Description: Philosophical wise, this style is quite known to be comparable to water and air.. Water is essentially the element in which it takes the shape and form of its container. It holds no solid stance and continues to flow easily and calmly. Like air, it moves freely also having no shape and form and it flows easily and without stop.

This is the same for this style of martial art. It is a style that holds no style. Like martial artist of the past, they achieved to master the style without learning any more than what they should. However well these martial artist came to master said art, it seem that this was the nirvana. They reached perfection.

However, several users of taijutsu over time saw this repeated pattern among the samurai, the shinobi, the monks and the martial artist who partook in hand to hand combat and saw that there should be a style in which there was no style, no limit, no reaching of plateaus and perfecting of no one style. This simple philosophy was taught to many but understood by little and it is a rare practice to this day. Butoukai Mugen is the philosophy in order to obtain no nirvana, no perfection, to become a ‘jack of all, master of none”.

Butoukai Mugen has the basic mixture of high kicks and low kicks, punches, blocks, understanding of the upper game (sparring while standing) the understanding of the lower game (grappling, throwing, wrestling) and forms. The Butoukai Mugen is one to be rumored to never let anything hold you back. The thought of getting killed because one didn’t have the courage in order to cheat is something is what makes this style very unique. Over time, this style had become a favorite of some of the more “controversial” taijutsu users. They never seem to hold back into hitting behind the back, the hitting at spots are at the most weakest, the usage of other unorthodox

Jiyuu’s Butoukai Mugen has a style seems to mimic dancing. The objectivity of his Butoukai Mugen is to fool the opponent with seemingly erratic movement that appears to show no control at all. Examples would be spinning on his back while letting loose of legs, extending outward to kick the area around him or standing on his hand and kicking as if he was punching or spin using his hands while extending his leg out (like a split). Other examples are the using of handstands, back flips, break dancing and free running. His style incorporates styles that mimic the fighting style from the islands close to sea country where the form of dancing and fighting were tied into as one. This involves a lot of gymnastic and acrobatic finesse.

What makes his style unique is the style can adapt to not only other martial art styles but to the environment as well. He is not only self-aware of his own body and where his body parts are but he is also aware of the environment that surrounds him. The uses of anything around him like a railing from a stair, a tree branch, etc. Nothing seems to avoid his grasp as long as he able to grab it. The user uses all types of environment in order to achieve success in a match which includes wide open spaces, city environments, forest environments, water, earth and other around the area. When it comes to tight spaces, Jiyuu can change from erratic and free flowing movement to hard and sharp movement using the hands. This part of the Butoukai Mugen is more focus but still sporadic and random.

Name: Shinryakuteki (meaning aggressive)
Emphasis: The first emphasis of using the knees, the elbows, the fist and the feet. This style uses the hardest part of the body as a blunt weapon. The second emphasis involves dim mak points or pressure points. Together, the emphasis is combined in order to create powerful strikes at precise parts of the body.
Requirements: Ones body must be conditioned to an extreme level and must have a understanding of the human body
Description: Out of the taijutsu styles that exist in the world, one might include Shinryakuteki as one of the most aggressive, violent and probably one of the few deadliest styles in the known world. The origins have been lost over time. Legend has it that a man who wented by Dim Mak wanted to seek the deadliest style created a style that very few men could even obtain and understand, where man would have the hardest time in defending such an ability and such an style that it would be considered dangerous.

The style consists under two direct forms that deal with suppression and fatality (internal and external). They both tie into each other but they are separated into two categories. The first style is the part where the three points come to align with fatality (external). These three points are considered to be the part of mobility (both hands and feet), the part of connection (this is would be considered the connection of the elbow and the knee) and the part of stability (the arms and legs essentially). What this man had in mind was to strengthen the body well enough in order to utilize the body as a complete and utter weapon. The man compared his body to as a ‘hammer”. This power allows blunt force towards opponent’s external body dealing damage with bones and partly of the muscle.

This is anatomy and physiology where the bones break down and then rebuild it back up. The calcification of the bones begins to become as hard as concrete making the body extremely durable. In basic training of the bones must begin to break down and build itself back up. Training would begin punching very solid object repeatedly, not only breaking down bone matter and rebuilding it but also killing the nerves. Nerves do take a very long time to regenerate but over time the nerves will begin to die away and the body will not feel the superficial and deep pain one has.

It focuses heavily on finishing off opponents with swift but powerful attacks. Examples would be a jump shin kick. The person will jump into the air and instead of the feet connecting to the body, the shin will initially drive itself towards the opponent causing hard blunt damage towards the opponent. Another example is the high knee raise in which the user will jump up toward the opponent but instead of extending the leg, the knee is the use of a hard connection that would drive the opponent back.

The second category involves vital points among the body. The phrase is usually the body is very fragile. This category of fighting gave us the science of pressure point fighting. It appeared to have its origins towards water country which may hint of the whereabouts of how this fighting style came to be. In the second category, vital points are essential for suppression, Dim Mak points (vital points) of the body can be seen here



This part combines the points of acpuncture where certain part of the body can effect the entire system if needed can cause injury leading to death. It is not only fatal but can be used as a way to relax the body and massage painful spots

This part of the category was developed during the per se legend of the Shinryakuteki years in old age. He had become a peaceful man over this period of time and settled down in a village where he farmed closed to fire country. When those wish to challenge him came by, he would use the techniques of the vital points in order to suppress those who did harm to him. He did not wish to kill but he surely made sure that those same people would not try to attack him again. By understanding the physiological aspect of the body, he began to draw diagrams and techniques of this style though his hope was that he would let it die with him as his request was to let the scrolls of his teachings be spread across to places far unknown. This is how the teachings were spread out.

Jiyuu utilizes the Shinryakuteki’s deadliest aspect when he feels in the need of killing. This style isn’t just aggressive. This is an understatement. What came to teaching Jiyuu was that these two fundamental concepts could tie into together. It was meant to not only toughen up the body but also to dispatch attacks quickly onto the opponent, to strike when the time was right and to not only be wild and random but also precise and deadly like a snake .

