| The Story"The things that made me what I am"
The Story Arcs Chuunin Arc:
- Clan Prodigy:
[The King in the Mountains] - Hiruzen meets the new Raikage and is not entirely impressed after the past Raikage had left the village in shambles, allowing an economical breakdown to happen. When the Raikage asked all those present if they wanted to spar against him to see what he could do, Hiruzen was the only person confident enough to accept the challenge. [Hiruzen vs Kagetora] - Having taken up the offer for a spar, Hiruzen does the best he can against the Raikage of Kumogakure. Managing to get in a couple of minor burn wounds and several cuts of varying depth, he eventually loses against the superior fire power of the Raikage. Realizing just how much he is still lacking as a shinobi, he sets out in order to gain more power. [New Chapter] - Hiruzen arrives in the Hidden Leaf village and starts looking around the place in preparation for his journey to the Fire Temple. Meeting with one of Konoha's Sennin, the two engage in conversation, one that rapidly spins out of control once a couple of assumptions are made in regards to his personality. Taking offense, the Uchiha ends the conversation and leaves. [Hollowed Spirit] - Hiruzen and Mana meet up again in order to move to the Fire Temple, both having a different reason in mind. Still being mad about the things she said about him, he had not been very talkative throughout their hike, though things eventually change and lead to the two shinobi bonding over something and burying the hatchet. [Beneficium Accipere] - After making up, Hiruzen and Mana reach the Fire Temple and are allowed access. While Mana is not allowed to go in, Hiruzen tells one of the veteran monks where to stick his bad attitude before entering the chamber beneath the temple itself. As soon as he manages to decipher the glyphs on the walls, he wastes no time in leaving the place so as to not run into the same monk again. [What can you do?] - While training to keep himself from getting rusty, he meets up with Meiko, a woman that seems to know ways in which he can better his aim with projectile weaponry. Figuring out that she is a weapon's specialist, he uses the things she points out in order to make his aim that much more lethal. Thanking her for her help, he returns to the clan compound to spend some more time with his family. [Battle Royale] - Hiruzen, after going to the Fire Temple and preparing for his journey back to the Hidden Cloud, meets up with Kiyomi and Meiko as promised so they can have their spar. While not being up for it at first and having some qualms with it, he eventually does what Meiko and Kiyomi had intended for him to do. Finding fighting quite invigorating, he beats the two other Chuunin and goes back to packing his stuff. [What else can you do?] - After the three-way spar with the two other Konoha Chuunin, Hiruzen sets out to find Meiko. Asking her to train him in the art of swords just like she had helped him better his aim with projectile weapons, the two start training. Doing everything Meiko tells him to, he eventually figures out a faster way to do it by using Shadow Clones and the Sharingan. Greatly increasing the process and cutting down the time required to learn how to master the basics, the two part ways. [Senju & Uchiha] - Before heading back to the land of lightning, Hiruzen wants to collect some gifts to bring home to his family. While on his way, he meets another shinobi along the way who hailed from the Senju Clan. Having nothing better to do while eating, the Uchiha approaches the one that was talking to a tree. Starting a conversation about whether Hiruzen hated the Senju, Hiruzen could not say that he inherited the part of his clan that held on to ancient grudges and family feuds. After a short conversation, they both go their own way again.
Jounin Arc:
- Sword of Kumogakure:
[Personal Growth] - On the way back to the land of lightning, Hiruzen ponders on all of the things he has gained during his stay in the land of fire, or more accurately, the Hidden Leaf village. The moment he gets back to the village, he learns of a group of people that are preparing to attack. Having not been back for more than an hour, he is already sent out on a mission again. During these days, Hiruzen also figures out that there have been several terrorist attacks in the village, aimed at the founding clans, including the Uchiha clan. All things considered, his dislike towards the Hidden Cloud and the people in charge of it's security and well being grow rapidly. [Lithium] - Shortly after returning from a mission that forced him to kill for the first time since the mission that ended up costing him his friends, his sensei and his father. Ever since he had fought the Raikage, he learned that he had to get a lot stronger, which was something he thought he did when he beat two Chuunin in battle. Having been close to dying that day, he returns to the Temple of Raijin in order to gain access to the Gift of the Hermit Group, something he believes will make him far stronger than before. Encountering a lot of things from his past, present and future in a psychedelic dreamscape, Hiruzen manages to make it to the top of the Kyousei mountain and unlock his new powers. [Homecoming] - Now that he had gotten a taste of what life was like in one of the other large shinobi villages, it made him both sad and angry that things were going the way they were in the Hidden Cloud. When passing through the village, he senses two people that he had never sensed before with fair levels of chakra. Forced to use his Sharingan just to make the first speak and to make the second one know his place, he manages to find out a couple of things about a potentially dangerous group of people from Kirigakure. Now that he had what he wanted, he left the