PostSubject: Theater of the Meat Puppets [EVENT MISSION] Theater of the Meat Puppets [EVENT MISSION] EmptyFri 03 Apr 2015, 12:25 am

Objective:

Location:

NPCs:

A crowd of men were moving forth. The men all wore stuffy costumes, ignoring the hot weather conditions. Their rotten faces with lifeless eyes and gapping, dribbling toothless mouths were covered by creepy, featureless white masks. They were all once people, people with free will, free minds, wishes, dreams, families and plans in life. However they all had one mistake in common – they were useful to the wrong man. A man known only as the “Shadow Man”. That man used their minds infecting them with strange suggestive thoughts that seemed too addictive to resist. Each of these elements of an army, sizing hundreds of people  did something for the Shadow Man.

However as time passed their bodies and their minds deteriorated, they became husks, rotten shells of the people they once were until they were no longer useful to the “Shadow Man”. And as barely living and barely functioning puppets, these men and women only lived in tubes, waiting for the “Shadow Man” to summon them from their tubes and give them commands. Their minds are but empty slates, waiting for the first suggestion to fill them, give them purpose again, make them human again. And while once again they live, they breathe and speak in unintelligible radio-like murmurs that only they understand, they’re not who they once were.

Their orders are not to become the Kage, not to make a family or to raise kids. Their orders are to beat, maim, kill people with as much violence as possible. Make the brothers in arms question their loyalty by seeing their brothers torn apart upon their very eyes, make the dead look so repulsive that the people who will find them will know better than to resist the Parabrahma in the future. They were not that well armed, they have only batons and simple ninja tools but Meat Puppets do not care unless ordered to care. They march, they stay vigilant, they run over anyone foolish enough to stand in their path. Such were the orders of the “Shadow Man”, these orders are now their life.

There is a mountain range in front, they will climb it, tumble through it for Meat Puppets do not tire unless ordered to tire. Their bodies do not feel pain, do not flinch unless ordered to flinch. They do not die for they are already just husks. Only upon being destroyed or having their heads severed from their bodies so that their mind is no longer in control of the body can they be put down but their enemies do not know that. People will stand in Meat Puppets’ way, people will die, their bodies will color these rocky plains red…

The Meat Puppets will enter the safe-house of their target, they will mercilessly beat anyone in their way, advisors, politicians, children, men and women, most severely of all – ninja. They do not care if they are stopped mid way, they fear not the death, they do not know what fear is and their enemies do. Meat Puppets are one, their enemies are not. They are people from all over the world, people told from their youth that other people are evil and want to hurt them. Enemy does not trust their closest brothers, Meat Puppets do not know trust. They do not know loyalty. They do not know anything, they act. How can one hope to stand in Meat Puppets’ way? They must have a death wish or not know what death is, that will all be fixed until the end of this day.

Meat Puppets march on…

Everyone was deathly quiet. It was understandable considering the situation they were all in. Not to mention the heat, jesus christ it was unbearable hot. Probably because this outfit is black and we are sitting in the hot sun out here. The black hyuuga thought to himself. His mask was donned fully and no one seemed to say anything about it. After all, there was an army marching in front of them. No one said a word for what Kirei assumed fear of being heard. However this wasn't the usual Kirei who would be timid just as them.

"So. Does anyone else agree their fashion sense makes as much sense as a campfire underwater?"

Kirei didn't know any of these people and luckily they didn't know him. He was just some smart ass to them so he didn't have to worry about them talking behind his about. He surveyed the surrounding area as he tried to think about how to deal with the oncoming army. The team's current position was on a mountain to the side of the mountain directly in front of the army. If they didn't make a move they would be unnoticed as the mindless army would march on towards the safe house. The silence seemed to hang in the air for a moment until Kirei spoke up again.

"No? No one. Okay well I guess I'm the only one with a  sense of humor in this team."

Kirei squatted down near the edge of their mountain, straining his eyes to watch the army carefully. He knew not to activate his byakugan yet. It was still taxing on him not to mention he wouldn't be able to do anything. He was purely close quarters and this army was roughly thirty meters out and twenty below them. At the very least if one of the ninja had the affinity for earth they could stop them from climbing the mountain. Mindless unstoppable army or not, it would take them time to reach the mountain then climb it. It gave this team plenty of time to talk strategy. It also gave Kirei plenty of time to think of more jokes. After all, it 'd be a waste to not entertain an audience.

