Spoiler:

The sand gave way with ease to his solid footsteps as the figure walked calmly through the dessert. For the past five years he had been traveling through the world hunting for one thing in particular, never staying in one place longer then necessary. It had been long since he had been in the dessert, and once again was having to readjust to its harsh climate. The heat was ungodly, and the ripping winds around him tore at his ear drums, causing them to howl against his brain. It was no appreciated feature that he was certain of. It was funny how he had left the village of sand, which was now in his sites off to the distance, searching for something that for the past three or so years had resided there all this time. As it was, it had not been wasted time, but time that could have been avoided. It had had its perks, but he was glad that the hunt was over.

He was still quite far from the village itself, but he stopped here. Though his eyes could only use their sixth sense for a certain distance, the fact that the one he was after was of his own blood, and thus would glimmer brightly to the oniryouken, meant that he could feel the blaze of his sons chakra even from this distance. It was faint, and he could get no exact readout on it, but he knew it was there. He fumed. This was it, the calling that had been a well known 19 years in the making and long over due.

Letting go of all the inhibitors he placed on himself, Taku allowed his chakra to flow freely out of his body, sending a beacon out like a lighthouse to anyone who could detect chakra. It would only brush up his concous for a moment, but Ibuki would know instantly and come running. His search, was also over. They had been hunting for each other for many years now, and finally they had met. He knew this was not going to begin with tea and crumpets, and so he had stayed out here, to avoid the drama with the village over shadowing this event, and also to avoid destroying said village. The might of Sookato were about to clash, and such a sight was never seen before, not at this degree.

Taku only wished he would be allowed to speak to him, if even for a minute before the boy launched himself and his frustrations against his defenses. He did not wish to deter the boy from attacking him, for he had earned the right to do so, even if it was not exactly his own fault for what the boy had gone through. It was a debt life owed him that Taku was not in the place to deny him. However, he would not give it to the boy easy, he had no intentions of dying here today. The boy would be forced to prove he was worthy of housing the blood with in his body.

And so he waited amongst the golden grains of sand as he felt the presence of his flesh and blood draw steadily nearer with each passing moment.

Ibuki stretched and leaned back in his little work area. Across his desk were piles upon piles of paper, each one marking a different portion of a different seal. Too many ideas, too many influences, too much for him to do at the moment. It was tiring work, and very, very, very long. Most nights Ibuki was lucky to get a couple hours of sleep, and as such he had managed to get used to the lack of sleep, but for the past week he had been sleeping longer and much deeper than previously. It was like his body was getting ready for something, for someone. The chills had been running up and down his spine for the past few nights, a pale face with black hair flickering at the edge of his consciousness.

That in itself was excessively irritating, having a face in the back of his mind for nights upon nights. If Ibuki wasn’t already semi crazy, he would be jumping head first down that path shortly. Rubbing his eyes, Ibuki leaned forward to go back to work when it hit him. It was for a split second, but the burst of chakra… it was the same as his. Blinking in confusion slightly, Ibuki looked down at his arms to watch as the hair stood straight up, signifying that it wasn’t his imagination. Staring blankly, it took a second for the realization of what had just happened to sink in.

Father…

The thought flew through Ibuki’s mind slowly, like a feather falling through the sky. It was surreal, almost unrealistic to believe that Taku had returned to Suna, but the feel of the Sookato chakra was unmistakable. He was definitely out there, waiting for Ibuki to appear. Waiting for a fight no doubt. That was going to happen regardless of whether Ibuki wanted to or not, it was in the Sookato’s nature, their blood to fight. It was because they naturally had a desire to constantly prove themselves stronger than one another, to gain the legendary contract summon of their clan.

Here… he’s here… he’s back anD HE’S DEAD MEAT thought Ibuki, flying out of his office, out of his house, and into the desert, jumping over the walls and out of the village. The rage that over took Ibuki was enormous, and plenty enough to make him take no notice of the Genin that was approaching his house. Had there been less rage, or if Ibuki had taken notice of anything else, he would have realized that the Genin was one of the new graduates, and was on his team. But he didn’t, and thus Ibuki was over the walls without any recollection of how he had gotten there. But it didn’t matter now, all that mattered was blood, and lots of it. Landing on the ground in front of the man, Ibuki realized with startling clarity that this was the man that was in his dreams. This was why he had been sleeping longer, what his body was getting ready for; to fight this man and prove himself victorious.

Staring down the man, his father, Ibuki blinked, his black eyes gleaming in the light as he waited. “Speak.”

PostSubject: Re: Reunion - [PRIVATE] Reunion - [PRIVATE] EmptyMon 10 Jan 2011, 9:56 pm

The son arrived and said his peace. Arrogance flourished in his words and tone, partially due to the anger he had, partially due to what he sure could be compared to a god complex. For an wavering Sookato, he was sure this was normal, he himself had gone through the stage at Ibuki's age. He was ordered to speak, and this was not taken lightly in Takus eyes which now closed as his hand reached up to cast aside the bangs placed there by the white piece in his hair. They stood square with one another, and as Ibuki eyes explored his father for the first time, taking in the site and feel of his chakra, Taku only centered himself. He would be approaching this fight much differently then he had any other in his past.

His eyes opened their gazes met, each one fierce in its own right, though in a different manner for each. Ibukis was filled with fire and rage. Takus was the dead calm of someone who could not be read. Though he was a fierce combatant, and his elemental predeterminations were aligned with the fiercest and most destructive natures, his soul reflected that of water most of all, and one could neither predict, control, or hold at bay that force of nature. His gaze was sending a simple message to Ibuki: Take care in your tone boy, arrogance and anger will get you know where.

If Ibuki wanted to prove himself here and now, he would have to gain control over his emotions quickly. Though it was a useful tool for overpowering the opponent, he would find it a futile effort against Taku. He needed clarity of mind, and if he did not center himself soon, he would do nothing but disappoint, mostly himself. Taku switched his footing and slid his right leg back and bent slightly at the waist, giving a small curuture to his back as his right hand lay upon his blade attached to his left hip. His thump flicked the hilt up slightly and his fingers hovered over the black grip which was connected to a slightly exposed, and darker blade.

There are no need for words, do what you came here to do.........unless your cause of delay is out of fear.

His words cut through the air with the sharpness and proximity of the wind ripping through them. So far he was displaying his balance of soul and mind. There would be no ease found here for his son, only the relief to finally vent frustrations which had been long since pushed to the back of his mind, yet there and raging all the same. Here and now, was the time for vengeance and repentance.

“…Unless your delay is out of fear.”

Those words rung through Ibuki’s ears and around in his head as he took a large breath and exhaled slowly, calming down slightly. It wouldn’t be good to lose his cool here, not now. He needed to be able to THINK, not just blindly charge right into the middle of this fight without a plan. Which, granted, wasn’t coming any easier than calming down was. Ibuki shook his head and flipped his head down, covering his eyes with his sunglasses as he applied a very minute amount of chakra to his ears, causing the plugs he had created to block his ears and protect them from noise.

Reaching into his pouch, Ibuki threw a small metal container at Taku, and then was on the move, rolling off to the side as he waited for the container to do its job. A split second later, a loud concussive sound erupted, coupled with a blinding, sun like light, and then everything disappeared. Ibuki swore as the dots appeared in his vision; apparently his glasses weren’t strong enough to counter act the power of that grenade.

As Ibuki blinked, clearing the dots from his eyes, he moved closer towards his opponent, forming handseals as he did so, and quickly. He didn’t have much time to fire off this technique, regardless of whether or not his grenade worked. Once he was in close enough he would be able to fire off this technique… just a little closer and… Ibuki slammed his hands down onto the sand, causing some of it to fly up into the air as a pale, faint circle appeared. It was nigh impossible to see the warning glow in this desert, and without that, only Ibuki would be able to tell where the seal was, unless Taku had some form of seal sense which was unlikely.