The main reason is that this jutsu not only utilizes not only the fire element, but also the potent Sookato chakra. This is essential an upgrade of the chakra bomber attack. In a nut shell, Taku brings both his fire and clan's chakra into his hand(s) creating a swirling ball of both chakras which mix into a brand new chakra of pure plasma. As soon as the ball gets to the desired sized, it must be released to hover in the air, as it mixes and turns into the new form due to its intense heat. It must sustain itself for a few moments before it suddenly grows to heavy and crashes down into the ground. As it crashes into the ground, its mass spreads outwards in a circular direction for 35m radius (70m diameter). • Description: This is an extremely diverse and powerful technique, inspired by the wind blade jutsu that some wind users like to use. It can be used in two different ways. The weapon does not need to be chakra conductive as Jiyuu simply wraps the veil around the weapon. Using this he can also levitate the weapon by manipulating his chakra and control them through the air via hand motions. The second way he can use it is by simply creating a single blade out of chakra not around another blade which is good for a one time attack but he can create many in rapid succession. In this way they look just like a 4 foot arc of chakra, and like the wind blade, cannot be blocked except by a ninjutsu or similar technique.

• Description: To use this jutsu, the user must make several hand/signs and then slam their hands on the ground. Instantly a pulsation of energy will spread out which does not cause any damage or have any effects to any individual. However, when it reaches twenty meters across from the other side of the pulsation, it will shoot up and create a dome shaped cage of chakra. Jiyuu can use this so that he is within or on the outside of the cage to use it. However, he has to keep his hands on the ground the entire time. While Jiyuu's hands are on the ground, he can heal any damage done to the cage by surging more chakra into it (a C rank amount per area equaling a 1 meter hole. In this way, even if the cage is breached, the user can keep them uncaged, but the chakra cost can be devastating to the user. A floor will be created about six inches under the ground, to make it look like underground escape is possible, but is not actually. The chakra for this technique is solid and not destructive, becoming calmer and more controlled via concentration. To escape from the technique, the user will have to use chakra attacks of their own. For nin it will have to be C rank to damage it, and for taijutsu, it will have to be B ranked to crash through it. Normal ninja tools or weapons will be simply turned away, while special weapons (those imbibed with some sort of unique ability aka influenced in some way by chakra, need be only C rank to pierce through and create openings.

• Description: This is an advanced Sookato technique and is easily one of their most valuable. When the user uses this jutsu, a veil of chakra will wrap around them, however, it will float on them, not actually touching them for that would kill them. As the veil is made of the destructive Sookato chakra, most taijutsu is ineffective against the user when he uses this jutsu. The only way to get through is by destroying it with ninjutsu or taijutsu which utilize chakra in some way. However, like the chakra cage, Jiyuu is able to repair the damage to his armor by surging more chakra to the point of entry. He can also change the density of bits by weakening the other. The chakra armor does not cover the soles of his feet as it would deteriorate the earth he walks upon. However, he can have it cover his soles should he wish it, but it is not an automatic thing and costs more chakra. A D rank ninjutsu will weaken it considerably, and a C rank will destroy it but in turn be canceled, leaving a gaping hole at the point of impact. B rank and above will leave the gaping hole and do damage equal to a rank lower than the actual attack, meaning that the attack was weakened slightly. With simple Taijutsu (attacks not utilizing chakra) it will simply turn such attacks away as well as with basic weapons. However with advanced taijutsu (any technique using chakra, it will have the same effect as with ninjutsu and the effects existing at the equal ranks. concerning weapons it is quite simple. It will turn away weapons that are not contained with chakra aka have any special attributes. However, those that do are completely immune to the veils protective capability and are capable of piercing through it albeit the attack will be slowed slightly and the force of each blow will be lessened a tad bit. It takes a C rank amount of chakra to keep this jutsu activated for every post after it is used.

• Requirements: Sookato Clan
• Description: This is just like the Chakra Veil in principal, except it is applied to another person. It can be used on ally's for added protection, however, it cannot be healed unless Jiyuu is in direct contact with it so it generally is only good to take a few extra attacks unphased. If effectively used on an enemy, Jiyuu can then lock their body down with the chakra by manipulating it and restricting or controlling their movement by controlling the chakra. It takes a C rank amount of chakra to keep this jutsu activated for every post after it is used.

• Name: Pillar of Generations
• Rank: B
• Element: N/A
• Requirements: Sookato Clan
• Description: Using this jutsu, Jiyuu will surge chakra through his feet and along the ground towards an opponent. This is one of the few non-destructive Sookato techniques. When it reaches the feet of the target, a shimmering circle will light up around them and then shoot a veil of chakra straight up about 5 meters, (roughly 15 feet), high. Anything cot in it will have its tenketsu points (chakra points), clogged with Sookato chakra quickly removing any ability to utilize chakra for jutsu in the first two posts. After that it will have dissipated enough to where jutsu of C rank jutsu can be used on the third post after being hit. On the fifth post it dissipates more allowing them to use enough chakra for a B ranked attack. After the Seventh post, the clogging is completely gone and any jutsu can be used normally. The chakra can be remove through certain jutsu such as the Rotation technique of the Hyuuga clan by surging pure chakra through it to push it out.

• Description: This jutsu utilizes the Sookato Chakra in a thinner manner so as to make it non destructive. This is used much the same like pillar of generations except it is even thinner and cannot even be seen because it is so thin. When used, it will flare up around the target. They will notice a slight increase in temperature, even though this is really not the case, it just makes it seem to them almost like it is more humid, actually just containing a bit more heat trapped into their body then normally in the open air. This thin chakra void around the person will disrupt all chakra sensory or sight skills so that the person affected will not be able to see or sense chakra for the next two posts.

