| Ashes to Ashes.Starring Aburame, Koden Kasui, Inari Ryuzaki, Kyo Hakedoro, Morel
Guest Starring Hougaku, Riku Nenshou, Karudo
Meeting Point: Alert! Bear Country in Crisis. Camp Site: Pit Stop. Continued On From: Too Much To Bear. Spy Network: Shine Through The Day.
This certainly was not the first time Koden had visited Bear Country, it would have been the same for anybody else who ventured further into the shinobi world. Kumogakure was bordered to only Iron and Iron only connected either back to Lightning Country or forward to Bear Country. Unless one was to travel via boats to Kirigakure for example, this was the main route one would take. Koden was familiar with Bear Country because of this, but not how it was in its current state with a new Hoshikage elected in Star Village that as the Raikage stated was quite the deceitful backstabbing man that who would only act for his own benefit, even if it meant to getting involved with Mafia-like organizations like the one Koden and his team were sent to disable. The Aburame suspected this was the first step to the revolution, which would surely benefit Kumogakure too but also the Bear Country. Surely other leader-like figures who were close to the Hoshikage had realized the result of this man’s reign and surely people would want it to come to an end. Politics were always such a touchy subject these days, hundreds; even thousands would die just what a demented leader such as this would call justified. Koden didn’t like taking the life of another, but if it was necessary he wouldn’t be hesitant.
The terrain got greener as they approached Bear Country which eventually led to a thick forest. Koden came to a stop first as his team would mimic his actions, all standing quite close a part, yet to enter the forest. “From this point on, our mission has officially begun.” Koden stated, just to make sure they were all aware that it was time for business, time to prepare themselves for this mission that would surely involve combat of some sort. Koden continued to hold his still almost complete apple in his right hand which only had two or three decent bites taken from its wholesome form. The Jounin moved his left hand up to his jacket, unbuttoning the cloak and stuffing it into his bag which he had swiftly flicked off his shoulders. He didn’t expect his team to do the same; Koden’s action was a mere protocol in case he needed to use his poisonous Nano beetles immediately. His Kumogakure body armour was revealed along with his regular Jounin attire, moving his left hand to a pocket he grabbed out the scroll, skilfully unravelling it with one hand and flicked it up, using his right forearm as a platform to have it open as his apple remained in his right. Looking over the scroll which contained the map to where they were required to go. Once again bringing the apple to his mouth as he removed a pen from his pocket, putting an X on a location that wasn’t too far from where they were currently located before ravelling it back up, placing the pen back in his pocket and grasping the apple with his right hand once more. He turned around and threw the apple over to Inari. As he reached back into his back pack as he spoke. “I’ve marked a location you are to go to now, your to set up an intelligence network on behalf of Kumogakure. The Raikage gave me a list of contacts but I know the man there, his name is Jungo. Ask for him and give him this.” Koden removed a decent sized sack from his bag and threw it to Inari. “That’s the money you are to give him, he should take you into upstairs of his bar, it is there that the Spy Network is to be established.” Koden explained as he zipped his bag back up. “Kyo will accompany you as Morel and myself will venture into the forest, the organization’s village is located in here, you’ll clearly be able to locate it, the small mansion will be our target as that is where our target should be located. I along with Morel will prepare our entrance by taking out any initial threats until you re-join us.” Koden explained as he turned back to the forest, proceeding to take a last bite from his apple he moved swiftly into the forest, bursting off away from Inari and Kyo expecting Morel would follow.