Now, with the muscles in his back relaxing slightly, Ibuki closed his eyes for a split second, directing his senses toward his father. He was looking for a seal, anywhere, any one would do. The seal was required for this technique, and without it Ibuki would need to change his plans. Luckily though, that wasn’t the case as Ibuki managed to find the small pouch of exploding tags that Taku was carrying on his person, and finished his hand seals. “Katsu…” Ibuki whispered as he pulsed chakra through his handseals and into one of Taku’s exploding tags. If Ibuki was lucky, the tag would set off a chain reaction of all the other seals in the pouch. If not, well, it was a warning. Not to get close, and being too cocky or unconcerned would be a problem for Taku, just like the message he sent Ibuki earlier. No words were needed then, and none now. Flipping through more seals, Ibuki slammed his hands on the ground again and set up another seal around himself, this one coinciding with the previous circle. This one however was a Repulsion seal, as compared to the paralysis one from earlier. If Ibuki had managed to do this right, his father would soon be flying across the desert paralyzed. Which was unlikely, but hey, it was an opportunity.

PostSubject: Re: Reunion - [PRIVATE] Reunion - [PRIVATE] EmptyMon 10 Jan 2011, 11:18 pm

Sukai was running from his home, to see his new sensei. He had finally gotten word that he was going to get a team. This made him so excited that he rushed out of his home, only eating three-fourths of what he normally ate. He had his club on his back and was ready to go for his first day of training. He had thoughts of what he sensei was going to be like, because he did not hear much about him, all he had was a paper of where he lived and his sensei's name. He jumped from building to building until he arrived in the area of his sensei's home. Soon, landing at the front door, Sukai walked up to the door and it soon opened and he had to jump out of the way of the person who was running out the door. It seemed this man was his sensei. He could see that he was in a hurry, because Ibuki did not even notice him. "Ibuki sensei!" Sukai yelled out, but with no luck. It had seemed Ibuki had more important things to attended to, however, Sukai wanted to see what was going on. Sukai began to follow Ibuki, but had trouble keeping up, because of the size difference.

It had seemed Ibuki was going outside of the village, and Sukai had never really been out of the village on his own. Without any seconds thoughts, Sukai exited the village, to see what made his sensei leave in such a hurry, with someone standing right in front of him. Sukai was a little bit nervous, and the air around him felt a little uneasy, so he took out a small candy bar to calm his nerves. "Ibuki sensei!, what are you doing out here?" Sukai yelled out before he could see anything. He soon could see outside of the gates, and it seemed a man was standing in front of Ibuki, and he had never seen him before. It seemed that the two knew each other, and something was going on, but neither of them were moving. He almost though they were having some sort of starring contest. Who is this guy?

Sukai slowly emerged out of the gates, into full view of both the shinobi. He still had no idea what was going on, as he finished the last bite of his snack. He felt a little uneasy just watching the two, he kinda felt like he wasn't meant to be there. Both of them looked very serious, and he knew that this was no meeting of friends, this was not a starring contest. He gulped, because he was little scared, and was soon frozen to move. He wasn't scared, but something told him not to move from that spot, and he did not dare go against a feeling as cold as this one. He focused on the two men, and soon Ibuki spoke. It was only one word, but it was cold, very cold, and it sent chills down Sukai's entire body. The other man spoke, and his words were just as cold, and if not, more. They were not on good terms at all.

Soon, Ibuki had dashed towards the man, and was making seals as he did. This was a fight, and Sukai was witnessing it for the first hand. This was his first real fight, he had never felt the air so cold, in such a place. He was about to see two very powerful ninja fight, and there was nothing he could do about it. Although he knew that he could not lose his sensei, so he would step in if needed. For now, Sukai stood frozen, and shaking.

Reunion - [PRIVATE] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Reunion - [PRIVATE] Reunion - [PRIVATE] EmptyTue 11 Jan 2011, 2:24 am

Taku was pleased. Though he detested the first move, and often saw the one who took it as foolish, Ibuki did not waste his movements here. Though it would allow himself to be read like an open book at this stage in the game, it was overall, fairly impressive in how he handled himself. The first action was to throw a small ball which Taku could feel the energies surrounding. It was a grenade of sorts to be detonated by some chakra, a small amount, too small to cause any harm. Also the distance between them, roughly 20 feet, was a bit too far for the power he had put behind the through for it to be a simple explosion meant to rip him apart. Rather, it was a distraction type, flash-bang or smokescreen. In his eyes, it was too far out to be a smokescreen bomb, and it was doubtful that his boy had already forgotten that such a cloak would not shield him from his father gaze. Still he could not be sure, but due to the fact that it could go either way, and more evidence pointed towards it being a flash-bang grenade, he would treat it as such, for if it were a smoke bomb, the movement would be wasted for him, but not put him in a bad position.

With such swift percision that only one who had trained their arms extensively could pull off, Taku drew his blade from his hilt and while doing so crouched down, closing his eyes with quick ease. He held the sword with the flat sides vertical, while holding the length of the blade horizontal before his head, furthermore he bowed his head between his shoulders and arms, creating a box around his dome, finishing the maneuver just as the light went off.

Despite his best efforts, his vision still went white from the blast, which was more of an effect from the light around him then damage to the eyes, they still burned slightly. Furthermore, though he managed to avoid the worse effects of distortion from the grenade, his ears hurt like hell. It had been a while since he had dealt with this sort of thing, only saved by the close proximity of his shoulders to his ears and the billowing cloth of his vest and gi shirt filling the gap. It was very much an imperfect barrier, and he still suffered because of it, but he was entirely alright and the blow, in the larger scheme of it all, was a minute one. He had maintained his composure, and not left much opening for an attack as he was in a position to act swiftly should one come and had made himself a smaller target. All these things and preparations had been pulled off with a simple maneuver, such was his style.

However, his sixth sense through his eyes screamed a warning to him as a new threat appeared at his side. It did not take long for him to deduce where it was coming from, the stack of 20 or so explosive tags he had hidden in his cloth belt. One had been activated, and was surely already starting to fizzle to the point where it would explode. The fact that the activation lit the end on fire meant it would in turn, set the other ones aflame. He essentially had 20 fast ticking time bombs on his hip. It was not even a decision to make, it was the only thing he could do.

Pivoting his wrist, he turned the sword around in his right hand and aimed the tip directly for the stack of tags. The blade easily slipped between the white and black material and pierced through the cloth of the wrapping/makeshift belt with ease, as well as the stack of tags. He pivoted up, bring the tags up, and tearing the fabric of the belt further, though it still had plenty of tension to cling tight to his waist and keep his clothing held together. With out pause he took the sword and aimed it straight down and shoved the pile into the sand, burying it do the nature of the sand, allowing the force to push it down, and also, bring his body up into a hand stand, his back turned to Ibuki now, and his eyes closed. It was at this time, he took notice of the boy, and the fact his chakra was active, just moments before detonation.

Fuuinjutsu hmmm, interesting, only way he could activate a tag from that distance that he shouldnt have known was there. He used his chakra to stimulate the seal and start the process. Clever.

Taku was launched upward by the muffled blast along with a buffet of sand, which was why he had closed his eyes. As he moved upward through the air, he sheathed his sword, flipped his body around using his hips as a pivoting force, and began to make a series of hand signs, finally opening his eyes. He took note just before his feet touched the ground, that Ibuki seemed to be standing there waiting, and also there was a boy watching not far off. He hoped the boy wasnt foolish enough to get involved here.

