Mission Title: Stand Alone
Mission Type: Custom
Mission Location: Rain Country
Shinobi Requirement: Chuunin
Mission Rank: B
Mission Objective: A group of Konoha shinobi are stationed within the Rain Country to track down a missing shinobi from the Leaf Village. The shinobi has been targeting officials and politicians using long-range genjutsu techniques. By controlling people from afar, the shinobi controls civilians and forces them to attack key political targets in their offices or on the streets. Reports also go to mention that the spots move in a random order and are almost impossible to track. Since you possess the eyesight which will help them break the case, you have been recruited to catch the terrorist in the act and allow the stationed group of chuunin to bring the missing shinobi to justice.

"I know where he is."

Hiryuu's mind shook violently, fear gripped his brain and the blood in his body rushed around his head. A headache craned its ugly body out of hells gate and walked in his mind, crippling the boy in a pain. He went forward on his knees, grabbing the sides of his head with both hands. His fingers were white to the knuckle with tension, a panicked attempt to strip the pain away. Each knee began to wobble and shake until he could stomach it no more, until all of his body screamed out for release. He cried silently.

"This is what it feels like for the others."

A voice swam in his head, fondling his private thoughts and prodding inside of his brain. Had his brain been able to recognize pain he might've been knocked out by now, but instead he waited on the precipice of unconsciousness looking out into the abyss of blackness. The others? Who were they? Despite the torment he figured it out.

The Branch Family.

Soon the lights that flashed in his head subsided and Hiryuu grew weak. His heart beat up and down between his lungs and throat, gasping for air as if it were his first breath. A finger turned into a hand and reached for his ear piece radio. Rummaging through the pockets in his kimono he reached for the piece of equipment and managed to flip through a few channels until he got to a Leaf Village only frequency - or at least one he hoped was private. A distress signal coded for Leaf Village ears only went out and Hiryuu faded out of consciousness.

As his mind waded in and out of the darkness he felt him self being moved for the faintest of moments. A face covered by the night, the streak of metal illuminating the Konoha headband and a the softness of something under his back.

Warmth touched his body all over, then wind against his skin chilled him like a blade at the throat. Hiryuu snapped awake and his Byakugan flared to life. The world all around him for 150 meters popped into his vision. Three shinobi laid out in sleeping backs a few meters next to him. A forest. They were next to a fire. All of the wildlife in the area that he could see for 100 meters was barely existent. A shinobi looked out on a perch some 80 meters away, eyeing outwards as a scout. No one had noticed Hiryuu was awake.

Hiryuu didn't remember receiving any type of information about a mission besides the one he was on for Yusuke. Were these guys here to help him find Yusuke? He hadn't sent a message of distress out asking for help. This team was here for another reason currently unknown to him. As silently as possible, Hiryuu slipped into his dried clothes which were folded beside him on top of his weapons.

He began to stretch the robe around his back when his katana clinked at his waist and one of the shinobi woke up.

"Hey!"

The other rustled slowly from his slumber but by that time Hiryuu was already on the move. As fast as his feet could muster, he ran in the opposite direction of the scout. Hiryuu took towards the trees of the forest, away from the campsite into the depths of dark green foliage. Not only was the brush in this area of the forest considerably thick, the tree tops were hard to run through, a canopy of wildlife nestled in the branches Hiryuu so rudely interrupted.

"Hey wait!"

Hiryuu stepped on a branch the size of a coffee table and pressed off to the next tree. Arms braced in front of him, he tackled each thicket with all the strength he could muster. Vines and leaves snapped back, scratching his arms in light blood and torn skin. Hiryuu's intensity grew. The distance between them increased until one shouted out a jutsu and Hiryuu's ankles were no longer under his control.

Wrestling for his freedom, Hiryuu's foot slipped out from under him. His hands flailed for a jagged branch full of sharp bark. Latching on with a death grip, the supple flesh of the inside of his hands teethed against the tree bark as he fought for control. There was no time to stay here, Konoha or not. Hiryuu had to go. Despite being a strong as Yusuke was, his effort to remain glued to the branch was admirable but he soon failed. Two Konoha ninja blinked next to him, one holding the wire responsible for his injury and the other half naked in nothing but his pants breathing heavily.

"Why are you running from us?!"

Hiryuu said nothing, his hair veiled his eyes as he held his head low. No use in more running. Yusuke was missing, he needed to find him before he returned back to the Leaf Village.

"I, I... Dont know."

Each shinobi looked at each other, back at Hiryuu and back at each other.