Trusting that the Chuunin and Genin could complete their task efficiently he knew he and Morel had some time to clean up the mess before they got back, such as the guards or scouts that would be surrounding the small village and mansion. As Koden moved further into the forest he eventually leapt up into a tree coming to a stop, crouching on it while he peered through the bushes. Morel was on the ground below, crouching in the bushes but in distant to hear Koden’s whispers. The two were now in close visual distance of the village; it was very secluded, not too open and close to the bushes. To put it simple; perfect. He surveyed the area spotting a dozen of actual guards who seemed to be set on specific patrolling routes. The two would wait in the flora for one whole loop of these routes, observing each guards movements for the entire duration. A few of them clearly passed one another on their journeys which made the task a bit more difficult, but nothing they couldn’t handle. Koden was aware that there were most likely scouts too he just couldn’t spot any as of yet. “Six targets, melee weapons, standard movements. They aren’t shinobi.” Koden softly reported to Morel, knowing that his view was less accurate with the bushes in front of him, unlike Koden’s higher ground. Koden noticed the girl of the guards approaching their area, he didn’t appear to notice they were there and was continuing his route. Koden suddenly hurled his apple at the man’s head, hitting his head with a light thud as the man was surprised by the fruity assault. He bent down picking up the apple, appearing to be disgruntled with what had just happened, he held a bat like weapon in his other hand as he looked to Morel’s direction, seeing the boy’s distinct shiny silver hair poking through the greenery. Thinking he was a mere brat the guard journeyed into the bushes yet to speak but instead snort grumpily as he moved to Morel. Koden would drop down from the tree, his feet hitting the man straight in the back as the guard fell over the bush beside Morel, dropping his weapon and the apple in the process, the Aburame shifted the man to his back quickly, bringing a hard and immediate forearm strike to the man’s face, rendering him unconscious. Koden proceeded to remove wire from his pocket, tying the man’s hands and legs behind him. He most likely wouldn’t wake before the assassination was complete just Koden continued to take precautions. He chuckled lightly without looking over to Morel. “Sorry about that, I acted impulsively instead of informing you of my plan.” He smiled, he clearly lied, he did it completely on purpose he knew Morel’s presence would draw the guard to the bushes and let Koden strike. He was finished with restraining his unconscious foe as he crouched at the bushes next to Morel. “Five targets left, we are going to have to do this in a clean sweep. You take the two around the left, bring them into the bushes and tie them up. Minimum causalities would be a priority.” Koden whispered quickly and clearly. He didn’t rule out the idea of no causalities, if it was necessary he would accept the idea.
He moved quickly in the bushes to the right expecting Morel would do the same in opposite way. His next target had. One of his comrades would be approaching soon so Koden had to act quick, the man moved closer to the bushes but Koden would have to surface from them in order to actually get the man, or at least draw him closer. Koden quickly performed a hand sign, as a small puff of smoke burst next to him; he had created a basic clone as it walked out and of the bushes. The guard catching a glimpse of it in his peripherals he ran at it swiping his baton at it as it dispersed, leading him to come crashing into the bushes, hitting the ground next to Koden. The Aburame stuck with his original conclusion, slamming his forearm into the man’s face rendering him unconscious just like the fellow guard before him. Tying him up as he moved a little more to the right, his next foe came around the corner just as anticipated. The guard had a sword in a holster; he would have no time to withdraw it as Koden leapt from the bushes this time, flying at his opponent with his foot straight as an arrow as it connected harshly with the man’s head knocking him to the ground unconscious too. Koden bent down to the man, preparing to pick him up and grab him back to the bush and tie him up with his comrade as another figure emerged around the corner, it was the final guard, baton in hand as he looked at Koden. ‘Shit, he changed his route?’ Koden thought immediately as the man prepared to yell out, directing it at Koden. The Aburame Jounin suspected he was about to say “Hey, what the hell is going on here?!” Like any other regular slob guard that would have walked around the corner. It was clear what was going on, Koden was handing them their asses but he still had to ask. But the man could even finish the “Hey” Koden was standing in front of him, delivering a harm first to his throat which would temporarily disable his voice box and wind him so he couldn’t speak, the man bent down in instinct as he went to hold his throat, Koden proceeded to grab the back of the man’s head and thrust his knee up, using the momentum of his knee as well as the man’s head to deliver a powerful knee to the cranium, knocking this guard unconscious too. ‘That was close.’ Koden thought again as he sighed from the hiccup that had just occurred. He threw this guard of this shoulder as he collected his weapon too, moving to the guard with the sword who continued to lay unconscious dirt down in the dirt, grabbing him around the waste and picking him up with one hand with ease, he journeyed back to the bush and placed them with their third combatant, tying them up as well as Koden swiftly moved back to his original location to meet back up with Morel. Still being aware for scouting rebels who would be in the forest, the Jounin had hoped that Morel hadn’t experienced anything like Koden did, but he assumed everything was good or else the Genin would have caused some commotion that would have led the whole small village to awaken and attack. Concerns also arose about Inari and Kyo hoping everything was okay with them too. Koden made it back to his original location, perching himself back up on the tree as he scanned the area, the guards were gone but Morel was nowhere to be seen, he must have done it effectively, Koden was somewhat impressed as he awaited for the smoking Genin to re-join him.