Furthermore, the fact that he was just seeming to stand there waiting, if only briefly, having just stood up, led Taku to a few possible conclusions. A) He had laid a trap to be set off by him coming to close, or B) He had sent some unseen attack either underground or some other hidden mean, using the several distractions to cover up the bit. He had only had a window to catch his chakra being active, but hadnt been able to pinpoint what exactly it was doing. However, even if he hadnt had the small glimpse, the boy obviously wasnt dumb enough to just stand there for no reason what so ever with out having a plan in motion. Either way he wasnt falling for it

Either your arrogance has grown so great that you think your old man is that stupid, or you have forgotten I have the same eyes as you my child.

Out loud he said Exploding Flame Shot, as his feet landed flat on the ground in a diagonal stance and his hands erupted into flame. He was planing to test the waters a bit before coming to either of the two conclusions he had drawn so far. Pumping his hands back and forth, a ball of flame leaving his hand with every move forward, he forced the flame to scatter, leaving not many openings for him to move out of the way. Taku was hoping to either force him to set off his trap if there was one or take the opening and use his hidden attack, should there be one, to try and land a blow. If he was able to move in time and there was a trap, Taku only had to keep him from going back to that spot and remember its location himself and the trap would be pointless. The final option was for Ibuki to use another jutsu or something to that effect to intercept the flame, which would cause him to lose more chakra. Either way, this was just the beggining, and his boy would have to do much better then that to pull one over on him.

PostSubject: Re: Reunion - [PRIVATE] Reunion - [PRIVATE] EmptyTue 11 Jan 2011, 4:17 am

Ibuki swore as his paralytic seal missed his mark. The dots across his vision had most likely messed up his sense of where Taku was, which by association meant his repulsion seal also missed its mark. It wasn’t all worthless though, the flash bang grenade had a decent effect on his father, despite the fact that he had managed to negate most of the acoustic damage from that as well as the blinding effects. Coupled with that, the exploding tags were also popping off like cherry bombs in the distance, negating that attack as well.

All in all, that was completely annoying, but again, not worthless. What would make the entire plan worthless were the multitudes of fireballs flying towards the repulsion seal; a very, very bad sign. The seal itself was designed to repel things, yes, but fire coming in contact with the seal would essentially turn into a blazing inferno. That in itself would make it very hard for Ibuki to function, since the heat would be increasing drastically even for the desert, and oxygen would be sucked out rapidly from inside the seal to fuel the fire. That, was bad. Very. Bad.

Swearing under his breath, Ibuki flipped through handseals and took a deep breath. The size of the fireballs and the sheer multitude of them signified this was a very weak fire jutsu, probably a test from Taku. Well, Ibuki wouldn’t be one to disappoint. Arrogance was in the blood after all, regardless if Taku believed that or not. This would be a shocker for the old man, and hopefully would give Ibuki a little reprieve to replan his strategy.

Exhaling exponentially harder than one normally would, Ibuki fired off a giant ball of wind from his mouth, and gave it a little extra power by incorporating a small amount of Sookato chakra into it, giving it a more deadly potential that a normal wind bullet technique. Which was a good thing, since the fire attacks might have weakened the bullet to the point of vanishing if he hadn’t.

The wind bullet impacted the fireballs, seemingly turning in on itself before it erupted into flames and flew at Taku with renewed power. Ibuki wiped his brow to remove excess sweat so it wouldn’t fall down and get in his eyes, and in order to create a little more flair, he reached into his pouch and pulled out a glass container, uncapping it. Rotating his arm quickly and using centripetal force and acceleration to keep the contents in the glass while it would be moving through the air, Ibuki released the glass container and threw it directly into the center of the now giant fireball. Inside the container were a multitude of small glass shards. The impact of the container entering the jutsu should have caused enough of a shock to allow the shards to leave the container, and by doing so caused Ibukis original wind bullet to not only have burst into flames, but also be full of superheated glass.

Jumping out of the seal, Ibuki formed a couple new hand seals and extended his arm towards the general center of the battlefield, moving it in a spiral motion. The resulting jutsu caused a mini tornado to form in the general area, which in turn picked up sand and began blowing it about. While Taku would be able to sense where Ibuki was, the entire point of this jutsu was to hide where Ibuki had placed the active seals. The sandstorm would cause a confusion of direction in the long run, and hopefully allow the seals to serve a purpose later on in the fight. To accompany this distraction, Ibuki began circling towards Taku, being able to feel his chakra and sense his general direction.

Reunion - [PRIVATE] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Reunion - [PRIVATE] Reunion - [PRIVATE] EmptyTue 11 Jan 2011, 5:07 am

Ibuki's chakra suddenly flared back into action, he could feel it, which was what he had been waiting on, and in the midst of it all, he had been anticipating. He could also see through the volley of flames, which at this point had totaled to about ten or so small balls of burning chakra. The seed of his loin was beggining to suck in air. Taku now had more information on him, and added it to the list. Wind Chakra, Fuuinjutsu. The fact that he was Sookato was already known and not part of his continued calculations. Which was not to say that he was not factoring it in, it was just not new information to him. As soon as he took note that the jutsu was being used, he ceased his onslaught of flame and prepared for what he knew was about to happen. The only problem for Ibuki here was, that Taku had all the time in the world, for during the time that he was preparing his wind technique, he was drawing his sword yet again.

Given the nature of the attack, and since he was using wind chakra and was obviously no fool, the technique would have substantial strength but nothing major. It was clear that Taku's had been weak to test the waters and Ibuki's technique's purpose was obviously to reverse the direction of the flames which would, at the same time, ignite Ibuki's own attack and turn it back on Taku. Also, with in the technique, he could feel small patches where chakra was missing, something was hidden with in, though he couldnt tell what. It was obviously not another charka based attack.

Most would have avoided the technique, or gone to block, not Taku. No instead, he simple stood there, and channeled some chakra to his sword. It took only a moment, and the blade changed form. It had been the black sword Kyanseru, and now it was the black scimitar known as Setsuju. He could have used the other for this, but this would be faster as he could channel chakra in through the blade rather then having to focus on forming it around it. Thankfully his Sookato chakra wasn't elemental, and the sword did not distinguish nor reject it for that reason. The use of the assimilation blades abilities here in quickly switching his weapons was not to costly either, and thus far, he was preserving much more chakra then his son was.

He could not sense Ibuki's chakra past the ball which was essentially clouding his senses as far as chakra awareness went, so he did not get to get a read out on the fact that Ibuki had prepared another lower ranked jutsu while Taku had changed swords. He assumed it was low ranking because it hadnt taken but a moment to conjure up the tornado that now was off to his left. Anything with the complexity of a tornado created in that amount of time with that low chakra was obviously weak. He assumed it would be nothing more then an F0 at the most. However, it could gather the sand with ease as each particle was attached to nothing besides gravity, a relatively weak force, even compared to the weak technique. It quickly turned from a pale white wind to a dirty tan cloud as the sand became one with it and the dunes shifted slightly, it wasnt much but it was noticeable. It also became a bit harder to see as the sand continued to be regurgitated at an increased pace, luckily it wasnt too rough, and his eyelids instinctively kept the debris from harming his soft eyeballs.

Suddenly Ibuki's signature returned as he moved to Taku's right, meaning he was on the move, right about the time the good sized fireball was in range, which was perfect timing for him. Taku held the sword to his left and moved to the left, towards the tornado, holding the blade in the same direction as he went, leaping into the air right beside the ball of flame, which given the distance, had been easy to doge. He brought the sword swinging across the air to meet the ball. Halfway through its arc, he unleashed the jutsu hed been preparing.

Absolute Crusher: Hammer of Corrosion

Instantly Sookato chakra formed around his blade and widened, then flattened out, turning into a massive hammer of chakra that smacked into the ball of wind and flame, sending it flying like a baseball in front of Ibuki's path. Taku landed, and took off running in the same path of the redirected ball of flame, and then moved upwards slightly about three meters away, to try to either get Ibuki from the side or behind, just to catch him off guard, but knowing full well hed be sensed before he was able to land a blow at this point. The sword was back to normal at this point, and he would use it as such. He had already tapped into the assimilations blade power and had switched it back to the black blade Kyanseru with the missing middle slot in the center of the blade. He was only going to be seen running, about the same time Ibuki would be evading the attack, giving him enough time to react in kind.

