The Diplomat arrives! | Check Up: B-Ranked Mission. | Isamu Senju and Ahora Sousakara.

Isamu wandered through the western village gate of Kirigakure no Sato. His mind was at wonder, it had been a number of years since he had visited this Hidden Village. The light rain was a little more concentrated over the village. Isamu wondered whether this was because there was more chakra inside the village which affected the rainfall, or even if the rainfall itself was in fact a jutsu and not natural at all. "It would be a good way to scour the village." Isamu thought to himself. Jutsu seemed to have no bounds at this moment in time, so it was foolish to doubt any shinobi. The water from the rainfall landed on his black suit and just ran off it because of it's waterproof properties for which Isamu was thankful. The Kazekage really was an intelligent man, able to create seals capable of almost anything. Knowing he had made it to Kirigakure no Sato a little early, Isamu wasn't quite sure what to do with himself. He didn't want to turn up at the Mizukage's Tower unannounced and just enter, especially because he was early. Thinking about it, the Mizukage's Tower was a very tall and slender building which seemed to penetrate the clouds covering the village. Isamu knew that somewhere in there was the man he needed to talk to; Arashii Nakamura. Isamu stared at the tower for a few moments, the rain lashing down on his head and down his shoulders. It wasn't like Isamu, to be unsure of himself. He stood in the village entrance, the four chuunin guards keeping an eye on him warily, in case he tried something. At first glance, Isamu had to applaud Kirigakure's military. He had seen far more shinobi to civilian ratio here than he had in any other Hidden Village he'd been to in his lifetime. His eyes steely, Isamu was annoyed at his own confusion. He didn't want to look stupid and just stand around, so he began to walk up the main street of Kirigakure, towards the Mizukage Tower. He just hoped the messenger bird he had hired had delivered his message and someone was coming down to meet him. He didn't particularly fancy walking into the Mizukage Tower unannounced...

The hawk whistled ever so slightly, alerting those in the general vicinity of its whereabouts. It had been travelling for only several hours from its boat ride and it was in pristine shape, casually gliding amongst the perilous rain drops with nothing but a tiny tube clutched to its left talon. The bird sighted its location and the messenger beam it was required to land on and slowly but surely commencing its decent. There was quite a crosswind lingering amongst Kirigakure's internal structure and the hawk had quite some difficulty maneuvering into its destination of the Mizukage's Fortress. The bird turned hits head more acutely and began folding its wings in tighter, the landing should only take several seconds and if the hawk didn't time it correctly, then it may just injure itself.

Arashii had to duck out and run a small errand further downtown, so he needed Ahora to sit tight in his office and sign off on some papers. Oh how convenient it was to be aide to the Mizukage and to have perfected his signature to a tee. It took some work off the Mizukage's shoulders so he could interact more with his subjects, his people; the shinobi of this village. Her feet were casually resting upon the large table, with her hands on her lap clutching 30 or so mission briefings and biographies of ninja. She was promptly reading each and every detail of the papers when the faintest of whistles could be heard through the sheet of falling rain. "Ah. I think I may be having a visitor soon enough," Ahora said to herself before standing up, approaching the window and awaiting the hawk to land on its perch.

The bird's talons smacked into the wooden perch hard, causing the hawk to wobble ever so slightly, however regaining its composure. Ahora knew what it was, a messenger hawk; nothing more and nothing less. Her fingers acted swiftly, retrieving the contents of the tube and placing it before her eyes. "So who do we have here.. Suna Jounin. Isamu .. Senju? A Senju.. residing in the Sand Village, How perculiar. Mhmm. Approaching the gates and needs someone to escort. Bonus! I can stop this mindless work." Ahora thought pleseant, giving the hawk a gentle scratch near its beak before patting its head and allowing it to fly to its owner. Ahora pivoted on her heels and burst out of the door, through the corridor, down the stairs, through another door, down the long hall and eventually out the main door where she continued her path through to the main gates.

The rain fell gently onto her cheek, neither irritating nor bothering her in any form. She belonged to the water country where water, rain and mist were like sun - they were ever present and she didn't mind. She was 50 or so meters from the entrance to the gates when she noticed a man wearing a black suit and with the sand hitae-ate around his waist. Ahora wasn't straight on with the Sand shinobi and the way she was approaching the gates meant that she didn't know who this shinobi was. It wasn't until she saw the four chuunin guards that her suspicions were confirmed. They were all in awe of the new shinobi and when the chuunin guards eventually noticed Ahora, they all began pointing at the ninja.

So. This is my contact. Cute, Ahora thought to herself as she turned slightly and approached the Jounin head on with 3 or so meters to spare. She stopped before the ninja and smiled before speaking, "Welcome Isamu, to the Village Hidden in the Mist. I'm Ahora, Jounin and Aide to the Mizukage. For what do you grace us with your presence, might I ask before I take you to meet Arashii? She stood there, half staring intently at the shinobi, half checking him out whilst she waited for his answer.

