Naruto Chapter 500 [SPOILERS]

Chapter 500

Well, after two weeks worth of waiting, it's here. I must say, I'm pretty shocked that Kishimoto actually drew Kushina giving birth. Also, the mention of the Third Hokage's father being named Sasuke was surprising too, since his name would therefore be "Sarutobi Sasuke", which is actually a character from Japanese legend. Weird.

Finally, the text on the last page where, concerning Tobi/Madara, the author was like "Whose face lies behind the mask?" excited me. Does that mean we're going to get a hint as to Tobi's identity next chapter? Seems unlikely, but you never know.

Also, for all those who were wondering how Madara managed to control the Kyuubi when it was sealed in Kushina, you got your answer! Childbirth, my God that's stupid.

For some reason, I don't think that's Madara now. :/ Just the view of his hand even kind of ruins it, I almost think it's Itachi, but that's impossible. o.o

I completely agree, because if it was Madara, Kishi wouldn't be presenting it as a mystery. I mean when you think about it, after, "Who's face lies behind the mask?!" If it was revealed to be Madara, that'd be pretty silly right? In my mind this completely rules out Tobi being Madara and Tobi being Obito... though that was ruled out a while back.

I'm not sure who it is, but whoever it is, they're probably just using Madara's name to inspire fear. The person in Kabuto's unrevealed coffin was most definitely the real Madara. Hence the "Bastard.. where did you get that?" part of his dialogue.

Well, we can now rule that the masked man then is the masked man now. I believe the mystery of Tobi's power lies within his mask. If you noticed, his mask was not the same as it is now but it seems as if the mask grew to what it is now. The mask has slight, but large swirls then but now they are thin and there are many twisted features in the mask.

I think you can also say that Tobi's sharingan is similar to Kakashi's...maybe.
Whoever it is, I think it could be a character we've met before or have had some common knowledge about because it would be ridiculous to bring a new character as the criminal this late in the game.

I thought that was kinda smart on their part actually, it makes the most sense.

The whole 'who is behind the mask' thing is now interesting. I hope its not a huge let down.

But none of these Naruto shenanigans can compared to One Piece at the moments. Its off the frreeaakking amazing charts! *melts*

One Piece is gay because pirates are gay. Naruto is awesome because they built onto the idea of ninjas, which was already awesome, and made it uber awesome.

Once again kishi fails to impress me ¬¬ i was hoping Madara was gna show up and be like " Naruto is actually my son! " BUT no...that didn't happen lol It was slightly suprising but i wasn't exactly click/smashing my mouse buttom to go to the next page any faster :/

You know, someone ought to make a list of minor characters who had an impact on the plot, and slowly eliminate them. If not Madara, then Tobi definitely has to be someone we've seen before, as stated already. Danzou fitted the category well, but he's out. Obito cannot be Tobi either due to numerous reasons, but this chapter basically proved it since Obito would be dead at that time, and only around fourteen years old at that.

Not to sound rude or anything (and sorry if you take this badly) but ever heard of a thing called "outfit changing"? I'm pretty sure Madara would have changed his outfit after twelve or sixteen years, he cut his hair after all, which proves he does alter his attire. And remember that during one of Itachi's flashbacks, we saw "Madara" (as Itachi called him) wearing the same mask. So, I don't really think there's anything in the appearance of his mask.
