| Subject: Kinu's Taijutsu Training. [P] Sun 07 Nov 2010, 12:42 am | |
| Taijutsu Training "A left, then a right, then a kick! Pow-ow!" Kinu chanted while tying the final knot of his target onto the tree. Training days were always like this for Kinu, fun and exciting. How could it not be? A chance to learn some new techniques and once again test your limits as a Nin. Kinu really needed to train, its been so long since he'd actually had some time for himself and focus on improving his skills. After a discussion with his father Kinu decided to take his advice and practice on his Taijutsu rather then his Ninjutsu abilities like he usually does. During vigorous training with his father, it wasn't uncommon for Kinu to hear the usual admiration from his father about his fighting ability. His father always says hes a 'natural' at melee fighting, but Kinu never paid attention to it as much as he does apparently. Today he would focus on his fathers words and practice his Taijutsu though, and hopefully his skills with flourish into something worth training for. Developing some techniques the night before, Kinu had a solid idea of what to practice and what to practice on.
So the day was beautiful, nice clouds, shinning sun, the whole nine yards of your typical nice day. Everything was fine except for the spine-chilling winds the came occasionally from the mountains, but fortunately Kinu was disciplined enough not to let the cold get to him. It would have helped if he were wearing something more suitable for the weather, like a puffy coat and some long sweat pants. But like any other day he just wore his shorts and a shirt which he so called his 'workout' gear. Kinu didn't spend much of that morning getting freshened up like he usually does, he didn't comb his hair nor thoroughly wash to the point where he smelled like soap. He figured today he was going to get really dirty, so there wasn't any point to clean only to get ruined again. None the less everything else was set, he placed his final equipment where it needed to be in the training grounds for him to successfully get what he needed done. He positioned himself in the middle of an open area in preparation of the first technique in which he wanted to learn.

- Name: [Taijutsu Art: Dragon Stomp]
Type: Taijutsu Rank: C Description: The user of this technique rises his/her legs and infuses it with a small dosage of unstable chakra. With this combination of chakra and powerful leg muscles the user will rocket their heel to the ground and create a explosion of brute power. The kick is powerful enough to create a small crater of five meters and deliver a powerful explosion disrupting all opponents within the five meters. Everyone caught in the explosion will be blasted backwards even if the strike itself misses. Chakra control was something Kinu was fairly decent at and never had a hard time with. For this technique that he wanted to create he would have to use his powerful raw strength in conjunction with his chakra. "Alright." He thought while walking closer to a adequate sized tree at the grounds. Focusing his chakra to the soles of his feet, he pressed one foot against the bark and then the other. Eventually he walked up the tree with ease and stood stood effortlessly on its body. He remembered back when he first started to learn the Tree Climbing and the difficulty he had with putting too much chakra into his feet. He remembered that when he did that the bark beneath him began to break with the pressure, and he would tumble down like an oaf and try again. Having that much chakra in one place and focused on one thing was powerful, and Kinu would use that into this technique. Standing on the tree, Kinu focused more chakra into his foot with every moment. With his eyes closed he visualized his chakra flow becoming strong and sturdier, and eventually the tree bark beneath him began to crackle. He was doing it right, but the bark wasn't breaking as quickly as it needed to be. So with a final surge Kinu quickly jolted all the chakra to his feet instead of steadily flowing it, and this in turn caused the bark to completely shatter.
Quickly falling down the tree and landing butt first on the ground, his success was easily measured by his big smile on his face. He succeeded in breaking some a substantial portion of the tree base with his chakra, but that was only half the journey. Now he would have to work on his form to properly place what he'd learned in a taijutsu technique, the Dragon Stomp. Walking further into the woods, Kinu worked on what his technique would look like when in action. He lifted his leg up with marvelous grace, and quickly slammed it onto a pile of leaves. He did so repeatedly until the technique was as fast and deadly as he wanted it to be. On his last try, he finally infused his chakra into his heel and slammed it into the leaves. A powerful quake erupted from his foot, and the once settled leaves on the ground flung into the air and drifted back in the aftermath.