| Morel crouched behind a small bush, his cigarette while lit did not emit any smoke, only he and the party leader Koden had arrived at the mansion. Inari and Kyo being sent on a secondary mission to set up an intelligence network when they had arrived in the village. Currently Koden sat in a tree above Morel, scouting the mansion and learning the guard's movement paths. Morel sat silently while this was done, at one point he was able to see some movement, but the foliage along the forest floor blocked his vision too much for him to be able to judge anything accurately and thus he was forced to rely on Koden to be his eyes. Eventually, Koden spoke quietly, just loud enough for Morel to hear him if he strained his ears. “Six targets, melee weapons, standard movements. They aren’t shinobi.” He said before hurling something at the mansion. A dull thud was barely audible and though his vision was greatly diminished, Morel could see the guard focus in on him and begin his approach.
Immediately he reached behind himself, grabbing a kunai from his pouch. Glaring at the guard between the gaps in the brush, ready and waiting for an opportunity to cut the man down before he could call for reinforcements. However, just before he was in Morel's range, Koden dropped down from the tree above, taking the man out and apologizing for his tactic. Giving his orders for Morel to go around the side of the mansion and take out the two guards who would be there while maintaining as low a casualty count as possible. While he was not too impressed that Koden had not filled him in on his little plan, Morel was far more annoyed at himself for not hiding himself properly. If his enemy had been a shinobi, he would have been dead in an instant. He couldn't screw up like that again. Nodding to Koden he understood the order, Morel took off in the direction he was ordered.
Taking root on a tree branch, Morel began to study the area. He did not have much time as the first guard began to round a corner and come into sight. If Morel let him get past this corridor, then the chances the leader would be caught would be to high and the entire operation would be bust. He did not have time to wait for the second guard to come into sight as he dropped from the tree. Keeping low to the ground, he charged forward, quietly as possible and staying in the guard's blind spot he flanked around and once he was at about a fourty-five degree angle when he made his move. Charging in as fast as possible, he leaped with a flying kick, striking the guard in the back of the knee. Immediately dropping him and before the guard could let out a startled cry, giving him a swift blow to the throat. Crippling him and reducing him to a choking mess. At this point he heard footsteps approaching from behind, the second guard. Looking to the choking man he quickly struck him again, knocking him out before charging down the hallway. The guard turning the corner just in time to see a flash of silver as Morel gave him three powerful blows in an instant. One to the throat and two in the stomach, dropping the man almost immediately. His face frozen in shock before melting into a peaceful slumber.
Catching the man on his shoulder, Morel quickly returned to the downed man, heaving him over his other shoulder. Though he was young and currently looked like he was being smothered by the two unconscious guards, his taijutsu training to this point gave him the strength to carry the two. Though it was still no easy task, he carried them into the woods, placing them by a tree once he believed them to be far enough from the mansion. Pulling out his old clothesline, he tore it in half and used it as a gag for the two men while using some wire to bound the limbs.
As he returned to the edge of the woods, he could see Koden waiting. It seemed he had already completed his task and was now waiting on Morel, who simply walked up to his side, taking a deep breath and exhaling a cloud of smoke to reveal his presence.