PostSubject: Re: The Diplomat arrives! [Mission: Check Up] The Diplomat arrives! [Mission: Check Up] EmptyMon 20 Dec 2010, 7:30 pm

Isamu felt like the center of attention, something he didn't exactly enjoy. Due to his formal attire and his Sunagakure headband, people took extra notice of him, a tourist, it seemed. The Chuunin Guards were now all but staring at him, something interesting to break up their long and boring day of watching over a village which was unlikely to be attacked, simply because of how intimidating it was to anybody who was foolish enough to even think about renegade. Isamu even overheard them talking about him, as a group of young female shinobi passed him, whispering and giggling frantically to one another. "Oh my god, look at his biceps!" Isamu watched as the girls walked away, unaware of his steely glare on the back of his heads. Self-conciously looking at his arms, Isamu saw they were covered up by his suit and shirt, so he wondered how the girls could even see them. "Are they taking the piss, or have I just worked out more than I think?" Isamu wondered to himself, getting more and more frustrated at this village by the minute. Another thing which was building his frustration was the fact he had to hide it and make it look like he was enjoying his stay here in Kirigakure no Sato. This mission was getting rather tedious now, despite the fact Isamu had been anticipating his arrival here for the past few hours. "Nothing ever lives up to your expectations." he thought to himself, almost sadly.

It was for those reasons that Isamu's lips curled up into a genuine smile when he saw a female shinobi walking down the street, about fifty metres away, looking straight at Isamu. He turned his body slightly away from the Chuunin, so even in his peripheral vision, he couldn't see them gawping at him. This move made his body look much more welcoming to the female shinobi, as if he were preparing to embrace her, though he doubted either party would enjoy such contact. However, his body language made him as a person seem more welcoming to the approaching ninja. Her hair was brown and medium length, flowing freely behind her and whipping around gently in the wind. She was above average height and had a slender build. Isamu could honestly say this woman was attractive to him, but as usual, he supressed these emotions. Now was not the time. If he could perhaps build a professional relationship with the woman first, then he would even consider considerng anything of that sort. As the woman got closer, her eyes flickered up to where Isamu knew the Chuunin were standing, albeit just for a moment. Isamu resisted the strong urge to look behind him and see what they were doing. He didn't want to turn away from her and seem unprofessional or rude. Looking directly at the woman, Isamu kept the smile on his face. Eventually, she stopped, three metres away from him. These proxemics were slightly more distant that what Isamu was used to. His smile faded marginally. "Welcome Isamu, to the Village Hidden in the Mist. I'm Ahora, Jounin and Aide to the Mizukage. For what do you grace us with your presence, might I ask before I take you to meet Arashii?"

Her voice was professional and it was easy to tell she meant business. Isamu immediately got this impression this was someone not to mess with. "Thank you for your warm welcome." Isamu started. "I'm sorry I didn't explain the reason for my visit in the letter I sent ahead, I was in rather a rush. I am here on a mission in place of the Kazekage, for diplomatic reasons, to make sure the bond between our villages is as strong as we hope, especially considering the Genin we have staying here, during these Chuunin Exams." Taking a step forward, closing the large gap (which he was rather uncomfortable with) between them as he did, Isamu continued. "Your village is one which radiates strength. You should be proud." He gestured to the buildings all around him, built to perfection, without a brick misplaced. Whilst this village was very different to home, Isamu could truly appreciate it and he knew he wouldn't have any trouble staying here for a few days.

He held himself high, in an extremely proper and appealing manner. Something told Ahora that he was serious when professional. yet with the edge of being playful. However something within his eyes told him he felt strangely uneasy within the walls of the Hidden Mist. Fair enough though, as he was like a needle in a haystack of razor-sharp hay; If he offended the wrong person, or cut the wrong dude's grass - His chances were slim. Regardless of if he was Suna's most elite ninja other then the Kazekage, a mob of very angry Kirigakure citizens have the ability to defeat anyone, Ahora included.

His response came quickly, "Thank you for your warm welcome. I'm sorry I didn't explain the reason for my visit in the letter I sent ahead, I was in rather a rush. I am here on a mission in place of the Kazekage, for diplomatic reasons, to make sure the bond between our villages is as strong as we hope, especially considering the Genin we have staying here, during these Chuunin Exams." Raindrops rolled down her soft face, pooling at the edge of her jawline before taking gravity's course and continuing its pointless journey into a drop on the pathway. The rain gave her something to concentrate on ever so slightly as she thought to herself, Mhmm, I had thought as much. The Chuunin Exams.. I had forgotten them and their fame in the known ninja world. Gosh, seems like so long ago. Ahora's mind began to wander before Isamu continued on, "Your village is one which radiates strength. You should be proud."