PostSubject: Re: Theater of the Meat Puppets [EVENT MISSION] Theater of the Meat Puppets [EVENT MISSION] EmptyMon 06 Apr 2015, 10:35 pm

Before she met up with her team, Akiko spawned a shadow clone making sure she was far enough from the compound to not been seen and in the dark of a small nearby cave. The goal of the clone was to make sure no sneak attacks happened against the Daimyo while others battled. She knew the other ninja could protect the lord but if this terrorist group was smart they would find ways to draw the stronger ninja away plus Akiko thought it would be interesting if she was there in some way to be the hero. The clone and the original looked towards each other understanding what the clones true objective was. The original handed the clone 2 explosive kunai and wrapped them with another 3 explosive notes each. It might help if the clone had non inert tags to use just in case. The clone shoved them into her pouch and Akiko handed the clone her hoodie and her white mask. Akiko had not worn the mask and hoodie in public and the one time she had the witnesses were killed. The clone donned the hoodie and mask while the original took a kunai and grabbed the clones hair. With a quick swipe, Akiko cut all but an inch of the clones blonde hair to help keep her identity hidden.  With a nod, the clone ran towards the safe house to hide nearby keeping her eyes out for any hidden surprises. With the look differing much from the original, it would be hard for most ninja to know it was her. Even if a sensory ninja did sense the clone, the ninja assembled did not know her chakra that well and if they did detect it, they might just feel a friendly presence near-by. The original, feeling confident that her clone was disguised well enough ran to the area where she was instructed to meet up with her team.

Today was going to be an interesting one to say the least. Akiko had been chosen and sent on a mission to defend the Daimyo, no doubt her father had something to do with her being there. This was an important mission and the teams assembled consisted of shinobi from both villages and even some criminals. Akiko sighed to herself as she thought. If the world went her way, then there would be no daimyo or feudal lords in the traditional sense. No more villages or kages to protect the nations they lived in. If she was older and more powerful, she may have been on the opposite side of this conflict but she knew deep down that she would not be the type to force others under her control. Usually she would have been happy to be apart of a mission such as this, especially with the opportunity to meet ninja from around the world but such a pleasant thought was replaced with the awe inspiring image of an army of a seemingly undead and mindless zombie horde making its way to overrun the safe house and all those inside.

They just marched forward, their eyes refusing to look around the enviroment. They only seemed to care about destroying their target. Akiko looked to her comrades to see their faces but it seemed everyone was slightly overwhelmed. Luckily for her, Jaki was apart of her team she helped calm her own nerves and hopefully her pressence did the same for him. She had heard of Valrouge Kurogane before but never actually had the pleasure of meeting him. His display at the tournament was hard to not note. With these Kumo ninja, two Konoha nin had also assembled. The kunoichi did not know their names really and had little intention to remember them. If they were good enough to be remembered they would show that potential here, today. She turned to Yoru, the Konoha captain waiting for orders but the other leaf ninja, Kirei, spoke first. An obvious attempt to lighten the mood.

Kirei wrote:
"So. Does anyone else agree their fashion sense makes as much sense as a campfire underwater?. . . . .No? No one. Okay well I guess I'm the only one with a  sense of humor in this team."

Akiko tilted her head lazily towards Kirei, "At least they get to die fitting in."

Her voice was calm. She didn't put much effort in speaking since her mind was spinning thinking of a way to stop the horde. The blonde girl could blow them up with her puraton but she knew she did not have the chakra or power to take them all out. Another unknown was how the meat puppets would move. Were they agile and able to think to protect their bodies or were they just meat shields. If a pit was made in front of them, would the fall into it and pile onto themselves to get out or would they jump or move around it. So many unknowns and not a whole lot of time to find out their habits. She looked towards Yoru then to Jaki before she spoke.

"I don't know about all yous guys, but I want to blow them all up into glorious little pieces. Like a pimple! . . . only with more puss. Or maybe crush them! Can any of you bring a mountain on top of their masky faces because a smashed army does sound cool." Her voice picked up its usually exuberance as her green eyes bounced from person to person.

Standing with his band of misfits Yoru looked down at the army that made its way towards the hideout. While Yoru was glad to have people on his side he was not happy to have people from another village with him. Yet in the face of the impending army he was going to have to be deal with his issues later. At the current moment he was going to have to deal with the army in black. Yoru was thankful that he had been given a small amount of information on his team members. The man with the mask was a Konoha shinobi, Yoru always had trouble trusting people with masks. Genin in rank the young man was a taijutsu specialist as well as a weapons user. Your could only hope the man was skilled with the weapons.

As for the other three Yoru was surprised to see that the information on them was more extensive than he would have expected. Starting with the blonde girl from Kumogakure the file had started with the name "Crunchy" as well as her rank. Below her name and rank were her specialties as well as her elements of proficiency. The first thing Yoru took notice of was her advanced element of puraton, having never seen that before Yoru was glad to see in quotations burns and explosions. With this girl it was going to be very interesting seeing what she would be capable of doing.