| A small puff of smoke was blown right next to Koden’s face, but this was not the type of smoke that was caused by that of a summon or even a clone, it was the distinct smoke of a cigarette, and it was because of this that Koden knew it was Morel who stood beside him, without having to even turn his head. The shorter and younger shinobi stood beside his captain reuniting from their brief separation to eliminate the additional threats that could have made this mission a failure. It would seem Morel had dispatched the two guards Koden assigned him in good timing, since he arrived back at their meeting location ten or so seconds after Koden himself. Saying that he was impressed would be a bit of an over exaggeration but Koden was pleased that Morel completed his task with little to no altercations that could have affected the entire mission. His mind remained focused on the task at hand, refusing to think about the progress of Inari and Kyo anymore as he gathered a swarm of insects out in front of him, still behind the bushes the insects came from his sleeves as they began circling the area in front of the two Kumogakure shinobi “Go..” he whispered lightly once more as his beetles shot off behind Morel and Koden deeper into the forest. What Koden had done was send them on their own patrolling, tracking down any scents of chakra; it would be easy for them to discover any scouts in the area and take care of them without Koden or Morel having to worry about being jumped from behind by a ninja-wannabe.
Koden finally turned to his younger comrade and spoke. “I think we should infiltrate the mansion. There’s no point on waiting for Inari and Kyo at the moment, if we can eliminate some of the threats inside there before they arrive; it will be even easier for us to take care of Karudo in case of a struggle in this mission.” Koden used logic in his words in an attempt to persuade Morel that this was the correct thing to do; Koden believed it after all and in the end even if Morel would disagree with the idea the decision would ultimately be Koden’s decision. Koden leapt back up into the tree above them, looking at the mansion itself this time. “Four stories high, we’ll secure breach the first two at least, you’ll take the ground floor and I’ll take the second one. Be elusive as always, minimum causalities.” Koden whispered down to his comrade before leaping off the tree back into the slightly open area. He approached slowly, being quiet as he would walk with an alert and prepared movement. He and Morel could now see the proper entrance to the mansion which had another two guards standing each side of the massive doors. Koden looked back and nodded at Morel, which was telling Morel to follow his lead, Koden flanked to the right and moved around the outside, hoping Morel would do the same to the left. Koden would come up to the entrance from the east as he would leap above the guards, though they remained unaware as the guard on the left approached the guard on the right. Now in a close range for Koden he charged little portions of Raiton Chakra into all ten of his fingers, landing in between the two guards he grabbed each one of them on the head which would send the small bursts of Raiton Chakra through their brain rendering them unconscious as they fell to the ground. Before they could hit, Koden would grab the man on the right as he slumped into an unconscious heap in Koden’s arms; assuming Morel had caught the guy on the left since he hadn’t heard a sudden thud. Koden moved the man around the side of the building as Morel did the same. Both of the Kumogakure ninja gently placing the guards up against the mansions wall, Koden approached the main entrance, peering in he noticed another lot of guards just a few metres away. “We’ll go around the back.” Koden ordered as he shifted directions. He knew either of them could handle the bunch of hooligans but he was unsure how many more guards were behind them inside those main doors which led him to consider an alternate entrance.
Reaching the other side of the house, it seemed less guarded from the inside and thus made it a better place for Morel to enter, unfortunately for Koden though, the staircase for the third floor was at the front of the house; meaning he would have to clear out almost the entire floor if he wanted to make sure Morel was okay to reach the second floor. Koden remained silent as he directed Morel to a window, assuming the Genin would know that the Jounin was directing him to use that as his entrance point. Little did the two shinobi know by now Koden’s insects had drained two scouts and were tracking down the third. They were all clear now, Koden leapt up grasping the floor of the balcony on the second floor, pulling himself up a bit more as he reached for the railing grasping it with his right hand and then his left he pulled himself up as he crouched upon the railing, peering through a side window as the doors windows were blocked by expensive looking curtains. Koden saw a few guards in one room alone, he knew this would be difficult and had already decided that he didn’t wish to use many techniques with chakra, the more chakra he had saved in case he was to engage Karudo in battle the better. He gently moved onto the balcony properly as he reached for the door handle, of course it was locked however; pulling out two small picks be proceeded to pick the lock and open the door gently. Now inside the house he could see two guards further down the hall way but were facing the other direction. Lucky for Koden this allowed him to clear his path in the meantime.
