River to Suna Vide
PostSubject: River to Suna River to Suna EmptyMon 01 Nov 2010, 12:30 pm

The following is travel thread on behalf of all participants in the recent war-games. No further posts need to be made and in 24 hours from now it will be assumed all those involved with have arrived in Suna. ~ Hugh

With the first round of the war-games over, the participants tired from their exertion and the looming possibility of a CE drawing ever closer the Kazekage sent word that Suna was to return home once more in preparation of pre-exam training. To this effect Suna’s might army gathered its belongings, dismantled its base of operations and packed their bags for the trip home. Under the ever watchful eye of Proctors, Jounin and the ever paranoid TSOKR Nin of all colours, creeds and ranks assembled on the drill square of Fort Hiroshi, ready for the signal depart.

Among the legions of Suna Nin stood the odd Kiri one, granted permission by the Kage to follow them home in recognition of the efforts thus far but only under the proviso that would not bring harm to the village or threaten state security. In both cases the TSOKR were taking no chances and watched over the rival village’s Nin like one might a fox among the chickens ever ready to strike at a moments notice. Though the Kage might not mind them returning with the army but they did not have to like the idea of armed strangers stalking their streets and did not trust them to keep to themselves.

The army of Suna left in stages with scouts out first to scour the routes for danger and ensure the column met with no problems. Next marched the vanguard, a unit of elite nin headed up by Kasumi, whose job was to defeat any force that might block their path and work in concert with the scouts to see to the safety of the column. Following this the main army travelled, fanned out in v shaped wings to limit the possibility of being caught on mass. In the centre of this group with the Kiri Nin, kept together to unsure they didn’t stray or observe too much of Suna’s tactics and operational procedures. Behind this followed the command staff and the temporary army headquarters and all it’s ancillary personal. Last but not least where the rear guard under the command of Sean, tasked to protect the columns rears and erase all evidence of the tracks left in its wake.

Time would prove such security was unnecessary for he Column didn’t encounter a single human life except for a caravan of merchants it easily avoided. The nations of the world were too busy to threaten Suna or too uncertain but it was good practise in any case. Within the Shinobi nations war was merely a question of when not if and so every action must aim towards a good performance when the time came. Though a little rough around the edges, the Kage had been pleased with his Nin performance and he believe they were now one step closer to achieving battle readiness. Not that battle was on the mind of these tired nin as the glowing skyline of Suna came into view with the offer of beer, baths and their loved ones hanging in the air.