The next person on file was Shikigami Jaki, which Yoru was very happy to find that he had a real name rather than some odd nickname. However Yoru discovered the man was skilled in genjutsu and ninjutsu and had the elements of wind and earth. The only thing Yoru had to wonder was if the boy would be able to cast a large enough genjutsu against so many enemies.

The final person on file was another Kumo shinobi by the name of Valrouge Kurogane. While Yoru was glad to know that this person was a ninjutsu and a weapons user. Yet this person also had an advanced element of ice. Yoru was happy to know that so many of the people he had teamed up with him were capable of advanced elements. Yet at the same time it worried him that if the Kumogakure members decided to turn on them, Yoru and the Hyuuga may not be able to stand up to the three of them.

Yet now Yoru's train of thought was quickly interrupted by a comment made by the Hyuuga. Yoru couldn't laugh at the genin's joke as he was the captain of the team, yet when the Kumo girl made her comments of explosions and crushing them with mountains. While it would be nice if there was someone that could move mountains Yoru was not holding his breath. Gripping the sheath of his sword Yoru spoke to the members of his team, "Enough of the chatter." Looking at the members of his team over Yoru began to formulate his plan. "Kirei I want you to keep an eye out for the strongest chakra signature. The Sensory Corp. said that most of the army had near dead chakra signatures. Whichever has the highest chakra signature will undoubtedly be the leader." Yoru said while turning to the Kumo shinobi. "Now then I am going to set you up into teams and you are to stick together. Kurogane Kirei Shikigami the three of you will stick together. Crunchy you will be with me. Last standing order is if Kirei does find the person in charge, you are not to engage if you can avoid it. Do not get surrounded and watch each other's backs. I don't want any deaths on my head. We are heading out get ready." With that Yoru stood waiting for the others to get ready.

Theater of the Meat Puppets [EVENT MISSION] Kuro1_zps09b4c215
Protecting the World

The village was quite rowdy for it being the peak of dawn. Mothers walked their children to the academy while merchants were opening their stores to begin the workday. None of them knew of the opposing force that threatened to take away everything. The Kumogakure Chunin put on his mission attire before walking out his apartment door. For the first time since becoming a full-fledged ninja, he wasn’t sure if he would come back alive.

It was truly a mystery to the boy as to why he was selected to participate in this mission. It was an S rank assignment that was usually left to the Jonin, so why was he picked? Kuro knew that all of the villages were working together to stop the group known as the Parabrahma. There was even a peace agreement signed with the Nukenin, Something the Chunin could not completely understand. With the rage that he felt towards the criminals, he could never find himself working with them. Luckily, he was only assigned with members affiliated with a current village.

His teammates consisted of two ninja from Konohakagure, and two from his respective village. Shikigami, Jaki and a girl names Crunchy, two ninja that Kuro had never had a real chance to meet. The other two ninja who were from the other village also included their captain for this mission. While Kuro had never met any of his teammates before, he had a general idea of what they were capable of from the mission briefing.

After meeting with his group, the team stood on top of higher ground, watching the army slowly coming towards them. Their bodies seemed to be carrying them forward without a hint of life, as if they were being moved against their will. Kuro pitied them. Watching them come towards them gave him a new purpose in this mission. He didn’t just want to protect the lord of the lightning country as well as the rest of the ninja world, but save these people from the force that controlled them. He wanted to put them out of their misery.

Kuro turned to one of his teammates, the girl who otherwise called herself Crunchy and instantly remembered her from a few years ago when they both attended the academy. While he never got a chance to know her real name, he did remember the girl usually tended to avoid any interactions with the other students. Kuro had tried to get to know her once, but she just ignored him. He wondered if the girl would recognize him from that time long ago, and if she still tried to push people away. The Chunin stared with sad eyes for a slight moment before looking away towards the army ahead, now wasn’t the time to dwell on the past.

The red-eyed boy’s moment of reminiscence was followed by one of the leaf ninja’s cracking jokes of the lifeless being’s attire. Even though Kuro had little information of the heavy clothes boy, it didn’t stop him from loosing respect for him. They were being controlled against their own will, and would have to be killed without another chance of life. It was no laughing matter. Sadly, Crunchy had joined in on the jokes. Kuro turned to the captain and was pleased at least one of the members knew of the situation that they were in.

The captain’s orders came in and Kuro realized he was stuck with the two Genin of the group. While Kuro previously thought that he was not qualified for this mission, he couldn’t comprehend how these two Genin were. The threat that this army posed must not be that significant if they assigned two Genin to their group. That, or they were officially running out of ninja. With a last glimpse towards the incoming army, Kuro prepared himself to head down the cliff.