"Well, we've been looking for you. You've been assigned to a mission."

Hiryuu remained still as the shinobi pulled a piece of paper from his pocket.

"We got word you were coming this way to perform a capture mission. Whether or not your mission has been completed or not is no use to us, but we need your help."

For some reason they didn't know anything about Yusuke. Hiryuu looked up at the paper in front of him. A bloody hand took the mission letter as he read it through and through. Handing it back to the shinobi, they released him from his binds and allowed him to stand up right. Hiryuu brushed the dirt and leaves from his kimono, smoothing his jumbled clothing out and tying his hair back up. Time to make face.

"The target in the mission I'm on can assume the faces of allies. I'm sorry."

The shirtless one brightened up, smiling as the trio turned towards camp.

"No problem. Just to confirm though, you're Hiryuu Hyuuga correct?"

"Yes."

"Didn't think you'd be so young."

That's right, he forgot. The mission rank was approved for Chuunin or higher, yet Hiryuu was only thirteen years old. He'd hate to think that his father had some play in this. Was this was way for his father to test him? Some time of live training exercise? Hiryuu assumed so. He'd been training ever since the tender young age of three. It seemed like this mission had his fathers tarred cigarette fingers all over it.

After a few hours, they trekked through the shrubbery, slashing and hacking their way with katana or kunai in hand. As barbaric as it looked, the forest here was clearly not man made or altered in anyway. Fallen trees were streaked with lightning strikes from storms, and were rotting away to give life to the new. Animals and bugs were sheltered here to the empty innards of a tree that once stood as a beacon. They pressed on until camp came into view where the last remaining member took point.

"The hell happened?"

"Oh nothing, just spooked him. Turns out this is our guy."

The white blue haired superior sized up Hiryuu with his frozen eyes, of course in disbelief. He however, stomached his protest and dealt with it as was evidenced of an open mouth ready to call them out.

"Yeah, he's young we know," the shirtless one spoke.

Hiryuu spoke up, questioning their location.

"I need to get back to the Rain Country, and from there the Leaf Village. Please inform me on the situation as to why you're here."

"Well, first of all we're just outside the Rain Country. As per the mission request, we've been tracking a high priority target and we came out here to find evidence of smuggling by said target. We can't put a pin on his location so we've been exhausting every means to find him or her in and outside of this country. But it's impossible. We never got word of the other team coming to support us, and we were the strike team. We only managed to arrive first since we were already close to this location for other business."

Hiryuu's brow troubled itself, eyes and all tightening in question.

"Just how long have you, no... when's the last time you've been behind Leaf Village walls?"

The boys kicked rocks, rubbed the back of their heads and looked uncertain about how would answer. Their blue colored superior spoke first.

"A month or two maybe."

So many questions could be asked. Why had the Hokage approved such a long stay outside of village walls? Wasn't that risky? Who'd they take orders from? How'd they receive orders? Hiryuu however wasn't so sure that the Hokage was at work here, there's no way someone of his ...nature... would approve such a thing.

"Let's get back to the Rain Country and do some recon.."

Maybe later...

A day later, Hiryuu was in full command of the strike team by way of the all powerful Byakugan. They'd shared information each other and their abilities, and Hiryuu was in control of a powerful team of Senju who had the ability to bring almost any group to their knees. No wonder they'd been outside of the village for so long. Their leader - Batou had given full command after a private conversation. They exchanged information about things at home, and once finding out who Hiryuu's father was, control was relinquished to the Hyuuga.

Inside of a high class bar, the team cloaked themselves in the crowd and remained in contact with radios. Hiryuu sat a table flowered with the preparations for a good meal. As expected at a high class bar, there was the capacity for a sit down meal. Menu’s and other animites were also surrounded by the table, along with flowery live plants and bonsai kept in fertile plant soil. As nice of a place it was, Hiryuu felt a certain uncomfort here. The amount of people walking back and forth between their tables and the bar were unsettling. This was the perfect place for the terrorist to attack.

As soon as the thought came into his mind, Hiryuu felt a flush feeling come over him, as if a wave of darkness reset the bright sky. One of the bar tenders began to jitter, his shoulder twitched uncontrollably, causing him to drop a glass. The shattering startled everyone near him, silencing the area. As he bent out of vision to pick it up, the strike team prepped ready, waiting.

The bartender came up with a broken shard of glass in hand, aiming it directly at his own neck. Females screamed out as men broke away from the table, in fear. His face began to morph and shake, twisting at the sight of his own demise. The strike team jumped from their tables to arrest him, until he began shouting.