two to do what they wanted. Soon, he would combine all of the information he had gathered and check in with the Raikage. [Duke Nukem] - Finally managing to figure out where the people that had been involved in terrorist attacks on several of the founding clans and murdering his team when he was still a Genin, he goes in on his own to make sure that they would never do anything bad ever again. While it was not part of the original mission, Hiruzen went in to make sure that they all died for the sins they had committed and the years of his life that they had ruined. Using the pirates he was supposed to take in and their ship as a way in, Hiruzen blew the pirates and the assassin organization known as the Prajñã to hell. Finally getting the closure he wanted, he returns to the Hidden Cloud. Unfortunately, it seemed that the people he had killed were so far beyond recognition. The people sent in to retrieve the bodies were not able to identify them, and due to the sheer amount of corpses and the lack of information on Hiruzen's "mission", many believe that Hiruzen killed innocent people while trying to pass it off as a mission for the sake of the village, earning him the nickname "Mashin Shōdo". [Afternoon Shadow] - Entering the Raikage's office in order to tell him a couple of the things he has managed to figure out about a potential threat from the Hidden Mist and the land of water and to see whether or not Shuiro will help him get better with the art of weaponry, the Raikage starts to question Hiruzen's loyalty to the village. After having to listen to the man put him in his place while making one assumption about his lack of loyalty to the village after the other, Hiruzen finally snaps. His team, his sensei and his father that had all died due to a lack of information, a mistake on the part of the Council, no one believing him when he brought up the group of terrorists acting in the Hidden Cloud and people blaming him for murdering innocent people, the questioning of his loyalty finally pushed him over the edge. He was no longer going to be a weapon to be wielded at the whims of the council and the Raikage. [Freedom] - After burning down his house to set an example for the people of the village that he was not coming back and making it clear to himself that he had nothing to return to, Hiruzen simply walks out of the village. Fully prepared to deal with any and all that might try to stop him in his stride, it seemed that no one in the village had the balls to try and stop him. And so it was that Hiruzen became a wandering shinobi with no affiliation to anyone other than himself.
Ghost of the Uchiha Arc:
- Densetsu no Hiruzen:
[Turning In] - While on his own, Hiruzen learns that the best way to make money on the road would be by taking in people on the Bingo Book. Wearing a disguise to keep any of the people that might have been sent after him from the land of lightning from discovering him, he becomes known to many as the Strider. Having taken a couple of men in for their bounties already, he accidentily comes across a man murdering several others on the main road. Deciding to take him in, the man attacks him too. After a short, one sided battle in two different locations, Hiruzen takes in the man known as Yoru Yamamoto and turns him in at the Hidden Leaf while claiming a bounty he can live on for at least a few years. [Counting Stars] - After taking in the wanted fugitive and claiming his bounty, Hiruzen checks to see if the diner he went to some years ago was still open. Since it was quite late already, it was not much of a shock to him that the place was in fact closed. Meeting with a young girl that was resting in the same place as the Senju he had met years ago during his first visit to the Hidden Leaf, the two have a short conversation about what it means to be a village shinobi and what changes when you become a wandering shinobi. Warning her about the dangers of the world on the other side of the village walls, he dismisses some of her personal problems as teenage rants before leaving on his way to the land of Iron. [Snake, meet Uchiha] - On his way to the land of iron from the Hidden Leaf, Hiruzen comes across someone breaking a gravestone just so he could plant his big ass on it by using it as a make-shift seat. Getting pissed about this, Hiruzen orders him to fix what he broke if he did not want to get broken too. While he does as he says, he still tells Hiruzen that he will be fighting him. Not being amused at all, Hiruzen steals one of his jutsu while leaving behind a shadow clone to fight the man as the real Hiruzen heads towards the land of lightning. Easily beating his opponent, he leaves the man to wallow in his own weakness as opposed to doing what he was going to do, kill him or imprison him. Several months after their initial encounter, Hiruzen learns that the one he let go was responsible for killing one of his distant cousins from the Hidden Leaf, a Genin no less. At that time, he decides that he would kill him the next time they'd meet. [A Warm Welcome] - Arriving in the land of Iron, Hiruzen runs into some trouble at the gate of the Iron Temple. Upon showing them his invitation letter, the two guardians at the gate suddenly attack him with chakra infused weaponry. Having trouble penetrating their armor and staying ahead of them while refraining from using any Ninjutsu that might potentially kill them, it turns out that the entire attack was just a test from the Shogun to see what he was dealing with. Allowing him to enter the Iron Temple and train with them, there are a lot of the Samurai that do not want a shinobi among their ranks, least of all a member of the Uchiha Clan. Fighting his way through a lot of setbacks and personal attacks similar to those he had faced as a shinobi of the Hidden Cloud, he manages to come