PostSubject: Re: Reunion - [PRIVATE] Reunion - [PRIVATE] EmptyTue 11 Jan 2011, 6:04 am

Ibuki had been running off to the side when he felt, rather than heard a loud thwack. Looking off to the right, he noticed with annoyance that the fire ball he just sent at Taku was coming in his direction, and a faster speed that originally it was moving at. Swearing as he saw and felt Taku moving, Ibiki ran through his options. Since his fathers chakra just disappeared due to the proximity of the fireball, it was going to be nigh impossible for Ibuki to rely on those senses to find him at precisely this moment. Which, normally, would mean Ibuki was about to be subjected to attack.

Sighing, Ibuki slid in the sand as he changed his course, forming two hand seals and applying chakra to the palm of his left hand. Wincing as the heat from the fireball came upon him, Ibuki released the chakra from the jutsu he was about to use, and dove head first through the fireball, his left hand extended. Since the glass was inside the jutsu, that was absorbed into the seal accompanying the jutsu in stasis. Since the jutsu was in stasis, the speed at which it was moving before it was sealed would be the speed at which it exited the seal at, glass and all included.

Rolling on the ground and brushing his clothes off, Ibuki turned his attention to behind him and to his right, where Taku’s signature came back into existence. And it was a good thing too, since Ibuki’s father was moving, and quite quickly. While Ibuki did have a couple swords, and the proficiency to use them, the fact that his father was using them more often than not made Ibuki wary of even considering fighting him in close combat. There was a difference between being proficient in sword techniques, and being a master OF them. Since Ibuki wasn’t the master, he did not want to find out just how big a difference there was between the two, at least not until he managed to fly through the rest of his available options.

And then it was time to move. Not because Ibuki was suddenly being attacked by Taku, but what was about to happen would have hurt him just as much. From the point when Ibuki was rolling from his jutsu dive, he had pulled a pin in another grenade and placed it in the sand. Since the tornado was still blowing, but was dying down quickly, the metallic surface of the grenade wouldn’t be shining to alert Taku of what had happened. In order to ensure the maximum effectiveness of this stunt, Ibuki was moving in a straight line away from the grenade, and began shielding his eyes from the general direction of the soon to be blast. If he timed it right, and judging from the chakra signatures movement he had, if just barely, the blast would hit when Taku was within a meter vicinity of the grenade.

Spinning around and forming chakra in his hand, specifically pure Sookato chakra, Ibuki shot a blast out towards Taku in the shape of a Kunai before he circled around towards the north, forcing Taku to be further south than he was. The kunai blast was approximately half way towards Taku when the grenade went off, and Ibuki barely managed to get his earplugs situated so that the concussive force wouldn’t destroy his ear drums.

As Taku leaped around, out from behind the technique which was shielding his signature, he found the boy simply to be not there. He had essentially shielded his sons chakra from his own view as well as vice versa, however his son had to deal with the giant ball of flame, which kind of evened the score a bit. All the same, he had not been where Taku had predicted, which meant that he was starting to earn some respect. However, he was far from Taku considering him an equal. Then suddenly the fireball disappeared, and saw Ibuki just as he dove off and began to run away.

The boy did NOT want to be in close proximity with him. Not that Taku could really blame him, but at the moment, he just down right seemed to be acting in an unacceptable fashion. One did not simply run from the opponent. Based on what he had seen thus far, though he had not shown as much skill in his timing as Taku would have liked, he was still pretty damn accurate, and he was not one to simply waste movements like that. At that time, he could feel no abnormalities in his chakra, which means he was not immediately preparing for a jutsu, one simply did not just run.

Nor did he think that was the case.

Trap

Still Taku did not know quite what to expect, and he was tired of giving the boy breathing room to attack as he pleased. True, he was allowing the boy to foolishly waste his chakra more and more, but the boy had some to waste, and if he let him play to long, he was probably going to set up a parameter. Not today. So he continued forth, but as no dumbass himself, he sheathed his sword again, and performed a quick jutsu.

Chakra Veil

It was usually not one he used unless he was getting serious, but he just had to be safe and any other safety net for this case he had was going to take just as much chakra, and more time. A black coating of a fiery looking gas escaped his body and formed around his body in perfect armor as he lumbered forward.

He saw the sand and the begging of the flash just in time to act, just as the armor was completing. It wasnt quick enough however. He reacted just quickly enough to pad chakra around his ears thick enough to block out the sound, saving his ears this time, however, his eyes suffered. They still blinked shut instinctively, blocking out any sand, but the light had already hit his retinas, and everything was white, even with his eyelids clamped tight. He quickly acted, turning on his feet and moving west rather then follow his son, distancing himself. the village was south, so he was not moving closer to it, all was good on that point.

He felt Ibuki fire off a blast of chakra at him, and he ducked and rolled, furthering his trajectory west, he would stop when he was 10 meters from where he had been, which wouldnt take long. He was going to keep his chakra armor up until his eye sight returned, which he could already feel coming back to him faster then he had anticipated. However for now he simply stood and waited, feeling glad he had used the chakra armor ahead of time. He faced the direction of Ibuki, still able to feel him as he moved north for now, waiting to see the next move he made, for he would make a move and probably try to take advantage of Taku's state at the moment.

Sukai could not believe his eyes. Everything that was going on, he could not see two ninja doing. Several times he had wiped his eyes and even pinched himself just to see if he was not dreaming. Ibuki was holding his own, and Suaki now knew that his sensei he was assigned to was quite strong. This made him happy and now he was a tad bit more chilled out and he could easily move around if he wanted to. He also knew that he wanted to help Ibuki in this fight, but he knew he would probably only get in the way at this point.

For now all he could do was watch and hope he was not needed. However, at the drop of the hat he would no think twice about helping his new sensei. After all, Sukai never got the chance to even meet the guy, and Sukai knew that he could learn a lot from Ibuki. He felt around in his ninja pouch and pulled out one small yellow pill. This was his clans secret weapon, and Sukai knew he would have to use at least one if he wanted to help at all.

Sukai put the pill in his front pocket so he did have to waste time looking for it again. He sighed, knowing full well this could cause him some serious damage. He looked to his sensei and smiled. Sukai wanted to jump into the battle right now, and started moving towards the two men. However, he stopped himself before he could get close at all. First he needed to make Sukai aware that he was there and ready for battle.

"Ibuki sensei, I am Sukai Akimichi, one of your genin students, if you need my help I am ready to fight!" Sukai yelled out to let his sensei know that he was not alone. This would defeat any element of surprise Sukai might have had, but it was the only way Sukai could let Ibuki know that there was someone else around ready to figh along side a fellow shinobi. Sukai took out his club and awaited his sensei's call.

Reunion - [PRIVATE] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Reunion - [PRIVATE] Reunion - [PRIVATE] EmptyTue 11 Jan 2011, 7:29 pm

As the flash bang grenade went off, Ibuki swore as he saw the coat of black gas begin to expand and cover his fathers body. The chakra veil was a very effective technique, and one Ibuki knew was very hard to combat. The chakra expenditure would be much more draining this time, but regardless, it would be well worth the cost of seeing his fathers face of the combination he was about to perform.

As his father began to move backwards, Ibuki began running through a multitude of hand seals and building chakra. The technique he was about to use was quite destructive, and if Ibuki wasn’t careful in these preparations, he would be caught in the backlash just as bad as Taku, if not worse. As the hand seals finished, Ibuki focused his chakra to his hands, forming a ball that was the combination of fire chakra and a massive amount of his Sookato chakra. Since his father retreated, Ibuki had enough time on his hands to prepare this jutsu and the combination in general.

