| As Yoru was approaching the village he could already tell that things were not perfect. In fact from what Yoru could see people were miserable. As was normal for people who take control when they are not wanted they break everything down. Then again Yoru was pretty sure that was why he had been called to this location to deal with this man. Yet the first thing he had to do was find a person to take charge when the current leader was offed. So the first thing he would have to do was visit the local tavern. Regardless on where he went Yoru learned that if you want information you visit the local tavern.
Upon entering the tavern Yoru was greeted to the usual smells that came from a tavern, smoke booze and vomit. As Yoru made his way to the bar he made a point to take his headband off. Last thing he needed was the man to know that there was a shinobi poking around his village. After poking his way through the small crowd Yoru sat at the bar and ordered a hot sake. It wasn't long until he was quickly served and the bartender took off after being paid. With that Yoru began to sip at his sake. No matter what people say taverns lead people to loosen their lips the more they drank.
It wasn't long until Yoru's belief was proven true when the group of men began to talk. "I'm telling hat we need to take out Hisagi the bastard murdered the previous chief. We all know it what is really stopping us from going in there and taking that man to the closes tree and giving him a rope tie?" One of the other men replied to his question, "You know what is keeping us from doing that is the army he has guarding him every day. Now unless you want to charge them and die you can be my guest but I am going to run into a sea of mercenaries. The only thing we can hope for is that he dies before this village is run into the ground." With that the man took a big swig from his drink. What they did not realize was that they had just given Yoru enough information to be able to move on the murderer. However the first thing Yoru was going to have to do was contact his employer.
Standing up from the bar Yoru motioned to the bartender, "Excuse me but I am looking for Gorō Nyūdō Masamune. I was told he could be found in this village." The bartender began to shake his head and spoke very quietly to the point that Yoru had to lean in to hear what he was saying. "Gorō Nyūdō Masamune is currently being held prisoner in the leader's dungeon. If you are any smart you would not go around throwing that name around here. Until Masamune completes the sword that the leader requested he will not be let out. If you are any smart you would get out of this village before the head learns about someone looking for him." Nodding and dropping a stack of money between the bartender's hands Yoru thanked him and made his way out of the tavern.
Yoru now knew what he had to do and it only made him sigh because it meant that the job just kept getting harder and harder. Yet it was just going to prove to get harder as Yoru stepped into the snow a group of men stood in Yoru's way. Looking at the group Yoru could see that they were very well armed and by the way that they were standing they knew full well how to use those weapons. Yet in this moment Yoru had to remain calm for if he were to just draw his weapon a whole lot more trouble than he really wanted to deal with. Pausing Yoru waited for the men to make a move or even say anything, thankfully Yoru didn't have to wait long before he leader of the group spoke up. "What is your business in this village stranger?" Yoru knew what was going on instantly. Either someone had spotted him and ratted him out or they did this to every visitor of the village in order to make sure that nobody hired a hero to kill the current village leader. It was at this moment Yoru was left with little choice, quickly throwing his hands into the air Yoru began to fake cowardice. "I-I'm sorry I didn't know I was in the wrong place. Oh god please don't hurt me. I am only here to speak with my master Gorō Nyūdō Masamune. I was told that he was living in this village. He had sent me a letter a month ago saying that he needed some help with a new project that he was working on so I came as fast as I could. You wouldn't happen to know where he is located would you fine gentlemen?" The entire time Yoru was talking the men began looking amongst themselves. It was at that moment the leader nodded and the men moved on Yoru and began to take all of his weapons. Everything was going according to his plan as they took everything he had and pocketed everything for themselves.
Once Yoru had been thoroughly cleaned out of all his weapons they began to take him away to a location that he did not know. While walking along Yoru thought of two places they were most likely going to take him. While he was sure they wouldn't just take him straight to Masamune. Yoru was more hoping that they would take him to the current village leader, if he knew where he was then the mission would be just a bit more easier. As Yoru was lead along they came to a large building located in the middle of the village. As they approached the building Yoru could see the kanji for snow clearly written onto the front of the building in brand new paint. In Yoru's mind he couldn't help but think of how the current village leader was trying to be like the other great nations by having the central building having the kanji of the country it resides in. as Yoru was lead into the building he couldn't help but feel nervous and excited at what was going to happen next. |

| As Yoru was brought into the office of the village leader he couldn't help but think that it reminded him a lot of the Hokage's office. As he was forced to sit down in the chair in front of a very large desk. While Yoru wasn't armed with weapons he was still a dangerous person. Yet to his luck the people around him did not know that. As he continued to sit in the chair Yoru began looking around the room for ways to exit the room in a hurry. Yet after a few moments a man entered the office and by the look of it this was the man that Yoru was looking for. By the looks of him Yoru could tell that this man was not all there. Yet in this point he was going to act weak until the time was perfect. Looking at the men in the room the man spoke, "So what is this boy's story? I know he isn't part of the village so he is no rebellious trash." At that point the leader spoke up, "This boy said that he is Masamune's student. I don't know if it is true but I still thought that we should bring him in and you decide what we should do with him." Letting out a sigh the man looked Yoru over.