out on top when the Iron Shogun decides to personally oversee his training. [Class Dismissed] - As months go by, Hiruzen trains as hard as he can to increase his physical prowess while training with the Shogun himself. Increasing Hiruzen's perception, teaching him the in's and out's about Iaido and Kendo, increasing his mobility, evasive maneuvers and acrobatics and even a code of honor, Hiruzen is finally ready to be released into the world again. While he had not been able to get the Raikage to teach him how to properly wield a sword as a pro, he had now gotten similar or even better results by training under the greatest swordsman in existence. Before he leaves for the mainland again, Hiruzen tries to find the Sanrō Temple. Unfortunately for him, he fails in this task and has to return home only with information and a new set of skills and weapons. [I want it that way] - While wandering through the land of lightning after picking up some groceries from a small nearby town, he encounters a man trying to rob innocent people. After taking him in and binding him in a Genjutsu, Mana and Meiko find him thanks to Mana's sensory abilities. Due to them not having met since he left the Hidden Leaf the first time, neither Meiko nor Mana knew how much he had changed. While Meiko seemed content, Mana did not feel like accepting that he was still the same Hiruzen she had met several years ago. Finding themselves on opposite sides as far as their argument goes, Hiruzen agrees to help the Shinobi World in their struggle against the Parabrahma threat. [Gaishū Isshoku] - Shortly after agreeing to help with the threat to the world leaders, Hiruzen asks both Mana and Meiko if they want to fight him as a means of showing him what they were capable of while at the same time proving to them how strong he was now. While Mana refused to fight, Meiko decided to throw everything she had at him in an all out spar. It was only at a time like this that he could tell just how powerful he had become by picking his own path in life. Back when they were still Chuunin, he had quite a hard time fighting her and Kiyomi, but now, it seemed that his personal growth had been far greater than that of Meiko. At the end of the spar, Hiruzen had managed to pick up some useful techniques for his own personal use. [Never Forget the Fundamentals] - A day after his spar with Meiko, Hiruzen starts to roam the land of lightning again. While roaming, he notices a young shinobi training by himself, far from the safety of the village. Asking the kid whether he wants to test his skills on a living target, the two spar against one another using only weapons. While things go well for a couple of minutes, the kid decides to break off in the middle of an attack and drop his weapon, resulting in Hiruzen nearly chopping off his arm. Saving the kid from drowning as a result of his own stupidity, he leaves the kid to fend for himself now that he was no longer in any direct danger that might cost him his life. [The Shadow Man] - A couple of days after his meeting with Meiko and Mana, Hiruzen receives word that the Parabrahma have shown up in the land of lightning and are planning their assault. Sent on his way with a member of the KYOBU, neither one of them really wants to talk to the other. When the enemy known as Tenma Yamanaka enters the canyon, Hiruzen enters the canyon to confront him. After a few minutes of discussion, Tenma manages to convince Hiruzen of quite some things that he is doing right now that make no sense. Taking more than his fair share of the Yamanaka's words to heart, he pushes on to make sure he will not get away while the KYOBU goes in for the kill. [Clash at the Barracks] - While the Shadow clone Hiruzen left behind in the the canyon was still fighting Tenma Yamanaka, the real Hiruzen reached the place Tenma gestured at when he mentioned a stronger fighter than himself. By the time he arrived, he found out that the target, Niku, had already sustained considerable damage but managed to keep all of the attackers at bay. Throwing his own genius into the mix, he forced her out of the mines and into the open where he and Mana took her down. While first insisting on ending her life to keep her from being a prisoner in her own body for the rest of her life, he eventually agrees with the majority that it would be best to see what information she might have left in her. When Rukasu arrives, Hiruzen threatens him, telling him that he will die once the Parabrahma threat is taken out of the equation. Finding that most people aside from Mana have no love for the murderous criminal, he takes his leave to keep himself from going ballistic.
Secrets Unearthed Arc:
- Kodaibito no Himitsu:
[To Steal from Thieves] - Now that everything regarding the Parabrahma had settled down after the death and the capture of two of their people, Hiruzen visited Shakai Owari for information in regards to relics and other objects or places that could help him in the unraveling the secrets of the ancients. Learning that the Order of Order of Jurōjin had a ship on route to the Fisherman's port in order to stock up on supplies and deliver a relic that was supposedly going to the Daimyou's personal collection, he made sure that this relic would instead go to his own collection in order to further his research. [Indexing] - After a lot of thinking about the ancient civilization and the birth of the era of war that came after it, Hiruzen addresses the scientific side of the Gift of the Hermit group, he learns that the relic was merely used to disguise an old sphere holding information about the world as it was before the era of warring states and the founding of countries and villages. Marking several specific locations, Hiruzen knows that there are several places he will need to visit in order to further his research.
