| INFORMATION SPECIALIST. For some ninja, just being physically capable isn’t enough. They like to use information to turn the tides in their conflicts, from diplomacy to blackmail or even to keep themselves out of harm’s way. These information specialists have a knack for gathering and analyzing information, and know the best ways to get what they need from their sources. They can find information in the most subtle ways - in casual conversation, and even from things most would consider useless chatter. Additionally, some become masters of interrogation, learning methods of torture and persuasion to get what they want out of their victims. In most cases, an information specialist will be seen as a valuable asset to any cause, and thus they are highly prized and are usually captured and interrogated before they are killed, as what they know can far exceed what’s written in even the most recently updated bingo books.
Information Specialists can come from anywhere - they can be village-nin using their expertise to keep their villages safe, or nukenin using the information they find to set up the perfect offense and defense. Either way, these shinobi are occasionally known to serve their own interests, even if they hail from one of the ninja villages. They guard their stores of information very closely.

| .Information Specialist.
- Exclusive Techniques:
Name: Dēta ga akiraka ni | Data Reveal Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m) Element: - Description: The user applies chakra to their ninja info card to reveal the data inscribed on it. This can only be done with a card that the user created, as the data responds exclusively to the creator’s chakra. Chakra Cost: 1 (1 per post)
Name: Dēta hibun | Data Inscription Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m) Element: - Restrictions: Any information inscribed must be applied for in the same fashion as personal bingo books. Using a ninja info card in place of a bingo book entry costs 1 AF (per card). Description: By applying chakra to the surface of a ninja info card, the user is able to inscribe information about a particular shinobi, which becomes invisible after a short period of time. This technique can also be used to revise the information on a card. Chakra Cost: 3 per card
Name: Saiko Denshin | Psycho Mind Transmission Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: - Description: By placing a hand on the target's head, the user will be able to enter the target's subconscious and extract any information needed, even if the target has forgotten it himself or has had it blocked. This is done by viewing the target’s past memories, but the user cannot pinpoint a specific one without going through the ones that precede the “destination”. Information blocked via the Mental Barricade technique takes time and focus to be accessed, requiring at least two ninja, but can be bypassed by a Master Illusionist. Those with the Keen Perception SC will be able sift through days worth of memories in a matter of moments, focusing on what they want while others must go through each memory in its entirety. It takes 1 post per snippet of information that they wish to retrieve, and the rate is doubled for those that have Keen perception (they can gather 2 snippets of information per post instead of only 1). One may not learn specific details such as secret clan jutsu through this method. As the victim is not disabled by this jutsu and can move freely, it must be performed on a willing participant, or the victim must be subdued (tied down, for example). Chakra Cost: 25
Name: Mentarubarikēdo | Mental Barricade Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: - Description: Using this technique, a ninja is able to forcefully block of memories to prevent them from being easily accessed through mind-reading techniques as well as preventing the target from recalling the information when affected by a truth serum. Barricades can only be placed while the user is viewing a memory via the Psycho Mind Transmission jutsu. The barricade can be bypassed by a skilled genjutsu user (Master Illusionist) more quickly than any other shinobi. Only the ninja that placed the barricade is able to permanently remove it. Chakra Cost: 25 per barricade
- Exclusive Summons:
Name: Kuchiyose: Atsukamashī buru | Summoning: Brazen Bull Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0-5m) Element: - Description: The user summons a giant iron contraption in the shape of a bull that closes around their opponent. Inside the bull, the level of heat increases by one rank every turn, beginning at D-rank and ending at A-rank. The heat inside is enough to cause severe burns, but not enough to kill unless the victim is left inside for at least 6 posts after the device reaches its maximum internal temperature. Chakra Cost: 15
Name: Kuchiyose: Aian Meiden | Summoning: Iron Maiden Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0-5m) Element: - Description: The user summons a giant iron contraption in the shape of a maneki neko, which appears from underground. It is split down the middle and rises up around the opponent, closing around them. Chains keep the iron maiden closed and strapped to the ground. The inside walls are lined with sharp spikes, forcing the victim to stand upright. When the victim tires and is forced to lean on the walls for support, they will be wounded by the spikes. The wounds are at minimum 1-inch deep, increasing as the victim loses the ability to support themselves. There is very little room inside of the iron maiden, forcing the victim to keep their hands at their sides, making it difficult to form hand seals with both hands. As this is a summoning, there is no upkeep required, and the jutsu is dispelled at the user’s discretion. Chakra Cost: 25
Name: Kuchiyose: Gōmon Heya | Summoning: Torture Chamber Rank: S Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0-2m) Element: - Description: The user summons an iron torture chamber around themselves and their opponent. Chains wrap around the victim’s arms and legs before the walls, ceiling, and floor of the cage appear. There are devices on the floor near the user that can be used to tighten the chains around the victim’s arms and legs. There are 5 levels in total, with the first being default, level 5 able to shatter bones, and level 6 able to tear the victim’s limbs off within 3 posts. The chain pressure can only be increased by 1 level per post, and not within the post that the chamber is summoned. As this is a summoning, there is no upkeep required, and the jutsu is dispelled at the user’s discretion. Chakra Cost: 35 (15 per level)
- Exclusive Equipment:
Name: Ninja Info Cards (Blank) Rank: D Type: Supplementary Quantity: N/A Description: Blank cards with the kanji for ‘shinobi’ written on the back. With the application of chakra, the user can inscribe data about a shinobi onto the surface of the card, but the data will be hidden unless the user applies their own chakra to reveal it. This make these cards useless to those that might want to steal them, as the data is hidden shortly after the user stop applying their chakra to the card.
