Mission: Evacuate the Hot Springs [Cyanide Candy] Couple4

One couldn't begin to capture the definite image of Kinu as he swiftly moved threw out the village rooftops. His fear and anxiety aided him in his speed to reach his destination which was the Hot Springs. So much emotion and fear struck his young mind like the stabbing of a kunai that wouldn't go away. This would probably be one of Kuni's most dangerous and important mission to date, and still being a new comer to the Kumogakure's military he lacked the experience that most Ninja have. For now, he would have to muster all the training and natural skill to overcome the fiery challenges that this mission has to offer him. For this objective, Kinu would have to control a wild fire that has swept across the village's hot springs and the small forest behind it. Not only that, but also help out bystanders while doing so. He would have to do this until the Jounin come back from a terrorist attack that happened at the village gates, and with Kumogakure's notorious reputation for being slow with all their processes, it would be awhile before Kinu gets help. Hopefully though, some other Genin and Chunin will already be there starting the evacuation, and all Kinu would have to do is cooperate. But something felt different this time, like something very dark was mustering inside the village. Kinu shrug off that thought consecutively, not wanting to worry himself even more then he already had to. Making his final step on the sandy rocks of the hot springs, he witnessed the chaotic scene of burning shore houses and molting water. The flames height surpassed that of the trees from the forests, and its ferocity was equivalent to that of a raging tiger. More horridly, the sight of the horrified villagers and tourists cowering from the shacks and waters could damage a person's mentality even more potent then a Genjutsu.

With his timid stature and innocent appearance Kinu appeared to be a lost child in the midst of a burning environment. His over-sized red shirt swayed with the crisp embers as the northern gusts came his way. The heat from the flames even though meters away, coupled by his sweat pants caused a unnecessary sweating on his legs and torso. Kinu looked around sharply, trying to locate multiple things from single glances. Instantly in the midst of the smoke, the image of a burning women appeared behind the window of one of the dozens of small shacks located on top of the miniature shore. With great speed and grace Kinu moved threw the smoky clouds and made his way to the shack. Spotting a small brown bucket on top of a puddle, while running Kinu quickly picked up the bucket which was filled half-way with water. With his empty hand Kinu touched the water inside the bucket while running, in order to test the temperature of the water before dousing the woman with it. Running up the steps Kinu used his powerful leg muscles and performed a military kick right at the center of the door, shattering it to dozens of small pieces. Instantly the woman fell to the floor, and as a reaction Kinu threw the water at her to put her out. The screams of other villagers echoed throwout the hot springs, and one by one Kinu helped remove them from the burning shacks. The process took hours and really took a tole on Kinu's stamina, but his mission was far from complete.

The second aspect of his job was to temporarily control the fire on the shore. Stepping out of the burning shack with a young girl in his arms, Kinu placed her on the ground where she ran towards her mother. From the gothic shadows of the trees, the image of Kumogakre ninja became present in the moonlight. Although a small handful, all five of the Chuunin circled Kinu as though he were one of them. Kinu crossed his arms and prepared for a short discussion in hopes of finding a way to control the fire. After minutes of talking, two of the Chuunin darted towards the hot springs giant pool and stopped immediately once their feet hit the water. Kinu watched as both of the young women performed several hand-seals which caused a giant bubble of water to erupt from the pool. The bubble was giant, reaching almost as tall as the flames. Kinu has never witnessed such a diverse suiton technique such as this, granted he never seen a lot of water based techniques at all. With a clap of their hands, the bubble busted and released needles of rain onto the shore, as well as the forest behind it. The fires were quickly drenched by the water along with Kinu and the fellow Chuunin. By that time all the villagers made their way out the shore and towards the evacuation centers in the village. Now, Kinu and the other Chuunin stood alone on the shore, which he would consider a mission complete.

Within the process of a few minutes the Chuunin band dispersed back into the village and left the lonesome Kinu by himself on the rocky shore. The sound of the returning crickets and the birds which inhabited the territory echoed throwout the night. Kinu turned around once more to view the hot springs on last time before departure. A immense pond area surrounded by forests and trees. Small shacks located along the shore of the pond now shattered by the flames, and the only standing building untouched by this disaster was the hot springs bath house which was located in the far back of the pond. Before assembling the energy to leave, Kinu's childish curiosity stuck him like a lightning bolt. One couldn't blame him,, having spent the entire night rescuing villagers from burning shacks and drowning, he wanted to find the source of what happened even though it was the Jounin's job. Looking into the abyssal forests a few meters from him, Kinu slowly walked into the woods and was enveloped in shade. Casually walking threw the crackling leaves and bushes, Kinu found it rather troublesome avoiding the tree branches which hung in his way. His clothes received small cuts and wrinkles while making his way threw the forest, but his desire to discover whatever he was searching for was more overclouding.