As the ball reached maximum size, Ibuki didn’t let it just hover in front of him as normal, but instead threw it towards his father, drastically decreasing the distance between the two and putting Taku much closer to the epicenter and making the technique harder to avoid. Regardless of the chakra sensing abilities of the Sookato clan, the jutsu would be much harder to avoid being thrown than it would be if it was standing still and hovering.

As the ball was thrown, the Sookato chakra and fire chakra mixed into a deadly combination, and the ball began bubbling as it reached its potential, and as it did so Ibuki began forming more hand seals. This took less concentration and chakra, allowing Ibuki to focus on his third move of this combination as well. It was at this time that Ibuki heard the very distance call to him, and as he finished the handseals, he glimpsed to the side, towards Suna, and noticed the Genin standing on the sand dune in front of the distant image of the village. Swearing slightly, Ibuki let off the jutsu he just formed and motioned for the Genin to get down and cover his head.

The jutsu he was just used was one that would increase the sheer power of the supernova ball that was coming extremely close to erupting outwards. Around Taku, within approximately five feet in the cardinal directions, four tornados formed, their power drastically stronger than the one Ibuki used to cover the field earlier. Since they were a Fuuton jutsu, the super nova balls power, when erupted, would feed off of the Fuuton chakra and cause the tornados to explode outward approximately another 20 feet with deadly force.

As Ibuki finished motioning to the Genin, he formed yet another set of hand seals, the beginnings of the third move in the combination. This however was much more of a protection ability than an offensive attack. That was fine though, because the jutsu would redirect the backlash of the super nova’s second effect back towards Taku.

Pushing his hand into the ground, now glowing with chakra, Ibuki turned it 90 degrees and winced slightly as he felt his chakra level drop just around half capacity, the jutsu he had used beginning to take their toll. He would be fine in a few seconds, but in a close combat fight, this drain and slight dizziness would have been deadly since it affected Ibuki’s fighting capability at that moment. Due to the increased chakra Ibuki put in the seal, he would be able to move freely without fear of repercussion.

And the seal was activated not a second too soon. The second the seal around Ibuki pulsed with chakra, signifying its activation, the ball he had thrown only moments before erupted, having collapsed into the ground due to its weigh from the combination of chakra. Erupting outwards, the sand flashed into a liquid, extremely hot, flowing glass form. It was like watching extremely hot, steaming water flow over the battlefield . From the outside of the explosion, high pressured winds shot across the battlefield and flattened everything in its path. The winds hit Ibuki’s seal, and thankfully it held, sending the winds back across the battlefield faster than before.

Not only would the tornados explode outwards with destructive force, but the supernova jutsu itself would cause an excessive amount of damage to the area. Even if Taku had managed to dodge the explosion, the winds would have caught him, as well as the super nova’s eruption. Well, the super nova SHOULD have caught Taku in the blast due to Ibuki throwing the ball and placing Taku near the epicenter of the jutsu. Once all that was done, the second wave of winds, redirected by Ibuki’s seal, would hit the man as well, but with a stronger force due to the increased speed thanks to the seal.

Reunion - [PRIVATE] Vide
PostSubject: Re: Reunion - [PRIVATE] Reunion - [PRIVATE] EmptyTue 11 Jan 2011, 9:00 pm

Already the distortion to his eyesight was disappearing, he could feel the burning sensation fading with each passing moment. However, he kept his eyes clamped shut, and though his eyes saw white, his mind saw nothing but black. Taku was using the Oniryouken to its maximum potential. This was no official technique or anything, just a trick he used personally to maximize the use of the Oniryouken in information gathering, and since his eyes couldnt do that for him now in the traditional sense, he would have to display his complete mastery over the dojutsu here and now. In this darkened world inside his head, the chakra signature flared for his son, about 20 meters away. The shape of his body in a colorful aura formed in the battleground he was imagining, piecing it together by using his intelligence and quick mind to form the shapes.

Fire Chakra, Sookato Chakra. Both of these destructive powers were coming together in the boys hands and began circling. It was quite clear what he was doing, using the space and Takus temporary "dampered" battle position against him, and taking this time to prepare one of the most powerful techniques in the Sookato arsenal, especially in their current landscape. There was one slight problem with Ibuki's planning here though. He had not forced Taku to deal with something else, not at an extensive rate anyway. The flash bang grenade simply was not enough for this. He had not mastered its use yet, even if he had mastered how to make the technique. Proper application was much more important. Knowing what was to come, He immediately began to dart forward, just as the technique was thrown.

Already being able to predict the trajectory and position of where the ball would wind up dropping and when, he kept his senses focused on Ibuki, to find out that he wasnt done yet. However, while the boy formed his tornadoes, about the time that Taku had come in a straight line with the hovering ball about 5 meters away, about five feet from the tornado. He completed his own jutsu which his hands had been preparing up till this moment.

Chakra Cage

Using the chakra that had surrounded him as a veil of protective armor, he ripped it off of his body and molded it between him and the area filled with techniques that Ibuki had conjured. He furthered it with more chakra from his body. Typically in this technique, he made six walls. to completely surround the target. However, here, he focused it all into one wall, making it an extremely dense and durable barrier. The technique as whole and spread out was A ranked, focused together like this, it was quite effective against a great deal many things.

He changed his direction as he bypassed the tornadoes, going to the left again, having come up the right side, until he was between the techniques and his son, his makeshift shield to his back with his arm behind him, keeping the technique sustained. He knew the effects of a supernova, and the effects of heat and sand. This whole area for about seventy meters all around was about to be a glass field, and at first, it was going to be really hot, and liquidized. Preparing, Taku used the water walking technique, only unlike normal, he used his Sookato chakra. Normal chakra would not allow for this to work. Only his destructive nature would save his feet, and even then he would suffer slight burns on the soles.

Still his son had not noticed him, as he was preparing his own technique at this time. Every passing second, Taku was getting closer, not quite going full speed to allow for the timing to be well executed. About that time he felt the force of the winds of such heated degree blast against his defense, weakening it, and then blowing around him in a funnel shape. He was safe from being severely injured, but the air heated up to a sever degree, almost suffocating his lungs. He did his best to control his breathing, for he knew if he breathed into heavy and too frequently, he would scorch the organs, and he could be killed by it.

Suddenly he could sense a surge of chakra surrounding Ibuki, and new from the sudden even further increase from heat, somehow the blast of wind was coming back at him, though it had finished attacking him from behind. He didnt have time to bring his arm around, because of the angle his shoulder was, so instead he used his hips to power his whole body to spin on the dime and continued to skate across the newly formed glass lake below him. He surged forth a small bit of more charka to reinforce the barrier just enough, and the next moment, it was stripped completely from him, but the danger had been averted for now. He took note of about when the act had taken place and where he had felt the surge of chakra come from Ibuki. Ten Feet, noted

The rest of the Taku's manuever only took a second or two. He had finished his hand signs the moment his hips brought him spinning back around to face his son, about a meter from where he estimated the barrier to still be, he could feel it tingling his oniryouken even now. Impressive to have still been standing after taking a supernova. It had been a well planned attack on his sons part, and he was slightly impressed. He could have done better, but it had not been a terrible attempt by any means. As he finished spinning around, it was seen that at the end of his index finger was white shining ball. He aimed it directly at Ibuki's abdomen. Trifecta Blast

This was his reply to the destructive Supernova. A blast of fire, sookato, and lightning all in one well executed, extremely quick, and well aimed shot. It only had about 4 meters to travel, and this was considered close proximity. The boy would be caught off guard for sure, and be hard pressed to react quick enough to counter it. Unless he had already prepped a jutsu, he didnt have enough time to execute one now. Furthermore, there was no way any barrier could withstand a blast from the Supernova AND a Trifecta back to back, it was done for. Taku flipped head over heel, landing just inside the circular area that was still sand, heated glass all around them. They were now virtually forced to fight in close quarters as the barrier had blocked the coming flow of glass and funneled it to completely suround them with a sea of molten liquid. His black bladed Kyanseru was already drawn, ready for a fight.