Description: Knowing the heritage of his background of being one of the few living Sookato, Jiyuu has utilize the ability of pure chakra manipulation. With the raw chakra flowing through his body, he is able to utilize parts of its power into his physical being in order in enhance his physical strength. When seen, the black chakra begin to pulsate around areas like the fist, elbows, shins, feet or other points of the body in order to physically augment his strength. When chakra flows through these spots and when Jiyuu comes into contact, he is able to cause serious damage towards an object (Depending on the object. Objects that are more natural towards the earth shatter easily while metal takes a bit more damage for it be fully destroyed)

At A rank level, he is able to flow the chakra all over body. What’s needed is a source for the chakra to burn because of its corrosiveness. Through control, he targets the food he had eaten prior and then the adipose tissue of his body in order for the chakra to be fully utilize. During these three post, Jiyuu's physical attributes have increased by 15%. As stated this mode of the Black Fist can only be use for three posts due to the lack of fat he has on his body. After his fat stores have been depleted, it’ll start to eat muscle and after this mode, he is mildly weaken due to loss of stored adipose

Natural Abilities: This is a customize set of body weight set that gives not only restrictions but also a type of armor against blunt protection. Due to Kumogakure's technology of deception, the appearance of the body weight looks extremely light but it is in fact four times heavier according to Jiyuu’s body weight (This is all together, not separate).

The color of the suit is entirely black (which might hint his other favorite since he has alot of attires in black). Here, there are a total of twenty slots that can be filled with weights. So far, there are only ten that are filled. These small weights deceptively heavy and ten can equal to four times. It can carry a total of eight times accordingly to Jiyuu's bodyweight

For a while, it was a problem for the pants removal. From the looks of it, it seem you would have to take off your pants and remove it (needless to say that was the first prototype). However, there are latches that can be attached or unattached. When the latches unattach, Jiyuu can slide the bottom half from the sides rather than inconvient. The vest can simply be unzipped and it can fall to the ground

The little things that man thought was something of minute interest became something more during that time. Nineteen years ago, the conception that took place between Sookato Taku and Jiyuu’s mother was thought only to be a one moment encounter. The time where the two lusted for each other and brought said lust into being. Even through lust, creation can be spawn and the conception of the two children that would grow inside the mother would then bring forth something new and powerful. Once, this clan was said to be extinct. They said that there was only one left and that was Taku. Could he imagine that there would be more that came from his loins? This was probably not a thought that pass through the young sixteen year old but that’s the beauty of it. Even through a simple and what thought, innocent encounter brought forth life and it is all good in the eyes of those who love creation.

It is said that the mother only bore one child. The child name would become Shitsumei Ibuki of Sunagakure. He came into the world with loud cries that howled through the small residences. His fiery red hair and deep ocean blue eyes could only bring joy towards a mother who was in hearing, for the first time, life coming out from her. But this was not all that came from that womb. No, there was another. A small head pressed out of her and out came another child, boar of raven hair and sapphire eyes who did not cry out at first but rather stretched his arms out to the world. In those tears, the mother could only exclaim joy at the time. Even at such a young age, she could not have been happier. Oh, the happiness could not last for her. No, for within that few moments where she could hold her two babes underneath her chin, she was probably the happiest mother to ever live.

It was not long before it was known that there would be a revival of the Sookato clan. There was that fear, the fear of the unknown that drove the family of said mother of the Sookato children to separate the two children. The father, a stern man who was ranked a jounin among the ranks in Sunagakure who was just as fearful as any person to know that they had a Sookato within their household, told the daughter to separate the three altogether. If they wanted their family to stay save, they would have to separate them. How difficult it was for the mother; the decision of separating her from the three from each other was not an easy task for her. She prayed that she could change her father’s mind of keeping the children with her but when her prayers were unanswered. The mother of the Sookato mother wished the father to numb the pain for her.

“Please” she begged the night before the separation of Jiyuu and Ibuki “Should I watch and see my child suffer through it? I can’t force her to give away those children. That’s too much for a mother to bear”

The father was sitting down, soothing his forehead with his hand. This last two months has been one of the rougher than he thought. He believed it to be simple at first glance. It even seemed simple when he thought it up and wrote it in his diary. But the practice was something of a hassle for him. With the pressure he was getting from the council of wind country to eliminate the children at all cost, it was all on him.

“Isn’t there something we can do?” the mother fretfully asked “Can’t we send the children somewhere and we have some sort of contact?”

“Impossible” the father said and that’s all he said on the matter. He remained silent for a long a time and the mother could only hold her tongue. She looked in the room where the mother of two children was sleeping. She looked so peaceful she thought to herself. To ruin her peace…may God forgive us for what we are about to do

Sitting in a corner was a man wearing a cloak around his body who held the insignia of the cloud around his head. He had dark-skin with short black hair and purple eyes that are noticeable in the dim lit room. Kaze was a historian of a kind, one who kept hold to records and scrolls of the Sookato clan. It was he who came to wind country on business. He was keeping records of long lost clans that had disappeared over the years and Sookato was one in which he found intriguing. With the Raikage’s permission, he was allowed to stay for another month. The dilemma for this family was dire indeed. Two things were conflicting with him. One was that as a shinobi, he was one to follow orders and to never disobey any sort of command. However, his human saw pity in this family and saw much pity for the teenager and her sons.

Kaze broke the silence with his low and cooling voice “I suggest what we do is take one of the children away” he saw the mother twist her head to him shooting out fire in her eyes but Kaze held his hand up “We know this clan was extinguished. This, by the records that I have found, allows them susceptibly prone into being formed and shaped into a weapon by said countries. According to the records, they were once nomads and these nomads were one who tried to ordain peace in their teachings only to be blood-lusting fiends in the end. Knowing that it’s in the documents of Sunagakure and how they are rising to power, we must not allow them to hold the power of the Sookato.