Name: Long-Range Microphone & Receiver Set Rank: D Type: Supplementary Quantity: 1 Description: The user places the microphone in a hidden location in order to listen in on conversations. The microphone is circular and only 2 cm in diameter, making it easy to conceal, and sends a signal to the receiver up to 15 miles away.
Name: Disappearing Ink Rank: D Type: Personal Quantity: One 100mL jar Description: This ink allows the user to leave hidden messages that are only revealed under certain circumstances (to be decided by the user upon registering this piece of equipment - examples include heat, moonlight, raiton chakra, etc).
Name: Corner Mirror Rank: D Type: Supplementary Quantity: 1 Description: A small mirror that is attached to a handle. As its name implies, this mirror is best suited for inconspicuously looking around corners.
Name: Binoculars Rank: D Type: Supplementary Quantity: 1 Description: A small pair of scopes used to see up to 5 miles away.
Name: Dead Drop Container Rank: C Type: Supplementary Quantity: 4 Description: These containers come in many shapes and sizes and are air-tight and waterproof. They can be stored in just about any environment without risk of damage, and can be painted to blend in with their surroundings, making them ideal for storing and hiding sensitive information or objects.

Mission Title: Finding New Contacts Mission Type: Profession - Information Specialist Mission Location: Anywhere Shinobi Requirement: B-Rank Mission Rank: B Mission Objective: For an information specialist, there’s no such thing as having too many contacts. This mission is fairly simple - you need to establish new contacts in a location of your choice. Whether that means taking somebody out to dinner or threatening them, it’s all up to you how to go about it. These contacts should be people that see a lot of what goes on around them, such as merchants or travelers. (Establishing a player character contact will grant a bonus reward)
Mission Title: Information Exchange Mission Type: Profession - Information Specialist Mission Location: Anywhere Shinobi Requirement: B-Rank Mission Rank: B Restrictions: Contact must be a player character. If the one performing the mission is a village nin, the contact must be a character of a different affiliation, as well. Mission Objective: Sometimes the only way to get new, interesting information is by exchanging knowledge with somebody else. Your job is to establish contact with somebody that might have some new information and get them to tell you something interesting. Since it’s an exchange, you’ll have to tell them something in return, but be wary of what you disclose to them as they might spread this information to others as well.
Mission Title: Updating the Ninja Records Mission Type: Profession - Information Specialist Mission Location: Village Shinobi Requirement: B-Rank Village Nin Mission Rank: A Mission Objective: All village nin have a record that is stored in the Administration building. It contains everything that is known about them, including what they specialize in and more. These files need to be updated from time to time, but the Kage already has enough work to do. As somebody that’s known to be good at dealing with these types of things, you’ve been asked to look through the village’s ninja files and mark anything that needs to be corrected or updated. You’ll have an assistant that might be able to help you if you’re not sure about something, but they probably don’t know much more than you do. Though this isn’t as exciting as being out in the field, it’s still an important task to keep the village running smoothly.
Mission Title: Bingo Book Update Mission Type: Profession - Information Specialist Mission Location: Anywhere Shinobi Requirement: A-Rank Village or Wanderer Nin Mission Rank: A-Rank Restrictions: Information must be about Player Characters Mission Objective: The Bingo Book, while usually a good source of information, can occasionally end up outdated when a ninja goes missing, gains notoriety, or is killed. For this reason, it needs to be updated every so often. Your job is to follow up on leads that may get you more updated information on new or existing bingo book entries.
Mission Title: Espionage Mission Type: Profession - Information Specialist Mission Location: Anywhere Shinobi Requirement: A-Rank Nukenin or Wanderer Nin Mission Rank: A Restrictions: Information must be about Player Characters Mission Objective: An anonymous client wishes to gather information about the shinobi of the main villages. They’re a stickler for details, so even small things like favorite foods could be useful. They won’t tell you what the information is for, but do your best to get information on at least 3 shinobi from a village of your choosing. If you already have some information on hand, then it can save you time. Be sure to write it all down clearly and hand deliver it to the contact once you think you have enough data. Too little, and things could get hairy.
