| Music.
It's something that unites and divides us at the same time. Over the years especially, we've had people grow bitter with the new music taste our youths choose to listen too and vise versa. Everybody has their own taste of music and should be able to freely listen what whatever style, genre, artist or band they want without judgement being past; as long as they don't go around insulting another's taste.
I came up with this concept only moments ago and decided it would be nice, it's nothing important. All I plan to do, is share a song with you guys each day, with a small summary of why I chose it on that day amongst other things. I'm not sure what the reaction will be for this, whether people love the idea of me suggesting a song for them to listen to or if it will just be completely disregarded. To be honest, it's not my concern; all of us have a different taste in music and I would just like to share songs with you guys that you may not have heard or bring back a classic for us all to enjoy. Who knows, I might just link that song you've been looking for.
Today of course if the first day and I'm already enjoying this thoroughly, anyway. Enjoy. ---
7/1/11 Bernard Fanning - Watch Over Me. Just a man and his guitar. Bernard Fanning is an Australian Icon in the music industry, being an international star as the vocalist of Australian Rock Band, who upset the nation with their retirement. Powderfinger was a band I grew up to love, my aunty cousin love them passionately and went to a few of their farewell concerts during the tour and have been to countless others where they have met the band and they even remembered my aunty. In 2005 on the 31st of October Bernard released a solo album which debuted at #1 on the Australian ARIA Albums chart, and spent 58 weeks in the top 50. The entire album is moving and this song is in particular moving because his inspirations for it were the death of his brother and the music of the pops funeral if I'm not mistaken. Just sit back and enjoy some real music.

| 8/1/11 OK Go - Get Over It. Probably most famous for their song 'Here It Goes Again' which was commonly referred to and searched on youtube as 'The Treadmill Song' The OK Go boys performed a fantastic music video of them dancing on treadmills in one take, that was at one point my favourite video on Youtube, but one cannot deny the music talent that they have too. This song brings me back to many years ago and when I stumbled upon it just a few months ago I was absolutely thrilled. It sounds like a breakup song of course but I find it pretty uplifting.

| 9/1/11 Stereophonics - You Sexy Thing. Probably one of the best covers I've heard in a while. Stereophonics covering Hot Chocolate's classic, You Sexy Thing. I don't have much to say about this song. They're cover isn't too well known, my aunty is in love with this band too and she didn't even know they did it. I stumbled upon it on Youtube as per usual doing my occasional classic songs sweep, it was a great find. Straight to my iTunes. |

| 10/1/11 Tal Bachman - She's So High. Gah, my entry is a little late today. Mainly due to the fact that I went out today to the pools and when I got home had visitors. I almost forgot until I did another sweep of Youtube for the day which lead to this song, one I haven't heard for a few years now; a song many of you should be familiar with. I think I picked this song today because it makes me smile as it reminds me of my girlfriend who I saw today anyway, it's still nice and I haven't really looked at any other songs today anyway. Enjoy.

| 11/1/11 Angus and Julia Stone - Big Jet Plane. Five ones in a row, aww hellz yeah boi! I've had a lazy and chilled day today, the forum appears to be pretty quiet and I'm pretty sick and have a killer headache, it must be because of all the chlorine I consumed at the pools yesterday. I finally woke up early today, at 9.30 hoping my Brad would be on but he wasn't there was nobody really on so I just crawled back in bed. I had iTunes running and had it pretty loud so I could hear it in my room and this song came in, it relaxed me immediately and lulled be to sleep. I woke up feeling a little better because of this I think, but I'm still not feeling too good. The song still relaxes me though, haha. |

| 12/1/11 Cornershop - Brimful Of Asha. I'm sure many of you have heard the remixed/altered version of this song that was done by Fatboy Slim on a past Ministry of Sound Annual. This however, is the original if I'm not mistaken and in my opinion is a lot better. So far the majority of my songs have been pretty chilled but I do want you all to know that my music taste does vary, you might see some dubstep, drum n bass or even some death metal surface soon; it depends on the day.

