| The burden that the heavy rain brought to Kirigakure was becoming more consistent, the weather once again entering a terrible phase after the completion of the Chuunin Examinations. Arashii had praised the gods efforts for blessing the prestigious event which such glorious weather, but he wished it would continue following up after the Chuunin Exams and allow his travel to be easier and swifter. The Mizukage was heading to Moon Country to privately and personally complete an important task that he had to make sure was successful, hence why he was personally undergoing this mission. Although it was known that the Mizukage was traveling on this particular day to some of the higher level shinobi in Kirigakure, what his actual task was would only be known by him and his two associates. Of course this mission being so important to Arashii, he firstly found it most fitting that Ahora would join him, but they too would be accompanied by a fellow Jounin, another Fuuinjutsu specialist like Ahora whose name was Juushi, Reido. Reido had been on a few missions as the Mizukage’s escort which allowed Arashii to have some sort of trust in his fellow male comrade. Reido stood much taller than Arashii, who was no short shinobi and had a slim figure which would appear to be quite fragile, and in retrospect, pretty much was. However his abilities could not be underestimated. Reido wore the traditional slate grey Kirigakure Flak Jacket however had reasonably long sleeves that were a part of the shirt he wore underneath the tactical vest which hid his hands completely. They too were a slate grey shade, Reido seeming to stick to the one colour, he wore his forehead proctor as a chest piece, which was implanted into his flak jacket on the left pectoral. His distinct white hair complemented his aqua shaded eyes but the man didn’t exactly have the prettiest face. Possessing a claw like mark across the majority of his face it started over the his left eye with a total of three scars and proceeded diagonally down, now going over the left eye but swallowing the right eye in what he could only call an unforgettable memory. His right eye was in a half closed like status from that moment on.
Reido was the first to meet with the Mizukage at the rally point which was just outside the village gate and the two were shortly accompanied by Ahora, the Mizukage grew to adapt to her consistent tardiness and learnt to accept it from her, there wasn’t much he could do about it anyway. Without wasting any time the three burst off towards the shoreline, obviously heading south of the village toward the countries shore where they could continue on to Moon Country, the trip to the rich sandy outskirts was long in certain aspects, but felt quick to Arashii as they moved at a remarkable speed, Arashii not liking to waste any time during his missions, moved swiftly ahead of his comrades who followed very closed behind.
Reaching the boat that would escort them to Moon, the Mizukage and his escorts grew suspicious of the lack of noise, this was actually a small fishing town right on the shoreline, the Mizukage scratched his head as he looked at the buildings as Seigo jumped aboard the ship to search for the crew who were nowhere to be seen, even though they knew the Mizukage himself was coming. So quiet, Arashii wasn’t concerned but somewhat troubled at the complete stillness of the town, as if it was a ghost town that had nobody occupy it for months; Arashii knew this wasn’t the case. Seigo had inspected the ship and leapt back down to the ground beside his comrades. “Did you find anything?” the Mizukage asked sturdily. “Negative, sir.” Seigo reported with angst. “This doesn’t make sense, I made sure myself that the fucking ship would be here, Ahora any idea?” Arashii asked his associate, but before he could receive an answer from the kunoichi, Seigo interrupted once more. “Fifth, look out!” he yelled as he shoved the Mizukage to the side, the Mizukage gracefully landing on his feet to the side as Seigo grabbed his sleeve, yanking it up revealing his right arm, completely covering in seals; firmly pressing to fingers on his outer wrist and forearm a large shield emerged from the smoke created from the seal which appeared to be attached to the shinobi’s arm, raising it up as a loud and sudden thudding sound could be heard, knocking Seigo onto his bottom he looked at his shield, now staring straight at the head of an arrow which had penetrated the shinobi’s defence coming to a halt just in time, another inch or two and it would have surely killed him. ‘An ambush, what the fuck is this?” Arashii questioned in his mind as he looked around, he saw figures from most of the buildings, but that shot was longer, it came from the distant forest, there was no way somebody could shoot an arrow so far and so accurately, and still have the ability to pierce Seigo’s shield, how was this possible? Arashii turned his attention to the sea, seeing a boat out in the distance, it seemed they were completely surrounded, three arrows flew toward the Mizukage from the ocean as Seigo got back to his feet, removing the arrow from his shield, the Jounin had let his guard down and was open for attack but it wasn’t he they had attacked, it was Arashii, little did the Mizukage know, that nor Ahora or Seigo was currently covering his six, which had another five arrows shooting at the young Kage’s back, Arashii was too concerned with the front, which were shot before the ones behind him, he moved his head slightly to the right instantly as the first arrow passed, almost instantly without breaking a sweat doing the same the opponent direction as the second arrow was aiming for his body, using the dexterity of a ninja to shift his direction to avoid the second but left him vulnerable for the third, or so it would appear. The Mizukage was no chump, he moved his right hand up in a blur, grabbing the right arrow’s body in a swift movement holding it a few inches in front of his forehead which was its target, he threw the arrow to the ground with a devious smirk, appearing to be unaware to the five arrows that were targeting his rear.

