Sugi is a little shorter than her average height, making her 5"1 and weighing 98lbs. She is a very physically active person, because she bases herself mostly on Taijutsu. She wears a black, sleeve-less sweater, and undernearth wears a fishnet top. She wears above the knee, unique ninja boots that she finds more comfortable than what most ninja wear. She wears more comfortable and free moving ninja pants, which go down to about her knee. Her most obvious feature are her milky white eyes, which she can change into the Byakugan. Her black hair is about waist length in the back, and shorter in the front.

However, when not training or out on a mission, Sugi bears a Kimono. It is in tune with the season of Autumn, which just happens to be Sugi's favourite season. The Kimono itself has a very brown and whiye pattern, acting like a person with the Byakugan in some sense. Sugi loves her Kimono, and it is one of the few things she kept from Konoha. She may also wear a white or purple kimono as well, but is most often in this particular one.

Sugi is timid, soft-spoken, and polite. She is kind, and dislikes competing and fighting. Possibly as a result of her family's contempt for her, Sugi lacks self-confidence, but is very hard working. She is also incredibly empathetic. Generally, Sugi opts to think carefully before acting, and when she does manage to muster enough self-confidence, she can be surprisingly competent. But because she lacks self-confidence, she hardly speaks up, and often gets caught in the schemes of others. She has a dislike for fighting, which she'll gladly speak up for against anyone.

Sugi can befriend people very quickly due to her attitude, or because she is just too quite to have people hear her. She can be upset easily, and often will run and find a place to cry away from whoever upset her in the first place. Sugi is obviously a very emotional girl, especially when she has a crush on someone. She can hardly talk around the person at all, and finds herself doing something with her hands. She hardly has any courage to look at the person she has a crush on, making it harder for her if she was always with that person.

In battle, Sugi can be very fierce and protective of her friends. Although normally she lacks self-confdence to fight without teammates, when cheered on by people close to her, she greatly improves her battling skills. She even will use the Gentle Fist Style, which she normally never uses in a fight.

The gentle fist - The Gentle Fist style of combat is based on palm strikes and generally aims to damage the body's Chakra Pathway System, thus creating difficulty by inhibiting an opponent's use of chakra. To do this, the user will forcefully insert a small amount of their own chakra into an opponent's chakra pathway system. The chakra can then be used to rupture or divert chakra flow, preventing them from using jutsu. Any chakra based substance can be countered/destroyed by using the gentle fist style to force chakra into it. This is done by using the chakra openings in ones hands to shape their own chakra into needles which can cut through chakra itself. It can also be used to attack the opponent's internal organs, to which the chakra pathway system is closely tied. Even the slightest tap from this style can cause major damage, hence the name "gentle fist." Because the chakra pathway system is invisible, the Byakugan is required for this style to be used effectively. Since the Byakugan is unique to the Hyūga clan, it has become their signature style of combat.

The Byakugan is a Dōjutsu Kekkei Genkai, a genetic trait, that is shared amongst the members of the Hyūga Clan. Those that inherit the blood of this clan have almost featureless white eyes. It has two different settings, dormant and activated, both of which take a slightly different appearance from the other form. The normal eye for a Hyuuga clan member differs from a normal human eye. The iris and pupil are barely discernable with both appearing a milky white in color. The pupil itself is larger than a typical humans and it is outlined by a black region. The sclera remains normal except the larger size of the pupil reduces ones ability to view it. Once the eye is fully activated, the hidden iris becomes more apparent. Also when providing blood and chakra for the eyes' bloodline vision, veins will bulge lateral to each eye.

The first ability of the Byakugan gives the user a near 360º field of vision, except for one blind spot at the back of the neck above the third thoracic vertebra. The second ability is having the ability to see through solid objects, and can use a degree of telescopic sight. The distance and the degree of telescopic sight varies from person to person. This is often determined by both rank and skill. At the genin level it can reach up to 100 meters. At Chunin this increases drastically reaching out to 400 meters. At jounin this goes up even more to 800 meters. A Kage level Hyuuga is capable of seeing up to 2km in all directions. However, the third and one of the greatest uses of the Byakugan is the ability to see chakra, as well as the chakra circulation system inside another's body. It is from this particular ability that they are able to employ their ultimate attack style: Gentle Fist. (see Clan Traits above).

Kaiten takes advantage of several of the unique abilities of the Byakugan eye. Byakugan gives the clan member an almost complete 360 degree view of their surroundings. This allows the member to see all angles of attack. If an attack is near, the clan member will release a large of amount of chakra from their tenketsu. The member then begins to spin like a top, creating a whirling vortex that can nullify almost any attack.

When an opponent is within the clan members divination field of attack, they can quickly begin their assault. The technique allows the clan member to use the Byakugan eye to see the inner chakra coils system. Using the Jyuuken style, they can force their chakra through their hands into the tenketsu of the opponent's body through 126 strikes. First the clan member will strike 2 times, then 4, 8, 16, 32 and finally 64. This damage forcibly closes 64 tenketsu, stopping the chakra flow of the opponent. This then limits their opponents ability to use jutsu.