“Here is what I propose to you. I’ll take one of the children with me. He’ll represent the faction of Kumogakure and he’ll be protected under my roof. The other child should be separated to a family other than your own. This will protect all three of you while keeping the Sookato safe”

The father looked suspiciously at him “How can we trust you? You may seem like a savior at the moment but it could be an opportune time for you to train the boy in forging a weapon to favor Kumo.”

Kaze sighed “I understand your concern. A man who just so happen to show up to take your child away to protect you while gaining an edge in the near future” he nodded “If that’s so then let us pray the allies among Suna and Kumo stand strong. He’ll aid both villages when the time is made right”

“And our child?” there was a waver in the mothers voice, trying to hold back the tears.

“I will take the liberty of sealing her memories. She will not know about the children. I know neither one of you will do such a thing to their child but since I hold no emotion towards her, I will be the one do so. One of you will take the other child to a village towards Suna”

“I’ll be the one to do it” the father said “At least let my hands get dirty among this”

It was there that they agreed to pull this deed. It was for the better good in order to preserve the Sookato but the moral aspect of this was horrendous. Kaze swore that he would never try to do anything like this again. He made this promise as he carried the young Jiyuu back with him to Kumogakure. He made sounds of a babe, making small whines with the unfamiliar smells of the world as they were passing but kept interest among the person who carried him “Do not worry child” Kaze whispered. He smiled at the babe as it whimpered “Out of respect of the sealed memories, I shall keep your name as Jiyuu”

Kaze roundhouse kick at Jiyuu head. He had to aim low at Jiyuu’s head but he adjusted accordingly. Did Kaze thing that kick was going to land on Jiyuu? Ha, what a statement he was trying to pull. Jiyuu youth and small frame allows him to dodge with much ease. Kaze anticipate the move and gave Jiyuu the thought of safety. When he saw it in Kaze eye, this left an opening for Kaze to strike at him again this time landing a punch at Jiyuu. Jiyuu’s arms rose up but the force of the punch pushed him back and he stumbled back and landed on his butt. He rubbed his arms now, trying to rub the pain and he got back up on his feet

“I’m not done” Jiyuu said

Kaze gave a hardy chuckled “Boy, you’re going to get yourself all bruised up if I keep this up. Admirable that may be but I won’t let you get beaten down before your genin exam” Kaze moved to Jiyuu where he brushed the dirt out of his hair. He examined both his arms. They were red on the surface of the skin but it wouldn’t be long before it bruised up just a bit. “How does your arm feel?”

“All right I guess” Jiyuu said as he continued to rub it impatiently. “I wanna continue fighting. I wanna learn more stuff ya know? I don’t want to be weak and simple”

“In time boy, in time. Right now, you need to rest up”

Jiyuu frowned up and looked at Kaze distastefully but as Kaze rubbed his hair and laughed, Jiyuu couldn’t hold back his laughter and laughed with him as well. They walked back together to the house to be served dinner.

Jiyuu came to household of Kaze and Mizu, his wife, only seven years ago. Mizu was grateful to have a child in her house where she could adore and love a child like it was her own. She could not bear children; her womb had been damaged long ago as a teenager. She told this to Kaze twenty years ago but Kaze still loved her with all of his heart and soul. To bring home Jiyuu to be raised as a son, Mizu was only delighted and Kaze could raise the son he could never have.

Both Kaze and Mizu are historians in Kumogakure as stated previous and Kaze began to tell the history of the Sookato to Mizu. Its past was just as secretive as any other clan who wish to keep themselves silent, the Sookato was no different. Mizu asked if there was any other Sookato left.

“There is one who is officially the last one stated among the clan. He still resides in Sunagakure and of course it was him who put his seed inside that child. I have my doubts that he would care for his sons at this point but separating them and preserving this clan is what we must do”

In his explanation, he brought out a medium size scroll where he holds bits and pieces of information on his travels. He rolled it across the table. There were figures of one person performing techniques. One picture had a person holding a kunai. The color of the kunai was that of black while the ink color for the person was blue. Underneath it was the handseals in order to perform this technique .The other figure was a figure holding a shuriken, another one was what appeared to be a cage, then a veil of some sort, armor perhaps and then some technique that was said to be destructive.

“What are these” asked Mizu

“These are techniques of the Sookato. I copied them done accurately in order for him to learn these techniques in the near future. I thought to myself that if he is going to revive his clan, he’ll have to learn some techniques”

“What makes you believe he’ll want to learn?”

What surprised Mizu was the fact that Kaze smiled that smile of his. Kaze wasn’t one to hide anything from Mizu but that smile was something that gave Mizu something of a chill up her spine. It hid something underneath that smile which both angered and frighten Mizu. “He’ll want to learn. I guarantee that for a fact”

As historians, those that were once lost and are now found are cherished among them. As parents, they could love this child like their own. Blood or no blood, they were family. It was agreed the moment they wanted to keep the child but hide its circumstances among those who were close to them. If one were to question where they got a child, they could say that Kaze found the child in an abandon house where a village had been burn down due to war. It wasn’t unlikely for a person to have mercy, why would this be a different case?

As Mizu was the nurturing one, Kaze acted like an alpha male who wanted his son to become strong and well off in order to survive. It was in his nature to strengthen up the physical and mental aspect of Jiyuu. If he was going to have a son, hell he might as well train him like he was his son. Mizu was hesitant at first in allowing Kaze to train Jiyuu but she gave in after he reached four years of age (Kaze’s original intention was to train him at three but Mizu outright refused to let that happen. It took a lot of convincing bear mind you reader).

Jiyuu started his training at a young age. This was an advantage for him due to Kaze being one who worked well at home with his histories. Kaze began his training out the basic of level of teaching him the art of fighting. To most who knew Kaze, he was one of the foremost practitioners of taijutsu, an art in which he loved dearly to his heart due to its culture, its usage and its philosophies. He believed that Jiyuu should start off as a proficient user in the art of hand to hand only because it gives him a better understanding of it in world of the shinobi. The teachings he include was also teaching him geography of the villages, different political stances in the past and the present, philosophy of different cultures and clans and to show how one can free the mind in order to gain more knowledge.