“Roger. Jaki, Kirei, let’s go.”

With that, Kuro headed down, free falling for a short while before he braced himself for impact. His knees bent and he found himself crouched on the floor. The Chuunin took a second before he stood back up and patted himself off. The cloak that he wore hid most of his body, but he could still feel the first that snuck it’s way on the fabric of his clothes. While he waited for his teammates, Kuro took a second to untie his headband from his blade’s sheath and tie it on his forehead. This was the first time he had ever worn his headband as a proper shinobi, and he felt like the current situation called for it. He was going to protect his home, no matter the cost. With that, Kuro began to make his way towards the approaching army.

Mod Post: Due to failing to post within 72 hours Jaki is skipped. His character simply failed to appear at the team gathering and can do so when his turn to post comes again after Elsa.

As far as your objective goes the army has noticed Elsa's daring approach and is rushing at him at a casual rushing pace wielding simple battons. The rest of the team can join in on the offensive before your teammate is surrounded.

"So it's that kinda party eh? Alright!"

As soon as Valrouge slid down the mountain side the dark skinned shinobi soon followed. Dust kicking up around him as he placed his hand on the kunai pouch that held his scroll. The scroll that contained his scroll and dagger. He pulled it out in one swift motion unrolling it from his left thigh to his right hand. In a puff of smoke the spear was within his hand and the scroll tucked safely back into his kunai pouch. Beneath the mask he was smiling smugly, he never got to all out. These were just mindless corpses from the report so beating on them wouldn't be too unethical. But the request their captain gave out was ignored by the hyuuga. Sadly, Kirei wouldn't look for the highest chakra signature. It wasn't something he wanted to do, regardless of how strong his leader was.

"Let's see how well you use that sword snowflake samurai!"

Kirei stood at Valrouge's side with a smug grin at his own joke. Silence hung in the air for a moment before the laughable hero spoke again.

"Get it? Cause you're white and your from Kumogakure. Not to mention you're a samurai which is unique for someone in Kumogakure cause they are only usually found in the land of... Oh forget it. Let's dance!"

Kirei's vision gave him full view of the entire army slowly approaching them. His only blind spot was behind him and even then there were no threats. He rushed into the army with his spear twirling around him. His proficiency in weapons wasn't amazing but it wasn't mediocre. His first move was to swing the base of it at a soldier's legs, easily dropping him to his face. On the back swing Kirei stabbed forward at the next soldier approaching him in an attempt to impale the mindless creature. No real regard given for the poor trapped souls. However despite his quick offense he kept his full attention around him. He was prepared to react to any sudden surprises.

Akiko nodded at Yoru and understood her orders. The blonde did not understand why she was going with the captain and what she was exactly to do but shrugged off the confusion. As long as she survived then she wouldn't complain. Kuro jumped off of the cliff side to engage the enemy head on, something the meat puppets took noticed of and changed their course to intercept the chunin. At the beginning of the operation, Akiko had some questions that needed to be answered regarding the horde. What where their skills and if possible, what jutsu can they use? How agile is the enemy? With they way they ran towards Kuro, Akiko got a good idea of their speed and the way they held the batons made her confident that she could evade them easily enough if needed.  She did not know how durable they were but she figured she will find out soon enough.

Kirei wrote:
"So it's that kinda party eh? Alright!"

The kunoichi turned her head to look at Kirei who already had begun to descend behind Kuro. Akiko shook her head; the boy had ignored Yoru's orders and had jumped head first to the fray. She wanted to get mad and tell Kirei that his actions could get everyone killed but instead turned back to Yoru with a smile, her emerald eyes as apathetic as always. "After you, my good sir."
---------------------------------------------------------------

The clone sat upon the cliff side with a good vantage view of the safe house mansion, a few other buildings, and most importantly some of the other battlefields. An explosion had been set off in a building a few miles away. Clone Akiko could not tell what building it was that got destroyed but she could tell that whatever events happened had calmed down a bit. Maybe other shinobi encountered a smaller group of enemies and the fight was decided in an instant. It was too far away to really feel like it was something the clone should help out with unlike the giant thudding that took place away from the fiery wreckage. She did not have the best view of what was going on over by the source of the rumbling but she thought she saw a glimpse of a giant monstrosity before it disappeared behind one of the mountainous peaks. She hopped it was on her side and nothing was going wrong. A bit closer to her, Akiko could see the horde of zombies move and sway. She could not see the battlefield clearly but she could make out the sounds and images of battle.

