" Here I am, sitting in my room all alone while other genin are having the time of their life at the chuunin exams. While everyone else I know is out there getting stronger and achieving higher ranks than me I'm stuck in this god forsaken village with no one to keep me company. This is just great." Zilva said to herself as she laid sprawled across her bed while the sun was rising. She had been up all night with these thoughts in her head of how lucky all of the other genin were and how un lucky she was. This state of sulking and mild depression had been going on ever since the rest of the genin in the village left for the chuunin exams. Not only had this been pre-occupying her thoughts, it was also causing her to neglect eating or even moving half of the time thus resulting in the state of sickness that she was currently in. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and Zilva's mother came in. Zilva's mother was a very beautiful woman who shared a lot of physical features with Zilva while her sons seemed to take after their father. She had silver hair like Zilva but much longer and large olive green eyes. " Whats wrong Zilva?" She asked in a tender and loving voice. Pulling herself from he laying position and into a fetal position, Zilva sighed and replied, " It's not a question of what's wrong, it's what is right... and nothing is right now..." She said.

" Well, if theres something I learned in life its that if you think something is bad then it is. This works the other way too. If you look at something from a positive point of view, it will look better." Zilva's mother said in the same sweet voice. " Well, I don't see anything good about this. I'm stuck in the village with nothing to do while everyone else is out working hard. It just isn't fucking fair..." Zilva sighed, rolling over to face away from her mom. Zilva's mother was the sort of person that stays calm and collected no matter the situation. Although this calm stature is thought as of a universal state to others, Zilva knew the one thing that could turn her mom from a caring parent to a raging boar. This thing was, of course, cursing. No sooner had the word "fuck" slipped out of Zilva's mouth, her mom stood up and called for Zilva's dad in order to punish her. " HONEY! SHE DID IT AGAIN!" She screamed like a siren. Zilva knew that this vice was one that her mother couldn't stand yet events like these came to be very common in her house hold. The word slipped out of Zilva's mouth and she cringed as soon as she realized she said it. That siren like scream was what Zilva feared the most in the world, it meant she was about to get lectured.

" DON'T TELL ME SHE DID IT AGAIN?!" A booming voice yelled from the hallway of Zilva's room. At the sound of this voice Zilva curled up even more and began to prepare for what was to come. No more than a second later, Zilva's father entered the room. Unlike her mom, Zilva's father was extremely muscular and looked like a beast when compared to anyone else in the house. Zilva's mom was a very frail looking woman while her dad was more like a bronzed elephant. "WHAT DID YOU SAY THIS TIME ZILVA?!" he screamed when he got into the room. This scenario had been played out in the 'Tarok' household many times and Zilva has tried to play a passive part in them but found it to be the worst thing to do. " Yes, I did. I said the F-word. I said fuck." Zilva said calmly as she stood up and walked towards her window, " And now your just going to go on a long bitch fest about how I shouldn't say that while using the same words. Geez, your so predictable.".

Zilva's father was so baffled by Zilva's response that she was already out the window and in front of the house before he began to scream so loud that it could be heard from where Zilva was. With a sigh, Zilva started to walk down the streets of Kumo towards the administrative building after spending a few hours at the theater to allow the sun to reach its peak in the sky. Since she couldn't go back to her house until her dad cooled down and she didn't have anything else to do, Zilva decided to go see what odd job she could do for the village. This of course meant whatever missions the village needed done that a solo genin could do.

After walking for a considerably long amount of time, Zilva came to the administration building and strolled inside. The place was so empty that it felt like an abandoned warehouse. Instead of the usually chattering teams and mission clients there were spacious clearings. This of course was due to the chuunin exams currently going on. " Ugh, the entire village is just as boring as my bedroom!" Zilva sighed as she walked towards the mission acceptance desk. " I'd like to take a mission. My name is Zilva Tarok, genin." Zilva said in a cordial voice when she reached the counter. " Wait, a genin? I thought all of you genin were at the chuunin exams." The man behind the counter said while searching a shelf behind him that was full of scrolls. Instead of exploding in anger like she usually would have, Zilva just clenched her fists, grinded her teeth and waited for the main to get the mission scroll.

"Hmmm, looks like the library just got a new shipment of books that they need help sorting. Sounds like a pretty easy thing to do for a young girl like you." The man said as he handed Zilva a scroll with the mission details. At this point, Zilva was seething with anger due to the "young girl" remark the man made. " You know, sometimes it's the smallest things that pack the biggest punch." Zilva said to the man with a paper bomb in her hand before turning on her heel and stomping off. With the scroll in hand she walked to the library plaza of the town and went straight into the large multi floored building. The large library was something that was new to Zilva; being from a rich family, she bought all the books she wanted and then put them in her room to read. For this reason, the idea of renting books that everyone else has used was both strange and pointless to her. Walking up to the front desk, Zilva was greeted by an old lady with red curly hair. " What can I do for you?" The lady asked Zilva in such an artificial tone that Zilva feared that she may be some sort of puppet. " Umm, yeah... I'm here to help you organize some books that just came in." Zilva said as she tried to peer behind the lady to see if there was a puppeteer around. " Oh yes, you must be one of the few ninja available to help... I was really expecting a strong boy to aid with some heavy lifting but I guess I'll just have to hire some workers." The lady sigh, turning around and signaling for Zilva to follow.

