inzei was fully underground. He traveled quickly ten meters behind his previous location. If the bodies made a circle five meters in diameter then Inzei was seven from the edge of the circle.

As soon as he popped up he was already working out a battle strategy. Imitating his previous combination attack with Yusuke seemed to work nicely. His hands moved from muscle memory to make the seals to summon an ally3. His hands touched the ground and in a puff of smoke a giant lion appeared. By this time the corpses, without Bakuho's trained eye on them. Would only start to react to Inzei's presence. Without him being able to clearly see Inzei in the tunnel's darkness, the corpses wouldn't react quickly enough.

"Why have you-?"

"Fire. Use Endan. We need to purge these corpses now. Trust me."

Senshu looked at Inzei skeptically as he started to inhale air through his powerful jaws. The human king's hands were tired now with all the seals he was preforming but he needed to do this. Now the corpses were within four meters from the closest one. Inzei inhaled deeply as Senshu unleashed a large ball of fire4 comparable to Yusuke's. Inzei molded his chakra as he exhaled while yelling towards his new found allies, unaware of his spiders being sabotaged.

"Yusuke, Move!"

The gust of wind came like a force of nature5. It repeated the same process as it did with Yusuke and Inzei. The firestorm now engulfed and incinerated the corpses. Perhaps only the fat ones would survive with slight mobility (What little they had to start with) if recalled in time. However it was neigh impossible for Bakuho to know what Inzei was planning. He would be too busy with the Uchiha and Hyuuga duo in the room with him. His army of corpses would be reduced to nothing effectively making this fight into a three on one.

What of Yusuke? Why he would be fine on the ceiling. Yusuke had either plenty of time to move or to hide deeper into the corner of the ceiling avoiding an unnecessary tan. The jutsu would go a full twenty meters, thirteen of those in the tunnel with the final seven crashing into the room. It's size would be dwarfed down to three meters in the room but it would be at its full five meter size outside in the tunnel. It's width roughly five meters as well, making this truly a second coming of firestorm Jesus.

Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] EmptyTue 10 Feb 2015, 5:40 am

As the light above them shattered a result stemming from Lucy's attempt to perform a rather 'mad hop' which was in turn done to avoid Tweedledee and Tweedledum , both of whom lacked the intelligence (although one might argue that they were still marginally smarter than their original opponent who had opted to commit a rather hostile attack on a light) to figure out why it had suddenly went dark or even look up to find Lucy and opted instead to continue their blind rush with a speed equal to their second chosen target, the one Bakuho had dubbed as 'Dead'.

Instilled with some degree of life through Bakuho's own variation of the original of Shikon no Jutsu and manipulated largely independent from the mad doctor himself as a result of the seal, the bodies acted on their own, mimicking a living opponent as was the original intent of the technique.1 As part of Bakuho's command, the main goal of the bodies was to serve as well... a cluster fuck; intending to first, either harm or confuse any opponents that might attack their creator or second, stop any of the said opponents from escaping.

Tweedledee and Tweedledum had already begun rushing Dead as soon as their counterparts had risen from the ground, thus they caught site of the hand signs as soon as they closed half the distance2 between their original position and where their target had initially stood3.

Thankfully their master's technique allowed for a faster ascent4 and as Dead finished his hand seals and sunk into the ground.

The two behemoths groaned out in unison. A sound which here meant something like "He's escaping, block the exit."

The bodies nor Bakuho had no knowledge as to where their target had went (beyond simply underground) and thus, given that they were acting largely on their own accord and mostly independent of Bakuho's control, opted not to find another target (even though one was clearly to the left and another above them) and chose instead to enact the second half of their 'programming', to stop any from escaping.

Despite being witness to Bakuho's crazy rambling and the roaring sound of a fireball, the tunnel was ill prepared for the sound that immediately followed the two giants groan. The whole tide of corpses (including the three that limped or crawled along as their bodies only kept moving by chakra) ran towards the ladder down to the tunnel. The sheer running steps of the two giants causing the walls to tremble.

The tide was not faster than those who had invested themselves in the training of speed (much like Lucy & Kinky 2.0 had obviously done if Bakuho's observations were anything to go by) they would be equal speed to anyone without (again sans the select few cripples) and thus they would match the speed of their target if he was attempting to make a getaway. Further given that several of the bodies spawned behind their would-be target they would obviously reach the end point of the tunnel faster than those at the front of the crowd.