The first room would appear to be the most difficult, with three guards in one room. Remembering the appearance of one of the guards he had dispatched outside, Koden used the transformation technique to take the man’s appearance as he casually walked into the room. The three men noticed the man’s figure about said his name, which was apparently Hamu, questioning why he was not on patrol. Koden remained silent as he got closer, the men obviously not being too suspicious thinking it was merely one of their chums. They asked if Hamu was deaf since he was yet to answer, but as soon as that sentence was complete the one that did all the talking received a sudden headbutt, which sent him back for a moment, turning to the other two, Koden quickly used his left forearm to block an oncoming baton strike and countered it with an elbow to the face, shifting directions immediately he ducked a swing of a sword but the man would attack again going for a secondary swipe, Koden disarmed the man and turned the sword that was now in his possession striking the man with the handle right in the head knocking him back onto a couch, the second man who had the baton was still moving around on the soft mat he had landed on which obviously meant he was still conscious, Koden quickly delivering a sweeping kick to his face to finish him off, he focused back to the talkative one of the trio, wrapping him up in a headlock and gagging his mouth his Koden’s glove covered hand before he could alert the others. The all had transpired in four or five seconds and was performed impeccably, Koden transformed back to his regular self in a puff of smoke as the man began to struggle, Koden clearly being capable of hearing the man’s extremely muffled screams Koden spoke aggressively yet quietly. “If you do not stop, I will kill you.” Koden said as he tightened his grip, however the man would not give an inch. “Shut the fuck up!” Koden whispered into his ear once last time as the man still struggled from Koden’s grip. Koden tightened his grip even more, especially around the man’s mouth to give him better control of the entire head as his screaming came to a sudden halt. But this wasn’t due to the fact that Koden had once again tightened his grip; it was due to the fact that Koden had snapped his neck on purpose during the process, killing the man instantly. Koden had been the bearer of the first casualty but he was still focused, laying the recently deceased male on the carpet next to his unconscious buddy.
Koden progressed down the hall way a little more, taking out one more guard on his way there with an accurately delivered forearm to the face, the clearance of the floor had seemed to be easier than originally anticipated which delighted the Aburame Jounin because he wanted to leave as less as a trail behind him as possible. By now his beetles had seized four scouts and were still looking for more as Koden ventured further down the hallway, he couldn’t hear anything beneath him which allowed him to estimate that Morel was efficiently undergoing his task too. Koden approached the two guards at the end of the hall; they stood behind an arch way but were mostly visible to Koden. The Kumogakure Jounin neared them, preparing to attack as he finally did hear a noise below him, but it wasn’t a commotion from down stairs, it was the floorboards that supported his feet, one of them certainly creaked. ‘Damn.’ Koden thought to himself instantly as he flashed over to the arch on the opposite side of the guards he pressed himself up against the wall. Although he could no longer see the guards, he assumed they were facing his direction when he heard one of them ask the other if they had heard that creaking. Koden’s heart began to race until the second one replied saying that he didn’t hear a thing. Koden wanted to sigh in relief, but he knew from this distant both of them would most likely hear. The guard that thought he heard something decided to check anyway, passing down the arch past Koden, he walked past the Kumogakure Jounin almost down to the end of the hall, but not too far to see what the Aburame had done to his fellow guards. During this man’s inspection Koden went to deal with his apparently deaf partner who remained on the other side of the arch, Koden quickly moved around the slight corner using his left hand to hand down the man’s weapon as Koden delivered a powerful punch directly into his face which knocking him out immediately, his body tried to fall but Koden held it in place so the guy who went for a walk down the hall would still see the figure of his fellow guard when he journeyed back to his post. As the man came back he told his unconscious partner it was all clear, when he came back he looked to his partner, realizing he wasn’t conscious and could see Koden standing behind him holding him up, but it was too late; this was the Jounin’s plan who sent a straight side kick to the second guards chin which connected as the man span around one hundred and eighty degrees falling to his knees and then his stomach unconsciously. Koden placed the guard he held up on the ground too as the second floor was now secure. Hoping Morel was doing okay down stairs, he expected the Genin to be joining him shortly. What the Aburame also assumed though that Inari and Kyo would be on their way now, Inari having her tag on both Morel and Koden would easily be able to locate their exact whereabouts and would have clear path all the way to the mansions second floor if Morel had completed his task correctly.