| Something felt different about today. A lot more different then her usual day which usually consisted of her waking up at 8AM with her alarm, making breakfast, having her coffee, going on a patrol then meeting up with the Mizukage. It could be due to the fact she overslept her alarm and it was 11AM and she needed to meet up with the Mizukage for a private mission by midday. This ultimately meant she couldn't go on patrol or enjoy a delicious breakfast. She hated being a woman for the reason it'd take her half an hour just to get prepared for the whole day meaning she'd have little time to eat and would most likely be late for the proposed meeting time for the mission. Whilst this was bad in itself, it wasn't disastrous as Arashii was used to Ahora's lack of promptness. So realistically, being 5 minutes later wouldn't hurt. She showered, made some toast, sat on her balcony and enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee before dressing herself and going to the Village Gates.
Sure enough, she was 5minutes late when she arrived in the vicinity of Lord Arashii and a very fond acquaintance of Ahora's; Reido Juushi. The two got on quite well together, mainly due to the fact they were both fuuinjutsu specialists and had taught each other techniques over the many years they knew each other. But Ahora didn't particularly find him as appealing as many other ninja, mainly due to the reason he looked like a malnourished poltergeist and he acted as mysteriously as any other yet kept his ninja formalities higher then any other. It was obvious Reido would serve Arashii until his final breath, but then again it was obvious at how envious he was of the close-knit relationship that Ahora and Arashii shared. But it was evident to every shinobi in the Hidden Mist Village of how close the two were. Surely enough, Arashii chose not to acknowledge her presence completely and set off with Ahora and Reido for company.
The plan was to travel to The Shoreline where the three would pass into a small coastal town and proceed on their planned mission to the Moon Country. A fairly simple arrangement if you asked any jounin or higher ranked ninja. Sure enough, the trio arrived in the humble coastal town in no time and had located their means of travel, a boat; with another one several hundred meters away. However, upon arrival to their location Ahora felt a massive sense of unease which was later approved with the fact both the town and the ship were deserted completely. Reido informed Arashii and Ahora of this after a quick inspection. “This doesn’t make sense, I made sure myself that the fucking ship would be here, Ahora any idea?” Ahora stared at her Kage in some form of disbelief before proceeding to open her mouth in reply. However, her response was firmly interrupted with Reido yelling at Arashii and shoving him to the side. It wasn't until she heard the thud of objects smacking into Reido's seal-created shield. Ahora was roughly at 4o'clock from Arashii's position and it wasn't until Reido broke off and dislodged the arrows that she understood of the impending danger.
