A Call to Arms Vide
PostSubject: A Call to Arms A Call to Arms EmptySun 15 Aug 2010, 5:19 am

Riku had been in her office all night, and it probably showed on the expression on her face. She was tired and had been doing tedious paper work for over 4 hours, but she had nearly done her quota for the week. She was the type of person that liked to get the difficult or boring activities out of the way first so she could then occupy her time with something more enlightening. She brushed her hand through her blonde silky hair down to her neck and then abruptly cracked it to the left, relieving tightness which had accumulated through intensive writing. She knew that this was apart of the the job and on some occasions doing the paper work for the village could be quite rewarding and exciting, but this only occurred when she would be doing a report on a mission which she had seen a ninja on. She enjoyed reading the report summary of how they went on and the success of the village.

She looked outside to see that the weather was not going to brighten her day in the slightest. It was a cold outside with a chilly and blustering wind. The window pane juttered every couple of minutes or so as the wind hurled itself at the hinges trying to burst it's way inside. "By the looks of it there will be a storm by lunch." she said to herself in a tired and soft tone. She felt her eye lits start to drop which signalled her to talk another sip out of her mug of coffee, the only thing it that was seemingly keeping her awake. As she put her lips to the rim of the cup she drank slowly, but with a disgusted look on her face she quickly spat the coffee out and lent over. "God damn it's cold!" she screamed as slammed the mug back down on the desk. At that moment she decided she needed to go for a walk and stretch her legs, she didn't like to be in one place for a long time. So Riku grabbed her coat and went to walk to the door.

As she got up from her desk there was a soft and subtle knock on her office door. "Come in" she bellowed with a stern voice as the door slowly started to creak open. Her assistant, a beautiful young lady with thick rimmed glasses and a short pencil legged skirt and loose fitting silk top walked in with a a handful of papers in her hand. On top of these papers was a decorated silver kunai with a somewhat unique seal marking on it. "Raikage-sama there is someone by the name of Kiiro here to see you. He has important information directly from the Mizukage himself, Arashii Nakamura. Shall I sent him through?" she said with a polite smile on her face. Riku sat back down on her seat and thought for a moment, this was someone what of an unexpected occurance. "Alright, let the man through." she said with a sharp tone "And can you please bring through a fresh bach of coffee also, mine has gone cold." The Raikage's Assistant nodded swiftly and then ushered the man through the door handing over the silver kunai as she escorted herself out. The man then filed through the door, and Riku ushered him to the seat in front of her desk and he sat down placing the kunai on her table.

Riku and the man from Kirigakure talked for just under 15 minutes. He explained everything to her that he was told to say from his kage. "There is to be a Kage Summit requested by Arashii Nakamura, the Mizukage. It is formal, and kages are expected to wear their Kage uniform and are also required to bring this kunai to the meeting as a symbol to prove that they are indeed the Kage of their respected village. The Summit will be held in the Yutaka Fort in Tea County, you are permitted two escorts." Kiiro said robotically. Riku sat slumped back in her chair staring at the man. She hated taking orders from someone liks Arashii, a man she had meet before a long time ago in a world that was much different. She wondered if he was still the same and if she had read him right all though's years ago. It was this intrege that compelled her to go and see what this meeting is about. "So Kiiro is it? What is this actually about?" She said with a overbearing and abrubt tone. "I am not permitted to say, only that I shall inform you of the information my Mizukage has requested. I suggest you go and find out yourself."

Riku had now gone red with anger. She didn't like the fact that the man floated himself on in here, into other village and talked to an opposing kage with such arrogance. Riku started to laugh cynically and sighed "Ahhh, ninja from the Mist are all the same. Tell your Lord that I am coming and I will meet him and the Kazekage in Tea as requested." Riku got up from her desk and slowly moved her way around the table, like a stealthy snake. "Now, I strongly suggest you leave my office and village immediatly before I shove my fist down your throat so hard you with shit sideways for two weeks. I do not talk kindly to pig-arrogance here." Riku then put her hand to her lips, making a kissing sound, and then slowly placed her fingertips on the mans forehead. In utter confusion and fear the man bowed and made his way out of the room. As he left Riku laughed to herself. But she knew she had work to do. She pulled out a scroll and pen and began to write two letters, each with the exact words, but different names. She had already decided her escorts. Two ninja who were highly skilled within the village.

When she finished she boardered up the letters and placed them on her desk. She then put the tips of her two first fingers in her mouth and let out a bellowing wolf-whistle. Within an instant two ninja shushined into the the office in front of her desk. "I want you to sent these letters to Tensei Hougaku, and Miku Tetsumi. Tell them that they are to meet me at the gate in two days time to leave for the Kage Summit. All the information that they will need to know is on the letter, but if they wish to learn more about what is happening before then, tell them to come and contact me here. I am sure Tensei will come the nosey little bugger." Riku chuckled to herself. The ninja yelled "Yes Ma'am!" and then shushined and out of the room. Riku then sat back down and pulled out her diary. She would need to now re-schedule her plans as she was now taking an unexpected trip to the Tea Country.