These concepts would not seem normal to grasp for a child. They didn’t tend to see the world as one vast landscape where there exist politics, philosophies and sciences however Jiyuu did pay attention to what Kaze had to say. Interestingly enough, he was found of how Kaze would explain things that was difficult for most to understand but he put it simply towards the four year old. Jiyuu ate up knowledge like a starving man would with food and he was far more knowledgeable in the art of fighting. He seems to grasp the concept far quicker than he would with the knowledge but it was understandable seeing that Jiyuu thought of it as playing. Kaze would implement his teachings to Jiyuu in a manner of playing rather than a serious subject with his younger students

Jiyuu enter into the academy at the age of five where he began to form the concept of ninjutsu. He was getting high grades when it came to taijutsu and ninjutsu but moderate grades when it came to genjutsu. It seems Jiyuu was not well off in the art of genjutsu which sort of disappointed him. He wanted to perfect all of the arts without the hassle due to do that drive inside of him that wanted to achieve greatness but it did not stop him training harder and harder in order to achieve his goal.

At the age of seven, his teachings were further given another set forward as Kaze showed him the techniques of the Sookato. He didn’t want to hold anything from him after he began to show deep affection for Jiyuu. To hide something like this was the one thing he could not do. Kaze explained how these techniques are a part of his bloodline, an almost extinct bloodline that holds great mystery and new abilities.

“Only you can learn these abilities, Jiyuu” Kaze said “I cannot teach you these techniques but I can only assume and guide you through the process of learning. This is one that you must find on your own. Do you think you can learn it”

For that moment, Jiyuu could only remain silent. He stared at Kaze but not it was rather through him than at him. He blinked and let out a soft chuckle “I told you I’m going to be the best didn’t I?” and that was the answer Kaze was expecting. It was that looked that reassured him to only tell him this rather than the entire truth of the subject of his clan and how he is considered a bastard child. In time, Kaze said to himself, in time

Seven years of age and now a genin. The cool yet aggressive young Jiyuu sets out towards the adventure of becoming, as he puts it, ‘one helluva of a shinobi’. Being one of the few young ones who graduated from the academy, his team was that of a eight year old and a nine year old, both of which had high standards and graduated in under two years. All three of them were linked together under one particular jounin who had a fetish for eating dango every hour on the hour and liked to particularly be late when he wanted to have meetings. Needless to say, Jiyuu wasn’t one to argue with his jounin sensei. Hell, he liked the laid back approach to life and the laidback ways of moving. Yes, it showed how well you are as a person. If you are responsible and time oriented then it will reflect on how well you do missions.

If only if it was that simplistic. The seven year old Jiyuu began to understand these small tasks that were nothing more than simple janitorial work rather than full on missions. He remembered telling Kaze about he wanted to get into the action of things. Why the hell should he have to wait while other genin teams were doing missions allowing them to leave the village?

Kaze calmly said “You are impatient but that is understandable. You are young and you want to experience new things but new adventures take time my son. Be patient”

Of course, this wasn’t what Jiyuu wanted to hear. He could only sigh every time they were given missions and smile a halfhearted smile whenever they complete one. One thing he didn’t understand was why his two comrades were so eager to complete it so quickly. Now, he was all for completing it and doing it with some interest or some strategy to complete it but his two comrades were doing the task too quickly and without thought. Yes, it was easy and yes it didn’t take much thought but perhaps they were missing something that wasn’t allowing advancement within the mission rank. It was in his cleverness that brought the attention of doing missions that were more align with their abilities. The eight year old was proficient in ninjutsu while the nine year old was well off in weaponry. Perhaps they could work this out and turn these missions not only quick and easy but also smart and successful.

This was what the jounin leader was looking for. He was looking for that teammate cooperation and see what they were good at and what they needed to work on. With this, the leader then gave his evaluation and began to incorporate more C-rank missions to the agenda. It certainly impressed him when he saw that Jiyuu was the one who decided it was best to put in teamwork. This showed how much of a leader Jiyuu is and how it will affect his future among the shinobi.

It was this virtue that he gain that allowed him to be the unofficial leader of the group. He was in competition however with his year old counterpart who was also as aggressive and assertive as Jiyuu. The turnabouts that were almost seen in violence were usually resolved by the nine year old teammate who would get in the way of the two. The eight year got into arguments because he believed his methods were right. Jiyuu got into the argument because he had a thing about irritating people and he knows how to press the right buttons with him. He decided to stop this when they began earning more C-rank missions before qualifying for the chunin exams.

Jiyuu’s mind was always elsewhere, looking to harness the power of his Sookato potential. Ever since he graduated, he began to become more intrigued by this bloodline that was said to be secretive. He always asked Kaze to tell him more on the subject matter with his clan. Disappointed however, Kaze knew little as it was. He was hoping to discover his past because of it thought Jiyuu began to suspect that Kaze was indeed hiding something from him. He didn’t know what per se’ rather it was a feeling of him keeping information about it. He would have to find out for himself.

Jiyuu came home to the house where both Kaze and Mizu were gone. Jiyuu didn’t have to call out in the house, he could usually find Mizu either the other room reading a book or in the kitchen cooking a large dinner. He would usually smell the ongoing aroma of chicken, pork, poultry and beef all at once. It was not leftover night tonight, it was all homemade and he was excited to eat but of course his disappointment arose when there was no one in the house. He suppose that was the negative side to this but the positive was that Kaze was also away. Kaze was usually around in his study where Jiyuu rarely goes into. He tipped toed his way towards the door and slide the door across. He closed it slowly and with precision not to make any noise (it was kind of ridiculous now that Jiyuu is nineteen and thought about it. Why the hell did he sneak around when there was no one in the house?).