| 13/1/11 Len - Steal My Sunshine. Okay so it's officially Thursday, since it's 2am so I'm allowed to do a new song of the day now, right? This is one of the reasons I love Youtube, finding great songs from the 90's such as this, though I don't just limit it to the 90's; looking back I think the 90's had the best era when it came to one hit wonders since these days they'll let any bitch that can work an autotune release a dozen albums. In saying that I don't think anybody singing in this song can sing good, but it's just another one of those uplifting songs, at least it keeps like it is at 2am. |

| 14/1/11 Fel, Mojo & Psyman - This Time. So it's almost 7pm and mum is working tonight, so that means Ryan, Casey and myself can pump some Dubstep for our neighbours to appreciate, whether they want to or not. This is one of my favourite Dubsteps as of recent, but I haven't heard too many good ones recently; I'm so up to date with my Dubstep and Drum n Bass it's ridiculous. |

| 15/1/11 Short Stack - We Dance To A Different Disco, Honey. Now before you judge me for putting this song up, I do not like this band they are just another girly emo band but I like this song quite a bit, it is always on the radio here in Australia since Short Stack are Aussie boys, so they do their best to represent! I know this entries late, I haven't been able to find any of the names of the sweet remixes the radio has been playing and I've had work to do all day, my bad.

| 16/1/11 Flux Pavilion - I Can't Stop. Another Dubstep Mix coming at you. Flux Pavlions mix of I Can't Stop, and apparently; he can't stop. Mum doesn't really like it but it's not like I give her a choice, not drains out a whining bitch like a good Dubstep Mix. If you're not into this kind of music then you probably won't like it very much but as I said I'm trying to give everybody a bit of variety, you should at least have a listen. |

| 17/1/11 Marcy Playground - Sex and Candy. That's night folks, I watch True Blood. If you do too then you might recognize this song from the scene where Jessica meets Hoyt, which if you haven't seen can be found here. Point is, it's a great song. I remember it from many years ago but this scene refreshed my memory and yeah, now I'm linking it to you guys. |

| 18/1/11 Butch Clancy - Russian Lullaby. Finally I stumble upon a decent Dubstep again, this reminded me of Flux Pavilion so much for a reference he is the fellow I put up on the sixteenth for anybody who is interested in this genre of music. Point is, I think this is perfect, for those of you who are impatient for length introductions you can skip to 1:15 for the drop, it is absolutely mint, mum isn't hope again today so this is amazing to pump full volume. |

| 19/1/11 The Animals - House of the Rising Sun Come at me bro! Sorry it's a little late, I've been out almost all day and I just got home and thought, what the fuck do I pick?! Well I was going to put up another Dubstep but I promised a little variety at the very least and you cannot go wrong with The Animals. Enjoy. |

| 20/1/11 Art vs Science - Parlez vous Francais? I chose this song because all the talk about the French Language in the chatbox today, good times. I'm pretty sure Art vs Science are an Australian band which makes it all the better, they're style of music is one I find pretty unique and I loooooove it. The video clip is great to watch as well so you'll find yourself hooked by the song, I'm sure of it. |

| 21/1/11 Jeff Buckley - Last Goodbye. Today this song is dedicated to my dad, Steve. Six years ago on this day, his fight against lung cancer came to an end. This song was played at his funeral, which wasn't today, but considering today is the day that I think about him the most, along with his birthday. I just found this song appropriate for today, thanks. |

| 22/1/11 Scouting For Girls - She's So Lovely. Here is something for the ladies, I don't exactly know why I picked this song, it's nothing that special in my opinion, but variety is key and it's for you guys to have a listen to I suppose. I guess most of you will know this band since they song that emotional heap "This Ain't A Love Song" but I think this song is a lot more positive and a lot more vibrant. |

| 23/1/11 deadmau5 feat. Rob Swire - Ghosts N Stuff. Since I'm capped, I cannot actually go searching through Youtube for songs, therefore I'm just picking some from my iTunes playlist and then youtubing them, since youtube videos don't load I'm just instinctively picking the video which I think will have the best quality etc. If you haven't heard this song, then you can thank me later. |

| 25/1/11 Pendulum - The Vulture. Uh-oh, missed a day! My bad homeslices. Internet is still capped obviously and yesterday was hectic. I've gone with Pendulum this time because they are probably the best in the Drum and Bass genre, they make me cream my pants sometimes, though that's usually only a special occasion. The Vulture is a fantastic track, fast paced with a drop that makes you feel like you've heard it before, which makes you fall in love with it instantly. |

| 13/7/11 - Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger. Now I have a massive distaste for commercial radio but I find myself listening to it most days at work because it's a lot better than the bosses techno CD's, now this song has been playing a lot recently and I'll probably get sick of it soon enough because of how constantly its on but for fucks sake this song is just catchy as. I've always thought Adam Levine was a good song but Maroon 5 was always a bit slow paced and depressing whereas I here their new album is supposed to be very soulful and this track proves that a remark like that could be accurate. Love it! |