All this excitement just made the clone bored. All of this fun was happening away from her and instead of joining in on the fun, the clone was forced to watch for any funny business on the Daimyo's safe house. The girl gritted her teeth. The Daimyo was an agent of control. His only reason to exist is to govern and he wasn't even good at that. Akiko felt the terrorists attacked the Daiymo for this reason and she felt the other nations would be next. Even if the group won and their goals are met, they would not be any better at leading than the Daimyo. A group of control freaks to take the place of a control freak. Change like that will only lead to the same problems that was held before the attack. Either way, the Parabrahma and the greedy undeserving Daimyo had to be removed eventually if this world was to change for the better. Shaking such traitorous thoughts from her head, the clone leaped from her perch, loosing her vantage and headed towards the safe house. If something came to get him, the clone wanted to be sure she was close enough to help.

With a palm and a sigh Yoru watched as the Genin ran off into the middle of the battle. While it wasn't entirely against his orders he had wished that he would be a bit smarter about the combat. Yet now was not the point of worrying about it. As the blonde spoke with him Yoru let out yet another sigh and quickly said, "If that kid lives through this battle I'm going to kill him. Lets go." With that Yoru and Crunchy took off to the left. Yoru was making sure not to run to fast so that she could keep up with him. Ultimately the plan was fairly simple, Yoru and Crunchy would blast the army from the side while the other team would charge straight through. Yet now he was going to have to keep an eye out for someone who was not acting like the rest of the army.

As Yoru finally reached the location he wanted he looked over the army that continued it's march. From where Yoru was he could barely see the other team as they were making their way towards the army. Letting out a sigh Yoru felt that he was going to have to start things off very flashy. Yet he was going to have to get ready for the rest of the soldiers. Motioning to Crunchy Yoru spoke quickly, "Ok I want you to pick your strongest and most explosive jutsu you have. We are going to aim more to the rear and middle of the army. If everything works out in the way that I want not only will we thin out the troops but we will also force whomever is controlling the army to dodge the jutsu if he is out there. Either way things will work out for the better for us, So I will aim for the rear you aim for the middle and lets thin out some troops." Quickly flashing through the hand seals he needed Yoru created the jutsu he wanted. Taking in a deep breath Yoru aimed towards the rear of the army.

With a loud yell Yoru released the blast of his jutsu, "Dragon's Roar!" With the jutsu was released as a giant ball of fire. As the ball flew through the air Yoru reached for the bow that he kept on his back. Now all that was left was for the jutsu to hit and Crunchy to launch her own jutsu. Should the jutsu hit anything the devastation would be amazing.

Theater of the Meat Puppets [EVENT MISSION] Kuro1_zps09b4c215
Protect the Safehouse

The Chuunin finished dusting himself off by the time the covered up Konoha ninja landed near him. The boy’s joke fell quite flat since the color of Kuro’s skin was actually quite dark to be compared to that of a snowflake. He also didn’t really consider himself a samurai but it seemed to be quite common for the leaf ninja to think anyone who wielded a sword was seen to be one. The last leaf ninja Kuro encountered has believed he was a samurai as well, and also made very bad jokes.

“I think it’s best if we don’t speak.” Kuro said softly.

He thought it was rather unfortunate the group he got paired with. He didn’t doubt their skill due to there probably being a good explanation to why they were picked for this mission, but if he had to put up with more jokes while in the middle of combat, he damn might near drown the kid.

The red-eyed boy focused his views on the approaching army that had now spotted him and began to rush towards them. Kuro’s eyes filled with pity for the poor souls that were trapped like slaves in their own body. Kuro slowly slid his blade from underneath his cloak while forming a single hand sign. His eyes flicked towards the sky where clouds began to gather and unleashed snow. The dark frozen water crystals fell elegantly towards the ground, keeping their crystallized state in the humid conditions. Dark in color, they resembled ash instead of actual snow. Kirei charged ahead and Kuro followed closely behind, heading towards the incoming enemies on their left side.

With his free hand, Kuro grabbed the edge of his hilt and pulled it out in time to block and incoming blow from one of the enemies before driving his katana through his left eye. The mask that previously covered his face shattered revealing the surface of his skin. His mouth had no teeth and his skin was cut severely. Looking into the eyes of the lifeless creature caused Kuro to flinch in shock before he finally pulled is blade from out of the corpse. The Chunin was unsure of whether or not he killed the man, or if he had already been dead to begin with.

