♣ - ♣ - ♣ Hailing from the gem that was Sungakure no Sato; Tsukina Hara arrived at the eerie Kirigakure no Sato just a short time ago for the Chuunin Exams. While it was interesting to know she was now in the presence of her mother's original home, she couldn't waste much thought on that. Not that her mother would actually mind. So long as their daughter returned to them after the exams, they'd be just fine. The reason for being in such as village was work related. While it was true that Tsukina actually hoped to get some fun out of the visit; it was not number one priority during the visit to Kirigakure no Sato. It was true the kunoichi had passed the first part of the Chuunin Exams. Perhaps that should have made her a bit less tense, but she still needed to prepare herself for the second part, which would undoubtedly be more difficult and taxing. More usage of the body than mind; a more hands on approach. It was only to be expected, really.
It wasn't very long at all before the morning of the second part of the exams rolled on by. With just the right amount of sleep and nice hotel services; Tsukina awoke rather peacefully. Until her brain functioned properly, that is. After realizing the day of the next part of the exam had come, the green haired girl was a little on edge. She was excited, but anxious and somewhat stressed out. It was only natural, right? She dressed as she normally did. Short sleeved white belly-shit, orange cargo flak jacket with matching orange cargo mini-skirt. Instead of the standard shinobi shoes, she wore brown flip-flops. On the eccentric side, Tsukina rested her most beloved red tinted goggles along her lime green hair. All her ninja tools stayed put in her white hip pouch as they should; that being the last of her morning preparation before leaving.
The only thing that had disappointed her so far was the lack of a scrumptious breakfast. Anyone that knew the girl well would know that Tsukina held quite the large appetite. So, you can imagine how dull just two slices of toast were. Hopefully, that would only be the thing to disappoint her. The closer she approached her destination, the more her conflicted feelings from before washed over. Excited, stressed, anxious, and pumped. It appeared their second exam was partaking at a river. The sound of gentle waves hitting the various stones within the stream was almost calming. The very stones placed upon the water were needed in the second exams. She was to use them to get to the other side. Simple enough, yes? No, it was much more complex than that. I mean, of course it was. The Chuunin Exams was no walk through the park.
Tsukina was to use one stone out of each row to reach the other side. Walking on Water Technique and Tree Walking Technique; banned. Even should she fall, she was encouraged to strive once more. Placing her red goggles over her green eyes; the kunoichi stared at the stones before her with a blank expression. 1, 2, or 3? That was the question. Another question; what secret little 'treasures' did they hide from her? They couldn't have been just normal stones, after all. She was to treat them with caution. With a small wiggle of her nose, she decided after stone one. 'Let's just go for it.' the green haired girl thought to herself while jumping towards stone one with her athletic legs.

| Tsukina was a brave girl indeed if perhaps a little foolhardy thought the onlooking proctor. He smiled as he knew she would all too soon need to test far more then a determined mind. Lithe and athletic she meet be but soon enough she would learn how quick she had to be on her feet to survive. The seal stone made no reaction at first to this attempt but then it did not need to, everything as it were would take care of itself. Trix's own momentum threatened to be her very downfall as she hit the stone and instead of coming to stop she hurtled in a sliding skid towards the water bound edge. The surface of the stone was akin to slick ice, frictionless and without grip whatsoever and any moment the skidding Genin would run out of stone to skid on. The problem was magnified all the more since there was no room to correct her position enough to potentially launch herself to the stone beyond. The proctor looked on appraising wandering what if anything the young genin could do to save herself from an early swim |

♣ - ♣ - ♣ It was no lie that Tsukina expected something deviant to be awaken from stone number one upon landing. However, what the stone had activated was something she couldn't say she expected to happen. She had anticipated something more up front; more offensive. Yet, she found herself skidding across the stone as if it were ice. Their was no friction nor grip. She had to react quickly, but in all honesty, within the few seconds of frantically looking for an idea; she thought of none. Tsukina was going to fall into the water and accept that. The only thing that was ever so worrisome now was if she continued sliding the way she was, by time she landed in the water, it wouldn't be completely absurd for her to inflict a head injury. So the green haired girl lunged for the water whilst skidding, also making quite the splash while she was at it.
Tsukina had to admit, she was a bit embarrassed by the situation; having missed her first attempt. Her cheeks burnt and they turned just barely pink, but this was no time to boohoo in front of proctors. She just needed to keep moving and treat the next stone with much more caution and precision. The water was somewhat cold; gentle waves still coming and hitting against the green haired girl whether she liked it or not. Her goggle-clad eyes shunned the water effortlessly and continued to hold an intense gaze at stone number four; the fourth stone being the only one available to her. Tsukina wasn't going down without a fight.
She took a large inhale of air and began swimming over to it, neither particularly fast nor particularly slow. Just as the first stone had appeared; stone number four looked... Well, just like an ordinary stone. It was rather the facade, of course, but it looked like one none the less. Tsukina glared at it's innocent appearance behind her red tinted goggles as she approached it. Within a reasonable proximity, the Sunagakure kunoichi placed both of her wet hands upon the stone; just preparing to pull herself up, but slightly hesitant to see if anything abrupt happened.