PS: This particular part of the Plot page may be horribly outdated due to being a major pain in the ass to work on.

| The Plot"The things I still need to take care of..." Tetsuo's Quest: (Active) One of the things Hiruzen has been working on for about as long as he has been a shinobi has been helping his grandfather. Around the time at which he became a Chuunin, his grandfather sent him on a journey to the temple of Raijin because he knew how much the deaths of his friends from Team 4 and his father Seto were eating at him. Believing that it would be a good idea for the boy to fill his free time with something useful as opposed to just sitting around and pondering, Hiruzen received an audience with the head of the temple known as Guroda, son of Hideo. Hideo and Tetsuo had been friends ever since they were children, and it was for that reason that the two of them had started working on a personal endeavor. Once he had become the next head of the temple by succeeding his father, Hideo had been given the key to the closed room beneath the temple that was known to all the monks in the temple as the glyph room.
Working for many years on figuring out what the glyphs meant, the two men became older and older as they made great leaps towards understanding the meaning of the glyphs etched into the ancient walls. By the time the two managed to work the glyphs into letters, numbers and individual words, they both had families and other duties that required their full attention. Hearing the full story from Guroda and being taken to a part of the library where Hideo and Tetsuo's work and journals had been stored, Hiruzen's clever mind allowed him to quickly learn all the content they had. After the hours he spent memorizing the letters, numbers and words they managed to decipher, Hiruzen went down into the temple in order to decipher the entire wall for his grandfather. Angered when he figured out that all of the words were seemingly put in at random, he returned home to give his grandfather the bad news.
A few weeks after Hiruzen became a Jounin, new developments were made that claimed that an equal chamber was hidden beneath the Fire Temple in the land of fire. Without saying a word to anyone but his grandfather, Hiruzen took several weeks off and journeyed to the land of fire to figure out whether this was true or not. Receiving clearance from the Fire Temple with thanks to Guroda calling in a favor, Hiruzen was welcomed as one of their own, even though his guide was not allowed to entered the temple grounds. Entering the place, he found the same kind of words again, including the fact that all the words seemed to have been entered in a random order of words without any apparent structure whatsoever. This time however, he was not alone in the temple and had someone point out that they might fall into place when used along with the words from the temple of Raijin. Doing as had been pointed out, everything finally started making sense and he knew the next place he had to check out by figuring out one of the many riddles that came up from the combined texts. Heading over to the land of Iron in order to find a temple that used to be one of the biggest in the shinobi world, he ended up with nothing to show for it.
Neither the local samurai nor the people living in the small towns seemed to know where this place might be. Finding no trace of the hidden temple, Hiruzen goes to the Iron Temple to see if they might have anything beneath their feet that resembled the chambers the fire temple and temple of Raijin had. Again, he was highly unlucky, only managing to get some pointers aiming at other countries, as well as an organization known as Order of Jurōjin. Learning that they are known for taking ancient artifacts and relics in the name of high placed gentlemen for the sake of auctioning them to the highest bidder, they have been put on the list of people Hiruzen will need to visit for the progression of his quest. So far, he has encountered one ship in the Fisherman's port known as the "Rakkī Shika", or Lucky Deer. The only thing he really managed to get out of it was a single relic of currently unknown origin or purpose. In the next days after taking the relic to his newest base under the Forest of Sanctuary, he figures out that the relic itself was merely a vessel holding a far more valuable object inside. Once it was activated by Hiruzen's chakra and made him carve a map with coordinates into the nearest wall, it fell apart in a black dust.
Now having coordinates requiring him to visit the land of Mountains, the land of Tea, the land of Birds, the land of Wind and finally the land of Whirlpools, it is up to him to figure out what place he will visit first in order to determine what is hidden there.
- Hiruzen's findings and theories:
- The Gift of the Hermit Group that acts as a source of power used by the Ninja Monks of the shinobi world that they believe comes through spiritual enlightenment is something Hiruzen believes to be a remnant of long forgotten civilization that predates the Era of Warring States and the founding of clans and villages by many hundreds or even thousands of years. He theorizes that the Hermit Chakra is in every person, that it is still in every living human being, just waiting to be unlocked, something only the Ninja Monks seem to be capable of. For this reason, the monks believe their power to come from a divine entity.