Another undead attacked unexpectedly, causing Kuro to barely block the blow. The baton met his right forearm, causing a flash of pain to run throughout his arm. Without hesitating, he brought his katana vertically across, removing the lifeless creature’s head clean off. It hit the ground hard near the first body that fell. The Chunin turned to face three more enemies that rushed towards him. Now focused, Kuro charged towards them. The first two enemies led the attack, swinging their weapons wildly through the air. Kuro leaped over them gracefully spinning to avoid the wild attack before landing in front of the lifeless body in the back. As gravity brought the boy back down, he untucked his blade to bring it down on the lifeless being. With the momentum built, the body was cut in two, dropping towards opposite sides. Kuro turned his body, bringing his sheath out in front of him just in time to block an incoming attack. He then used his katana to force its way under the boys chin, driving the blade through its skull. The last of the three came charging in. his body swayed from side to side, lifting his hand up and bringing his weapon down onto the Chunin. Kuro pulled his katana from the body he just destroyed before using it to slice the last lifeless body.

The Chunin stared at the corpses that lay at his feet before turning to the large army that still awaited him and his team. He was going to try his best to free every one of these souls from the grasp of whoever was controlling them. he place his sheath over his body, preparing for the next wave that came at him. He turned towards the masked boy who seemed to have taken care of his own set of bodies, and then viewed the giant fireball that was headed towards the army’s core. Looks like the battle to defend the safe house has officially commenced.

Sometimes short cuts were not labeled properly. A shinobi with origami paper wings fluttered over an unyielding terrain of dust and jagged rocks. There were rumors from the postal office that suggested a newly found short cut. Jaki had been waiting weeks to put the route to the test and he finally found a time to analyze the shortcut. Many were incapable of traveling through the shortcut due to the landscape; however, the Shikigami was not always apart of the ‘many’. The boy’s red eyes watched the skewers as he hovered only inches above them. A frown appeared upon his face as he realized two things. First, his route was much slower and secondly, this path was far more dangerous. The Shikigami immediately regretted experimenting but he had to continue; he knew he was going to be late. Hopefully he would not be dropped from the mission.
A light burst of speed showed his concern. He was ignorant of any details of the mission and he despised it. The boy felt like information was power and since he is coming into this mission with no information, then he practically is powerless. The feeling was dreadful. His head hung with a disappointing frown, unnerved as he crept up the mountain to the rendezvous.
His wings reached the pinnacle of the mountain and exposed the horizon. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped slightly; however, his egotistic smirk revealed itself. His ruby eyes surveyed the area. “ Oh? “ A relieved smile mixed with other confusing emotions followed. Mindless zombies surrounded a familiar blond shinobi that he knows fairly well. Regardless, his eyes peered on to gain more intelligence. This humans of an unknown origin marched with a chaotic aura. Even an untrained eye could notice it. Several shinobi were already fighting them. He knew that he should report to his commander. His right thumb pushed onto a device attached to his ear. “ Captain, this is Shikigami Jaki reporting for duty. Over. “ He stated loud and clearly over his radio. Hopefully the captain would receive the massage. He understood it might take awhile to hear a response. In the meantime, his arms both dropped down into his kunai pouch and latched his right hand latched onto four kunai and his left hand grabbed four explosive notes. It only took him a second to attach the explosive notes to the kunai. With a swift arm, he threw them down onto the battlefield. Another wave of kunai with attached explosive notes made their way down onto the battlefield. He completely exhausted all of his explosives. He felt like it would have been the best way to eliminate a majority of the enemy. Of course, he would not be able to activate until his own teammates are clear of the blast.
His right hand was itching to cause his damage. The adrenaline pumped through his veins and gave him power. Being on top of a mountaintop looking down onto a battlefield made him feel like a general. His own possessive personality was started to seem dark. Some might have questioned him if they could have seen his reaction to the power. Wide red eyes with a sly grin stuck to his face as he waited to blow bodies into limbs and life into death. Was this really what being a shinobi was about? How could this moment feel so…satisfying?
" I am ready for the clear! "

Mod Post: Seeing how there's no actual NPC to roleplay the members can reset the posting queue once it is done. Mod posts will only be made when the crowd changes tactics and it is supposed to be reflected in the members' posts.

The army has taken a significant hit from Yoru's jutsu, none of the Meat Puppets flinch or react to blows or are kept down by anything that does not cripple a man therefore most of attacks failed to take the enemy out:

Kirei: Attempts to strike at the Puppets' legs only wielded temporary success as the puppets rose back in fifteen or twenty seconds, stabs or blows to the body brought little success as the puppets only reacted to the blunt force of the stab and showed no reaction to pain or didn't flinch.

Yoru: the jutsu is fairly effective, some Puppets at the center of the impact radius are down and out. Those that had their legs or abdomen hurt by the explosion crawl around trying to hit people in the shins. A large number of Puppets were blown back by the explosion but got back up.

Elsa: Kuro's strikes to the head were highly effective in keeping the puppets down suggesting a possible weakness for decapitations and direct thrusts to the head.

