Naruto Chapter 497 [Spoilers]

Well all I can say is I didn't enjoy reading the action very much, I never do in the manga because it's hard to make out what's happening, so I prefer the anime in that aspect. But OMG, we get to meet Kushina! This is gonna be fucking epic. :3

Alright well, first let me just say: YES! SENNIN MODE VERSUS KYUUBI! HELL YEAH, I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!

Now, moving on, anyone else notice that all Naruto seems to get by way of an "upgrade" is a bigger and more bad-ass Rasengan? I mean seriously, that "Gargantuan Rasengan" was huge, bigger than Jiraiya's. Why can't he learn something new now, Rasengan is getting waaaaay too old. Now, when he learned Sennin Mode it was awesome, he proved this chapter how powerful he is in that mode. He freakin' punched a fifty foot tall fox back onto the ground. Now that was fun to watch. Bet the Kyuubi hasn't had a thrashing like that for a while. Smile

Seems like Naruto forgot about the Kyuubi being a "mass of hatred". He should have prepared for the chance of the Kyuubi stuffing him with his "hatred". Bit of an incautious act on his part. On the bright side, Kushina fans rejoice! She's back for a few chapters to give her baby boy a talkin' to. Funny how Naruto ends up meeting his parents anyway, don't you think? I wonder how Kushina was "set" to appear. Was it as the Kyuubi's hatred took over Naruto's resolve? And how the hell did they even set that up? Minato I'd understand seeing as he's the one who did the sealing, but Kushina? Ah well, another week's worth of waiting to find out.

For you lazy bums who don't want to or don't care enough to read my entire post, here's a summary: The chapter was awesome, best of the arc so far.

The mental side of things has always been Naruto's major weakness. Just like a good genjutsu, it will fuck him over something cronic.