Her skill and wit took control of her, immediately focusing her attention on any possibilities for more attacks. Ahora whipped her head around after hearing the faintest of twangs from a distant bowstring. However, the speed that it took Ahora to react was nothing compared to the speed of the arrows. Consequently she was only fast enough to get herself into a position between the arrows and Arashii and to begin several hand-seals. Whilst she was renown to produce the fastest hand seals, her speed just wasn't fast enough and her misjudgment would be her downfall. 3 hit her square in the torso, centimeters below her lungs and chest, one hit her in her left collarbone and the other fell short of its target, thankfully. The pain was excruciating, the blood began to seep from her open wounds yet she didn't release a sigh, nor a word from her mouth. She heard an arrow get thrown down behind her position which resulted in Ahora glancing back, identifying that her Kage was safe. She couldn't say the same for herself, but she knew for a fact she wasn't going to go down so easily. She snapped off the 4 arrow shafts from their heads before discarding them on the ground.
Blood pumping thick in her veins and adrenaline rushing faster then light, Ahora brought her left fingers up to her right wrist and activated one of her many seals, enabling her to maintain an extremely high speed. Surely enough, once she had activated the seal she exploded off at an extremely high speed towards the location that the arrows were fired. She covered the distance between her and the apparent 3 archers in no time, locating the three on top of a double-story building. She ran up to the building, unsheathed her Glider Staff, performed 3 hand-seals, grabbed onto the shaft of the Staff and angling it slightly higher then the horizon, used her technique to propel herself and erupted high towards the building. She had picked an angle that the archers wouldn't be able to spot her so easily as she glided towards the lip of the building.
She broke the eye-line of the three archers whilst they were in the middle of reloading their bows for a second shot. She collided with full force into the middle of the three archers, kicking him square in the chest and sending him rocketing off the edge of the building, hitting the next building with a resounding crack of the neck. The collision between the two meant Ahora had stopped in her tracks perfectly between the other two archers. She then tapped the small seals and two hidden blades emerged from the ends, which using a sort of pendulum motion, swung both ends into the necks of the two other archers, slicing their throats and making them slump to the ground, blood gushing from their necks. She took a sigh of relief, glancing down at her blood-soaked clothing acknowledging the exact severity of her wounds. She was scared and she feared death, but nothing in her mind told her to show these two emotions - especially to her superior. She touched her clothing and converted the red-blood color of it back to its creamy color, so as not to alert Arashii.
She looked out towards the horizon where she noted that Arashii had taken out a squad of archers by himself, Reido taking out another leaving one set remaining and Ahora with Ahora being the closest. These were the ones on the boat. Ahora reacted swiftly, pivoting on her heel, forming several handseals, inflating her lungs and exhaling an explosive 6ft in diameter wind bullet towards the boat. Subsequently, the bullet smashed into the hull of the boat sending the crew of archers rocketing off the edge of the boat and slamming into the debris-ridden water. Ahora looked around, noticing that her two acquaintances had taken out their squads and had regrouped where they had been originally ambushed. Ahora knew her time was limited and knew that her only wish was to be in the vicinity of her fondest Kage and friend. As a result, Ahora shunshin-ed to their location.
Ahora stared at the bare-chested Arashii, offering a very generous and sweet smile towards her Kage. The smile was genuine and it showed a ton of affection and appreciation. She opened her mouth, “It was a pleasure serving you. I know you will go on to become the greatest Kage the world has ever known.” She walked forward towards Arashii and placed her hand upon his muscular chest, his right pec to be precise. Using just her finger, she traced the Kanji for love upon that Pec, tattooing it permanently into his chest. A gift from her, to her beloved Kage. She collapsed onto two knees, her body shuddered horrifically and blood started seeping from her mouth, rolling over her chin and falling around her to the ground. Two tears rolled down her cheek, one from each eye. The pain had hit her, she could no longer control her chakra and as a result, her clothing turned to its proper state, completely covered in blood and with four holes and wounds from where the arrows had penetrated. She had probably under a minute of life left and she could tell Arashii was in the position to react. The ball was in his court, before she was officially out.