Did you forget who you were facing boy.

PostSubject: Re: Reunion - [PRIVATE] Reunion - [PRIVATE] EmptyTue 11 Jan 2011, 11:10 pm

Sukai's jaw dropped, if he had thought he had seen anything before these attacks, he was dead wrong. The fight was getting more and more intense, making Sukai wonder what he was going to be like as a ninja of there level. He sure had a lot of growing to do, but knew he was on the right path. Ibuki had been showing a lot of skill in this battle, or at least what he looked on as skill. The jutsu that were used were flashy, making them look amazing. Sukai could not believe his eyes, and had them glued to the fight. Sukai hadn't moved from the spot, after taking out his weapon. This was until Ibuki had sent him some kind signal. It did not take him long to know that his sensei was telling him to duck. His eyes opened big and he dropped his weapon and then quickly dropped to the ground. He then covered his head to make sure nothing would hit him. He knew something was coming, something powerful and did everything Ibuki had told him to do.

Soon, a strong wind blew over his head, and he could feel the force of the attack, and was glad that he was warned before hand to duck down. He could have been seriously injured had he not moved to the ground as quickly as he did. As soon as everything passed, he looked up, holding his stance. While on the ground he could not see as much, but he knew something was going to happen, and he thought he might have to step in without Ibuki's say. He slowly stood up so that he could get a better view of things. He then noticed the man had been forming something around Ibuki, and was heading towards him. Sukai had to do something, and think fast. He soon took another pill from his pocket and sighed. He did not want to use this, but he knew this was the only way he could help. He knew that this was going to cause some pain, having heard what his father told him. He put the pill in his mouth, chewed and swallowed. Soon, his face had shown that the pill caused a lot more pain than he had planned for, but it wasn't enough to were he could not help his sensei out.

He soon made hand signs and smiled, while looking at Taku. "You won't harm him while I'm here!" Sukai yelled out in a serious tone. All that was on his mind now, was the protection of his sensei. While his life matter to him, it wasn't something he was thinking of at the moment. Out of the gourd he had one his back, came a clone of himself. He smiled at Taku and then the clone quickly made hand signs. The clone then turned into a giant ball, and dashed towards Taku. The clone was using the Akimichi's infamous jutsu, Human bullet tank. While the clone raced towards Taku, Suaki had another secret up his sleeve, and soon began to make hand signs. After he was finished, he began to grow bigger. Sukai looked down and noticed the two other ninja were only about up to his ankle. Sukai made a fist, and brought it down towards Taku. He had hoped one of his attacks would hit, and if not it would at least buy some time for his sensei. "I will not let you hurt him!" He yelled out while his fist was going towards Taku. If this did not hit, Sukai could not do a lot more, unless he took the last pill. Hopefully, Ibuki would know what to do.

PostSubject: Re: Reunion - [PRIVATE] Reunion - [PRIVATE] EmptyTue 11 Jan 2011, 11:47 pm

Spoiler:

Before Taku's attack could make it to the intended target, He was takin back by a sudden large chakra signature appearing over his head. Rather, it wasnt very powerful, by large it was intended to mean that it was occupying a large substance. The shadow around him took the general shape of a closed fist. That coupled with the audible voice of a young man lead him to believe it was the suna nin he had noticed earlier but had not taken much notice of until now. The sudden and obvious increase in size based on what his oniryouken was telling him and the shadow coming down on him, led him to believe it was an Akimichi. No matter, This was simple enough to deal with, in Taku's eyes.

With plenty of warning thanks to the yell and being able to feel the chakra above him, as well as his speed, he was well prepared to deal with the situation at hand. Maneuvering his fingers around the hilt of the sword blade in his hand, he prepared for a technique that would get the nuisance out of his hair. This battle was between him and his son, and the intensity of it, the cause of it, was not something this person would be able to understand. In fact, as far as Taku was concerned, this battle had been quite tame, as up till now, this had been nothing more then throwing techniques back and forth. There was no killer intent on either side, not even from Ibuki, even if he thought he was. No one intended anyone to end up dead here. Either that or Ibuki truly was a substandard ninja if this was all he could put into trying to take his father life. He doubted that highly though based on the skills and diversity he had shown. This wasnt his best, but he didnt need to show his best, he just needed to prove himself, and he was doing a decent enough job of that so far.

A few moments before impact, Taku leaped to the side, the pale skin of the ninja slamming just next to him. Already he was in a fully standing position again, his sword not in its sheathe, but not drawn either, instead held against his side in the cloth bandage that had also held his explosive notes. He needed his hands free which were by now cackling with electricity. Just a moment after the hand had landed, the hands reached out to touch it. Unless the Akimichi showed a suprising amount of speed randomly, he was out of this battle as of now.

Lightning Release: Inner Sanctum

The lightning would flow from his hands and course through the boys entire body, overloading his nerves. His body would coil back up as all the muscles tensed and contracted, and then he would fall backwards, unconscious, and his expansion jutsu probably ended as he returned to normal size. This whole action from noticing the hand to the completion of the counter would take no more then two seconds, which would leave Taku just enough time to see Ibuki react and be ready for the next move he had to pull off.

PostSubject: Re: Reunion - [PRIVATE] Reunion - [PRIVATE] EmptyWed 12 Jan 2011, 3:05 am

Ibuki swore as the blast came towards him, pushing chakra to his right hand and holding it up right on the edge of the barrier. It was a risky move, as Ibuki could feel the Sookato chakra pulsing through the technique. From previous experimentation, Ibuki knew that their chakra didn’t do well with seals, and the sheer amount in this jutsu would be hard to contain, especially in Ibuki’s arm. While his own Sookato chakra was going to be combating Taku’s, the seal would only last a short time before it was destroyed, releasing in whatever direction Ibuki’s palm was pointing in and damaging his arm as well.

The remaining effectiveness of the Kinetic Reversal seal had reached its limit as well, meaning that this jutsu wouldn’t be reflected at all, except for maybe a tiny spark powerful enough to power a light for a few seconds. But it was still in the way, and any little bit helped. Wincing as the jutsu struck his palm and was absorbed, Ibuki gasped slightly as the Sookato chakra in the seal began working against Ibuki’s own. Holding up his left arm while still wincing as the rest of the jutsu was absorbed, Ibuki fired off the combined wind, fire, and glass blast at Taku while he was dealing with the Genin.

That in itself was a stupid move on the Genins part, but had managed to by him a couple seconds, long enough to release the seal on his palm and seal the jutsu. Which, speaking of the seal release, Ibuki dropped his slightly injured right hand and grabbed yet another grenade, popped the pin, and threw it in the air behind the fireball. By the time Taku would have countered or dodged the fireball, the grenade would be in the center and go off, affecting every directly equally. Maybe if he was lucky, Taku would be right in from of the grenade when it went off, but that chance was so improbable Ibuki didn’t even bother given that scenario any consideration.

Jumping back and applying chakra to the bottom of his feet, much like Taku did earlier, Ibuki jumped backwards onto the quickly cooling glass semi liquid substance and unrolled one of his sealing scrolls designed for this purpose. Having given it tearable edges to ensure that he would have an even rip along the edges, Ibuki formed two hand seals and applied chakra to the paper, forming a seal of chakra on that piece. Smiling slightly maniacally as the tag turned into four slightly larger than average Kunai, Ibuki threw them around the sanded area while jumping in the air again and landing on the very edge of the glass liquid and back onto sand. The distance between the two in the couple seconds that Taku had been increased largely, and thanfully Ibuki didn’t have to use his swords yet. The pulsing, throbbing pain in his arm would have distracted him from being able to use his swords correctly, and Ibuki used this time to reapply a small amount of chakra to the seal and fix it, giving him more time before it was destroyed.