| The proctor long in wonderment at the genin's stone choice and began to wander if perhaps he should have warned. The test rules were clear, no proctor was to lend a hand to any participant on pain of death or at least having to bath Mr Bigglesworth which was mildly less pleasant then the latter. That said they were told to avoid fatalities where possible and the proctors was genuinely worried since the stone in question or rather what had been a stone until the genin had got within a foot of it setting off the summoning seal was not in the least bit friendly. Number 1 might be slick but nothing was as grumpy or irritable as number 4. Instinctively he made a quick prayer to kami as the girl reached out for what was the rocks edge to pull herself up. Maybe Kami was listening or the girl was just lucky but the rock rolled slightly easing her up making her task all the easier before settling for a moment. He began to wander if the brute was sleeping and perhaps this was the genin's lucky day but down it shock again causing the genin to stumble for safe footing and come into contact with a rock like profusion at one end.
Snappy was big, snappy was irritable, snappy was giant snapping turtle. He was grumpy that water wasn't warm enough, grumpier that he kept being summoned but grumpiest of all that someone was standing on him. In breakneck speed he began to rotate hoping to unsaddle the poor genin. As if this was not bad enough each time he was only his back his neck crept out of his massive stone like shell to reveal a giant horned beak capable of ripping flesh from muscle eager for a tasty snack. If Tsukina thought a slick stone would be her downfall she was in for a shock of a life time |

| ♣ - ♣ - ♣ Surprisingly able to lift herself up onto the ever so welcoming stone number four with relative ease; Tsukina considered herself somewhat lucky that no abrupt threat jumped out at her the minute she had settled onto the tricky skipping stone. She was completely soaked and a small chill coursed over her body, but that was just a small price to pay for getting through the exam. Her eyes remained thankfully dry and resistant to the liquid blue. Being fully alert now as water continued to roll and drip off her, the striving kunoichi was certainly more warily. Tsukina stood but found the stone to go against her as it slightly moved around. Promptly, the green haired girl acted for some safe footing. The water mocked her and glistened as if to invite her back into the water. She literally let out a hiss in return. 'Something tells me that this isn't actually a stone...' the Sunagakure Genin thought despite taking a great displeasure in the idea.
As if to confirm the girl's thought, skipping stone number four rattled and shook under her weight. It would appear that a certain grumpy turtle was now acting as the surface she was on. He proceeded to rotate viciously, attempting to make the girl to loose her balance. She jumped up in a last minute effort, avoiding the water, but landing flat upon her bottom onto the spiteful turtle's underside. She winced; that'd surely leave a bruise. "Holy Kazekage!" she couldn't help but to exclaim. I mean, weren't turtles usually slow? That proved wrong in this case, obviously. To further prove the malicious state the turtle was in, he went on in trying to bite Tsukina as if she were a scrumptious and delightful snack. Her green eyes enlarged to the size of tea cups behind her red goggles. To think that stone number one was deviant just seemed foolish now! Her feet flailed as she scooted backwards in the slightest with distress. The turtle's mouth barely grazed against her left foot and Tsukina just about lost it.
All the kunoichi knew is that she needed to get off this turtle and onto the next and hopefully less dangerous stone up ahead; a grumpy snapping turtle wasn't going to get in her way. Well, it already had, but it wasn't going to prolong her any longer. With a sudden rush of more motivation, she glared at the reptile. "RAH!" she yelled thoroughly irritated with the animal as it came into dangerously close contact with one of her feet once more. "Eat this! Bad, Turtle! Just leave me alone!" she swiped her left flip-flop off; the very one the turtle had already almost got, and proceeded to throw the shoe into the turtle's face; specifically, it's gaping eager mouth. With a huff, the girl then sprung to her feet, albeit almost loosing her footing once again due to the wet nature of the surface she was on. Acting as if the turtle was a diving board, the Sungakure Genin jumped up and then landed quite hard onto it's underside, sloshing more water on them both, then lunging her body over the reptile's head and onto the next stone.