| The sudden shift of Ahora certainly drew Arashii’s attention but he hadn’t turned around as of yet as the kunoichi kicked up a sandy cloud beside as Arashii kept his focus on the small fishing ship that was out in the open water, which was host to the archers Arashii had just, although the Mizukage dodged them effortlessly, little did he know that it they were practically a diversion for a secondary attack at the Mizukage rear, which Ahora ‘handled’. Turning his head to his left, he looked over his shoulder to see his kunoichi companion doing the same, only seeing her face he was unable to examine the wounds she had just recently received since he was still unaware of their presence as he remained standing almost back to be with Ahora before being attacked once again from his right, forcing him to move from his current position this time jumping to the left, losing eye contact with Ahora as he had to deal with the attackers this time, the foolish archery group that had engaged the Mizukage and his escorts in combat. Reido now regaining his focus grabbed crossed his arms upwards, touching the opposing shoulders forming an ‘X’ shape with his arms he clenched the top of his long sleeves before proceeding to rip them off revealing his intimidating looking arms that possessed more seals than imaginable, his whole body was his weapon, in the way that it was like this that he would use Fuuinjutsu offensively. Arashii stood by Reido’s side now as a large band of archers and swordsmen leapt the nearby greenery, shooting more barrages of arrows at the two Kirigakure ninja as the swordsmen ran in for close combat attacks. The two shinobi jumped to one side each, Arashii to the right and Reido to the left as the horde of arrows landed in between them. Arashii drawing out his wrist blades as the majority of the swordsmen charged at the Mizukage. Arashii shot his Wrist Blades at two of the swordsmen who appeared to be at the front of the incoming attack as they both the blades struck the opponents chests eliminating them from the picture as another dozen of shinobi approached, Arashii quickly grabbing eight senbon and holding them in between each webbing of his finger he emitted Raiton chakra into the thin needle-like projectiles before hurling them swiftly in one swipe of his hand at eight of the dozen swordsmen that charged at him hitting them all accurately the senbon pierced through their poorly created armour and proceeded to pass through the bodies dropping them to the ground to bleed out and die as Arashii moved out of the way from a few more arrows as those bothersome archers continued to be on the offensive. A final two swordsmen charged at the Mizukage as he quickly withdrew the spare Wrist Blades, throwing them up in the air at a decent height as the swordsmen drew closer, almost in striking distance the blades dropped back down as Arashii timed it perfectly, letting them slide into the wrist blades compartment as he managed to counter the strikes of the two swords, his wrist blades meeting their average weaponry as he swirled his arm around behind them as their momentum was used against them, passing the Mizukage who sliced both the men’s Achilles tendons before withdrawing his wrist blades, in a crouching position, two more arrows were fired at the Mizukage who would jump up and flip backwards, his hands hitting the sand first as he propelled himself for a second spin landing in a crouching position again in front of the two men he had just sliced and diced he drew out his wrist blades out more slitting the throats of the two failures, ending their pathetic lives so they could join their other recently departed comrades whom the Mizukage had also effortlessly slaughtered.
Meanwhile, during the Mizukage’s maneuverers, Reido had fought off some swordsmen himself, as they drew closer to him he had performed three hand seals and slid his left arm up against his right arm which activated numerous seals which released an overwhelming shower of kunai at the incoming opponents, three falling victim to the projectiles, another having his legs pierced and the last two luckily having the throwing knives bounce off their armour plates. Reido was no push over though, as his two foes approached he ducked the first swipe as the momentum was used against the swordsmen, allowing Reido to focus on one for the moment, ducking left and right to the second swordsmen gracefully as the first one moving back for another strike, appearing to catch Reido off guard, until the Kirigakure Jounin moved to the side at the last moment causing the first swordsmen to cut down the second, Reido quickly grasping the sword of the fallen man and using it against his comrade who had mistakenly took his life, striking it fiercely into the shinobi vulnerable shoulder blade toward his neck until it reached the top of the armour plate, then proceeding to use his foot to kick the man to the ground releasing the sword that was still engulfed in the man’s flesh, the final man with kunai in his legs had removed them and quickly waddled to Reido’s position, the Jounin not breaking a sweat as he used his forearm to knock the sword from the man’s hand, twirling around him and proceeding to snap his neck.