Nevertheless, as the herd approximately approached the ten meter distance down the tunnel, Dead would suddenly rise from the ground, unfortunately directly in the center of the crowd of corpses and likely to be trampled unless they stopped; thereby interrupting any offensive action he may have wished to perform.

As soon as Bakuho had used his perceptive abilities5 to determine that Kinky 2.0 had launched no hostile offense towards him and instead opted to remove himself from the fray by a further distance, the light exploded and cut off half the light to that brief three meter section, dimming it as the result of one of the lengthy bulbs being broken.

His attention snapped then to Lucy, his would-be betrothed (assuming a corpse could be married in attempt to ward of the sin of the sodomy that the doctor intended to inflict upon it) and he took a single step in his long stride, removing himself from the crevice only the briefest of moments before he began to close the distance between them at his top speed to a single meter. With the same instance as his first movement, Bakuho's hand snapped down to his kit and quickly outward again in a rapid motion, launching five Shurken6 into the tunnel, their path curving slightly with the motion of his throw as they were aimed to intersect Lucy's movements.

Even during his charge however, the aged doctor kept his wits about him and was ready to evade if needed.

PostSubject: Re: Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] EmptyWed 11 Feb 2015, 7:07 am

Once the light fixture went out, Hiryuu saw an opportunity to attack Bakuho. Apart of him wanted to jump in fangs bearing, to slice him to bits with his sword. He soon realized that it wouldn’t do much to surprise him as Bakuho was surprisingly nimble. So instead of backing up a considerable range once Yusuke went to flight school, Hiryuu had decided that slowing his backwards motion was the best. He had been about three and a half meters away from Yusuke at the time, avoiding anything that might have caused him any type of harm.

When the light fixture went out and the lights were dim, Hiryuu could clearly see Bakuho preparing himself to attack Yusuke by running up using his full speed. Being in range of the technique, Hiryuu thrust his palm1 at Bakuho has he tried to close the distance on Yusuke. Once his palm technique went right for Bakuho, he was certain of a hit as he had the advantage of dimness. The dim light didn't do much to hide him, but it was clear that Bakuho's attention (or at least to our imaginary audience) would be more focused on Yusuke who was changing chandeliers.

Even if it had been only a split second, Hiryuu timed for that moment when his attention was divided on Yusuke at one meter away from Yusuke's position. As far as he was concerned, Bakuho's analytical prowess was limited to his eyes, and thus the stronger or weaker his eyes were the more his perceptive abilities strengthened or faded. Bakuho could react, but not to an invisible technique the size of his center of mass that was insanely fast2. There was nothing to 'dodge'.

To make matters worse for Bakuho, he thrust his palm at him but not in a manner which caused his whole body to move. He simply, and quickly extended his arm forward, making use of his shoulder. His kimono worked here as well, to hide most of his movement under the fabrics. The only issue with this attack is that it aimed when Bakuho wasn't looking directly at Hiryuu, and therefore it wasn't aimed to really save Yusuke. Once the technique was out, Hiryuu would wait for a confirmation or lack there of and continue on.

Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] EmptyThu 12 Feb 2015, 5:00 am

Prodigious eyesight had its perks.

Yusuke observed Bakuho’s actions from his elevated vantage point simply enough. With the Sharingan active and Bakuho still basked in the room’s light – Yusuke’s position was, comparatively, dim. Hiryuu’s even moreso. – nothing Bakuho did was difficult to follow. Moving in response to it, however, was a different story.

Bakuho threw his shuriken early into his movement, just after having stepped out of his hidey hole. Intending to intercept a falling Uchiha, Yusuke’s Spider-Man impression would make the bulk of Bakuho’s throw miss him entirely. By remaining on the ceiling, Yusuke was out of harm’s way, and his perspicacious (thesauruses are fun!) doujutsu afforded him the clarity to notice the lack of tags or wire. Given the way this fight had progressed, however, Yusuke opted for safety nevertheless; if he remained perfectly still, two of the five shuriken would get a little too close for comfort.

Yusuke reached over to his left with both his arm and leg and simply dragged himself approximately a foot and a half over. His back still firmly in contact with the ceiling, the maneuver was relatively lackluster for a ninja of Yusuke’s physical prowess, but he was still recovering from his run in with the ceiling. A few more moments and he’d likely have his wits about him, but for now, the less movement he had to engage in the better.

