Meikiri (Dark Mist)

Clan Traits:

Mist Demons: Meikiri clan members are accustomed to the presence of mist and thus have learned to rely much less on their site and much more on their other senses, causing them to be able to sense opponents in mist as though they had a sixth sense. Opponents and objects in natural mist can be easily noted, and movements can be detected from up to 300 yards.

Mist Pores: Meikiri clan members are able to increase their own strength exponentially when they are inside of mist, either natural or their own, absorbing some of the mist into their body and using it to strengthen their muscle tissues. This enables clan members to wield large weapons with ease and thus makes them all the more intimidating.

The user receives a 1% increase in strength per foot of mist absorbed, thus a 100ft area could be absorbed to double the strength of the Meikiri, but leaving them with much less must for techniques. The mist may be expelled at any time after it is taken in.

Shark Sense: Due to their affinity with not only mist, but also blood, the Meikiri clan is capable of tracking down ninja by the scent of their blood alone. They have a sense comparable to a canines in this regard, able to easily hear, smell, and track blood. By tasting the blood, the Meikiri member can also 'taste' their current chakra levels and health through the chakra stored in the discarded cells. These are very general and consist of either 'full', 'mediary', 'near empty', or 'empty'. This is based on when the wound was inflicted and is thus not accurate if the time difference is too great.

Kekkei Genkai:

Mist Element: An advanced form of Suiton that relies on utilizing it in a partially gaseous form, thus giving it unique traits that make it different from normal Suiton jutsu. Mist does not share its parent element's weakness, instead beating Katon and being beaten by Fuuton. This is due to its gaseous form which is damaged or destroyed by winds of various strengths.

The Mist Element may either be used in one of two manners. It may be used from the Suiton element, where it must be changed from water to mist, allowing versatility by changing form. Or by directly creating and controlling mist. The clan utilizes both manners and puts them to equal effective use.

Mist Element jutsu, by default, do not require handsigns but instead require a sufficient quantity of mist to be utilized for their usage. This is not marked in the template and is instead assumed to be equivalent to the default for its rank. If otherwise, it is noted in the jutsu.

Jutsu do not 'consume' mist, as in the mist does not loss its size because it is used in a jutsu. These amounts represent how much is needed, and once the jutsu is complete and disperse, the mist it used is gained back for other jutsu. The chakra cost remains, however.

Blood Mist: In addition to being able to create mist from water, the Meikiri clan can also create mist from their own blood or the blood of others. This ability is the most common way the clan members obtain their mist, sense regular mist is not as dense as their own blood and is thus not suitable for most combat situations. Meikiri clan members usually store their blood in a container to make into mist when they need to combat an opponent.

Blood mist smells heavily, and thus can be used to track opponents by the clans sensual powers simply by walking through the mist. Blood mist is also a startling shade of dark red, which makes it apparent that the mist is far from the norm.

A clan member may drain away at their own stamina in order to create this blood mist, taking away 10% of their energy for every 5ft of mist they create in combat like this. Thus they usually have mist prepared, or use other sources, because it is far from cheap to create mist from their own blood and body.

Secret Clan Jutsu:

Name: Mist Expulsion

Description: The user is able to create mist from seemingly thin air by condensing the water molecules into it and creating mist out of them. Naturally, this jutsu does not function where there is no water in the air and thus is very dependent on location. Unlike with the standard mist creating jutsu, this is second nature to a clan member and is much more effective.

This jutsu can create 15ft of mist, even in an arid location like Suna, 25ft in a tolerable atmosphere like Konoha, and 50ft in a very suitable environment such as Kiri. This jutsu, in of itself, does not consume very much chakra because it is so basic for the clan members to use.

Name: Kiri Bunshin (Mist Clone)

Description: The user manipulates mist, causing it to swirl together into a clone made of solid, dense, mist. This type of clone can easily be combined with Soulless Clone, indeed this was its initial purpose of creation, but it has since been adapted. This jutsu creates three clones per use, each one substantial and able to inflict harm on opponents. They have a hardness similar to thickened water and thus can be easily broken apart with a sharp blow, lethal damage dispelling them into a burst of mist.

Description: The user causes mist to solidify around their hand and become a usable weapon of a time the user is proficient with or can use. This a favorite of the clan and weapons created like this can be broken into mist in partial amounts, aiding with hitting opponents, and can retain a hardness similar to metal when solid. The jutsu sees heavy employment and is thus known by most, if not all, clan members.

Description: The user manipulates mist, causing it to sweep in front of them if their is limited mist, or to rapidly solidify if surrounded by mist, forming a thick wall of solid mist. The mist blocks attacks of a rank equal to its own but shatters into streams of mist if attacked by a higher ranked jutsu. Higher ranked weapons also cause it to disperse.

Name: Kiri - (Mist Bullet)
Type: Ninjutsu

Description: This jutsu does not require mist, rather, it creates it. The user inhales, performs a series of handsigns, and then spits out a solid sphere of mist to strike an opponent with great force. If they should dodge the attack, the bullet disperses into a 5ft diameter area of mist. If it hits, it disperses into a 3ft diameter area, losing some of its substance with the impact.

