Hanshou Clan (Complete)

Note: I am still a little unclear about exactly how chakra works on this site so when I say something will take 1 C rank chakra for example I mean that it takes about the same amount of chakra as 1 C rank jutsu.

Clan Name: Hanshou Clan

Clan Location: Suna

Clan Traits:

Natural affinity with the wind element
Totally loyal to the Kazekage
Kaze Nagare - The ability to manipulate air currents around their bodies.

Basic

The weakest form of this Kekkei Genkai. The clan member has the ability to alter the wind currents around any weapon that holds an edge. By doing this the weapon used by the clan member moves through the air more easily allowing the user to expend less energy to swing the weapon and still have it move faster then normal, thus making it harder to dodge or block. this will not work on thown weapons and requires 1 D rank chankra every 2 posts to maintain. (Constant effect until it is shut off)

Moderate

Allows the clan member to alter the air currents around their own bodies and move slightly faster while running. This ability also allows the user to block lighter projectile weapons with lower vilocity such as senbon or shuriken. This will not work on heavier or faster moving projectiles such as kunai or arrows. (Cuts travel time down by 20% . Requires 1 C rank chakra for each use if used in bursts. To maintain over long periods it will require the use of 1 addition C rank chakra every 3 hours [exe: when traveling with this active for 9 hours it will require a total of 10 C rank chakra.)

Advanced

Allows the clan member to cast bursts of strong gusts of air from the palms of their hands. By doing this thay are able to increase the speed of throw weapons by pushing them with the wind gust they release. This is also usefull for chaging direction in mid-air or whatever other use the clan member can think of. (Requires 2 C rank Chankra for each use)

Highly Advanced

Allows the clan member to manipulate air currents up to 20 ft away from their own bodies. This allows them to create gusts of wind in any dirrection without the gust needing to originate from the users body. This is done by sending a tendril of chakra to the point the clan member wants the gust to originate from first and then using that chakra to channel their Kekkei Genkai. If the clan member is hit with an attack or for any reason drops the chakra tendril they lose 1 B rank chakra. (Requires 1 A rank chakra totall for each use)

Master

At this level the clan member has totally mastered their Kekkei Genkai and can more precisely alter the wind currents near their own bodies. By causeing a gust of wind from their palms and mving their hand swiftly forward they can create a grouping of 15 senbon like needles made of wind to attack their opponent. These are difficult to see making it hard to dodge or block them and they can pierce through softer woods with ease. Simiplarly if the clan member sweeps their hand out in front of them the wind gust becomes blade like and races towards the users opponent. This is seen more easily then the senbon but can not be blocked except with other wind jutsu or hardened steel. (Requires 1 S ranked chakra for each use.)

Description: A jutsu that is similar to the manner shinobi walk on water and trees, but far more dramatic in the manner it functions. The user will gather a large quantity of chakra beneath their foot as they raise it. Upon gathering sufficient energy, the user will stomp downward, compressing the air that they've gather until, like a spring, it explodes, flinging the ninja forward. This is useful for charging the enemy, quickly crossing the battlefield, and dodging attacks however the user can not change direction until they come in contact with another surface, leaving them open to counter attack.

Description: A basic wind technique that it utilized with a weapon, typically a blade. The user will apply their chakra to weapon, surrounding with a layer of their chakra. They will then begin to "Sharpen" the chakra, utilizing their wind affinity to create a tearing effect with whatever contacts the chakra. This will improve the cutting ability of the weapon, making attacks more deadly. When used in comination with the basic level of their Kekkei Genkai this jutsu is even more effective.

Type: Ninjutsu

Element: Wind
Description: This technique is similar to Kazeken in the manner it used, the Shinobi transferring their chakra into a weapon. In this case the user will, rather then improving power, will increase the speed of thrown projectiles. When thrown, the transferred chakra will release it itself from the end of the weapon in the form of a gale, boosting the speed of the weapon's flight. This makes it harder for enemies to react to the weapon, and is useful for hitting quick targets.When used in combination with the Advanced level of their Kekkei Genkai this jutsu makes thrown weapons much harder to dodge or block.

History:

The Hanshou clan was originally a tribe of nomads that lived in the desert area near Suna. They were a peaceful group of people and only used their abilities to help stave of the elements while they traveled but the First Kazekage realized that their powers could be refined for combat. At first the Hanshou clan did not like the idea but increasingly hash weather eventually forced them to join Suna.

When the Hanshou clan joined Suna they had a difficult time adjusting to city life. Their people stayed to themselves for the most part and were given special ninja training to develop their chakra. When it was determined that they were ready the younger members of the clan were allowed to enter Suna's ninja academy.

In the academy it became clear that the members of the Hanshou clan excelled in the use of weaponry and ninjutsu but lacked the ability to use genjutsu very well and for the most part they were very good at hiding their presence and remaining undetected. For this they were singled out as candidates for spies and assassins and over time even their baser personalities began to change and they became totally loyal, following any order they were given.

Once again. Merely stating it in a vague sentence tells me nothing. Why and how is this possible?

- Do not use "hours" on an RPG. Use either posts or percentage of time. Smile

- I really do not see how this is a Kekkei Genkai ability. How would this qualify as a bloodline? I would think any shinobi would dedicates themselves to the Fuuton Element would be able to achieve all of this via jutsu.

The Hanshou clan abilities are just that, clan abilities. Because of this they are able to use the abilities listed without the need for hand seals. I guess that is the only difference between them and jutsu.

Handseals or not how would this qualify as something passed down genetically through the clan? perhaps it could be listed as a trait of the clan like that of inuzuka or yamanaka.

I had not thought of that. I edited to make it a clan trait rather then a Kekkei Genkai.

Sure this could potentially work as another Inuzuka or Yamanaka style clan. But, I really do not see the point. Everything you have listed in regards to an ability can be achieved via simple fuuton technique's. *shrugs*

What if I turned them into Jutsu that only this clan could use. Then I could change some things around and say that they train specifically to keep their presence hidden from enemies and they could be like a clan of spies. Would that be acceptable?

If there is no need to create a clan then I do not see the point in so. Yes, these can all be made into jutsu so I would recommend you to do that. We have an abundance of clan's already on this site, another one, especially one like this would be unnecessary.

In truth I wanted to make this clan for some reason that I can't even remember now. So I will make these into jutsu and add them to my character. Maybe I'll check out the open clan list again and see if I like any of them. Thanks and sorry about wasting your time with all this. I know you must be busy.