Since that was taken care of, Ibuki placed his right hand on the hilt of the Katana on his left hip, and crouched into a stance, waiting for Taku to appear. It was highly unlikely that he would have been caught by all of those techniques at once.

Sukai winced in pain as soon as the lighting jutsu had hit him. It hurt his whole body and couldn't do anything to move, no matter what he tried. It felt like millions of needles had just stabbed him at the same time. It was surely one of the worst pains he had ever felt in his life. It did not help that he had taken the second pill right before this jutsu was used, so the pain just increased. He had misjudged his opponent, and he knew that he would learn from this. Even though he knew his enemy was strong, he could not image someone being this strong. Not even his own father could match Taku's strength. He had done the best he could, and he had hoped this would help out his sensei, if not just a little bit. If only he had hit the man, this battle might have been a sure win for Ibuki. At least that is what Sukai had thought, as he was falling towards the ground. His clone did not hit either, in fact didn't even get close. Sukai had misjudged the substance on the ground, not thinking it would do his clone any harm. Sukai hit the ground, still in his giant form, and a wave came out around him. He soon shrink to normal sizes, and his eye lids began to get heavy. He had no idea what was going on, and soon he couldn't even keep his eyes open. Is this death? I didn't want to die, but as long as my sensei's alright, I did my job. Too bad....I didn't want to die. Sukai could still hear the battle going on around him, though it seemed to be fading out, more and more with each passing second. He had hoped his sensei would win, and hopefully take him for some much needed help. Sukai did not know whether he was going to live or if he was going to die. He felt one last pain from his stomach, which was likely from the pill, and then his whole world went to black. Sukai passed out with a smile on his face.

PostSubject: Re: Reunion - [PRIVATE] Reunion - [PRIVATE] EmptyWed 12 Jan 2011, 9:07 pm

Taku was done playing around. Up till now he had only been doing one real strategy up to this point except his last attack. He had been simply manipulating all of Ibuki's attacks to work in his favor. Apparently the boy did not get this. He was not changing his own style at all midbattle, and maybe that was a concept that simply evaded his mental grasp. Either way, the continuous onslaught of combinations, while impressive and well thought out yes, were not befitting the situation to its fullest, nor was the timing anywhere near perfect. Simply put, he was not placing enough preassure on Taku, at all. Maybe if he had not been of Sookato blood his tactics would work. It was nothing more then the boys arrogance he was sure.

He got the read out on the method Ibuki used to counter the Trifecta, however, it seemed to be the same thing he had used to counter the large flaming ball of wind he himself had created earlier on. Apparently he had some sort of ability to absorb the attacks. However, coming into physical contact with such things, a ball of burning wind, a blast of the three most destructive things known to man, could not go unpunished and he was sure that at least some damage had been sustained. After he thought about it a bit more, he put the link together between what the boy was doing and the skill set Taku had pinged on him from the begging. Fuuinjtusu. He was not simply absorbing them, he was sealing them, which meant..........

As if right on cue, The other sealed up attack, the fireball, was released back at Taku for a second time. True he could have simply used the exact same method as he had before, but he was still set on showing this kid just how out matched he was in this situation. it wasnt even just that Taku along was so much stronger, though he was certainly much more experienced which showed in the charka levels they still retained. Ibuki was starting to dip well below the half way mark, Taku was still well above it. After this next display however, he was going to be at just about half way down the spectrum, but that didnt matter, not considering what he was about to unleash.

Closing his eyes and paying the oncoming attack any attention at all, Taku moved his left foot back and extended his right arm toward the ball, channeling a large portion of his chakra to the tattoo on his arm. The ink which formed a long black dragon shape all the way from the back of his hand to the ball of his shoulder. The amount of charka in that specific point rose sharply, passing the level of any technique that a man of his ranking should have been able to use.

This was no jutsu, it was an offering. And though the power he was putting forth now was fairly outstanding for one specific point of his body in a very short amount of time, it would pale in comparison to what came next.

Suddenly, black chakra formed in the shape of a large dragons head around his outstretched hand. A roar ripped through the air, drowning out all other noise. The mouth did not shut when the blast of relief was over, for thats all the roar was, signaling the coming of the dragon, but rather remained open as it barreled toward the fire ball coming at its master, catching it in its mouth, and literally crushing it between its jaws after a moments pause. The flame flattened and a wave of wind came out from between the jaws of the dragon caused by the destruction of the technique fired by Ibuki.

Taku saw a light go off through the head of the dragon, his eyes now open and alert, however, the distortion of light due the dragons barely transparent body made it anything but harmful. He knew it had been another flash bang, but heard almost nothing more then a firecracker pop due to the intense blast of wind, that while not effecting either fighter, would leave Ibuki's trap worthless. It was the first flash bang that had not had any effect on him up to this point in the battle.

The dragon had still been connected to his arm, being very long and not enough time or distance to reach full length yet. The dragon instantly turned and shot up into the air until it had fully left its masters arm. It proceeded to U turn in the air and come straight back down, almost hitting the ground before circling around taku and coiling around in a dome type fashion with several gaps between his body. This was nothing more then a display, not a strategy of offense or defense. He wanted Ibuki to see the true power of the head of their family. The dragons head sat at the top of the make shift dome, its whole body floating and not resting on the layer of its snake like body beneath it. It glared at Ibuki, letting a low but clearly audible growl escape its mouth. It knew he was a Sookato, and was not sure as to why Taku had called it in this case, no explanation being provided to it at this time.

From Ibuki's standpoint, due to the vast amount of chakra now surrounding him through the body of the dragon, it would seem like Taku's power had suddenly increased and flared off the charts to even greater then when the battle had begun. While this was not true and the chakra belonged to the dragon, the dragon was his to control, so it wasnt completely false either.

What do you think Ibuki, now you have been shown what true power is. Are you sure you want to push this any further and test it. I can tell you're nearing empty, so dont try to hide it. What more could you possibly have to say my son.

And now the dragon understood well enough what was going on here.

Ibuki groaned quietly as he saw the dragon appear, snatching his fireball with its mouth and chewing it to bits, as well as negating the grenade he threw as a surprise attack. This was NOT what he wanted to see and deal with at this point in time, not when he was extremely low on chakra and running out of battle options. This was a stupid idea in retrospect, he wasn’t designed, nor trained, to fight one on one battles, but massive scale fights. Sure he had his sword, but the stupid ones who got close enough to him usually got caught in his fuuinjutsu traps well beforehand, and Ibuki always had plenty of warning on where they were and from which way they were coming, giving him ample preparation time. This though… Taku was forcing Ibuki into the position he was normally going against.

That was utterly annoying, but humbling at the same time. The smart thing for Ibuki to do would have been to surrender right now and just get it over with. He was running low on chakra as it was, barely having enough to pull through above a Genins capacity. Hell, he probably had as much chakra AS a normal Genin, making him chuckle and shake his head in slight sadness. Despite his chakra supply he was this low, which wasn’t surprising given the high level jutsu combinations he had been throwing around. A voice in the back of Ibuki’s head whispered to him, causing a slight amount of pride, but annoyance at the same time.