The Kirigakure shinobi were working so quickly, Reido and Arashii were now focused on the archers would were up the sloped shoreline as they ran up it, arrows shooting at them as the archers panicked, they were quite a distance, which gave them time to shoot three arrows each, with a number of ten that was quite a lot of arrows to be careful of. Reido managing to pull off a few more hand seals as they charged at the archers, managing to activate a chain seal which shot out at the archers as they drew closer, roping one of them in it, the chain was made from shuriken thus being sharp, Reido would come to a sudden stop and yank the chain, pulling the archer down the hill in a shriek of pain and the shuriken chain pierced his flesh, causing him to leave a bloody sand trail until he was dragged to Reido’s spot, the Jounin placed his foot on the archers chest and yanking the chain as it pulled the whole way through him, practically cutting him in half. Arashii now a head of his comrade managed to reach the top, gracefully ducking close range arrow shots and melee strikes with the bows, he easily cut his way through eight of them, leaving just one more who appeared to have an arrow with the Mizukage’s name on it since he couldn’t reach the last guy in time until he was successfully and surprisingly wrapped up by Reido’s chain and dragged through the same process as his associate beforehand. Arashii still at the top of the hill looked down to Reido who gave the Mizukage a thumbs up until the Mizukage saw an arrow be shot right at the Jounin. “Reido!” Arashii screamed at the top of his lungs as the Jounin began to turn, the arrow piercing straight through his left shoulder from the back, as he fell to his knees. Arashii began sprinting down the hill as he saw a second arrow being shot to finish the job, in almost a split of a second, Arashii tackled the Jounin down the hill, the Mizukage feeling the arrow brush the top of his own hair as he rolled down to the flat bottom with Reido, looking at his wound, it wasn’t fatal. Reido acknowledged to the Mizukage that he was fine as he stood up, thanking the Mizukage for his act of selflessness which stopped Reido from an immediate death before snapping the arrow off. The two were weary of the ship as they were prepared to take it out, before seeing a ball off wind crashing into the boat destroying it. Arashii moved towards the boat they had planned to get on, looking over at the destroyed fishing boat that was far beyond it, turning around waiting for Ahora to return from taking out the archers in the building as a kunai with an explosive tag was thrown beside the Mizukage, catching him off guard he managed to jump away from the blast, which caught him just good enough to ignite his clothing on fire, and blast him into the sand. He was defeated just for a minute as he grasped the sand in his palms lifting his head up he saw blood in the sand, he hadn’t thought he gotten that badly wounded, as sound came back to him and his visual became clearer he heard Reido constantly calling him to make sure he was alive [color=red]“Mizukage-sama! Mizukage-sama!”[/b] he would call as he ran to the fifth’s side, helping him up Arashii saw the broken arrows just beyond the blood as he was helped back to his feet. “Ahora…” the Mizukage said softly, wondering what had happened. He turned to Reido as he shook off the blast. “Get the fuck that just attacked me, we'll interrogate him back home.” as Reido quickly obeyed the instruction and went to knock the injured swordsmen unconscious before slumping him over his shoulder.
Ahora finally brought herself back to her Mizukage, she smiled, but something seemed wrong, the smile in fact; was like one Arashii had never seen before. Opening her mouth which gently began to dribble blood down her chin “It was a pleasure serving you. I know you will go on to become the greatest Kage the world has ever known.” she said, as her words sunk into Arashii’s mind, body and soul. Why was she saying this though, she placed her hand on his chest which was bare now do to the explosion burning the front of his attire off, leaving him practically bare chested. Arashii stood wide eyed looking down at Ahora who’s eyes appeared to be getting heavy, her face displaying an emotion of pain as blood continued to run from her mouth, he looked at the completed kanji symbol as it read love, still not completely comprehending the situation, it became clear as the kunoichi fell to her knees Arashii quickly and instinctively followed her in a crouching position, placing his hands on his biceps to ensure she didn’t fall any more, her body was shaking as the blood from her mouth began to drip to the sand below, as she began to seemingly lose control of her body Arashii moved with her as she leaned back, stopping her from completely falling he held her in his arms, quickly ripping her clothes open which were completely covered in blood, her bare chest only sporting a bra and a ripped open t-shirt was examined by the Mizukage who could clearly tell that she had been mortally wounded by four arrows, it must have been when she was back to back with Arashii, did she really take the hit for him?