Tsukina was getting awfully wet the Proctor noticed, though the way she handled the overgrown handbag was noteworthy in itself. Sometimes it was not always possible to get passed unscathed, sometimes you just need to knuckle under and do what you could. Given her bad luck so far it was with a fair bit of trepidation that noticed which stone she was heading to next. Of all the stones he was of the opinion this was the worse and the only one had not been able to do himself, least not till learned the secret and even then he hadn't risked. Terror can have powerful effects on others and if the girl thought a grumpy snapper was dangerous she clearly not met one of the Kazekage personal creations. More commonly used in the Jounin exam the proctor was of the opinion that the stone should not have been included but the Kazekage instructed it to be added as last minute addition, and he was one to question the will of the temperamental tyrant. Poor little genin he thought
As Tsukina approached she noticed a shadow in the water surrounding it which rather alarming got ever bigger until 10m away a monster from some ill begotten ancient tale reared up from behind the stone and roared. The thing was a demonic squid like creature, vast, terrifying and hateful. Its huge flailing purple tentacles moved in jerky terrible motions and it radiated unnatural amounts of daemonic chakra. The turtle had been menacing by all accounts but compared to this thing it was practically cute. The worse aspect was lurking right next to the stones top itself, a gaping maw over 2m's wide lined with 1000's of groaning razor sharp fangs capable of shredding flesh and crushing bone. The thing was a creature of nightmare, a challenge for a whole team of skilled Jounin let alone anyone else and probably deadly for a genin to go anywhere near but the tests instructions where clear. Orders are orders after all. What was she to do?

| ♣ - ♣ - ♣ Purple: A color Tsukina wasn't very fond of. In fact, she rather disliked it and refused to ever wear the color and found herself disliking most things colored purple. A giant, malevolent, dreadful, wicked creature colored purple definitely wouldn't change that, either. Not to mention it was a rather demonic appearing squid like creature; flailing and jerking it's large tentacles around as if it were a toddler with ants all along it's arms. To think that Tsukina had actually convinced herself that it'd get better before it got any worse. It roared at the kunoichi; nasty and taking it's role as a terrifying monster quite seriously. If she wouldn't have been staring at it, wide-eyed and frightened, she would be sneering at it's gross, off-putting, tainted, slimy look to it. While that was all very disturbing, it didn't compare to the gaping atrocity that was the squid's mouth; complimented by rows and rows and thousands of razor sharp teeth. Their was no doubt that they were quite capable of tearing her limb by limb, making her a delicious petite snack for the wicked sea creature with a foul attitude. They were in the way of her sanctuary, her precious 'Side B' of the second part of the Chuunin Exams, the one and only safe place in this whole stressful procedure.
Her throat felt almost closed off and she took a big intimidated gulp. It reminded her of when she would get into her claustrophobia induced panic attacks. She stood at the very edge of the stone, farthest away from the death trap that was the beast's mouth in a frozen state of mind. Her green eyes blinked hard, before she let out a high pitched girlish scream; a large flailing purple tentacle sweeping the girl off her feet. She was lucky she didn't hit face first upon the stone, though scrapped her knees instead. She hissed in displeasure with the burning sensation of the pain. The slimy wet feeling behind her legs felt rather disgusting, too. The kunoichi scrambled to get back onto her feet as the purple squid growled and roared viciously, none the less. It was only then Tsukina realized how odd it was maintaining balance with only one shoe. She wobbled at first, having jumped back onto her feet. The green haired girl threw three kunai at the beast; one for each of it's two main tentacles, and one towards it's mouth. They activated with a few clouds of smoke and a few subtle booms, but sadly seemed to do very little effect against the brutish squid. If anything, it only appeared to have made the malevolent slimy beast all the more angry. Once again it roared and growled, but with an ever growing sinister aura radiating from it. That left her with seven kunai and one explosive tag awaiting to be used in her still wet hip pouch. Would those really prove any more useful than the ones before it, though? The Sungakure Genin was really not liking the situation she was in. She needed to get to 'Side B' and this rabid sea creature was clearly not making this any easier for her! Whoever had set up this part of the exam was beginning to appear as quite the sadist in the kunoichi's eyes. Little did Tsukina know it was actually her Kazekage that had added Stone Eight at last minute. That was beside the point, though.
The beast made another move and swung one of it's tentacles at the green haired girl, once more. She barely ducked in time, letting out a held distressed breath. Did it even have a weak point? Was the mouth it's weak point? It was such a big risk, but did she really have any other option? Tsukina had already spent plenty enough time in the water and was sure that didn't exactly make her grade any higher. Plus, she hadn't even really attempt in affective approach against the first stone. Her heart beat accelerated, having already feeling as if it was beating out of her chest as she let out a sharp distressed exhale, sucking up the courage to go through with an attack. She threw another explosive tag laced kunai into it's mouth, watching it explode before she suddenly ran and jumped in after the smoke that began to leave it's mouth; fist ready and sparking with lightning. The kunoichi just wanted to get to 'Side B' like any other Genin.