His attention drew toward Kaze’s desk where he would usually see Kaze sitting and writing. He felt a bit of remorse walking in the room without his permission. Kaze had a tendency of scolding him whenever he moved his things or even touch one of the parchment paper that were ragged up and battered. Jiyuu would have to be careful. If he were mess up anything, even the slightest rip on a paper, Kaze would easily suspect him. He damned him for his keen eye. He softly moved to the desk and moved his hand through each drawer. Two drawers were empty, probably to fill up space when he ran out of room on his desk. The one drawer he never seen open was to the left of him. He pulled open the drawer and only saw one thing that stood out.

Inside was a small journal. It was on top of white paper. It seemed oddly placed among it as the brown leather top with its crinkled cover made it look authentic. He pulled it out and pushed in the drawer. His hand opened the small journal and he began to read what was inside…

Ten years of age, his promotion to chunin was something of astonishment among the members of his class. Who would’ve knew that the ‘cooler than thou’ kid ( a surprising nickname for his attitude on life) passed the chunin exams. Many had suspected that he would fail it due to him being so lenient about serious issues. Jiyuu, who only shrugged when asked how he did it, said “Well, I was getting bored of being a genin and no way in hell am I going to be a genin forever. I gotta do something fresh, ya know?”

At this time, Jiyuu was beginning to grasp the entire idea and skill of his lightning affinity. He found this out when he was training with Kaze and he was introducing the beginning of elements. Given the piece of paper, it crinkled up and surged with a bit of electricity. Interesting, thought Jiyuu when he saw this, I wonder how I can use this bad boy. He snickered a lot on that day. Kaze looked at him with that “what in the hell is wrong with you?” look that only Kaze could pull off. Jiyuu laughed and said to not worry about it. Kaze only shook his head.

He didn’t really reveal any secrets to Kaze at the time. He didn’t feel as though it was the right time to do it. His feeling, however, for the longest time, began to toy with his own mind. He was holding back is own self by not yelling outright at Kaze for hiding away what information that could lead him to his family. Damn him he would think at times. Damn him for hiding this from me. Why would he want to hide such a painful thing?

Two years ago, in that room where he opened up that journal. Jiyuu began to read up on the excerpt that was around eight years previously.

Journal Entry: 354

I was grateful to leave out of Sunagakure before things started to fall through my fingers. I wasn’t expecting special operations to get a hold of my information two months in. How long had they been watching me? How long was it till they were going to reveal to me that what I am was nothing more than a lie? Such revelations are troubling in honesty. If I had stayed much longer, the alliance between Sunagakure and Kumogakure would’ve been ruined.

I was fortunate enough to obtain information on clans of wind country. My original mission was really to investigate fallen clans of fire country and wind country. I was to leave for a month from the permission of the Raikage and as promised I was not to investigate anything other than clans. The Kazekage gave me permission to look over some of the archives during my stay. Naturally, of course, he didn’t let me go through all of his stuff but naturally I wasn’t going to let that stop me from furthering my knowledge into obtaining what I want.

Perhaps in my curiosity, I bitten the fruit too deep and now I am in a poison that can never be cured. I found a clan that was apparently extinct. Amazing how ancient clans are able to integrate within the society of the shinobi. If the villages weren’t so paranoid of war, perhaps we could learn more about the history of the world and how the world came to be. The countries do have every right to fear them however but because of this internal conflict, it is difficult to understand to some but I can understand it.

I got off track. Yes, there is a clan that was once extinct but now it isn’t. There is man in Sunagakure who wields the same traits of this clan to the dot. The chakra, the eyes, everything. It was of pure blood. However, what I didn’t expect to happen was to find that there were two other clan members. But they are not grown. They are only two months old.

Two twins; one of red hair and one of black. Both of them are beautiful children that myself and Mizu could never experience. In me, there is something that tells me to preserve this clan. I can’t let the surviving members of those who eliminated this clan find out about this. I just can’t. Tonight, I talk to the mother and father of the Sookato mother, a young girl who has life ahead of her and decide what to do next. May God have mercy upon me.

Jiyuu had closed the book on that note. He didn’t want to read any further. In the journal, Kaze had explained that the person to had been identified as his father had a name and so did the older brother. Jiyuu set the journal down on the table and hunched his knees together. To think that he had a brother and a father, it just seems out of his comprehension in honesty. He wondered what his brother looked like, how he was doing, was he a shinobi like him, does like have a hard time making friends or is he friendly, is he a good person or an asshole? What was his father like? Did he wonder where Jiyuu was? Did he miss him? What about his mother? What was she doing? Did she know Jiyuu was alive and well? That’s what made Jiyuu wondered.

After that day, he wondered whether he’ll get a chance to meet his family. He wanted to know more about his people and about his kind. This gave him the motivation to go further in his training. He wanted to become strong to inspire some motivation for his family to find him. It was either that or he would begin his search on them. This, however, didn’t change his stance with his relationship with Kaze and Mizu. They were just like a mother and father. He loved them both like they were his blood and he supposed that is what he wanted the most out of it. He wasn’t angry with his father or mother nor did he have any resentment with Kaze for hiding it. He was at peace with it.

The closest encounter however he had with meeting his father was four years later after the completion of his training. Out in the wilderness, he decided he wanted to find some alone time with himself. Me, myself and I he would call it. He felt better relaxing in the open mountain, especially by the lake where he could hear the ripple of the water brush up on the rocky shore. There were birds that came out this time of year that began to sing a melody harmonious in his ears.

He sat on the grass after his taijutsu and ninjutsu training. He was beginning to implement more and more attacks that revolved around his lightning and taijutsu. The combination was simply something that he was addicted to. He would listen to the birds for a minute, take a brief nap and then return back home to eat some of Mizu’s homemade cooking.