In the midst of walking on a grassy field, Kinu heard footsteps a few yards away from him. The first sound of the crackle of leaves startled him greatly, although he was disciplined enough to not show signs of fear. "Is anyone there?" He shouted into the trees.

Rikun was on his knees, the shadow and the trees of the forest surrounding him. His chocolate colored hair twisted and curled out of place, bangs hanging in the way of his eyes. He stared at his palms, covered with blood and smoky black and grey splotches, the same with his clothes. One of his hands clutching a lighter. However, the darkness of the forest helped conceal them. His eyes were enlarged with tears streaming down from them. Silently crying in the midst of the forest, he relayed the night in his head...

...Haomi, beautiful Haomi. She was the world to him. An angel sent from the heavens, though now just a pained memory that drove Rikun insane. He had found his love, his wonderful woman, tainted and harmed, lying in a pool of her own sweet blood. They had planned on meeting at the Hot Springs and when Haomi hadn't shown up, he began to look for her. He found her dead self in the basement of the Hot Springs. No words could describe how Rikun had felt during those few seconds of digesting the fact that Haomi, his love, was not breathing and dead and the blood was her own. How would he go on? Who had done this to her? What was he going to do? He embraced her lifeless body. It was then that things began to go down hill in his head for the young man.

He moved Haomi's lifeless body and placed her back against the wall, leaving her sitting against it. Her voice rang in his ears, as if she was still alive and well. She told him to do things. How he could've been there, how he could've stopped this from happening, and how he had left her alone. She went on about how Rikun would fall in love with another and betray her. How she was just so certain he would. The rants in his head angered him and upset him. He felt overwhelming guilt, too. He had to prove he could only love her and no one else.

He began to snatch mostly women from the Hot Springs. They were sacrifices for his love.

"Look, this one has the same beautiful blue hair as you had, Haomi, but I could never love her like I love you!"

The poor unfortunate woman screamed for help, though proved useless as she was muffled and then stabbed and cut. Her blood spilled across the floor, but Rikun didn't mind. It was all for Haomi and that was all that mattered.

"This one has the same glimmering eyes as you, but I could never love her like I love you, Haomi!"

Another woman suffered the same fate as the one before her. However, Haomi was still not completely satisfied with Rikun's display of ever-lasting affection. She needed to see more and being in the mental state Rikun was in, he complied.

"And this one is wearing pigtails just like you used to when you were little, Haomi! Oh, you were so adorable. I loved you even when I was just a small boy!"

Rikun let out a chuckle and swore he heard Haomi giggle along. It made his heart flutter yet ache at the same time. Again, the woman suffered the same fate as the women before her. The last victim was a male. He was plump and a little hard to take unlike the other thin beauties of the Hot Spring.

"Doesn't this man remind you of your dad, Haomi? I never really liked your dad, but neither did you." he smacked the man around a bit, seething and glaring before finally ending his life.

He stopped there, believing it had satisfied his sweetheart. A pile of dead bodies laid around him. None of them as beautiful as Haomi's body, of course. What was he going to do with the bodies? He had to get rid of them. His sacrifices just couldn't rot. They symbolized his love for Haomi and he certainly knew his love for her was not rotten. It was red, 'heartfelt', and... Fiery. His fingers had twitched at the realization of the perfect way to rid of the bodies and still please his angelic woman with the strong symbolization.

He began to look for matches. He never was able to find some, but was able to find a lighter among one of the dead bodies and as long as he could start a fire, that was fine with him. He lit one of the body's bloodied and ripped clothing and watched as it began to burn. The fire grew larger with each passing second and before he knew it, the fire was out of his control...

...Rikun stopped relaying the night in his head, similar to clicking a pause button. A breeze blew by, shaking some of the leaves in the trees and a few strands of the young man's chocolate hair. He dried his eyes with the end of his shirt sleeve and let out a deep ragged breath. His eyes were bloodshot and dry. After a minute of reminding himself of what he had done, things started to make sense again. He had done a very bad thing. Actually, more like a series of bad things. Haomi was dead and she hadn't been talking to him. He had gone off the wagon, hadn't he? He was a monster. Haomi would never have loved him had she seen what he had done. She was probably up in the heaven, bless her sweet soul, frowning down at him. Rikun had to do something to make it up, but what?

He stood up and trembled slightly. The young man was feeling a bit woozy and lightheaded with so many thoughts and emotions. He stepped on a few leaves, crunching them. Suddenly, he heard a shout. He stepped out from behind a tree and bushes, looking at the unsuspecting visitor. "The fire... It went out of... Control..." he strayed in his speech, as if he wasn't even aware he was speaking. "My... Control... I lost it..." he clutched his throbbing head and dropped the lighter in front of him. It had been a long night.

