A Still Day.

Sayrui sat at the table with a heavy head, she seemed tired and lonly. Only her companion hakurou accompanied her, he sat by her chair growling fiercely at passing people. Sayuri noticed and barked at Hakurou. She put her head back down and she swore she heard laughter from behind her and a small faint voice.

"Her mom must have been half Dog!"

Sayuri twitched and then layed her head in the table. It ha been a rough time at her house, with her last family member alive getting sick. Sayuri didnt have any friends and often was written off due to her behavior with talking to dogs.

She reached behind and untied her hair, it fell down past her shoulders, and she ran her fingers through it. Sighing heavilly Sayuri reached for her glass of water and drank slowly. it was cool as it glided gently down her throat, it was awfully stuffy in the room, and her shinobi attire attracted alot of heat.
Sayuri looked down at the table, and started to pick at the scratches, thinking of her dying grandmother. Her only friend and family member left.

Shikachi was bored in his house with literally nothing to do, he remembered his friend Sayuri. Man i haven't seen her in a while. He thought to himself, as he picked up a book that he had hidden under the fridge. It had the addresses of all shinobi and citizens of Konoha. He scrolled down the page with his index finger. He looked for the Ako family. He remembered her last name from their introductions at the hot springs. He still remembered her beauty and the gentleness of her lips. Snap out of it and get back to looking for her. he said aloud to remind himself to stop reminiscing. Sako... Sanji.... Sayuri! "There it is!" he yelled out loud with a small smile of success. Now that he located her all he had to do was go to her house. He was feeling sort of iffy about it because he didn't want to seem like a creeper but he did miss her even though he hadn't known her that well.

Shikachi memorized the address and knew how to get there within 5 minutes. After getting dressed he was out the door. He walked a little faster than normal because of his excitement but he wasn't at a jogging pace or anything like that. He was sorta lost but he found his way around. Man this is all so confusing. he began getting a little down because he didn't know if he was gonna find her house or not, but as soon as he started to get down he saw a window, and to his surprise, the person he was looking for was sitting at a table basically 15 feet away. Wow look at her. he said to himself gazing at her as if the beauty of the stars were within her.

Shikachi walked to the window and tapped lightly than saw Hakurou growling. She barked at the dog, the same bark as the last time the dog growled at him. For some reason Sayuri didn't look happy, instead there was a sort of deep sorrow in her eyes, and it hurt Shika to see her like this. She looked depressed. She untied her hair, and at that instant Shika knew that was the girl he would one day end up with. He tapped again a little harder hoping that she would hear him. Hopefully she's happy to see me he thought to himself only hoping for the best.

Sayuri started to remember if she had any chance of having a friend and she remembered Shikachi. He was so sweet, and she really did like him. He was reallt handsome with his warm smile and brave nature, she really missed him, and wanted to see him again.
Then she heard a gentle tap on the window and turned to see who it was. then her eyes widened and her heart raced as Shikachi stood there. She smiled really wide, and all her drepressing thoughts went away.
She jumped up and even Hakurou seemed happier. Then she raced out the door, not even bothering to push in her chair. Without thinking Sayuri jumped into his arms and hugged him gently, with a small tear in her eye.

" Im so glad your ok! Where have you been. Its been so long." she let go and seemed really excited and frantic about everything. She missed him so much, and thier meeting meant everything to her. then two people walked by and giggled.

"Hey look! There's the Dog!"

And the couple laughed even harder. Sayuri watched silently and then put her head down in shame.

Shikachi watched her eyes open with joy and her mouth spread into a wide smile. The only thing this could do was make him smile even more. When the door opened all Shika felt was Sayuri's soft skin in his arms. She was hugging him oh so gently, and Shikachi loved it. He saw a tear in her eye, and said "Are you okay?" He wiped the tear from her eye and looked at her. She was so beautiful and young yet she looked so depressed just a minute ago. Why was she so sad? he thought to himself, but stopped quickly not wanting to ruin the moment. "Im so glad your ok! Where have you been. Its been so long." She said. She seemed so happy to see him that it made him wanna just hug her even long her. She seemed excited and it sort of rubbed off on Shikachi because now he was getting excited.

As soon as Shikachi was going to answer he heard someone say "Hey look! There's the Dog!"

Followed by giggles, he turned around to see a couple walking and laughing, they were pointing in his direction. He turned around only to see Sayuri with her head down. He then knew that they were talking about her. "Excuse me, what did you say?" he said grabbing Sayuris hand and walking to the couple with a serious face on. "I dont think you have the right to speak to such a beautiful lady that way, do you?" He said as he looked at them with eyes that could burn through someone so quick that it could make you quiver. Shikachi liked Sayuri and he wasn't going to let anyone pick on her, no matter what. If things were to accel than he would be ready.

Shikachi looked at Sayuri giving her a look of reassurance. He held her hand gently to hopefully make her feel that if she ever needs him, that he'd be there. Now Shikachi stood there and waited to see what the couple would say.

Sayuri felt her heart sink as they laughed.
"What is Shikachi going to think about this, will he laugh too?" She thought to herself.
"Excuse me, what did you say?" Sayuri felt Shikachi take her hand and she looked up. "I dont think you have the right to speak to such a beautiful lady that way, do you?" She looked astonished, " is he actually sticking up for me?" she thought as he stared at the couple. They both glanced at each other, shook thier heads and ran off.
Sayuri glanced at Shikachi's eyes and saw some sort of hatred?
Then he looked at her, and she blushed. He made her feel like a actual person.
" You didnt have to do that for me," she said feeling his warm hand holding hers. they werent rough, but smooth and comfotable.
A tear ran down her face," Shikachi? I - I really like you. and i was just hoping that you feel what i do. Seeing you, makes me feel wanted and loved. Something i have never felt before. Im just glad your here."
She let go of his hand and leaned into his warm chest. Holding him gently, she hoped she didnt scare him off.