- All humans were at some point linked through their chakra in a way the Ninja Monks believe was of divine origin, though Hiruzen theorizes that this was merely a Ninjutsu cast by a powerful individual. Powerful monks once used this spiritual link to use the collective chakra in order to defend humanity from "Demons" that sought to sever this bond that allowed people to understand one another more easily. In his opinion, this severed bond is still present in the chakra system of people born in the present day and age, and that this is the origin of Hermit chakra.
- The monks in charge of protecting all those linked together got overzealous in their eradication of "demons", which turned out to be the exact same people they were tasked to protect that tried to harness the energy from the spiritual link in order to become powerful individuals. By striking them down with extreme prejudice, many saw the powers that could be attained when chakra was to be wielded as a weapon, eventually making more and more people sever the spiritual bond they shared until the monks were struck down, killed or cast away until nothing was left. This was effectively the birth of the period between the time of the ancients and the Era of Warring States when clans were formed and Ninjutsu were developed.
- Those monks that were not culled came together in various locations all over the world that was now in the hands of the first clans and those with the most wealth, they created temples in which they continued to uphold their own laws and religion. For years, they continued working on ways to leave their knowledge for the next generation, they were found out and forced to bury all of the things they worked so hard on to create. While some got killed again, those that got away settled into normal lives and had children of their own. Each of the generations that came after told their stories with slight deviations, continuing all the way to the present, creating the religions followed by the Ninja Monks of the present.
The Worm King's Demise: (Active) In his first year of living as a Wanderer, Hiruzen returned from the Hidden Leaf. On his way back to the land of lightning, he encountered someone that destroyed a gravestone someone put up for a loved one only so he could have a seat. Approaching the one responsible, he told him that he would make sure that he would go through a world of pain and would be taken in for whatever bounty there was on his head if he did not fix the damage he caused. While Hiruzen's request was partially fulfilled, the man identified himself as Rukasu, proclaiming himself as the Snake King. Challenging Hiruzen to a fight, he had warned him about the obvious difference in their power. At the time, it was clear to him that the guy had a lot of bad deeds on his plate and a potentially disturbed mindset, meaning he could possibly do harm to people if he did not turn him in to the authorities. However, having recently taken a runaway nin to the Hidden Leaf, turning in yet another might seem suspicious.
Two years later, Hiruzen got word from some lowlife smugglers, criminals and other filth during his stay in the settlement of Shakai Owari, about one of his distant cousins having been killed by someone who apparently took pride in the slaying of Genin. The moment the words Snake King dropped, he knew that he had made a bad decision when he had allowed the man to live freely. Now, he had taken out on one of his distant relatives what he could not take out on Hiruzen. Infuriated by this news, he almost incinerated the entire criminal settlement in anger, but made the choice to bottle up his anger for when he met up with him again. The teachings of the Ninja Monks and Samurai in the various temples he had visited had allowed him a good deal of self control, so an outburst on people that were not directly to blame for his misfortunes would be a bad thing. Moving on from that, he ventured into the land of lightning yet again. Sooner or later, he would find the arrogant son of a bitch and reduce him to ash.
After being conscripted into the services of the Ninja World itself as a means of defeating the Parabrahma, he eventually beat his opponent and moved on to find the next with his sensory abilities. Upon finding the second member of the organization, he also found the chakra signature he remembered from the encounter in the land of lightning. Not letting his own grudge get in the way of business, he aided in the capture of the second member of the Parabrahma before turning his attention to the man and letting him know that his days were numbered. Not killing him right away, he believed that his friendship to Mana, Meiko and Kiyomi meant that they would most likely help him. Due to the Hiruzen being present being a clone with limited fighting capabilities and not wanting to fight four people in that state, he chose to push it ahead a bit. Once the Parabrahma threat was out of the way, Rukasu would be the next to find his head on the chopping block.

| Hiruzen: The Shinobi"How the world sees me, and how I see them"
As a shinobi that is no longer affiliated with any village, there are bound to be some forms of conflict that rise around his person. This can be the result of people within a village or a country having a problem with him, or it can be the other way around when he has a problem with them or a score that needs to be settled. Below are the major villages and lesser nations and Hiruzen's status with them. It also states how he feels about them and what they would most likely feel about him.
___________________________
Land of Lightning: Their Opinion: The land of lightning does not have a lot of people that do not know the name Hiruzen Uchiha. The opinions on him in this country are rather divided as the smaller towns have seen nothing but the good side of the Uchiha due to his actions against local robbers, bandits and other criminal scum. Aside from showing up time to time to see to the towns when he is buying the things he needs to live in his underground bunker, they do not see him enough to actually be bothered by his presence. As for as the criminal underbelly of society is concerned, they tend to stay away from Hiruzen's bad side as they know very well about the things he has done in the past. Exaggeration among the people of the country did wonders to make people fear the things he was capable of, so they do not touch the places he wishes to remain untouched while even performing small tasks for him such as the brokering of information for free.