With a chuckle the man spoke up, "This young man is no student of Masamune. Now I would like you to tell me who you really are, I can easily have my men here torture the answer out of you." Smiling Yoru began to talk, "Well I am a mighty warrior, I have been hired to save this village from your evil reign." It was at that point that the man began laughing only a crazy evil man was capable of doing. "I see and let me guess it was the villagers that hired you, or maybe it was that cowardly sword smith. What you don't seem to realize is that in this village I am god. With the army I have there is nothing that can stop me. Soon I will expand beyond this tiny village. First I will start with this tiny village but pretty soon I will be expanding beyond this one horse town. I will turn everyone into my slave. However you will not be there to see it as you will be executed." With that the man nodded to the man that took Yoru's sword.
At that moment Yoru could hear his sword being drawn, letting out a sigh Yoru waited until he heard the man move behind him. In an instant Yoru made a move spinning around on his feet and delivered a sharp palm strike to the man's nose straight up. With a loud crack of bone the man crumpled to pieces. Yet Yoru couldn't stop there as he grabbed his sword and slashed two of the mercenaries before they had a chance to react. Jumping over the desk Yoru grabbing the crazy man by the back of his neck. "Now then I do believe that you said you were god within this village. Yet here I am with my blade and your neck in my hands." Even though the man had acted high and mighty not so long ago now he was terrified. "Please don't hurt me I will give you whatever you want." Smiling wide Yoru spoke simply, "I would like you to tell me where I can find Masamune. He is the man that hired me after all." A look of anger crossed the man's face as he came to realize what had happened, yet he returned to being fearful at the thought of being killed. The man finally spoke up, "You can find him in the dungeon of this building." Smiling Yoru patted the side of the man's face. "Thank you so much for your help." With that Yoru jabbed his sword into the man's side ending his life. With that Yoru made his way out of the room to head to the dungeon. |

| As Yoru was making his way through the building he was having no trouble as he was not running into any mercenaries. Yet he was not having any trouble finding stairs that lead towards the dungeon. As he made his way don the stairs Yoru came to a large wooden door. He felt that there was no reason to play coy so balling his fist Yoru delivered a punch straight to the door blasting it off his hinges. Standing in the room were four men that now looked where the door had once been. Stepping into the room Yoru looked at all of the men in the room. "Well hello I am here to collect Masamune I was told that he was down here." Yoru said with a smile on his face. At that moment all four men grabbed their swords and began running straight for Yoru. Letting out a sigh Yoru gripped his blade as the men came at him. Moving towards the closest man Yoru swung his sword blocking his opponents sword. Holding his opponent's blade Yoru threw a punch directly at the man's chest. As his fist made contact with the man's ribcage the sound of breaking bones filled the air.
Moving to the side Yoru moved on to the next person and within moments cut the man to pieces. With two enemies down Yoru was ready to fight the next person. Quickly dodging the two men that attacked at the same time Yoru was forced to plan his moves exactly if he is to come out on top. Performing a back flip Yoru grabbed one of the dead mercenary's swords. Quickly landing back on his feet with two swords in his hands. With that Yoru charged both of the remaining men, though he now had two blades Yoru still had to be careful against his opponents. As he bobbed and weaved around his opponent's blades Yoru also blocked their attacks with his swords. As Yoru took two more steps back he moved around a dead body which one of his opponents failed to notice it and avoid it. As such when he took a step forward he tripped over the body giving Yoru the opening he needed to deliver two slashes to the man's neck and stomach. Yet by taking the chance to kill that man it left him open for the other man to come along and attack Yoru. Quickly moving to barely avoided being slashed in half, as Yoru finished the roll he threw the sword aimed right at his opponent's neck. With a small level of luck Yoru stabbed the man in the chest causing the man to collapse to the ground.
Looking around the room Yoru saw that he had taken out four people in a matter of moments. Yet now was not the time for him to be looking around a now empty room. Running through the only remaining door Yoru started to make his way down the hallway. It wasn't long until Yoru came upon another door standing in his way but with another strong punch Yoru shattered the wood with no problem. Now in a hall Yoru was that was a dead end yet he could hear the ring of metal on metal from the end of the hall. Slowly making his way down the hall Yoru watched for any signs of danger, yet to his luck there was not a person to be found until he finally reached the end of the hall. Sitting in a chair tapping his hammer against his anvil not really doing any work yet when he looked up at Yoru he was suddenly extremely surprised. Yet Yoru raised his hand to calm the blacksmith, "Easy I am here to get you out of here. My name is Yamamoto Yoru and I am with Konoha." Nodding the smith stood to stand while Yoru pulled the bars from the wall.
"Well it seems my job is mostly done Masamune-san. Do you know who will be taking charge of the village now that the leader is dead?" Yoru asked as they walked through the village. Letting out a sigh the old smith shook his head, "Well a lot of the villagers have asked me to take charge but I don't want the position. If there should be anyone in charge of the village it would have to of be the murdered leader's son. He is very intelligent and would make a great leader however so many people think that he is too young. With youth you tend to make more mistakes but when you are leader those mistakes can cost lives." Nodding Yoru knew what the old smith was talking about.
It was at that moment Yoru came up with a good idea, "Well Masamune-san I have an idea. You think that he would be good for the position and everyone wants you to take the job. Why don't you have it that he takes over yet you serve as an advisor. Many great leaders who started off young have been known to have great advisors. If we do it like that everyone should be happy with the way things are set up." Nodding Yoru and the blacksmith went off to begin with the set ups of putting the young man into the position of leader. Over the next couple days Yoru and the blacksmith prepared the young man to become leader as well as the entire village.
Thankfully for Yoru things were easy to set up for the new leader to take up his position. With the mission complete Yoru began making his way out of the village. |