Fifteen minutes he, as his mind was drifting towards twilight, he noticed how the birds had stopped singing. This arose some eeriness in him and he slowly opened his eyes to notice how the sky had gotten an ash color. The birds were the first to suspect that there was a thunderstorm coming. He stood up from the ground and looked over at the mountains and saw a nasty black cloud that seem attacked to that part of the sky and it was moving over to Kumogakure and hastily moving towards his direction.

“Good time to ruin a moment” Jiyuu said “Thank you for being the asshole of the day thunderstorm”

As he was moving towards the village, he felt an energy that he could only describe as “destructive” It was similar to his own and from his distance, it seem like it was coming closer and closer to him. Jiyuu was running on the ground but then he immediately stopped and took cover. As his eyes darken to that sinister black, he could only try and sense this incoming power? Where is it going? He thought to himself looking around to find the source. He could feel it but he could not determine its location. Damn he needed to train this more often. After a short period, the chakra then ceased to exist and it didn’t come towards this direction.

He was slightly puzzled as to whom it was but then again, he wasn’t in any mood to figure it out. His curiosity will have to be fed another time and whoever it was…well; hopefully he’ll find something about that person

But alas, that event never occurred again. He hoped that he would search for this mysterious and corrosive chakra that he felt a year before passing the jounin exam but he decided whenever he had the chance, he would find this chakra source again.

He had began to practice more and more with his techniques (like he has anything better to do besides that and missions) in order to find the source of that power. He wonders, what lies ahead of his life and what is it that will drive him towards of goal of becoming a powerful shinobi?

For the next four years, he had much of a eventful blank. Yes, he trained diligently and become something of a star during this time but it was his fifteen minutes of fame that made him want to crave more and more interest on information and power. There is something inside him that is eager to find that source of power. He is eager now, lusting for that excitement he never felt in his life before. He can only laugh when he thinks about it.

Why is it we fall for illusions rather for reality? An illusion is the false reality that people crave for but reality is the hard wall that we face and can’t seem to jump over or shatter it completely. Is it so hard to handle? Oh, yes. Quite honesty, illusions take away all the pain, the suffering, the sadness and all the negativity in the world and it leaves you the good. It gives you the dreams that you desired. Gabriel could give you that illusion; the perfect dream where you don’t have any reasons to wake. The reality would be gone; the dreams would be continuous into eternity.
The blood dripped in a manner off the knife. Gabriel reached deep in his coat pocket and pulled out a white cloth. He folded it and wiped the knife clean, dying the cloth with crimson life essence. Gabriel blank face had gazed upon the man sprawled on his back, his head leaning against the wall with a shock expression. His eyes stared at nothing. He moved over to the corpse, squats himself down and, with his hand, drew the eyes closed. He drew his hands together in a praying gesture then said in a mellow voice “Riposi in pace. Let you dream sweetly in the afterlife”

He sheathed his knife and walked towards the door of the apartment. The foul stench of the place was getting to Gabriel now. He’s been to places where the body had released all of its waste out when the target was killed but it had already smelled horrendous when he arrived. Leaving this place would make him feel clean. He closed the door gently, moving with precision like that of a parent moving through a sleeping child room. He knew that no one had heard him walk in, he knew that no one even notice that he walked into the apartment complex. If a person were to glance his way at the entrance door leading to the lobby, they would only imagine that it to be the wind to cause it and say no more. The person who sat in the lobby, reading today’s newspaper and drinking what would could be said as a water down whisky, didn’t bat an eyelash at Gabriel’s direction because there was no Gabriel for him to see.

He left no sign of forced entry or any type of struggle; his specialty was being subtle and not to cause any alarm to his target. When his target open a door, a middle aged man with balding hair, not seeming of harming anyone, saw Gabriel. He had a brief moment where he was alarmed. His pupils dilated, the blood and adrenaline went rushing into his vessels ready to storm out. In that instance, the gurgling of his intestine had stopped and the blood travelled away from the digestive tract and towards the vessels. It was in that few seconds that Gabriel’s target could’ve (or at least tried) to fight for his life. This man knew who he was. There are many assassins who were out there that were bolder than others. He had seen the eyes of those killers and met them toe to toe in combat. He had the appearance of a middle age civilian but his appearance fooled many killers before Gabriel.

The targets eyes met with Gabriel’s; the hollow obsidian didn’t appear obsidian to the target. It, in fact, was the color of turquoise. They were little flames that seem to spiral within the cavities of his eyes. They were beautiful the target thought, not even the prettiest of gemstones could be compared to the flames that revolved in those eyes. The target’s body began to relax in an instantaneous moment. Every blood cell in the body did a U turn and returned back to its function as if the body had did not see a threat.

Gabriel walked in, shutting the door behind him. The target didn’t refuse him entry but instead said “Come, sit down. I was expecting your arrival” His mouth said the words but his mind kept repeating “No you fool! He’s trying to kill you, he’s trying to kill you!” his mind couldn’t project that out to his mouth. His brain was consciously trying to survive and escape and at the same time his brain was consciously relaxing and letting go of the situation. The latter was winning exponentially.
“Are you surprised to see me?” Gabriel asked, sitting down on a stool with one hand drawn on his knife and the other hand laid flat on the counter

The target saw the knife and said “No, not at all. As I said, I was expecting your arrival. Would you like anything to drink, perhaps something to eat?”

Gabriel shook his head slowly “I thank you for your hospitality but I’m just here for a quick visit. I don’t have much time to stay with you and chat” he glances around the apartment; it smelled musty, there was a faint odor of what smelled like decay and sulfur. He really wasn’t planning on staying in this putrid square box with nothing but a couch, a television and a refrigerator in the kitchen. “Do you know why I’m here, Marcello?”