Finally, there is the village itself. Ever since Hiruzen was but a young man, a good part of the civilians hated him for hailing from one of the richer clans, believing that the founding clans were to blame for the bad economical state the village was in at the time. They did not appreciate his presence, which was something that never truly made him feel like the area outside of the clan compound was really his home. The higher ups in the village had used him as a weapon for the longest of times, with one exception to that being the Raikage. That said, there is no way of knowing what his true opinion of Hiruzen was aside from the fact that he refused to train Hiruzen in the art of weaponry due to not knowing where his loyalties were. This was eventually the final drop that made the bucket spill, causing him to defect from the Hidden Cloud. His Opinion: For the longest time, the people from the council of Kumogakure have used him as a weapon, kept him in the dark and refused to grant him access to the things he needed to become a more powerful shinobi. Systematically, they stripped down every piece of him that wanted to do the best he could for the sake of the Hidden Cloud and the civilians living inside of it. Not caring for the village itself, he does care a little bit about the farmers and the people living in the smaller towns located throughout the lightning country. Knowing that not everyone can live in the safety of the village, help often arrives too late for these people. It is for that same reason that he made it a point to see to the criminal problem and making sure that they would try their luck elsewhere. In most cases, they heed his wishes, though some need to be reminded of why others do what he wants them to do.
Land of Fire: Their Opinion: While not nearly as well known here as in the land of lightning, the land of fire has no real beef with Hiruzen. Having returned one of their rogue shinobi for a bounty, working with some of the now high-ranking shinobi living in the Hidden Leaf on several occasions and helping in the fight against the Parabrahma, . As a result of the fight against the Parabrahma and fighting and beating two of the people that now have high seats within the village at the same time, they know that he is not a bad person. Still, they are very well aware of his personality and combat prowess, leaving them with enough knowledge to know that if he were to ever fly off the handle, things would become problematic.
Aside from the Hidden Leaf, there are also the monks of the Fire Temple that have had their encounters with him. While having gotten off on the wrong foot due to a third party involved and a few short fuses, Hiruzen managed to get better acquainted with the monks and managed to get quite a bit of work done. As is the case with the monks in the temple of Raijin, Hiruzen is more than welcome in the Fire Temple at all times. His Opinion: Hiruzen's opinion on the land of fire are straight forward and simple, he likes the place. He finds the weather to be dependable and enjoyable, likes the forest that covers the country that he can only find in the forest of sanctuary back in his land of birth and knows that the majority of the people living there are generally kind. One of the main reasons why he loves the place more than the lightning country is because the people there do not know him the same way as the people of Kumogakure. While some have heard the stories, Hiruzen can not set two steps without someone recognizing him, which is not the case in the land of fire. Aside from that, he has no enemies in the land of fire, which makes it a far safer place for him to be than the land of lightning.

| Breakdown: Combat Summary"What I am known for"As a shinobi, there are many things about Hiruzen that keep him from becoming a regular civilian and living out an ordinary life. At one point in his life, Hiruzen had everything he wanted, the only exception to this being the fact that his mother had died during his birth. Friends, a mentor, a sensei, family and other people close to him, he lost most of these things during one mission that changed the way he thought, that changed his vision for the future and the things he wanted to achieve. As a result of the many wrongs done to him by the council of the Hidden Cloud, Hiruzen defected from the village and left his family behind so they could live out their lives without the monster many people now saw him as. Whether you wish to fight him because of the things he has done, the things people believe he has done or simply because you want to see just how strong he really is, there are a couple of things you should know.____________________________
"Legendary Uchiha"The abilities of the Sharingan eye are not really much of a secret to those that have fought against it, those that have fought Hiruzen will know every terrible aspect of his eyes. Having mastered the hypnotic gaze, the chakra sight, the foresight, the mastery over Genjutsu and even the control over Jinchuuriki, there are a select few that have glanced at his eyes long enough to experience this mastery first hand. Others have only heard the tales told by Hiruzen's relatives, stories about how he was considered a prodigy among prodigies. Most know that the word prodigy means nothing to the Uchiha, nor do people bother calling an Uchiha a prodigy as such a thing would be nothing more than stating the obvious, this proving exactly how much more powerful than the average Uchiha he truly is. While many believe that the Sharingan is the only reason why he has risen to the level of power he is at now, that he was just lucky for being born into the right clan, Hiruzen does not truly care. He knows that they are only trying to find reasons out of their control to explain why they are beneath him in every way.