| Morel took a couple more drags from his cigarette as his commander began to amass an army of insects from underneath his clothing. The tiny bugs swarmed and circled Koden before he whispered their command, at which time they launched into the woods behind them. Koden then turned to the young genin, his order that they would proceed to infiltrate the mansion before reuniting with the second half of their group. Suggesting that if they should encounter their target, it would be easier to engage him in this manner. Morel had no response, but the steady stream of smoke that leaked from the tip of his cigarette immediately died. Koden then leaped up into the tree beside them and surveyed what he could see, looking for a strong point of infiltration. Upon infiltration of the four story structure, Morel was to eliminate any threats on the bottom floor with minimal casualties, Koden would take the second. Leaping down from the tree Koden instructed Morel to follow him as they approached the mansion.
Nearing the main entrance, they spotted two guards standing by a large door. Koden turned and nodded to Morel before darting to the right side of the building, Morel doing the same to the left. Assuming the plan was to take out the guards at the door, he used the underbrush at the edge of the woods to circle around and approach from his target's blindspot. Arriving just in time as Koden dropped down between the guards and immediately immobilizing one of them. The other one taking a moment to gain his senses and prepared to strike as Morel appeared behind him, landing a hard strike on the back of the man's neck, dropping him instantly. Catching him before he hit the ground, Morel then following Koden and placing the man around the side of the building and out of sight. Koden then checked the main entrance before stepping back and instructing that they would infiltrate the building from the back.
Reaching the back of the building, Koden silently motioned towards a window that Morel would use as an entrance point. He then leaped up and began his infiltration of the second floor leaving Morel on his own. Peering inside, he saw the small room was empty at the moment. Sliding the window open as quietly as possible, he climbed into the building. Not dropping down the floor though as he looked to the ceiling. Luckily for him the ceiling was tiled with Tatami mats which allowed him to easily slide one open as he leaped up and began to climb into the support struts. The space was extremely narrow and if it weren't for his small stature, he would not be able to use this tactic. It was extremely dark and dusty, every movement throwing up huge clouds of dust and would make breathing for most people very difficult. Morel however simply held his breath, something he could do for an entire hour if he did not take any action. For this though, he was sure he could maintain a single breath over the course of fifty minutes at least.
Shifting the tile back into place he left a small notch which would allow him to spy on the room should it become occupied later. At this point his movement would be methodical. Move across the struts as quickly as possible while maintaining his stealth. Shifting a tile slightly to spy in a room, taking a headcount of anyone he found and moving on. He slowly but surely scouted out the entire floor, counting a total of ten. He then chose his first target, a single guard in a small room. He seemed to be slacking off and Morel decided to assist him with a forced nap. He slid the ceiling tile off to the side and shifted his body around. Fixing his feet within the struts, he dropped down behind the guard and placed him in a headlock. The guard grabbing at Morel's arm trying to break the hold. Unable to call for help or escape, the man quickly fell silent and Morel dropped him. Climbing back up into the ceiling and replacing the tile.
As he made his way through the rafters once more, a loud creak above his head caused him to freeze, dust particles falling into his hair. Above him he could hear the hurried scuttle of feet across the floor, then silence. Morel remained frozen for several antagonizing moments until he began moving again once he believed the coast to be clear. Moving to the next tile he displaced and peering down, two guards were in this room. Their positioning made it difficult to find an opening as taking out one would give the other ample time to call for help. Looking around in the rafters, he came up with a quick plan. Repositioning himself, he slid another tile out of place, only by about half a centimetre and about two meters from the guards. He then began to pile the dust that littered the rafters and slid it to the very edge of the tile, being careful as not to let any fall. Small pebbles that had fallen through the floorboards were added to the pile, they would be of great assistance.
