| justtheB A S I C SName: Tesuto, Shinji Secondary Title: No Karitori Wa Egao - The Reaper of Smiles Age: 26 Gender: Male Physical Appearance: Shinji has medium length, straight blonde hair which reaches the base of his neck and has a fringe that cuts across his face just above his eyebrows. The one distinctive aspect of his face is his mouth which features a slight overbite; a feature that he does little to hide. His hair is always neat and tidy as is every aspect of Shinji physical appearance. His complexion is just darker than what people would consider pale and is virtually flawless save for a few small scars dotted about his arms. Shinji eyes are an icy blue, capable of the kind of gaze that makes more than a people weak at the knees. He is of average height, coming in at just under 178cm. With a build that is slender thanks to his lack of time for exercise as well as simple laziness, Shinji could be described simply as just another ordinary looking guy in an ordinary world.
Shinji's choice of clothing matches his personality, being both eccentric and practical. During day to day life, he always wears a light grey trench coat over a black dress shirt, light grey trousers and a white tie. He generally forgoes wearing his flak jacket as it’s ‘completely ineffective and is more effective as a placebo than an actual protective device’. The coat, shirt and tie themselves are nothing remarkable, fashioned of fairly average materials but tailor made to fit Shinji's slender frame. A pair of well polished black leather shoes completes this 'day outfit'. This oddly formal outfit gives the impression that one is being approached by a harmless businessman rather than a deadly shinobi.
When he is expecting combat, Shinji switches to a more practical outfit, switching out the dress shirt, trousers and tie for a dark grey, one piece, form fitting suit made of a slightly elastic yet durable material. Over this is worn a sapphire blue mantle which partly obscures his flak jacket as well as a pair of heavily worn leather boots and gloves, both stained with a midnight blue dye.
Personality: Shinji is, for lack of a better metaphor, like an onion; multi-layered, disliked by those made teary by the outside and appreciated by those determined few who make it to the delightful centre. To those easily swayed by first impressions, this young man will come off as cheerful, flippant, carefree and borderline annoying. Never one to steer clear of a joke, Shinji is famous among the general population for, among other things, his often stupid and immature jokes. It is not uncommon for one to hear this young man being chided for his occasionally inappropriate sense of humour regardless of whose company he's in.
Despite this cheeky attitude, Shinji still remains respectful to almost anyone no matter who they are. He doesn't believe in making people earn respect, instead choosing to hate them if they ever lose his respect. Few people have made themselves an enemy of Shinji as he is incredibly patient. If you somehow do manage to piss off Shinji, the most likely retaliation will arrive in the form words as he does not consider anger alone to be a satisfactory reason for violence. He will however retaliate with violence when he believes it to be necessary as not attacking when you need to is just plain stupid. That's the reply he gives when asked about it anyway.
However, those who manage to dig under the cheeriness and stupid jokes see Shinji in a different light. They see that the cheeriness is merely a way to distract whoever he happens to be conversing with away from the fact that they are still standing next to a person trained to kill. They see the smile as an effective sedative, the manners as camouflage for the barbaric nature of his work and the bad jokes as bait for luring unsuspecting enemies into a sense of false security.
When the time to fight actually does arrive, Shinji transforms into what appears to be an entirely different individual altogether. The normally emotionally charged and energetic joker disappears, replaced by a calm, methodical and merciless combatant acting on intelligence rather than impulse. Despite retaining the polite demeanour, Shinji doesn't hesitate with his words when they can be used to his advantage, exploiting past experiences, current relationships and future aspirations. all the while maintaining his customary calm, slightly amused expression.
To those who have fought by his side, it is well know that Shinji is an excellent tactician, capable of planning out entire battles before they occur. This can however lead to him losing a battle when an enemy displays surprising abilities as he is incapable of predicting such instances and hence cannot factor them into his strategies. The use of this talent is also very time consuming as it requires him to mentally go through every (known) possible course of action for all the combatants, choosing the most likely one and devising a strategy to counter and eventually overcome them. The one thing which separates Shinji's strategies from the rest is the fact that they are all practical and proven. None of them are considered 'theoretically possible' as Shinji considers theoretically possible and impossible to be pretty much the same thing.
And where does all this ability go? Behind that devilish grin of his of course. To those who can truly say that they know Tesuto Shinji, he is acknowledged as belonging to a rare breed of killer; those who hide behind a mask of carelessness and bad jokes.