"Perceptive Combatant"Even without his Sharingan, Hiruzen is an incredibly perceptive combatant that is capable of fighting more than one enemy at the same time while maintaining the upper hand. Thanks to years of training, his basic five senses have increased in potency, messages are sent to his body and brain at a higher rate and he can counter an attack as soon as it happens, even before it happens when the Sharingan is active. Adding to his perceptive skill is the fact that his sixth sense allows him to accurately sense chakra in a wide area around him. Together, it is made almost impossible for anyone to catch him off-guard. All three of these factors make it incredibly hard of not impossible for an assassin to successfully take him down from the shadows, meaning all who wish to kill him will need to do so through one on one combat. When it comes down to it, his eyes, nose and ears registering things so well and his brain sending the messages along as fast as they do have allowed him to make his body more agile. Possessing acrobatic levels of control over his body, getting past his defenses and getting a hit in that he registered too late still does not account for a hit. All things considered, Hiruzen is among the hardest people to wound and one of the people certain to get killed by in battle.

"Master of Ninjutsu"As a member of the Uchiha Clan, Hiruzen's affinity with the fire element can not be denied. Owning many technique of the fire style that are more than capable of reducing enemies to ash, Hiruzen's violent flames are rumored to have spawned from the demons inhabiting the various plains of hell. Though this is just a silly observation, people are wise to fear his flames. Aside from his control over the fire element, Hiruzen also possesses a good amount of skill with the earth release, one he uses for supplementary, defensive and offensive purposes as it is far more useful in different situations where as fire will just destroy his enemies for him. Next to his elemental natures, Hiruzen is very skilled with the use of Shadow clones, creating tactics and setting up situations in which two people can get more done than one. Finally, the Uchiha is known to have created dozens of personal jutsu that take care of different tasks and have various power levels. His understanding over chakra as a force of nature goes above and beyond that of the shinobi around him, which is why he is always working on new jutsu. All things considered, Hiruzen is not the kind of person that is to be taken lightly in battle.

"Illusionist"One of the powers bestowed upon the user is the ability fight Genjutsu while also being able to cast some of the most powerful illusions known to man upon others. Knowing the basics of Genjutsu, the advanced methods of executing Genjutsu and the way in which they affect the brain, some of the illusions of his own creation are very violent and easy to figure out, while others are created to keep people going on in a dreamworld loop without realizing that they were ever put into a Genjutsu in the first place. Even though it is one of the things he is arguably best at, Genjutsu are among the things he uses least due to his firm belief that illusions are not a tool to be used in a fight between warriors. When the enemies he fights are deemed to be unworthy of the "warrior" title, or when the people he fights would rely on tricks and foolery rather than actually going at it the way he wants them to, his reservations for not using his Genjutsu quickly get tossed out the window. Finally, his understanding of illusions allow him to quickly figure out how foreign Genjutsu work, allowing him to turn them back onto the caster.

"Samurai"The fact that Hiruzen has trained under the Iron Shogun, the leader of the Iron Temple and commander of the Samurai forces of the land of Iron itself is something to be proud of as it is not a right bestowed upon every single shinobi due to the animosity between them and the Samurai. Thanks to the teachings of the Iron Temple, Hiruzen has learned how to handle a sword at a level that most people will never reach. Being skilled in the arts of Iaido and Kendo, most of sword based attacks are born from his scabbard at the point of drawing. Drawing with enough velocity to be capable of temporarily overpowering those with a physical strength greater than his own, the level of control over his sword Saiketsu, as well as other Katana. Aside from his skill with the Katana, he is also fairly well versed in the use of Kama, Bō, Naginata, Knives and the basic projectile tools such as Kunai, Shuriken and Senbon. Wielding them with deadly accuracy, his mastery is paired with his perceptive mind, the foresight of his Doujutsu and the evasive maneuvering skills he possesses. Hiruzen owes a great deal to the Samurai as they are responsible for increasing his physical prowess to a point he believed was out of his reach. While not born a master of weaponry and it still not being his best combat specialty, the amount of people that can best Hiruzen in swordplay are limited in number.

"Spiritual"Hiruzen has been among the Ninja Monks of the world almost as long as he has been a shinobi, though he was officially allowed to become a monk around his sixteenth year. Ever since that time, Hiruzen has been training under various sensei and even self-educated himself by the time when no one else could really teach him anything new. While not a religious man, Hiruzen does believe that everyone will go to the place they deserve to go when they eventually meet their end either in battle or from natural causes. Possessing the Gift of the Hermit Group, he is one of the few people in the world with a chakra pool that can be compared to the Tailed Beasts themselves. Hiruzen has mastered all the jutsu the Ninja Monks possess while having invented various techniques of his own. Using the information he gains from the glyph walls he has deciphered in various parts of the world in locations not accessible to most with deciphering skills known only to three people in the world, he has created two directions of Hermit Ninjutsu known as Bonnōdō (Defilement Path) and Hasshōdō (Noble Eight-fold Path). Where one path is about achieving enlightenment on a spiritual level, the other is about straying from the path to enlightenment and forcing others to go through the stages leading up to enlightenment, a path not many survive.