Shikachi looked at the couple and watched as they shook their heads and ran off. He looked at her to see her cheeks blushing red." You didnt have to do that for me," she said, but Shikachi knew that he did. He didn't want anyone hurting him but the main thing to him was that he didn't want anyone hurting his friends. Actually I did he thought to himself. " Shikachi? I - I really like you. and i was just hoping that you feel what i do. Seeing you, makes me feel wanted and loved. Something i have never felt before. Im just glad your here." Shikachi was a little surprised by this but not enough to take him off guard. "I actually really like you too. I don't have parents and not tons of friends either. So you make me feel really good too." He said as she let go of his hand and leaned into his chest.

"Hey cheer up," he said lifting her face gently and kissed her even more gently. Only for about five seconds. "Hey do you think it'd be a good idea to go inside?" He said holding her hand and looking into her eyes. He would rather be inside talking to her and trying to help her. He could tell that she had a couple of problems and he wanted to help her so bad. Man i really wanna help this girl. he thought to himself. He held her hand gently not wanting to hurt her in anyway.

He wanted to start walking to the door, but he didn't want to do anything that she didn't want to.

"I actually really like you too. I don't have parents and not tons of friends either. So you make me feel really good too." He said. Sayuri smiled and hugged him. She slowly breathed in his sweet scent.

"Hey cheer up",Sayuri felt his hand lift her chin and his lips against hers. They were soft and full of taste. They released and Sayuri smiled. She really liked him, and wanted nothing more than to be friends with him. She looked into his eyes and Sayuri just melted. Her mind went blank.

"Hey do you think it'd be a good idea to go inside?" Shikachi said, Sayuri shook her head clear and smiled.

"Of course!" she said, she walked over to the door, opened it, and sat back at her table. Hakurou padded softly by herside and sat down next to her, panting. Sayuri smiled, " would you like something?"

Her lips were soft like the last time he had kissed her. After finishing the kiss and asking if they should go inside, she said "Of course!" She and him walked in the house. It had a distinct smell, it smelled just like Sayuri. I like this smell he thought to himself, but not wanting to say anything to her incase it would sound too wierd. Shikachi thought that it was good to be friends with her and that maybe one day they would be more, but until than he was totally happy with that.

"This is a nice place you have here, it's really comfortable." he told her as he and her took their seats at the table. "Would you like something?" she asked him. He didn't really like taking things from people even if asked.

"Umm no thank you." he said to show his appreciation for her asking. "I appreciate it though."

If only all people were as kind as her. he thought. Than he remembered how sad she looked. "Hey before i knocked, you looked so sad, it was horrible to see you like that. Is everything okay?" he said looking into her eyes.

" No nothing is ok," she turned to him, " my grandmothers is going to die, just as my grandfather did, soon too. and she is my only family... and she provides for me. when she dies, im going to be alone, and have no where to go. I will be living on the streets. I-I just dont know what to do."

Besides i'd like a roommate." he said hoping to lighten up the mood, even though he knew he probably was wasn't. He didn't want to say anything wrong after that so he sat quietly and watched to see what she would say.

She nodded and started to cry a little more, " I dont want to intrude though, but if your serious, i would be delighted."
Suddely the thought of her grandfathers and killed parents came to her mind. Thier deaths, and her responsibilities. She wanted to avenge them. Then she will feel better. She hoped.

"Hey i just don't want to wish death upon anyone though you know?" he said referring back to her grandma. So that way atleast she wouldn't think that he wanted her grandma dead. Thats the last thing i'd want. he thought to himself. He looked in her eyes and could see a sort of hate, he wanted to ask about it but didn't know whether or not to. Maybe not, i dont think thats something to talk about if she looks that mad. he thought not wanting to say anything stupid.

"Hey i just don't want to wish death upon anyone though you know?" Sayuri looked at him and smiled after a short silence. It looked like he wanted to ask something but was afraid to.

" Shikachi, i thank you, your just so kind. But why me? Why do you like me? I'm really nothing." she said running her fingers through her hair.

She turned away from him and sighed, "Its just so different. Im not used to it, and to be truthfull, it frieghtning."

She began running her fingers through her hair. She was a little stressed looking and to Shikachi it sorta made her look even cuter. "Because your cute, nice, and your losing everything. We can relate see," he said making a smile. "Im cute and your cute. Your nice and im nice. Your losing something important, well i hope not but you might be, and i lost everything already." She turned away, and Shikachi didn't know what to say.

"Its just so different. Im not used to it, and to be truthfull, it frieghtning." Shikachi knew how that felt. It was also a little firghtening to him too. "To tell you the truth it's a little frightening to me too." he said looking at her.

" I get that you understand how i feel then, you losing everything and all." She turned back to look at him, he was so caring, and it helped her feel a little better. The images of her dead parents and grand fathers last breath seemed to float away from her, finally she was letting it all go.
"It not my fault, it was meant to happen, but i wont just let them die without me doing something about it," she muttered.
"Thank you, Shikachi, dont leave. Promise me, that you will never leave. I have lost enough already, and i need you."
She stood there with her head down, as a tear ran down her face.