" Sorry to burst your bubble lady, but I'm twice as strong as any of those wimpy boys! I can lift whatever you need lifted, don't count me out! In fact, don't get any workers, I'll do all of this work by myself!" Zilva told the lady as she followed her. ' Sexist bastard!' was what Zilva was originally planning to say but the day had been a good one for her anger management abilities. " My my, aren't you an independent girl! All right then, heres the books. Don't worry too much about organizing them, I have other genin upstairs doing that. Just get these to the top floor of the library. Have fun deary!" The lady chuckled as she veered of the path and into a back room revealing a pile of boxes full of books to Zilva. " Oh boy..." Zilva sighed.

At first glance, the pile of book boxes seemed overwhelming to Zilva and she fell back and leaned into the wall behind her. With a large sigh, she slid down the wall into a sitting position and stared at the work in front of her. " Well, I mine as well get it over with..." Zilva said with a sigh as she slowly stood up and walked over to the boxes. Actually taking a good look at the stack of boxes made Zilva re-evaluate how much work needed to be done. Although there were many boxes, a lot of them were only partially filled and could be put together into one bigger box. After realizing this, Zilva made this the first thing on her list to do. Slowly but surely, Zilva moved each book individual, in order to not damage them in any way, into bigger boxes. When this task was done the overall job ended up looking a lot smaller.

What used to be a large pile of boxes were now all packed into three large boxes. It would of been an easy task to carry these boxes up to the top floor if it weren't for one problem, their size. The boxes were considerable bulkier than Zilva and although she considered herself tough, Zilva wasn't sure if she could carry the boxes without aid. Sighing, Zilva decided to sit down for a while before moving the boxes two stories up. That was when something more intimidating than the boxes in front of her was heard. Zilva's stomach growled loudly to remind her that she hadn't eaten anything for at least an entire day. ' Shit... When did I gt so hungry?! If I don't finish this job soon I'll be nothing but a walking skeleton!' Zilva thought, horrified at the thought of having to ditch the mission just because she was hungry. Quickly, Zilva jumped up and walked over to one of the boxes. With a large grunt she wrapped her arms around the huge box and lifted it slightly off the ground and began walking towards the first staircase. After a few exhausting minutes Zilva reached the star case and began to push the box up it. Once the box was up the first flight Zilva already felt completely depleted and fell to the ground. " There has to be an easier way to do this..." She sighed to herself with her face in the soft library carpet. After a good minute of breathing in carpet dust, Zilva came up with an idea and jumped up. Putting both of her hands on one side of the box, Zilva began to push the box. Finding this much easier Zilva used this method all the way to the top floor.

" Well... looks like being hungry affects my thought process. I guess I learned that lesson today." Zilva said to herself as she ran back down to the other two boxes. Suddenly, yet another great idea hit Zilva; an idea that would make it even easier to push and carry the next box. Digging through her bag, Zilva pulled out a large magnet that she used to replace the magnet on her gauntlet if ever needed and some wire. Using the wire Zilva tied the magnet to the side of the box and then un-sealed her gauntlet. Since she had tied the magnet to to the box with the south pole of it facing out and her gauntlet's magnet also had the south pole facing out the two magnets repelled and aided Zilva in pushing the box. This course of action proved much easier than just pushing and the second box made it to the top in record time.

By the time Zilva had walked back down to the third box she had yet another plan to move the boxes. One that she couldn't believe wasn't used in the first place. Walking over to the box Zilva wrote a glyph on her hand and sealed it into her palm. After doing this all that was left to do was walk upstairs and unseal it. Not surprisingly, the third box was the easiest to move up the stairs. After doing this, Zilva stayed upstairs to meet the other genin that were working to organize all the books. When one walked by she was about to say hello but then she saw the name of the book he was holding, "History of the Halberd". The reason this books stood out to Zilva was because she owned a copy of that exact same book. " Hey, you!" Zilva said bluntly as she grabbed the genin's shoulder. " W-w-what? Did I do something wrong?" The genin replied, startled at the sudden act of aggression. " Where did all of these new books come from?" Zilva asked him. " The Tarok family donated all of them. Mr. Tarok came in and dropped them all off." The boy said after calming himself down. " Let me see that book!" Zilva yelled as she snatched the book from the boy's hand and opened it. Thats when she saw it, her signature right there where she always put it to mark her books.

Anger and sorrow consumed Zilva and she threw the book back to the boy and stomped back down to the first floor of the library. She was about to exit the library when the familiar voice of the old lady she had first met halted her, " Hey! Come over here! I have something for you!" the lady said. With a sigh, Zilva turned and walked towards the lady. The lady looked a lot happier then she did earlier and she held in her hand a small box and a book of some sort. " I heard your stomach growling so I made you a little snack for your walk home. I also went and got a book for you that I think a girl like you should like." The lady told Zilva as she smiled softly. Zilva's bad mood washed away almost instantly at the thought of food and a good book. Happily, Zilva grabbed the book, ignored the title, and began reading. " Chapter 1, 'There they were, two lovers in the greatest chapter of their life...." Zilva read loudly at first but progressively quieter as she went on. A few seconds later Zilva's face flashed red and she closed the book. " What the hell is this you old pervert! Here, I don't need this!" Zilva said to the lady as she held the book away from her. " No really, I think you'll like it. Just keep it with you and maybe read a little during your free time." The lady replied with the same soft smile she had before. Reluctantly, Zilva walked out of the library with the book and the snacks and began walking home.

The snacks were eaten quickly so Zilva decided to run home in order to get to more food faster. When she got to her house she was greeted by the guards and escorted through the front yard to the house. During this escort Zilva curled her arms around the book in order to prevent anyone from seeing the title and get an idea of what it's about. When the guards finally left she sealed the book into her scarf and ran to her room, locking the door behind her. When she was safe inside her room, Zilva retrieved the book, flopped on her bed and opened it. " Chapter 2..." Zilva read out loud before losing herself to the will of the text.