| Unique Developments"What was gained through research and effort" Thanks to his extensive research into the civilization that existed thousands of years before the era of villages, the era of warring states and the era in which the first clans were founded and Ninjutsu were created, Hiruzen has gained a lot more insight on subjects that most others would not even think about. Knowing that humanity as a whole was once linked on a spiritual level and that this bond was severed when the first people started harnessing chakra as a weapon, leaving a faint trace of this chakra that can be awakened and manipulated by a select few as the "Gift of the Hermit Group". During his time in the various temples, it would seem that the Shinto and Buddhist religion are closely related to the ancient monks that lived in a time when the world was still bound by one religion. The years of research he has done about the ancient civilization, their religion and the various other era that came after it, Hiruzen now understands more about chakra, the chakra pathways, the tenketsu points and the means to manipulate them to the fullest. Some of the findings that he has managed to weaponize up to this point are as followed.
Mudra Hand Seals: Mudra, roughly translated to "Seal", "Gesture" or "Mark" are unique hand seals that are often used by the monks in the temples when performing their mantra, a sacred chanting. When he learned that the ancient monks used different kinds of seals when performing their chakra channeling techniques, he managed to figure out that the hand seals they used were in fact the Mudra. The ones that were used the most were known as the Kuji-In, also known under the name "Nine Syllables". The nine syllables are the "Seal of the Thunderbolt", "Seal of the Great Thunderbolt", "Seal of the Outer Lion", "Seal of the Inner Lion", "Seal of the Outer Bonds", "Seal of the Inner Bonds", "Seal of the Wisdom Fist", "Seal of the Ring of the Sun", and the "Seal of the Hidden Form". By the time he mastered these new seals, all of the jutsu he created and mastered were linked to these unique hand seals. The more elaborate techniques also incorporated Mudra not belonging to the Kuji-In. These Mudra are often unlike any of the regular hand seals, some even utilizing the entire body in specific stances. Among these Mudra seals are the "Gesture of fearlessness", the "Earth Witness", the "Wheel Turning", the "Generosity Gesture", the "Thunder Gesture" and many more.
Hasshōdō:- Description:
One of the principal teachings of Buddha, the Hasshōdō, or Noble Eight-fold Path is described as the way leading to the cessation of suffering and the achievement of self awakening. It is used to develop insight into the true nature of reality and to eradicate greed, hatred, and delusion. The jutsu Hiruzen created and mastered under the name Hasshōdō are all related directly to his mind or the minds of others. Based around letting others see the things he has seen, giving him insight into the things others have seen and even the returning of lost memories, every jutsu from this "Path" are primarily Genjutsu cast through the Sharingan and fueled with Hermit chakra. As a means of ending hatred and delusion, Hiruzen can use the Genjutsu from this path along with the power of his Sharingan and the suppression of Tailed Beasts, allowing him to sit down the beast and it's Jinchuuriki and force them to converse together. Hiruzen himself believes that he created this Path and named it Hasshōdō after Buddha's teachings in order to put an end to the conflict between people. By breaking down the walls they have put up and forcing them to be truthful with one another, connecting their chakras to make it easier to truly understand one another.
Bonnōdō:- Description:
Being the opposite of the Hasshōdō, the Bonnōdō is also known as the Path of Defilement. In the path of defilement, there exist the "Kleshas", mental states which cloud the mind and manifest in unwholesome actions. Some of these states of mind are anxiety, fear, anger, jealousy, desire and depression. These are however but minor transgressions when compared to the "Three Poisons", ignorance, attachment, and aversion. The jutsu Hiruzen created and mastered under the name Bonnōdō are a mixture of both Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, all meant to inflict great pain, instill the fear of death and make them think about their lives as it flashes before their eyes. Where the Hasshōdō was made in order to get people closer together and make them understand one another on an almost spiritual level, the Bonnōdō was made to punish those that refused to see the error of their ways and force them to forfeit the attachment to their wrong way of life. Once his techniques succeed in stripping away the three poisons from their body and mind, they will be considered as purified in his eyes. After walking down the potentially fatal path of defilement, people will either come out of it as a better and stronger individual, or they will have strengthened their defiled state of mind to the point where not even Hiruzen can strip it from them, at which point all that is left for them is death.