Ahora noted briefly as Isamu took an inconspicuous step forward and making that particular statement a tad more friendly. However, she had to cut in, "Uhh. You're right about the village's strength, however it is not MINE. That can be put down to Arashii's calculating skill, with a bit or two chucked in of my own talent; however with his leadership." Ahora spoke short and precise, making sure her latest statement hit the spot with the Jounin. However surely enough it clicked back into her head the fact that Isamu was here for a purely friendly-oriented visit. Her mind rushed fiercely attempting to fix her latest statement however nothing could seem to stick. As such, her best attempt was to just completely change the subject.

"This rain is awfully cold and as you can see, my layers are awfully thin." This much was true, the cream-white gown she wore was beginning to become see-through and she wasn't quite prepared to become overly-friendly with this stranger, despite how good-looking and charming he came off as. She continued with her speech, "Well I had better get you to meet Lord Arashii before you keel over with hypothermia." She gave off a cute little smile to the jounin, imagining him racking his brains over what 'hypothermia' was, hot desert people just wouldn't know.. she thought before turning on her heels, beckoning with a graceful wrist and hand gesture before leading the way onto the fortress. She had one final thing to ad before they reached their destination, "My room is on the lowest floor of the Fortress and I'll be either there, in Arashii's office doing his job or out roaming the streets. If ever you're bored or need a tour-guide, please don't hesitate to let yourself in." She wasn't attempting to come off as a complete slut. She just wanted to have a bit of fun.

PostSubject: Re: The Diplomat arrives! [Mission: Check Up] The Diplomat arrives! [Mission: Check Up] EmptyWed 22 Dec 2010, 7:14 pm

As Isamu took a step forward, Ahora seemed to turn slightly rigid and cut in rather quickly. "Uhh. You're right about the village's strength, however it is not MINE." She put an unusual amount of emphasis on this word, as if trying to prove a point. Or perhaps she was just a patriotic woman. That was something Isamu could understand clearly, if it was the case. "That can be put down to Arashii's calculating skill, with a bit or two chucked in of my own talent; however with his leadership." Ahora seemed very close to Arashii as far as Isamu could gather. He wondered if there was some chemistry there, but then decided it was none of his business and stopped his mental thought train in it's tracks. Isamu thought he must have been out of line somewhere, as Ahora looked affronted, angry, confused and downright uncomfortable. Isamu kept his stature still, he didn't want to give off the same aura. He waited patiently for what was only half a second, it that. He only noticed these emotions flash across her face and body language because of how alert, analytic and speedy his reactions were. It was then that Ahora completely changed the subject, as if she were aware of how evasive she had been just a moment ago. But it didn't bother Isamu. Sure, he was physically attracted to the woman, but he did not believe in love at first sight, nor did he know enough about her personality to make any kind of informed decision about her. The fact he was even thinking about this was foolish, but it was a good way to keep the smile on his face genuine.

"This rain is awfully cold and as you can see, my layers are awfully thin." Ahora stated, breaking Isamu's train of thought for the second time in their short conversation. But he didn't mind. Wondering if she was trying to seduce, Isamu had to exert more caution than usually necessary to stop his eyes from dropping from her gaze down to her slender body, which he had only seen once, when she was approaching. It surprised him that he couldn't even remember what she had been wearing, simply because he didn't give a shit. He had been concentrating on other things. "Well I had better get you to meet Lord Arashii before you keel over with hypothermia." Ahora continued, keeping Isamu's gaze where it was, for the time being. At the use of a word Isamu didn't distinctly recognize, he rummaged through his brain to find a meaning. He had never heard the use of such word in Sunagakure no Sato, but it sounded phonetically familiar to one he had heard on his travels. He was sure it was something to do with the cold, but as to what, he had little clue. But it mattered not, what mattered was Ahora was now moving. He saw her flash him a cute smile, which made his own widen. Then, she turned on her heel and began walking up the street of Kirigakure.

She beckoned him forwards with her left wrist and he oblidged without even thinking about it. Keeping a footstep or so behind her, they walked a few yards up the street before she spoke again, breaking the silence (apart from the gentle pitter-patter of raindrops on the roofs and their bodies.). "My room is on the lowest floor of the Fortress and I'll be either there, in Arashii's office doing his job or out roaming the streets. If ever you're bored or need a tour-guide, please don't hesitate to let yourself in." she said, completely tempting Isamu. As they were walking, he was barely taking in his surroundings like he would have done normally, considering this was a diplomatic mission for his village, but he was selfishly thinking about his own needs above those of his own. It disgusted him, but he did not stop. He spent a while analysing Ahora's last sentence, tossing and turning it in his mind whilst he followed her, keeping his ears pricked in case she decided to say anything more. Isamu could honestly say he had not felt this kind of attraction to a woman so quickly before. It was very hard for him to fall a few more footsteps behind and ogle at her ass as the muscles contracted and compressed as she walked with her sexy swagger. In the end, Isamu did snap out of it, taking in as much of the village as he could during the final moments of their quiet walk together, neither one talking. It was going to be a strange stay, Isamu knew that already...