Yusuke’s drag moved him out of the shuriken’s path entirely. The storm of metal would fly off into the tunnel, hopefully only to hit some of Bakuho’s fatter corpses that were off chasing Inzei. Despite having avoided Bakuho’s metal blast, the pedophiliac physician had been intent on trying to close the distance between the pair. That was less than ideal. Yusuke wasn’t sure how he was going to contend against—

Then Hiryuu’s Air Palm happened.

The sudden blast of chakra startled even Yusuke who hadn’t seen it coming. Whether it hit Bakuho or not, it would likely distract him enough for Yusuke to take a quick inventory of his surroundings – wouldn’t want one of those pesky corpses sneaking up on him from behind – and then return his focus to the necrophiliac. Yusuke’s principle goal was survival. He was, much to his dismay, in a position of weakness; you couldn’t do much from a position of weakness. If Bakuho were still an immediate threat, Yusuke’s focus would be on defense. He’d do what he could to keep tabs on his rear – fortunately most of those corpses didn’t exactly move quietly; the ones that didn’t rumble the entire tunnel had an obnoxious groaning habit – while ensuring no more threats took him by surprise from the front. He wasn’t back in full fighting shape yet; he needed some more time to recuperate from the ceiling’s unforgiving height.

Should Bakuho find himself temporarily overwhelmed, however, Yusuke would take a different course of action. It was entirely possible the doctor would be as surprised as Yusuke by Hiryuu’s efforts and be hit, and supposing he was (or if it forced him into a precarious dodging position), there was a decent shot Hiryuu would continue his line of attack. Supposing Yusuke had some time alone to himself where no one was trying to blow up him, skewer him, eat him, or fondle him, he’d do what he could in his weakened state: he’d call in reinforcements.

Yusuke’s right arm wasn’t exactly paralyzed, but it did hurt to move. Fortunately, it didn’t take much shoulder movement for a string of handseals. Biting the flesh on his left thumb, Yusuke would throw together a series of seals and place his palm against the ceiling’s surface. From his bleeding finger a fuuin erupted, covering a small, darkened portion of the brick in an ornate seal11. And in a quiet burst of smoke, a new figure would appear beside Yusuke, hanging upside down from his arm. Given the guest’s coloring and size, it was entirely possible (indeed, it was what Yusuke was trying/hoping for, his efforts would be no doubt bolstered by whatever distractions Inzei and Hiryuu could cook up) Bakuho wouldn’t notice his entrance at all.

From the darkness, while Yusuke continued to catch his breath, danger lurked.

Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] Something Twisted [Smoke and Mirrors Combat Topic] EmptyFri 13 Feb 2015, 6:08 am

The hoard of zombies was a sound that was unique and unmistakable. But then again so was the sound of ten corpses running across the floor. Inzei heard (probably felt the damn thing too) hoard of corpses sprinting towards the end of the tunnel as he began to reach his end point. He stopped seven meters from where he planned to emerge and went back towards the room1.

Traveling underground was quite useful. He was able to avoid any and all foes without them being aware of his existence. Bakuho was completely oblivious what happened to Inzei giving him free reign. He stuck hands into his pouch as he traveled back towards the room. A sound rang out, unknown to Inzei it was Hiryuu's air palm, that made the king assume the worst. His hands molded out two clay snakes2 as he emerged at the entrance to the room.

The freshly snakes missing from his hand. Underground, unknown to anyone expect their creator, the snakes burrowed towards Bakuho's current position. Each was a meter long and it wouldn't take them long to reach where he was. Once they arrived they would break out of the earth and wrap around the mad man's legs. They would detonate immediately, easily fractures both shins. If Bakuho had ever played any sports, he'd know that fractured shins meant you couldn't move. However if the snakes somehow managed to get avoided, as unlikely as it was, they would re-burrow themselves for later. Inzei took note of the surroundings around him3, even the spiders pinned to the ground. He'd question it later, opting for ignorance instead of anger.

His body was primed and ready for any incoming attacks. With the hoard of corpses at the end of the tunnel; practically nothing threatened the trio. Inzei however as a precaution moved himself out of the door way to avoid a fate similar to Yusuke's. The dim lighting was a result of that and they wanted to avoid everyone except the hyuuga being blind.

After careful consideration and discussion with the remaining participants of this CM and due to conflicts with time and responsibilities, it has been decided that the thread will close as follows.

Having been trapped in his own actions, Inzei was trampled to death by the hoard of zombies.

Hiryuu in a valiant effort attempted but failed to rescue Yusuke before making to make his escape.

Bakuho kept the scrolls and Yusuke as his prisoner.

Topic is concluded and can be submitted for Evaluation.