“DONT MOVE!”

All three men were armed to the teeth, poised to attack. Hiryuu waited for a brief moment, eyeing the situation calmly. Something was off.

“Its not fair! We work so hard to fight the corporate greed and you constantly steal from us!! The hard middle class who works for pennies on the dollar, yet you steal from them! Why?!”

The deadly shard of glass was brought directly to his neck, blood driping. All members of the audience shrieked, but the cut was shallow.

“From now on anyone that gets caught--”

Hiryuu began to piece it together. He was fighting the terrorist! How had he forgotten so easily? His mind went into overdrive as to why he couldn't remember, why he was so captivated by the bartender. Then he realized.

“Kai!”

Muttering the release of genjutsu to himself, his mind cleared the effects that had first came over him. Someone using this level of genjutsu had to be exceptionally strong. Hiryuu flared his Byakugan, looking at all the chakra in the area. Everyone inside of the room, including his team was under the influence of genjutsu. He could see a massive trail of chakra pointing to the highest building outside of the room, and using his vision in all of its power he could see beyond the roof and walls into the building above. There a young man sat in a chair still maintaining the genjutsu. Hiryuu only had moment to act.

Springing up from his spot Hiryuu, ran towards his strike team and freed them all from the genjutsu, swiping them with a touch. As soon as they realized they were free, Hiryuu was already outside, clambering up the wall with target insight. Placing his feet on the walls, he pushed up with chakra brimming at his soles. A blue blur floated up to the top of the building where he continued.

“Hurry he's on the move!”

Hiryuu had hoped maybe the target was going to stay put, but as soon as he was over casting he instantly began to move. The chase was on.

“What’s his position?”

Hiryuu ducked under clothing strung out on a roof top, sliding until he could bring his feet in front of him. Stepping up, he switched his momentum unto his legs, jumping off into the sky on the next rooftop. Before he could speak, the target burst out of a hotel window, sparking shards of glass signifying his position.

“Fucking finally!”

The team had been chasing this bastard unsuccessfully for months. Even if they broke free of the genjutsu, the range of his talents left them without a clue as where to begin. Hiryuu being here would be just what they needed to hand him over to the law. In thought of that, they sped right along with the thirteen year old for capture.

After a few minutes of chasing the target, the Strike Team took control. Once they were in range, they took a B Formation in which put two in front and two in the rear. Being only ten meters off from the intended target, they all jumped onto the next rooftop while simultaneously forming the same handsigns. As they landed, they pressed both hands into the rooftop causing the ground around them to light up with chakra. Feeling the danger the terrorist went into overdrive. A massive tree ripped through the rooftop with a single branch whipping out to his location, wrapping up around his ankles. With a twist and flick of his wrist, the shinobi took a kunai and cut the branch, back on his feet as he continued to run on, HIryuu the only one in pursuit.

“Lets go! Why are you all stopping?”

It soon became plain as day. The branch that he cut off had not been completely removed. The bit at his ankle continued to constrict him, wrapping him up slowly until it became unmanageable. Tiny little thorns began to prod his entire body, coating him in a bloody mess as the black haired terrorist fell over and cried out in pain.

“No one gets away from a Senju”

As he struggled with the binds that left him bloody, his body began to warp uncontrollably, and the feeling of the genjutsu fell over them all. The strike team was instantly caught once more, leaving Hiryuu’s eyes the only ones aware of the illusion. Instead of breaking everyone free, Hiryuu let it happen.

As expected, the brows of the strike team began to rise and tighten as their jutsu suddenly disintegrated into nothing. The terrorist spoke up.

“You almost caught me, but you won’t stop me from bringing justice to this country and then the Leaf Village! I will have my-”

Hiryuu stuck two fingers right at the base of his throat, pressuring a single point with his Byakugan active.

“Not again. You won’t escape so easily. Before I let you go, I want to know why you attacked me that night on the rooftop. Where is Yusuke?”

He spat directly into Hiryuu’s face, the slime of his saliva trickled down Hiryuu’s nose.

“Like I’ll tell you.”

In his frustration, HIryuu’s chakra flared, breaking the genjutsu before he could get a chance to attack the terrorist. The team shook their heads as the reeled from the genjutsu being cleared, looking down at the guy still caught in the binds of their jutsu. With one swift kick to the head, they knocked him out.

“I guess that’s everything. I’m glad you were here.”

Hiryuu would’ve thanked them and wished them safe travels but he had places to be. Yusuke nawas still out there somewhere, and in a flash of light, the Hyuuga went out for his friend.