He then crawled back about 3 meters, shifting a tile to confirm his position to the guards and quietly removed the tile. He then looked to the dirt pile he made and blew quietly. The dust and dirt fell down the opening, the dirt clattering softly on the floor while the dust would hand in the air. The two guards hearing the noise turned to see and the dust distracted them long enough for Morel to strike. Dropping down from the ceiling he hit the guards hard, knocking them out instantly. Catching the two before they hit the ground, he placed them in a corner, behind a table so they would be less noticeable. He then grabbed one of the guards by the face, turning out around and opening the eyes for a moment before using a transformation jutsu.
Exiting the room, he recalled another guard was wandering the hallway nearby, he would be the next target. Sure enough, as Morel rounded the corner the guard was there pacing in place and mumbling incoherently to himself. He caught sight of Morel and immediately called out "Hey, Sato, the hell you doing!? I've been looking for you". Morel then suddenly realized he could not reply as he did not know the voice of the man who's face he was wearing. "Oi!" He called again, approaching Morel quickly "I said what the hell were you doing?" Morel stood silently until the man was within striking distance. Glaring into his eyes "Infiltrating" He said monotonously as he struck the man in the throat before he could call for assistance. Immediately assuming his form and stashing the body round the corner in time as another guard came around the corner behind him.
"Everything okay here?" The guard called out, Morel turning to face him "Yeah, that damn Sato is slacking off. I'll fix him good next time I see him" Morel could only hope he fit the mannerisms of this man as the guard seemed to accept the lie. Morel striking the moment he turned to go back to his position. Five down, five to go. He was definitely taking far too long though, by now Koden should have easily cleared his entire floor. Of the remaining five, two were in the opposite corner of his current position, two were stationed at the gate and the last was just outside the room that held the two. If he could lure them all into one area, it may be possible to take them all out at once. However such a strategy would be far too risky for him. The odds of a guard escaping in the commotion was too great.
Morel retreated back into the ceiling, throwing away his disguise as he made his way through the narrow rafters and towards the three isolated guards. He too them out in a similar manner to the first three, choking out the first one then dropping down and eliminating the other two. Now came the difficult task, he would be unable to drag any of the guards from the entrance, they would immediately sound the alarm if he did so. Once more he found himself in the rafters, peering down silently at the two holding position. He was certain that Koden had already completed his task long ago, Morel had to finish this now.
There wasn't much point to subtlety anymore as the rest of the guards were already out on this floor. So long as they weren't too loud, they would pose no threat of alarming other guards nearby. Sliding a tile out of the way, Morel positioned himself carefully over the opening, one guard directly below him. Morel then dropped down on top of the guard, the man collapsing with a startled cry as the other guard turned to see what happened, Morel lunged at him, striking him several times and dropping the guard. The other just recovering from the drop as Morel spun around and punched him right in the face, his head bouncing off the floor and an audible crack as his nose was crushed under Morel's knuckle.
With a sigh of relief, Morel slumped himself against the wall, brushing dust off his body and hair while reigniting his cigarette and waiting for Koden to come downstairs. This took way too long.

| Speeding through the woods the only thing that was visible from the girl was a dark blue fading flash. Her brown her was tied in a loose pony-tail while the wind was shaping it into a straight line. She was heading for the imposing mansion the captain had mentioned earlier, hoping to find them quick as Kyo was close behind her. Some meters away was an opening to a big building. ''That must be it.'' she said to her partner without turning around to face him. They neared the opening and hid behind some bushes only to see that there were no guards. In fact, the guards were motionless leaning on the mansion walls. Inari looked around and in a matter of seconds she was at one of the men's side and felt his pulse. ''Still beating.'' she mumbled, a bit relived to see that they weren't killed by the others. Inari hated violence of any kind, even if it was directed at the enemy. The girl stood up and quickly shot a pic of the mansion and the defeated guards; The photos might come in handy in the report. Before walking in, the girl turned around to Kyo and looked him in the eye. ''Kyo, about that action.. No one has to know. I mean, it didn't even happen during our true mission so yeah. No need to say anything to anyone.'' the girl quietly said, her eyes still fixed to his. She was feeling uncomfortable with what she had done; Or at least it looked like she was. In reality she had enjoyed every minute of it, even if it wasn't real. But that would have been awkward if the boy knew, so she preferred to show him that she didn't want this to be known by anyone.