If it was anyone else… they’d be dead…

But it wasn’t anyone else, it was Taku. Reflecting, Ibuki sighed and shook his head. The battle field, both their abilities, the experience, it all added up in Taku’s favor. But, that didn’t mean Ibuki wasn’t going down without a finale. Applying his own chakra to the seal again to keep it from blowing up, Ibuki exhaled slowly and closed his eyes for a split second, calming down and breathing in sync with his heartbeat. It wasn’t a jutsu or any mystical fuuin technique he was using, but one that he had seen multiple times before all across the village. By focusing his heartbeat, his breathing, everything, into one pattern, he could sync his body together and control it more effectively. There was no speed boost, no chakra increase or chakra usage to cause this to happen, it just did. The power of the mind was scary sometimes, especially when in the hands of a very destructive force such as Ibuki and Taku.

Opening his eyes, Ibuki rushed towards Taku, sliding over the cooled glass with ease and focused. One mistake, one second too early or too late, and he was as good as being dead. But the focusing helped, which would allow him to move and dodge attacks by hairs instead of wide berths. All he needed to was reach close to Taku though, the rest would wait.

And then came the dragon. A fearsome beast indeed, it snarled at Ibuki, obviously recognizing he was a Sookato. Whether or not it understood the purpose of this fight, Ibuki didn’t know, but regardless it would attack him head on. Pity the beast wouldn’t have a chance though. While Ibuki could tell the beast was made of Sookato chakra, he wasn’t sure of how the summon worked exactly, hence the prior coating of his finger tips. As Ibuki neared the beast, wind natured chakra sprouted on the tops of his fingers, and then Ibuki did something retarded.

He dove straight at the base of the dragon.

Most would consider this a suicidal move. Hell, anyone who dove at the form of a dragon summon who was essentially made of, in Ibuki’s history, destructive chakra in the shinobi world had a death wish, was just retarded, or had a plan. In all honesty, Ibuki had and was none of the above. Why he dove at the dragon would stupefy some, but to those that knew Ibuki, they wouldn’t have been surprised.

What was the most effective way to land an attack on a giant chakra mass of a beast? Why, offer yourself right to it of course. And while Ibuki flew through the air, skimming, he brought his chakra coated hand up in front of him, waiting for the second upon his he could touch the dragon. Given his trajectory, and the size of the dragon, it would have a one out of one hundred chance of dodging Ibuki, especially with the apparent weight it seemed to have. It was highly unlikely that it could instantaneously lift off. Then again, Ibuki was so focused that the beast could be moving right towards him.

The second Ibuki figured he had reached past the half way point, close enough to use this jutsu, he stuck the chakra coated hand into the glass, effectively flinging and almost wrenching his arm out of the socket. But the insertion into the glass did its work, a seal forming on the ground and pulling the summon towards it. The seal would cause the beast to desummon, and as Ibuki felt his chakra drop lower, he smiled weakly as he rolled to a stop near near the sand. Wobbling and standing up facing Taku, Ibuki lifted his hand and released the seal on his right plam, blasting the Trifecta right back at Taku, laughing quietly all the while.

“The name’s Ibuki tou-san. Best remember that much.”

With that Ibuki put his hand on his katana hilt, wobbling slightly as he did so. He had enough chakra for maybe another jutsu, but that was about it.

He eyeballed his son here, now, not bothering to use his oniryouken at all. Just taking in the sight of him in battle, admiring him for his power and how far he had come at only the age of nineteen. Taku was a healthy 35 years in the making, so this battle had been an unfair one from the beginning. That did not matter. Ibuki had gotten out his frustrations, that was the only thing that mattered. However, his arrogance needed to find its place, and before this was over, that lesson would be taught. Whether it would be learned, that was up to the kid.

And so it was. He had expected Ibuki to give up here and now after his revealing of the dragon. He knew that Ibuki had found the stash of information he had left behind when he had ventured on his journey. Otherwise he would not have known such things as the supernova technique. Though to be honest, he was disappointed how little he had used the Sookato techniques. However, he had shown mastery today, in some areas. His training needed to be furthered, as Taku's had, under the guidance of a Sookato. He himself had learned from the best. That needed to be passed on. He also needed to learn to use his head some more though, he had proven to be bright, and now he was just charging in. Taku prepared mentally as the boy came forward with no sense of trickery or ninja traps this time.

As he neared even further, the grip on his sword tightened greatly, preparing for its use. However, he was a little taken back when Ibuki came to a sudden halt, and began forming something on the ground. The effect was instantaneous.

Taku, its pulling me in, help me, I cant seem to fight it.

No matter old friend, you did what I have needed, rest now.

He waved his hand outward, and the beast was simply gone in the blink of an eye, the tattoo once more dark and fresh on his opposite arm. And with the disturbance of the dragon gone, his oniryouken was completely uninhibited, and he felt the build up of chakra in Ibukis arm as he looked at him, similar to when the ball of wind and flame had returned, which had been sealed up the same way his Trifecta had been. Luckily Ibuki had shown this maneuver earlier, because from this range, dodging that attack would have been otherwise impossible. However, being fully prepared before it exited the palm, he simply slid his body to be slim as possible from Ibukis point of view, their shoulder lines now perpendicular with each other. As he did this his arm moved up in an arc becoming completely horizontal with the tip of the black blade in his hand toward Ibuki's chest below his heart.

Shoot to kill, Setsuju

The sword in his hand changed yet again to the scimitar shaped one he had before with not so much as a shimmer or poof of smoke of any kind, it just happened. As it appeared in his hand, it shot straight out toward his son with high velocity, threatening to impale his weakened body, ending this charade of a battle. He was using the full technique, meaning it would extend a full twenty meters. The blade shot out right as the trifecta wizzed past his now flat body. He hoped the boy would take the hit and this would be over, he did not wish to fight anymore, but he would not give the boy the satisfaction of any arrogance.

Spoiler:

The metal sunk deep into the flesh of the young man, sliding non-fatally through his innards, between the stomach and liver and kidneys and intestines grouping area. It barely chipped off bits of any of these organs, minimal damage to be had, but a finishing move all the same. It would spill much blood. That coupled with the large amount of chakra he had used, Ibuki would fall, and so he did now. He had already been resting on the hilt of his own katana, catching his breath. The katana fell from his hands and his weight was only kept up right by the blade in his torso. The jutsu over, Taku forced it to retract, and sushin'd to his son, catching him before he fell over in a flurry trail of sand in his wake. He was passing out fast, and Taku threw him up over his shoulder in the traditional styles, pulling him along at his side with the arm draped over his neck and back.

He looked deep into the eyes of the boy before they slid closed, his touch keeping gentle to keep his discomfort to a minimum. In that soaring moment, Taku felt more love for this, in his eyes, child then he had for any other worldly possession or person. It was a protective love and he knew then, this was the last time Ibuki would be harmed in his presence. The dominance had been established, and though Ibuki had ever reason to still be angry, he would in time come to understand that Taku had never wished things to go this way. Still. He had to make up for lost time. The kid had much to learn despite being highly experienced for his age, already a full fledged and able Jounin capable of keeping even footing with the best of them. However, he could hone into perfection still, and that was something Taku could and would teach him.

Mid way through their trek, he paused at the genin who had attacked him so foolishly and quickly met an unavoidable fate. The effort had been valiant, but foolish. Mostly for shouting out his attack so boldly, and attacking an enemy so forwardly when he did not know the full extent of his powers. Honorable all the same for his efforts to protect someone. For this, he would do him the favor of brining him with him. He grabbed the boy and held him by the waist, folded over his forearm and they continued on. He was not an overly strong individual, but he had strength enough for this. Sadly, Ibuki had not even begun to test Taku's limits, the whole battle before was nothing more then showboating in his book. It had not been a true nor serious fight. Not for the majority anyway.

He would have to enter in a secret manner to avoid the guards and get to the hospital in a timely fashion. The boy was not going to awake any time soon but Ibuki would recover quickly as his was merely fatigue and he had actually caused damage to the youngster. He wondered how Suna would greet him, and that at least, he could get the boys treatment before any vendetta was executed. He was not looking forward to facing Howl, one of the few entities he hesitated in the presence of.

God be with us