Tears rolled from the kunoichi’s face as they neared a closed state, Arashii’s eyes began to swell up as he place his left hand on her chest over the top of her breast where her heart resided, his right hand remaining as the stabilizer for her as she finally displayed emotion, Arashii’s briefs got heavy, almost whimpering at this scenario as Reido had approached them once more, realizing the situation he remained back from the clear emotional moment that Ahora and Arashii were going through. The Mizukage attempted to stop it as much as he could, but it was inevitable, tears began rolling from his eyes too, proceeding down his face he moved his forehead until it was up against Ahora’s closing his eyes as he embraced her. He was her Naka, it couldn’t end like this; it couldn’t. But Arashii knew there was nothing that could be done, maybe if there was a medical ninja present, but there wasn’t; Arashii had already began to blame himself, everybody important to him had been taken, or had betrayed him; over the recent years though Ahora was the one and only person who kept Arashii intact, without Ahora; Arashii wouldn’t have become the Kage he was today, and although to outsiders, that would have been a good thing, Arashii appreciated everything she had ever done for him, which was a lot. The only problem was the emotion he had failed to display most of the time, due to his history he found it was best to hide it in order to protect Ahora, but that didn’t seem to work out well either.
“Ahora… Don’t leave me…” he pleaded her, knowing there wasn’t much she could do, at a time like this, words were just instinctive, straight from the heart, without thinking. It was times like this where true emotion was displayed, real feelings were expressed and the truth was revealed. “Stay with me, please.” his voice shuddered with every word, it could almost be considered pathetic knowing the kind of man Arashii was, to have him act in such a way. “I love you.” he said uncontrollably not even considering how the kunoichi would the words, he moved his forehead off her forehead for a moment as he opened his eyes briefly, kissing the kunoichi’s forehead before moving his head back there and closed his eyes once more. “I won’t let you leave me.” Arashii said as he embraced her tightened than ever before, making sure he didn’t push the limits to hurt her even more, he would if he held her tight enough without hurting her, he might slow the bleeding just a little bit which would give them more time. Beginning to think back on all the memories he had with Ahora, he wasn’t ready to just leave that all behind. Thinking of how the mission started, a lack of communication, official business; he hadn’t even contemplated an event such as this, it was unthinkable in his view. But now the unthinkable had become reality, he didn’t know how to react to it.

Name: Chakushu Risutoken - Launching Wrist Blades Rank: C Type: Weaponry Element: N/A Description: This jutsu can be performed with Raiton Chakra infused into the Wrist Blades or not, but if it is, the attacks accuracy, speed and strength increases tenfold. Infusing his chakra into a piece of the Wrist Blade that flicks up and shoots out the wrist blade at the opponent, the chakra needed is barely any, just a little bit more than an explosive tag, as it's merely to activate the contraption that releases the blade. Although the blade can travel a good distance it is preferred this technique is used at short and medium range, at point blank range the user cannot miss with this shot. The Wrist Blades click back into their spot, but if Arashii happens to loose one in battle, he always carries two spare on him.
Name: Hachioujou Haridageki - Eight Death Needle Strikes Rank: C Type: Weaponry Element: Raiton Description: Utilising Arashii's favourite type of projectile, the senbon and infusing it with Raiton Chakra, the senbon's speed, accuracy and strength increase tenfold once coated with the Raiton Chakra and become strong enough to even pierce that of a decent armour plate. Arashii holds eight Raiton infused senbon in between the webbing's of his fingers, finding an opening where he can throw either four at once, or all eight for an even harder situation to dodge. If Arashii chooses to separate them a decent distance it leaves almost nowhere for the opponent to dodge due to being cut off every direction and having these projectiles launched at them at a quicker velocity than usual. |