Description: The user causes the mist around them to develop small dew drops of water within itself. These droplets of water form a string of dew that goes where the user desires it to go upon creation. Raiton jutsu, being naturally drawn to liquids, are forced to travel along it if they contact the line, making it useful for rendering lethal Raiton jutsu ineffective.

Description: The user spreads out their fingers and mist forms around them, becoming a pair of solid claws that take their appearance as directed by the user upon the use of the jutsu. The claws can be strengthened beyond their normal strength by absorbing more mist. For every 10ft of mist added to the claws, they increase an effective rank, making these claws more deadly than the average jutsu.

Description: The user infuses their chakra into the surrounding mist, enabling the mist to serve as a focus point for Genjutsu. At the time of use the user may send out chakra for up to three Genjutsu of any rank lower than the user's own rank. The mist will then hold this, able to inflict the Genjutsu on those within it, or those who contact it, at will. This jutsu consumes chakra, as do the Genjutsu being used, thus making it an effective but expensive jutsu.

Description: The user claps their hands together and causes the mist around them to become solid water for an instant, inflicting damage on those within it, excluding the user, like they had just hit water and whatever speed they were traveling. If the opponent was using Shushin or Kawarmi, the impact can cause the pores to bleed out or knock them unconscious if they are incredibly speedy.

Description: The user causes a funnel of mist to solidify into a dragon face creature that emerges and flies towards an opponent, striking them with great force that can shatter B Rank defenses in its way and knock opponents back 25ft if hit head on, along with breaking some bones. The dragon does not disperse upon impact, instead returning to its initial mist cloud and then dispersing.

Description: The user gathers up mist into their mouth, inhaling it and then spitting out a 5ft long projectile resembling a curved guillotine blade. The edge of this projectile is razor sharp, designed to slice through opponents, and even kevlar armor, with ease. The jutsu, if it misses, will sweep back at even greater speed than the first shot, using the momentum of the turn to catch opponents off guard and cut them in half.

Description: The user causes mist to swarm around them, covering their body and causing them to be dressed in a cloak of mist. They have a mask of mist that resembles a grinning skull and gain a large scythe. This jutsu is a forbidden jutsu that gives the user a fraction of the Reaper's power, giving them the ability to cleave through an opponent with their scythe, slaying them if the hit a lethal spot, and not leaving a scratch. The victims of this jutsu appear to have died of heart attacks.

The created scythe varies from user to user but is always less than 8ft long and with a screaming skull at its top. The blade can be jagged, curved, etc. but it still always has a scythe blade. The robes can also differ in appearance, though the changes here can be just about anything and have no real effect on the jutsu itself.

Name: Kiri - (Mist Invasion)

Description: The user causes the mist in an area to form into hands that grab the opponents face, forcefully opening up their lips, and then allowing mist to stream inside of their bodies. The mist, once inside, becomes a liquid and weighs an opponent down heavily. The mist then returns to a mist form, expanding inside of the opponents body, which due to the lack of space, causing the unfortunate victim to explode. The mist can be forced out of the body through cutting the body, allowing the mist to seep out, or otherwise providing an exit route, thus preventing the explosion.

Description: The user causes their mist to solidify into a thicker form, halving the total mist but making the created mist thick enough to slow down the speed of all those in it by half, along with slowing down handsigns to the point that only a single jutsu can be used per post. The mist, in this form, is treated as two ranks higher when used for other Mist jutsu due to the increased density.

Name: Hageshii Ame (Bloody Rain)

Description: This jutsu can only be used with blood mist. The user causes the blood mist in an area to rise up into the air and then reform into water, forming millions of solid water senbon that then rain down on an opponent in an area equal to the area of mist used. The technique, due to its aerial nature and potential range, is nearly impossible to dodge, making defending against it the only truly viable option.

History:

A clan developed through experimentation by former Mizukages to create a clan suitabel to succeedd them as the perfect Mist Village Ninja. The clan resides in an underground society of sorts, being house within the Mizukage's home in an underground cavern where they train constantly.

Ninja with excellent potential are allowed to the surface world, sometimes trained by the Mizukage himself to be his/her succesor. Some of the clan members have escape, fleeing to remote ends of the earth, some scattering as far as Hidden Moon, others to obscure places like Suna where their abilites are nearly worthless.

The clan was created through experimentation by Kiri scientists, until they came upon a specimen that suited their desires. They breed this specimen until their were enough of their breed to thrive on their own. Only pure blooded clan members possess the clan's KKG. The test specimens, after being succesful created and being perfected, were ordered to kill their creators, ensuring no other village would every learn of the Mist's horrific experimentation.

The Mizukage expressed immense interest in a few of the subjects, gradually teaching them how to use their blood abilities for many more jutsu than mere mist control. The clan owes its lethal abilities to the Mizukages before them and as such, take great pride in their village. Most of them are very defensive of their home village, fighting till death. Clan members outside of the Mist are just as defensive, although sometimes their abilities cannot be used as easily, and they often carry around water to compensate for the lack of natural water in some areas.

In the recent era, the clan has become a common source of soldiers for the current wars, thus causing the clan to be released from its captivity in order to breed more clan member and integrate into society so that the clan members could become more common place, and thus less frightening, to the citizens and ninja who would fight alongside them later on in their lives.
