| Sugi moved quickly through the blazing hot desert as she took off from Sunagakure. She had recently decided to attack Kirigakure for no apparent reason at all, but felt it would be a test of bravery, strength and pure will. She, of course felt compelled to do this, felt the need as she rushed through the desert, eventually meeting the River Country's beauty. As she dashed through it, she would occasionally stop to view the many beautiful rivers it had, as she darted through it. She decided to set up camp, obviously needing to stop for the night and rest up. She didn't take long to unpack a sleeping bag, which gave her a plentiful amount of time to stare into the skys. She had time to reflect, continue deceding, and whether she would ever overcome her weakness. So, this is it, I can go to Kirigakure, fight and most likely die becaue I am just weak, she thought. I've always been weak, always been such a failure, my father tried to warn me I shouldn't have tried to be a shinobi, I earned change, but never recieved it. Maybe someday, someplace it may change for me, she thought before finally drifting away. Unfortunately, she wouldn't know that some wild racoons would decide the thief. What they thieved, would be her food and water supply, something she'd need.
When Sugi awoke, she awoke to unwrapped, half eaten food and damp ground. Obviously to her surprise, her supply bag had been ripped open. At first, she thought it had been racoons, but she changed her mind when she saw a sleeping bear. What to do, what to do, she thought as she got up slowly, and began walking away, leaving everything on the ground until the bear slammed it's paw on the ground, sending Sugi into a quickly movement of running away as the bear rolled over. Sugi had only thought she heard the bear attack, out of pure fear, and ran back from where she came from, Suna. But Sugi hadn't drank anything for a while, and barely slept last night. She didn't take her time, but she didn't get back to the Wind Country quickly either. She got there by nightfall, and it was freezing cold. She didn't have anywhere to sleep, and her body temperature began to drop rapidly. She continued trudging onwards, grasping the knowledge that she would find some sort of shelter in a cave or between a rock and a hard place.
At least now I'm staying out of the cold, Sugi thought as her entire body shivered as she sat in the dark cave. She activated the Byakugan, because she wasn't very well at seeing in the dark before she felt a sharp prick to her right hand. She jumped up, noticing a scorpian on her hand, the stinger buried in it, and then a shriek followed it as she swatted the bug away. She then proceeded to step on it. She didn't know it then, but the Scorpian had a fast acting poison that would travel through her body, imobilizing her before death. She breathed deeply, and moved out of the cave. Trudging slowly back to Suna, her body began. First, it started in her fingers and toes. Moving inward through the blood vessals began the paralysis, and Sugi could feel it. She could figure out why, breathing heavily and speeding up the poison's spread through the body. I can't reach, whi was I so ignorant, she asked herself, her lips overcome by the effect. She then collasped, dead.
(I know I said I wasn't going to suicide again, but I need to get out of my repeating series of shy and quiet characters.) |

| It was a hectic day in the sand village and due to this Kakougan was stuck on gate patrol. Usually Kakougan wasn't given jobs that involved interactions with civilians due to his frightening appearance, but since the day was so hectic and there were so many people entering and leaving the village, Kakougan was forced into the position. It was midday and the sun was high in the sky, scorching the desert beneath it. Kakougan was standing on top of the gate in order to watch the flow of civilians going in and out of the village were all safe and also watching for any suspicious ninja. So far, it had been a simple job and nothing was going wrong in the entrance to Suna. The only complaint Kakougan had with the people entered was the high concentration of sinners in them. Suna was known for those sorts of things which was part of the reason Kakougan stayed in the village, to save it. So, as the the people came into the gates, Kakougan would say a prayer for every one of them he knew would be going to hell if they didn't change their ways. ' Hell must be getting full...' He thought as he continued to prayer for the lost souls.
After a a few hours of constant prayer and watch over the gates, something caught Kakougan's eye. Amidst the groups of people leaving the village there was a suspicious looking child. She seemed to be carried quite a few supplies as she dashed out of the village and into the desert. When she moved away from the crowd, Kakougan caught a glance of something that raised his concern to an even higher level. This object was a headband. ' A genin going into the desert alone with that many supplies? Something isn't right.' Kakougan thought as his eyes trailed the genin. Although he wanted to trail the genin as soon as he saw her, his sense of duty momentarily lapsed his judgement. After a few minute pause, Kakougan jumped down into the desert and began to run in the direction he saw the genin run. No thoughts went through his head as he dashed off towards the genin, there was nothing he could think about. Usually Kakougan wouldn't of gone out of his way to look into someones personal matters, but this was different. Kakougan had the feeling that the genin didn't plan on coming back.
After following the trail for a while the desert wind picked up and the trail was lost. Kakougan found himself traveling in the same direction that he had left the village whether or not the genin changed direction. It was getting dark so Kakougan decided that he'd better sleep for the night. Climbing on top of a rock, Kakougan sat cross legged and began to sleep with the desert wind on his back. In the morning, Kakougan awoke and noticed that there was a cave off in the distances. ' Maybe I can find some clues there... maybe some signs of a camp.' Kakougan thought as he rose and ran towards the cave. Inside the cave was a dark atmosphere and Kakougan could distinctly smell one thing, death. Walking further into the cave, Kakougan found what he suspected, a dead body. The body of the genin he had seen leaving the village, now dead on the cold cave floor. " You children today... so misguided." Was all Kakougan said as he lifted the body onto his shoulder and began back towards the village. |