Jaki: Similarly to Yoru some Puppets were taken out by direct damage to the head, most were either kept down and crawling making it more difficult to overlook everything, others stood back up and continued the assault.

Overall the army's strategy changes, instead of rushing they try to carefully attack one at a time while their comrades try to surround the opposing ninja and then overwhelm their perception and ability to evade everything at once.

Mod Post: Due to failure to post within 72 hours (and well beyond the reasonable time-frame given past that requirement), Kiseki's posting turn is skipped.

His character is surrounded and being overwhelmed by the Meat Puppets, if he or anyone else will not post within 48 hours and include helping him out in their post his character will be treated as [DEFEATED].

Other than that Locket is now allowed to post as if it was her turn.

Akiko looked over at Yoru and nodded with a smile, delight encompassing her. The captain seemed to have some knowledge of her abilities. Her eyes sparked to a bright yellow and her irises diminished in size as they swerved toward the battlefield. She bit her lip for a moment. Activating her puraton was more exciting than usual. She could feel her body tingle very specifically as the gas started to be produced. Akiko heard of puraton sickness which caused the function failure of organs, due to the puraton's harsh effects on the body. She new the symptoms well, the Kyokkou clan is filled with stories about this sort of thing. This new sensation might of been the start of the sickness at first. It was the beginning of the end. Her mind raced with worry before she decided that right now, she was more likely to get mauled by a zombambinoroony than get rejected for a kidney replacement. Puraton it is. Plus, somehow she really enjoyed the sensation it gave her. Akiko truly felt like she was one with her body. interconnected from toe to eyebrow. Ass to nose.

Starting slightly after Yoru, Akiko began hand signs.  She lifted her arms level to a group in the back, away from Yoru's aim. With a sudden  gust of breath, Yoru blasted a giant fireball into the air. It tore through the field until it exploded toward the back of the horde. After he released his, Akiko showed hers. A yellow ball of plasma quickly surged from her palms then blasted off towards the back of the army, a few several yards away. Akiko admired the dual orbs of light as they  to explode in bright energy but as she turned to Yoru for confirmation, her eyes noticed something. Over the cliff edge and on the front, someone seems to have rushed in. Akiko ignored Yoru for a moment as she focused a bit. It was a bit blurry but she saw that it was one of the Konoha ninja starting to get overwhelmed. She didn't really care about his life much. The blonde had no attachment to him but if his life ended here, it could mean the worse for their operation. Though no orders were given, she made a choice to do what she could.

" 'Scuse me." She said calmly

Her arm swung around, pushing Yoru out of her way as she crossed in front of him. She took a few more steps towards  the cliffs edged and prepared her jutsu.

"Thank you!" She said with a little more feroucity that was not heard in her voice before. Akiko wanted a better vantage point so she wouldn't accidentally blow her teammate apart. She aimed about 5m away from him and she hoped it would be enough. Hopefully it bought him enough time to get out of there and get out of his genin funk or for the horde to take more notice of the two people blasting apart their forces from up high.

As Yoru watched the enemies get blasted sky high he felt very proud at his skill. Yet even though he was able to take out a large number of the enemies he still needed to fight even more of he enemies. While it was true that he had allies with him, it didn't help that one of them was an idiot that didn't listen to the orders that he was given. At that moment the woman known as Crunchy pushed her way past Yoru. While Yoru took the sign and stepped back he knew full well that with the strength she put into her push Yoru wouldn't fall over. Taking a moment to watch the woman Yoru saw as she performed her clan jutsu. It was the first time he had seen something like this so it was absolutely amazing to him. Yet now was not the time to be watching her jutsu, forming the required hand sign Yoru created four clones of himself, all as solid and real as the original Yoru with the exception of his crimson word. Now the numbers of the team had increased which gave them a bit more of an advantage.

In perfect unison all of Yoru's clones reached onto their backs and pulled out their respective bows. Yet while the clones were pulling out their ranged weapons Yoru drew his favorite swords. Nodding to his clones Yoru dashed down towards the soldiers that were making their way towards them. While Yoru charged his enemies his clones stood in the rear and began raining arrows down on the soldiers. With perfect accuracy the soldiers in front of Yoru sprouted arrows from their foreheads. Now closer to the troops Yoru brought up his weapons and began to slash at the different soldier's heads. While Yoru was making moves against  the soldiers his clones would fire down at the mass of soldiers making their way to Yoru.

Theater of the Meat Puppets [EVENT MISSION] Kuro1_zps09b4c215
A Weak Spot?