Ranshinshō - Important Body Points Disturbance Type: Ninjutsu - Medical Rank: A Element: N/A Description: By converting a small amount of chakra into electrical impulses and hitting an opponent's brain stem, the user can disrupt the regular flow of electrical signals from the target's brain to other parts of the target's body. For example, if the target tried to move their right arm, their left leg would move instead. Medical use/Bastardized use: This jutsu can only be used by medical-nin as it requires extensive knowledge of how the human brain and nervous system operate.
Shosen Jutsu - Mystical Palm Technique Type: Ninjutsu - Medical Rank: A Element: N/A Description: This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by sending chakra from their hands into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it highly useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. This jutsu is capable of healing any injury with the exceptions of amputations and the replenishment of lost blood.

Kirigakure no Jutsu - Hidden Mist Technique Type: Ninjutsu Rank: D Element: Suiton - Water Range: Mist covers an area with a radius of ten meters Description: This displacement technique is a specialty of the Ninja from Kirigakure, where one causes a mist to spring forth by lifting up some water, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan-user will see the mist colored by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the doujutsu.

Name: Piero Rank: A Description:Piero was the very first puppet Shinji ever created himself so it's design was originally very simple, consisting of basic mechanisms and materials. However, as the young man's skills have improved, so has Piero's design. Gone are the previous wooden limbs and panelling and in their place reside high quality steel, hollowed to reduce weight and hand painted a dull brown to maintain the appearance of their former selves. Constructed to be a predominantly offensive puppet, Piero's physical appearance is that of a monkey complete with prosthetic hair and teeth. However, like everything else on the puppet, these components are not all they seem. The hair is made up of extremely fine metal wire, curled to give the illusion of real hair and the teeth are made of extremely strong steel, allowing them easily bite through wood if required. Piero's torso, essentially a block of steel that has been hollowed, features a hatch on the 'chest' that conceals an array of projectile weapon launchers. The entire torso is also mounted on an central axle, allowing it to rotate a complete 360 degrees. The limbs extending from the torso are also mounted on similar axles, providing them with a phenomenal amount of flexibility. The joints on these limbs are highly agile, allowing Piero to achieve a degree of mobility normally unobtainable to humanoids. The downside to this however is that these joints are more exposed than is usual, making them more susceptible to damage. Name: Hitoya Rank: B Description: Hitoya, being an almost exclusively defensive puppet is predictably large in size. Crafted from a single huge portion of redwood tree trunk, Hitoya is shaped like a great turtle with it's body dyed a deep green and it's limbs stained a dark grey. Mounted on it's shell is a thick bar of metal that resembles a folded up Japanese fan in appearance. The bar itself is painted a bright red with it's edges trimmed in gold. Apart from this attachment, the only other components of interest are Hitoya's mouth which hides the launcher Hitoame no Ranpu and it's nose, the covering of which retracts to reveal Kuragari no Arashi. The remainder of the puppet is simply solid wood over which has been added a covering of standard grade iron for added durability and a slight resistance to fire. A deep purple in colour, this powder exudes a very strong odour resembling that of freshly cut roses. Rarely used offensively, Mahi no Inku's powdered state is almost exclusively dissolved into water for use as a liquid poison. Highly soluble, the wearing of gloves while handling is essential as the poison can dissolve into bodily perspiration, causing infection and mild symptoms.
Liquid State: In this state, Mahi no Inku appears as a light purple, waterlike liquid that is semi-transparent. With an odour resembling that of rosewater, this poison could very easily be mistaken for a perfume given its appearance and scent.