The Hyuuga are one of the oldest and most powerful clans in Konoha, being one of its two great Dojutsu clans. They aided in the founding of the leaf village, though played a much smaller role in its founding then the Senju and Uchiha did. They quickly established a high ranking amongst the ninja squadrons and became well known to all, just the mention of the Byakugan or the name Hyuuga wining an instant air of respect. Their clan is based highly on nobility and even with in itself has its own social structure.

The clan is split into two different families. One being known as the main and the other being the branch. This social division has always been their greatest flaw. The Main family often holds themselves to be higher up and more important then the branch family, and basically the branch is looked down upon like lesser individuals and sometimes even pawns which can be thrown away for the villages sake. To be looked at most appropriately, the Main are the Kings, and the Branch are the peasants. It even goes so far that a destructive seal is placed on the forehead of all Branch family members which can be used to instantly destroy a branch member if they do not follow the orders of the Main family.

In recent times, this wall has begun to get broken down, and the destructive seal is being used less and less. Cooperation is beginning to flourish between the two houses which is leading to prosperous outcomes. It is unknown if this will continue or if it is a momentary laps of peace. It will all come down to the heads of the clan for each generation, and it will be up to them to dictate which path will be taken, segregation, or unity.

Chakra Control - Because of the hard training she endured as a child, and the training she performed after leaving Konohagakure, Sugi has better Chakra Control. She is more precise when using the Gentle Fist style, mean she is more prone to having stronger chakra blasts sent into a Tenkestu. She also has a smaller chakra reserve than most genin due to the chakra control.

Vigorous - Because Sugi specializes in Taijutsu, she has to keep herself in a ver physical and healthy manner. Because of this, she heals slightly faster than another genin would, and falls ill less often as well. She is also well conditioned as well, but always needs to improve.

Sugi was born the the Head Household of the Hyuga clan. She was the middle child, and had an older brother and younger brother. The two brothers constantly fought, and Sugi took note and began acting as a peacemaker between the two. She never found any amusement when the two were fighting with each other, but her father told her that eventually she too, would act like that someday, someplace. Sugi was shocked to hear that, and soon enough, her father decided it was time for all three of them to start training together.

Sugi proved most adept at using the Byakugan, without being good at Taijutsu. Her elder brother was adept at both the Byakugan and the Gentle Fists style, where as the younger brother had less experience in the Byakugan, than he did in Taijutsu. Because of this, her father had her brothers train together, where as she would be taught the Gentle Fist Style by her father. This is where she changed greatly in her emotional state. Throughout her life, Sugi would always remember this one moment.

Sugi trained everyday, from dawn to dusk, without any break, she would spar against her father, both using the Byakugan, and Gentle Fist style. Her father felt she was making no progress, and decided to train her even harder. Sugi bega gaining more control over her chakra and in turn, began using the Gentle Fist Style, which would prove valuable, as she decided she wanted no more of this training. She warned her father what would happen, and he simply laughed.

One night, after a long day of work, Sugi was sent to the Academy as a result at becoming adept enough at Taijutsu. She did well for herself at the academy, maintaining better grades than both her brothers. Near the end of her time at the Academy, after she had learned all of the basic jutsu, she decided to leave Konoha. She, as a Hyuga member of the Main Household, had access to the Gentle Fist Style taijutsu moves. She stole the scrolls, and used the transformation and clone technique to escape. The clone would run right by the guards, giving the disguised Sugi a chance to leave the village.

For 6 months, after becoming a criminal the Konohagakure, Sugi decided to take refuge inside the walls of Amegakure. As she sought refuge, she began working to pay rent for a home, in which she would practice her taijutsu. Whenever she trained, she would keep the Byakugan activated to prevent anyone from approching her house without her knowing, therefor keeping her skills hidden. However, she knew she would have to leave eventually, as her neighbours exposed her for who she was to some local shinobi. She left her house, holding onto the scrolls and her next destination.

With ninja hot pursuit of her and the scrolls, she didn't know how to react. She just continued running, and running. She never wanted this, but she had been forced. She eventually wandered into Takigakure, and found refuge with a shinobi who promised to keep her safe. She promised to keep his home in best conditions in return, which she did. During this time, she had actually time to reflect upon her decsion for the final time, and decided it was for the best that she forgot Konohagakure and the Hyuga clan that she thought was family.

After a few more months and the fact she had turned 11, Sugi thanked the strange ninja and promised to never forget since a kind soul. She left, knowing that she had to seek refuge somewhere bigger, like Sunagakure, Kumogakure, or Kirigakure. Of course though, she stumbled upon the first choice first, and collasped from exhaustion before even reaching Sunagakure. She crawled out of despiration, feeling like she was going to be done with this life, when she was saved by some villagers.

During her time in the hospital in Suna, not only did she become a genin of the village, but also a welcome villager as well. Sugi had not seen such a response from people since her nice friend in Takigakure, who unfortunately was killed for harbouring Sugi. She would never know, as she never heard from him. She started her life in Sunagakure, and enjoyable one that would last her sometime, or at least she hoped for even that.