Marcello paused for a moment as if he didn’t understand the question. He said that he was expecting his arrival yet to have no answer when asked why he was here, he was left with just a glazed expression of hopelessness. Gabriel answered “You’ve taken a lot of lives in your years Marcello; many lives that you have destroyed. You’ve killed brothers, fathers, sons, nephews, cousins, uncles…the list continues. You’ve destroyed those lives of those families haven’t you?”
“Yes” Marcello said in a dreamy, far off voice that he didn’t hear himself

“For many years, you’ve been on the run from Syndicates, Mafias, Government Agencies, unaffiliated organizations. They all have it in for you. My, your sheet is quite a long one and your reputation runs deep in the underground. But there is one question I have to ask. Do you mind me asking it?”

Marcello shook his head “Ask me anything”

“Are you tired of the running?” his voice was trailing into Marcello’s conscience and sub-conscience. Instantly, the visions arrived like a movie happening right in front of him. He had a hand on a person’s neck pulling the air out of them. He was in another scene where he had a silenced pistol on the head of a man who was tied up, a much younger Marcello pulled the trigger with a expressionless glare that seem to stare towards nothing. There was another vision of his past presented before his eyes seeing himself shooting a man in the eye. The body fell limp to the ground. Out of humor, Marcello shot him in the other eye and laughed in a hysteric frenzy.

“Stop it” he whispered. Another vision, this time a man who was on the floor by Marcello’s feet, pleading with him to spare his wife and children who were in the corner huddled in the corner. Marcello could only care about how this sniveling man had his tears all over his 300 dollar pair of shoes. These are a nice pair of shoes, the Marcello in the vision said and kicked him square in the jaw, shifting the man’s jaw out of place and knocking some few loose teeth. He shot them thereafter. His lackeys who stood behind him cue them to the other family members saying to do whatever they wish.

“Stop it” he raised his voice this time, grabbing the sides of his head closing his eyes and shutting out his ears to shut it all out. His actions were futile and the visions continued. All of sins he had committed, from the beginning of his career towards the end, started to flash into him into one large movie. There was no stopping how all the emotions rushed in his conscience; no value to cut the flow of the horrid actions he committed long ago. They all seem little at the time; he saw no consequence with his actions. They just fed him the thrill that he longed for. Regardless of all of that, it meant nothing to him. It was all cold water. His mind ran on water that was freezing cold and all of these emotions was a rush of scolding hot water that made him realize every single action led to this moment; his judgment.

He was on his knees, his face was quivering. The tears were pouring out the sides of his eyes and down his cheek and the mucous oozed out of his nose. He was babbling saying over and over how sorry he was and how he could never ask for forgiveness. They were the typical words Gabriel’s targets say to him before there death. He got up from the stool and kneeled down to him. His hand touched his cheek and lifted his head up. The tears continue to flow but Marcello’s face was serene; the burdens that he has committed were taken away. It was just looking at those turquoise eyes that calmed him. The eyes were saying that everything is going to be ok. “There is no need for tears.” it said “All of it will be wiped away.”

In that moment of that illusion, Gabriel drew out the knife. He placed the cold metal on the warmth of his neck. It instantly gave Marcello goose bumps but he showed no displeasure in the knife. It was when Gabriel was slitting Marcello’s neck from ear to ear that there was nothing but shock in them. It was his face that expressed it saying “What is happening?” His body began to spasm and Gabriel grabbed the sleeveless t-shirt he was wearing, holding him as his body was moving. When his body went limp, he slowly held onto Marcello’s head, cradling it, and laid his body on the ground with his head resting on the wall.

It was the way his powers worked; the power of illusions they call it; the powers to manipulate the mind or the powers to control a human being. Textbook scholars in his organization call it the ability to affect the Autonomic Nervous System where the body handles stressful situations and relaxing situations. With control of the sympathetic and the parasympathetic, Gabriel has the ability to make opponents feel relaxed and dismissive, disabling them to fight. This would give Gabriel complete control over a fight for if Gabriel manipulates his own sympathetic nervous system, he has the battle field advantage in close combat. Gabriel never gave these theories any complete answers. He was always reserved when it came to his special power, only to show a tiny extent when the eyes of organization were watching him. The less people who understood his power, the better advantage he has on his enemies...and allies.

He walked down the hall and down the stairwell towards the exit of the building. He didn’t cross any living person in the complex which he felt content for not having to activate an illusion. The nightlife air was something of a relief when he walked out of the door. Coming out into the night was a dream in itself. He felt like he was in a movie, the moon was full cutting the night sky. He couldn’t see any stars however; it was too bright in the city to do it. If New York was a person, he could imagine it being hateful of the night because it could never see what stars looked like. Only on the rare occasion, when the lights have been turned off that the city could see the twinkling stars in that darkness recognized at the universe.

He reached into his right jacket pocket and pulled out a silver crested lighter. He flicked it open and flicked his thumb down on the small igniter to spark the. There was a man leaning against the wall of the apartment who was attempting to light his cigarette. When the man saw Gabriel’s blue flame come from his lighter and up in front of him, he paused for a moment then leaned his cigarette into the flames till the tips of the cigarette turned red and turned a faded gray. The man let smoke run out of his mouth.

“Couldn’t hear a thing” The man said. He adjusted his tweed cap over his head so it can cover his eyes casting a shadow.

“Dealing with the whiners are essentially the easiest to kill. I just hate having to put an illusion on them first cause then I see all of their past memories and present ones” he rolled his eyes “They start whining, crying and all of that. If he was bawling I would’ve had to cut his larynx out. Ugh” he shook his head, repulsed. He gestured his hand saying to forget it “You came to check on me. Thoughtful of you”

“Tch, don’t flatter yourself Gabe”

“Flattered? You haven’t even given me flowers or chocolate. How can I be flattered?”

The man’s glower made Gabriel put his hands up in false surrender “All right, all right. Geez, does anyone tell you that you look like a bull dog when you’re upset”

“All the time” he said matter of fact “Now, would please cut the comedy act and come with me. We have a few things to discuss”

Gabriel gave a mild shrug of the shoulders “Lead on”
