[b]History:[/b] [center][table border="1"][tr][td][img]http://i64.servimg.com/u/f64/13/24/39/85/ninthf10.jpg[/img][/tr][/td][/table][/center] Kumogakure used to be home of many small tribal clans during the early years of shinobi civilization. Among these small tribal clans were the Yasumi, were known for their manipulation of the clouds. They were the smallest clan compared to all of the other clans that were settled in Kumogakure, which this would lead to the reason as to why Kumogakure, or whomever is occupying the land, would have any information or history of the clan. The story of the Yasumi clan is very interesting as it started off with one man, and a dream to someday help spread a legacy to the world, but in the end, this legacy died out and soon in the present day very few shinobi of this clan exist.

Hundreds of Years Ago...

A man, in Yasumi legend his name was Taichi, Tsukate. He was nomad that once had no family, or place to call his own. He was also a wandering shinobi. He later settled down in the present day Kumogakure, married a women named Yasumi, Matsumi. After about one year, they had a child.

This child had the ability to manipulate the elements of suiton and fuuton, in no other way a shinobi could. His name however was Yasumi, Kono. He grew up to marry a member of his mother's clan, and then his children did the same with both his father and mother's clan until the Yamasashi family was soon recognized as a clan themselves. Kono soon became the leader of this clan after his father died and soon set out on a quest to have the Yasumi become the strongest clan in the shinobi world.

Kono soon had the clan try to start a rivalry with the Uchiha. The Yasumi clan created a alliance with the Senju, and soon, a great battle took place in which the Yasumi were betrayed by the Senju after they had helped them win their battle against the great, powerful Uchiha clan. This quickly lead to the demise of the Yasumi Clan, just as quick as it had started, it had ended. Some clansmen however survived the outbreak retreated back into Kumogakure, where they promised they would stay and be protectors of the land for eternity.

Present Day

Today, very few Yasumi clan members exist. They are only found to exist in Kumo, and Kumo alone.  You can find few of the Great Yasumi temples in the tall mountains of Kumogakure.