The man who appeared behind the bushes attracted Kinu's attention instantly. The shadows of the trees blanketed his body, leaving only the dark outline of his figure. One would think that the young Kinu would be very frightful at that moment after being approached by a anonymous man, but instead he stood there calmly. Kinu was about to speak to the man first, but only to be beaten by him.

"The fire... It went out of... Control... My... Control... I lost it... " He said as his voice strayed within the air. The casual winds didn't help the fact that Kinu could barely hear the man anyway, but on the bright side the wind blew some of the leaves away which dispelled the dark shadow which covered the man. For the first time now Kinu actually saw the man for what he really was, and took a definite note of his appearance. A somewhat short man who wore a bloodied white dress shirt and black sweat pants. He also had long brown hair that spiraled down to his back which blended perfectly with the tree bark beside his head. By the time Kinu saw the crazed man he finally processed what he had said. "What is he talking about? Does he have something to do with the fire?" Kinu thought to himself while tensing. From his observation Kinu saw no weapons on the man nor a head-band, so he figured he wasn't a Ninja. Dropping his guard by a small amount, Kinu stood straight from his limp stance and crossed his arms. This man was quite interesting indeed, and Kinu knew he had to confiscate him. He knew that subduing a villager was wrong, but the aspects of everything that happened tonight would give him a solid defense... hopefully. This would be the first time that Kinu would have to interrogate someone for real since becoming Genin, and he was ready to take that responsibility until the Jounin arrive.

"Sir, my name is Kinu Yamazaru and you are under... ehm... arrest... I think." Kinu stated with dumbfounded amateurishness. Under different circumstances Kinu would have bust out laughing at how lame he was, but who could blame him? He was still very young and a new Ninja. He lacked the sophistication so many higher Chuunin and Jounins claimed to possess. Hopefully the mysterious man would let that slide, but Kinu decided not to give him time to react. With great speed and swan like grace, Kinu flickered beside the man within a moment. While within the movement fluctuation Kinu activated his Animal Seal which caused four squid like tentacles to rush out of his sleeve from his shoulders. Kinu was on the right side of the man and equally parallel to him. Launching the tentacles at the man within close range Kinu knew that this man would be trapped within his grasp.

Rikun continued to hold his throbbing head, grunting in pain, being cursed with a series of overwhelming emotions. He felt guilt, fear, confusion, and pain. Depression, too. The young man felt like he had no control over anything he was doing or had done. At that time, he also felt paranoid to the max. He slowly lifted his head out of his hands, realizing the boy was still there. Rikun had almost forgot the boy had been there. The boy hadn't said anything yet. Was he just a hallucination? A figure in his head? Was this just going to be like a repeat with what had happened with Haomi? His bloodshot eyes watered up, tears dangerously threatening to spill out, again. A wind blew by once more, shaking the tree's leaves and the loose grass, along with Rikun's hair. He was really looking like a big mess.

Finally, one of the two males did speak, that being the small boy.
"Sir, my name is Kinu Yamazaru and you are under... ehm... arrest... I think."

The murderer computed what the small boy, whose name he claimed was 'Kinu', had said in a very slow manner, as if it was the hardest mathematical equation in the world. Kinu's voice sounded uncertain and almost confused and strayed as his's had sounded. Rikun's eyebrows furrowed, which only caused pain to build up in his forehead and he grunted in response. The boy was a shinobi? Genin-rank? Arresting him? He didn't expect this at all. He really was beginning to think that Kinu had just been a hallucination in his head. It was almost a good thing and almost a bad thing at the same time. However, just as he was so sure the boy was real, he suddenly vanished. Rikun blinked rapidly and rubbed his eyes only to then realize Kinu was beside him. The murderer went to move, but was stopped. Not by the Kinu, not by himself, nor his surroundings. It was several squid like... Tentacles? He was being restrained by them. He was in a trap. The boy was a shinobi and he was certainly real.

Rikun went to move, though proved useless and only served as wasted protests. His senses kicked in and he gave in. Was this his punishment? The way to redeem himself from the horrible things he had done? Would anyone ever forgive himself? Would he be able to ever forgive himself? He thought of Haomi and simply remained silent as he remain captured. He was truly exhausted and felt he could fall asleep right now if only his head would stop throbbing. Although Rikun didn't know much about the workings of the shinobi career, he knew well enough that more ninja would come along. He would be hauled off into questioning, thrown into a jail or maybe even sentenced to death. Knowing this, he said just one more thing. "I'm... Sorry..." before hanging his head down in defeat.
