Dan's Goodbye!

Well.. I've been doing a ton of thinking and rethinking and assessing purely because of the reason that my final year of school is coming up and i need a good final year, a large contrast to last year. My results weren't nearly up to scratch for my liking and I can put it down to a variety of things; a big one being this forum. So, as a result; I have decided to retire from RolePlaying completely and as a result, remove myself from Administrator on this beloved forum. I have also decided to remove my character from roleplaying itself and have killed my character off here.

I wish I could have hung around for US to reach its peak but I know when it's time for me to stop and for me, in this particular situation, its mind over matter. I've put my mind to ending all of these bad distractions of mine and have 100% faith and content on maintaining this new-Dan. I want to have a good future and whilst Roleplaying is good fun now, it's not something I plan to maintain for the rest of my life. ^^

So yeah, It's been tons of fun, an amazing experience and furthermore a very fulfilling arc of my life. ;D I plan to say a congratulations to the forum on the 3rd of February when it reaches it's 2year anniversary and I may jump on in the holidays; who knows. For the meantime, have a blast guys!

Dude of all the good people are leaving like really. You honestly were a nice guy all around Dan. I still remember the first time I ever met you and Pm'ed you all of my missions on NWOTN 1.0 because you were my kage there. You seemed to be one of the more cool headed administrator putting up with some things that you really didn't have to. You were the administrator there to help me out when no one else had my back. I'm really gonna miss you man. You were the like the stress reliever for me anytime I was in a pissy situation. No one else will ever be able to fulfill that special place in which you had upon me. Your word impacted me in my everyday life. I'm going to miss you man.

I'm very sorry to hear your leaving Dan, it's unfortunate i didn't get to talk to you as much as some of the other Admins but i still know your a sexy beast. Not quite as sexy as me but a sexy rival none the less :p

I know you put alot of effort into ultimate shinobi and did great things for the forum. I know you leaving will have a negative impact but it's a choice that you've made, with good reason aswel.

Good luck in your final year ;D I hope to see you down under when I come over for the ashes in two years time! Take care dude. May the force be with you.

I don't know what I can say. I trust you have made the better decision for you, and as we all know, oh too well, real life must come first. I wish you the best of luck with school, and hope our paths may cross again. You are a good friend, dedicated roleplayer and an amazing Admin. You will always be missed and remembered as one of the greatest.

Goodbye Dan. I still have your MSN so if you want to know anything that happens around here, don't hesitate in the slightest to ask. You were a close friend, even from when I started roleplaying on US 1.0; and even if you didn't notice, you helped me with a lot of things.

I know you put your heart and soul into roleplaying and more prefusely, into this forum. We will all miss you greatly; more-so because you were more friendly than a normal admin is; ( stern and harsh ).

Good luck in your final year Dan. I, and i'm sure the whole forum, wish you the absolute best of luck. You're a smart kid, you can do just fine. I'll be looking out for your name on the news as a high score (Y)

My dearest Dan, you departure has lift a rift that no other can fill but while we are sad we also happy that your choice was your own and made for the best of reasons. You will be missed greatly. Though I am not naturally lyrical I have found a composition which I believes represents the feeling of US as whole for your departure:

Dan, I liked you. You were the first person on the site to offer any sort of assistance to me (albeit I think that was because you were the only one online at the time) and as such, you have held a very special place in my heart when it comes to the topic of this particular forum.

Dear Dan,

Yes, you may have sexually harassed/raped me an uncountable amount of times. But I have always seen you as one of the most helpful people ever to exist on this forum, and frankly, one of the nicest and best.

However, I understand exactly what you're saying. School is overwhelming, and getting more so as the years go on. So good luck with everything you wish to accomplish and I hope you succeed in all of your choices in life.
