| Boom! Boom! Boom! Was the noise Akashi heard from a distance. A thunderstorm was brewing outside of the village, the Lightning Plain to be exact. It was a place of danger and mystery, he has never been there but he has heard of many stories of travelers getting lost and never being found. It is said that there is a native group of rouge ninja's in that part of the country that rob local citizens of Kumogakure and travelers. It is rare for people to go there and he has always wanted to visit there. It was mysterious.. Just like Akashi.. Weird.. Just like Akashi.. Dangerous.. Just like Akashi. He could see the lightning flashing from a distance but it was real far away and the clouds had to go past the famous Gray Mountains. That would most likely stop the storm completely or at least make the storm weaker. He didn't expect it to rain, but he isn't a meteorologist or a weather expert, plus nature is unpredictable. The clouds were barely visible in the night sky, the stars gleamed above Akashi's head. The fountain he was sitting on had a couple of lanterns hanging around it making the water glow beautifully. He slowly stirred the water and he felt the cool water against his pale skin.
He wore a red and black flannel shirt and khaki cargo shorts. His hair was messy but in a controllable way. He left all of his ninja weaponry at home and he expected a friend to come. Miku Tetsumi, was a friend he met in the Gray Mountains. He connected with her upon sight, it's as if they knew each other for a long time, almost like a sister-brother relationship. They had a lot a like and they were both short, so they could relate a lot. There was very little people walking around in the village, first off it was night and second there was a storm coming and everyone was preparing for it inside there houses. The only people out were late night lovers and troublemakers. Once in a while, one of Akashi's acquaintances or authority would pass by and he would greet them. He kept sitting on the fountain, waiting for Miku-chan. He hoped that they had fun that night and they would do mischief and live there young life or maybe they could just talk about life. Anything can happen in a night this unexpected and unpredictable. |

| From her apartment, Miku could hear the low grumbles of a thunderstorm. It had to have been from the Lightning Plains, it almost always was. She looked out her bedroom window with indifference. Was it going to rain? The kunoichi wasn't sure. She could see the clouds off in the distance, past the Grey Mountains. If it did rain, she was sure it would probably end up being only a light shower or some sprinkling. She shrugged her shoulders and went to her dresser. Miku was off to leave her house and meet up with a child she had met previously at the Grey Mountains. He was new to Kumogakure and she only found it her duty to make him feel at home. However, before she could leave, she needed to dress properly. After all, she was still in her pajamas, for she hadn't really left the house that day. She had been busy running around her own home. Anyone that knew her well would know that she was always constantly changing her clothing style. It would by tomboyish one day, girly the next. Brighty colored and then darkly colored. No patterns then polka dots and strips. The list went on and she wasn't afraid to admit she did enjoy fashion even with her role as a kunoichi. Miku looked through her drawers. What was she going to wear tonight? She ran her fingers over all of the fabrics.
The woman looked over her shoulder and out the window again. The sky was dark, but lit up by tiny stars. Other than the thunder clouds far away, any other clouds were practically translusant, refraining from masking over the stars. She raised an eyebrow and looked back down at her clothing. She liked the idea of blending in with the night. So, she pulled out a pair of black leggings, a black undershirt, a black robe, and a black sash. All black like the night. Or perhaps a more coal like color? Whaever it was, it was very dark. Miku quickly changed out of her pajamas, tossing them in her dirty clothes hamper, and put on her chosen outfit. The black undershirt was mostly hidden by the black robe, which was very similar to the usual kimono, though instead, it ended at her hips and was really more of a long shirt. She wrapped the black sash comfortablely around her waist, holding the long shirt/robe together. Up the leggings went, ending right at her knees. Finally, she brushed her hair and pinned back her bangs like usual. The hair barette was in a shape of a white swirl, the only color that stood out from her besides her vibrant colored hair. She took a look at herself in the mirror.
Miku smiled at her reflection and then noticed how flowly and long the sleeves were on her robe/shirt. It reminded her of an empress. She laughed at the silly thought of her being an empress and walked away from the mirror. Of course, the kunoichi shoved a few pieces of candy into the sleeves of her robe/shirt. Miku just wouldn't be Miku without her candy. She quickly shuffled her feet in some sandals and left her room. An occasional lighted home lead her path, as well as the stars erie glow. Though she didn't have a clock, she was sure she wasn't late or was going to be. She would be around time, maybe even earlier, which was exactly how she wanted it. The kunoichi blened well with all the dark colors of the night, with the exception of her fiery hair. Anyone could see her hair from a mile away. It swayed back and forth as she waltzed calmly through the streets. She smiled to no one in particular and nodded her head to the sound of her feet patting against the roads as if it were music. Low grumbles could still be faintly heard, but it really didn't bother her. After all, that's how it was in Kumogakure no Sato. That was her home.
Upon the horizon, Miku spotted the familiar setting of the Central Fountain. Her smile grew as she remembered memories of going there as a child. Hell, she still went there and had a good time everynow and then. She was still young. As she approached closer to the fountain, she spotted her little friend. She ceased movements of her legs and gave the boy a small bow. "Good evening, Akashi! Kuku! I brought more candy, again!" the kunoichi stated cheerfully but not too loud. Her fingers slinked into the sleeves of her robe/shirt, pulling out a cherry lollipop for both him and her. She handed him one and began to unwrap her's, then gobbling it into her mouth. It was very sweet. "How are you, tonight?" she questioned, enjoying her candy and the company of someone. |