The soulless bodies continue to make their way towards the small allied group. The fireball had struck the core of the army, sending some of the bodies aflame but still moving towards them. There were no sounds of agony or screams, but blissful silence as the flames ate away their body. Hearing the sounds of blades clashing over the roar of the flames, Kuro turned his attention to the boy who found himself surrounded by an army of the soulless beings. Pulling out three shuriken, Kuro launched them at the masked figures, aiming for their upper body.  The projectiles dug into the skin of the three beings who seemed unaffected from the attack, as if they had been hit by just air. The Chuunin took a moment to process what happened before a bright light erupted in Kirei’s general area.

Kuro squinted his eyes for a brief moment to the unexpected light. The outcome of the explosion left some of the lifeless bodies dismembered, yet they still struggled to get up. Kuro rushed to his friends aids, cutting his way through the enemies that stood between them.

“You alright?”

Kuro looked back and his face was in utter shock. Most of the enemies that he had stuck were getting back up and still moving towards their direction. To buy them some time, Kuro formed a set of hand seals with his free hand and prepared to release the sticky substance. Kuro let out the substance as it covered 20 square meters. The enemies that were approaching them stopped in their tracks, unable to move. Using the newfound time, the Chuunin began to analyze what had just occurred. The first few enemies he had faced has stayed down after he has struck them, but all the others who have been hit have managed to get back. The ones who lit up from the flame, the few who were struck by the shuriken and didn’t even manage to flinch, even those whose limbs were ripped off from the previous blast. They all managed to find a way to continue fighting.

“Hmm, could it be?”

Kuro pondered the possibility of a weakness to the soulless bodies. Kuro was beginning to believe that these beings did not feel pain and continued to fight until either their hearts stopped beating, or their brain was struck. In that was the case, his group would have to do a lot more than shoot giant fireballs and explosives if they wanted to stop the army. Kuro remained ready to fight, but couldn’t help but overhear his enemies murmuring an unknown language to one another. It was something that was quite odd, but he wouldn’t let that distract him. Without looking at Kirei

“Looks like it may be best if we work together."

Mod Post: Due to failing to put up a post in well over 72 hours Jaki is skipped.

His character is injured however due to the events in the [Shadow Man] topic where the puppetmaster was beaten the army collapses with no traces of life before they can deliver a finishing blow.

You guys can post up your exit posts, first half of them the army is still functional while on the second half you can wrap things up. Mission is pretty much successful, congratulations.

Akiko's eyes scanned the field. The fire and smoke from the explosions made the eerie battleground look like a cheery carnival. Sadly it was a haven for death and sorrow. The army surged forward readying an attack against her comrades. The konoha ninja seemed to have been helped enough but he still seemed to be frozen in place. Her view also allowed her to see Jaki falling into a similar situation as the leaf ninja.

"Dammit!" She exclaimed as she ran to a spot where she can fire off another plasma ball. Her hands began to sign as something strange began to happen. They showed no pain, but the army of meat puppets lurched forward before the entire army collasped onto the ground. Akiko stopped her hand seals and cocked her head to the side in confusion. They all seemed to have ended their attack.

"We won?" Akiko wanted to go down and check the fallen army up close but she was still apart of a team and instead waited for Yoru to give his orders. Either way, Akiko took a few steps away from the cliffs edge and brought her hands together to dispel her clone. She needed her full chakra just in case the dead army was a ploy.

Standing in the middle of the battlefield Yoru slashed his way through the army of puppets. Yet he was quickly surprised when all of the enemies fell to the ground dead. As he began looking around Yoru took stock of the enemies. While none of them were moving Yoru saw the other members of his team, nodding to his clones all of them made their ways off to the other members of the team to make sure that they were ok. While his clones were off making sure that his team was okay, Yoru began making his way through the mass of dead bodies.

While he was making his way through Yoru looked for any markings to show where they had come from. This many bodies were not something on the ground on a stroll through the woods, it had to come from somewhere which meant that someone was not only missing bodies but maybe family members as well. As Yoru made his way through he found no signs of the bodies origins. This only made him mad at the people they were fighting as these had been people. Yet in the end Yoru had no choice but to let out a sigh and regroup with his team members. As he dispelled his clones Yoru made his way to the other team members, Yoru was happy to see that none of them had been injured.

With the fact that none of the members of his team Yoru was happy to know that he had lead a defensive and not lost any of his team members. Now that he was back with the rest of his team Yoru waited for a sign from the command as to what they would be doing next.in the end he could only hope that the other teams had come out on top against their opponents.

Due to failing to put up posts for a long time Elsa's, Kiseki's and Jaki's exits will be considered proper once they post them up, other than that this mission will be treated as success and those that exited are allowed to ask for it to be approved.