- Name: [Taijutsu Art: Ninja Thrust]
Type: Taijutsu Rank: C Description: This is a physical technique which simply is a very quiet method of knocking someone unconscious, usually from behind. Additionally, because the user is very silent, it cannot be defended against. The Taijutsu user of this technique will instantly hit the opponents neck with powerful raw force, knocking them unconscious. This technique could be used in conjunction with area coverage, providing a illusive unsuspecting knockout. The next technique that Kinu wanted to practice was the Ninja Thrust, a technique that his father actually wanted to teach him quite some time ago. Now that he had the time and will to learn it, he wanted to master this ability and demonstrate it on his father someday. First things first he'll have to adjust the dummy crooked dummy that hung from a tree by a thick rope around its head. Tucking more of its cranium into the rope he'd finally made it perfectly straight which was necessary for this technique. Requiring both Stealth and Accuracy this Jutsu will be useful to Kinu seeing as how it knocks a person unconscious with relative ease. Wanting to practice the stealth part first, Kinu ran behind a bush across the hanging dummy and hid there as if he were a expert spy. Hiding in a bush was more difficult then it looked, which could be proven by the small thorn pricking Kinu was receiving with every move that he made. Circling around the dummy and jumping from bush to bush, he made sure he was a quite and casual as could be. Besides the bush rustling, he hadn't made any unusual sounds that could expose him to the dummy, nor an enemy. Once behind the dummy it was time for Kinu to close the distance and strike it at the neck. This was going to be really hard for two reasons. 1.) He had to be unnoticed. 2.) He had to hit the neck at the right spot to rupture the pressure point. Remembering his research in the Academy, the point where he needed to hit was in the upper part of the neck, near the base of the cerebellum. After a few gentle steps out of the bushes, Kinu leaped at the dummy with hawk like swiftness. With a mighty swing, he chopped the back of the dummies neck and actually ripped it slightly. If that were a human, he was sure that they would be knocked out, but that didn't stop him from practicing a few more times.

- Name: [Taijutsu Art: Leopard Kick]
Type: Taijutsu Rank: D Description: A basic yet powerful kick in which the user will use in close combat. When close, the user will flex their leg muscles with sharp fluctuation and launch a undeniably fast power kick at the opponents chest area. Upon impact the users legs are powerful enough to rupture the rip cage and destroy the lungs or heart of the opponent with relative ease. Now it was time for a more straightforward attack that Kinu was excited to learn. The 'Leopard Kick' was a basic yet powerful kick that had enough force to shatter a persons chess area upon hit. It was quick, deadly, and mocking, everything that Kinu was. Using the same dummy that he practiced his last technique on, Kinu had to tape it back together after the repeated attacks he used on it previously. Taking a few steps back, he aligned himself directly in front of the stuffed dummy as if he were an opponent. He concentrated, and once he did that everything around him slowed. His vision was fading, and every sound that the forest had to offer was heard by his acute ears. He had to be patient, and must all force into one attack. Unlike his other ability that he trained for today, he would have to unleash all his might instead of just partial. Feeling the muscles in his legs, he started to flex them repeatedly to gain some momentum before his leap. In the midst of a totally quiet atmosphere, Kinu lunged at the dummy with speed relative to that of a flicker. He shot threw the air foot first with with deadly force. Once near the dummy he placed his other foot on the ground for support, and let his kicking foot shoot at the chest of the target without a thought of hesitation. When the kick landed the dummy was no more, everything below his head was shattered into small puffs of cotton, with his limbs flying in all directions around the field.

- Name: [Taijutsu Art: Silent Monkey]
Type: Taijutsu Rank: D Description: Kinu drops his guard and appears to be defenseless, waiting for the opponent to attack him head on. Once the target get close, Kuni will leap over and right behind the foe with extreme grace and speed. He will then twirl his body to gain momentum and deliver a devastating kick to the persons spine. A successful blow will paralyze the target entirely for four posts. The last technique that Kinu wanted to train for was the Silent Monkey, giving its name by the nature the technique itself. After cleaning up pile of mess that he'd created with the dummy, he walked back to the center of the open space with glee that his training was about to finally be completed. So how was he going to do this? In order to successfully practice this technique he needed someone to attack him. Then an idea hit Kinu out of nowhere, he decided to create a clone that could aid him in his training. With his brilliant idea set Kinu used a few hand signs and instantly a clone shifted into presence out of the shades. It walked up to Kinu blankly, and randomly smiled with devilish intent. Kinu smiled back equally and they both walked away form each other to gain some room. After a few moments both the clone and Kinu stood on opposite ends of the field, both equal to each other in looks and posture. The wind started to pick up and Kinu could feel the excitement taking form inside him. Illusion was an aspect of this particular technique, for Kinu would have to make himself appear vulnerable to his attacker. Kinu dropped his hands and looked down at the ground, as if a sudden depression came over him. His eyes narrowed and he stood limply while looking at his clone. His guard was completely dropped so it appeared, and that's when his clone came after him. He moved exactly like Kinu, with the speed of a Cheetah and the grace of a Swan. Kinu marveled at his own image as he came to attack himself, such ferocity. Once the clone was close enough, Kinu leaped up over the clone re-actively and delivered a quickly blow at the back of the clone, specifically its spinal area. Being only a mere clone his attack went through it and it completely dispersed upon contact. But none the less he had that move down, and he was ready to go home for today.