Putting her camera around her neck again, the female proceeded to walk into the mansion, assuming that Kyo would follow her inside. Her blue eyes twitched around the hallways trying to find Morel or Koden, but all she could see was bodies lying around. At least they weren't dead, she thought as she turned around the corner and saw a young boy sitting against the wall, a puff of smoke coming out of his mouth. Inari sighed with relief and started running towards the boy, a smile on her face. ''God, I'm glad you're alright!'' she exclaimed after she had quickly examined his body with her eyes; No wounds whatsoever. ''We just finished our part of the mission.'' she explained as her hand gestured to Kyo. ''We need to find the captain. Come on.'' Inari stretched out her thin hand to help Morel get up and then quickly went searching for the stairs. She presumed that their leader would be upstairs. Turning around the corner once again, Inari spotted the long, brown stairs and made her way through them in an incredible speed. Due to her adrenaline rush the female was much faster than before and therefore reached the second floor without any strain. As soon as she was on the second floor, she waited a second for the others to catch up and then dashed through the hallways, searching for Koden. After a couple of seconds, she saw him standing over a man, obviously unconscious. Her footsteps would make him notice them as the girl approached the Jounin. ''Captain! We have successfully completed our mission!'' she exclaimed, breathing a bit heavily as she stared at the Aburame. Morel and Kyo would be standing next to her so she hadn't turned around to check. Her eyes once again scanned the area; Everyone was unconscious. Well, that was only expected from a Jounin, so Inari wasn't really surprised. |

| Morel sat against a wall near the area where he took down the last of the guards, puffing away at a freshly lit cigarette. Several minutes of silence went by, no noise coming from upstairs surely meant Koden had long ago completed his task. Though being a jonin, something of this caliber would be expected of him to do in his sleep. The silence was soon broken though when Morel heard a door opening nearby, two sets of footsteps entering the building. The footsteps quickly approached his location, Morel had a feeling of who it may be, but a hand behind his back gripped several shuriken just to be safe. Relaxing himself as his female team mate rounded the corner, her face beaming at the sight of him. Immediately Inari ran towards Morel exclaiming her relief that he was alright and mentioning that their mission was complete.
Mentioning they should all go find Koden now, Inari outstretched her hand to Morel, who merely glanced at the gesture with a dull stare and bringing himself to his feet without her assistance. Walking past the girl and encountering Kyo who was waiting silently by the corner. Morel waited while Inari took charge and following closely behind Kyo. The group quickly found the main stairway to the second floor. Inari was proceeding at a blistering pace, charging up the stairs in a matter of moments while Kyo and Morel followed slowly behind. Morel almost found it surprising that Inari actually chose to wait for them at the top of the stairs. The amount of energy she seemed to have, it would not be surprising to find her literally bouncing off the walls. Once they had caught up, Inari took off again, though stopping quickly as it seemed that Koden was not far from the stairwell. Though this time Morel chose to keep up with her pace as to reunite with the squad leader. Inari quickly approached Koden in a manner as to clearly announce her presence. Following up quickly by exclaiming: ''Captain! We have successfully completed our mission!''
Morel's eyes widened in shock as his body leaped at Inari. His left hand clenched in a fist which he brought down hard on the back of her head. His right hand immediately shooting around to both catch her and cover her mouth before she could make any further noise. He then pulled her back so his face was right beside hers. "What are you doing you idiot!?" he whispered firmly into her ear "There are still two floors of enemies above us! If they catch on to us now, they'll be able to fortify a defense and this mission will be bust! So next time you think of opening your mouth, try focusing more on the thinking part!" He then released the girl with a mild shove and taking a deep puff of his cigarette before looking at the downed man by Koden's feet. Taking in as much details as he could before storming around the corner to check the stairwell.
Hugging tightly against the wall, he peered up the stairwell. His breathing completely halted and not even a wisp of smoke left the tip of his cigarette. He focused all his senses to the top of the stairs, remaining still for an entire minute. When he detected no activity, he sighed with relief and returned to the group. |
