Hana is a small girl, seeming to be tiny in stature at least being 4’3”. Her figure is quite frail as well to go with her tiny stature, at least being 60 lbs. She has platinum blonde hair with dyed electric blue tips, and random electric blue highlights running through her hair; that is usually tied back into a messy pony tail which always looks like it took her seconds to make. When her hair is actually down though it is relatively straight and is at shoulder length. She also has piercing blue eyes, which stand out against her pale white skin.

Her outfits usually consist of clothes that are bulky and hide most of her skin. Mostly having a large hooded sweat shirt that falls just above her knees, very baggy blue jeans to hide her tiny figure, normally some black converses, sunglasses, and fingerless leather electric blue gloves. Underneath her large hooded sweat shirt and baggy blue jeans is usually a simple red tank top, and a simple pair of midnight black basketball shorts. Going with this attire she has silver studs in both her ears, and no make-up whatsoever.

Personality:
Hana can easily be described as a contradiction taken life. While her appearance marks her as a seemingly outgoing and rowdy person, her actually personality is quite different. Quiet and slightly timid, Mai rarely speaks out loud, especially to people she doesn’t know real well. She is a very kind individual, caring more about the people around her than fighting, something that she was picked on at a young age during the Academy. This led to a current case of very low self esteem and doubting, something that could be seen as a slight case of depression if interpreted incorrectly.

When she is called to do her duty however, her entire personality seems to change, and become more focused, more confident. She is a sight to watch in battle, and can actually be very blunt and out spoken in such scenarios, her mind being focused on something else than the supposed flaws that have been pointed out to her throughout her life. Her true self shines in these moments; a confident, intelligent, courageous woman who cares for people.

The gentle fist - The Gentle Fist style of combat is based on palm strikes and generally aims to damage the body's Chakra Pathway System, thus creating difficulty by inhibiting an opponent's use of chakra. To do this, the user will forcefully insert a small amount of their own chakra into an opponent's chakra pathway system. The chakra can then be used to rupture or divert chakra flow, preventing them from using jutsu. Any chakra based substance can be countered/destroyed by using the gentle fist style to force chakra into it. This is done by using the chakra openings in ones hands to shape their own chakra into needles which can cut through chakra itself. It can also be used to attack the opponent's internal organs, to which the chakra pathway system is closely tied. Even the slightest tap from this style can cause major damage, hence the name "gentle fist." Because the chakra pathway system is invisible, the Byakugan is required for this style to be used effectively. Since the Byakugan is unique to the Hyūga clan, it has become their signature style of combat.

Kekkei Genkai:
The Byakugan is a Dōjutsu Kekkei Genkai, a genetic trait, that is shared amongst the members of the Hyūga Clan. Those that inherit the blood of this clan have almost featureless white eyes. It has two different settings, dormant and activated, both of which take a slightly different appearance from the other form. The normal eye for a Hyuuga clan member differs from a normal human eye. The iris and pupil are barely discernable with both appearing a milky white in color. The pupil itself is larger than a typical humans and it is outlined by a black region. The sclera remains normal except the larger size of the pupil reduces ones ability to view it. Once the eye is fully activated, the hidden iris becomes more apparent. Also when providing blood and chakra for the eyes' bloodline vision, veins will bulge lateral to each eye.

The first ability of the Byakugan gives the user a near 360º field of vision, except for one blind spot at the back of the neck above the third thoracic vertebra. The second ability having the ability to see through solid objects, and can use a degree of telescopic sight. The distance and the degree of telescopic sight varies from person to person. This is often determined by both rank and skill. At the genin level it can reach up to 100 meters. At Chunin this increases drastically reaching out to 400 meters. At jounin this goes up even more to 800 meters. A Kage level Hyuuga is capable of seeing up to 2km in all directions. However, the third and one of the greatest uses of the Byakugan is the ability to see chakra, as well as the chakra circulation system inside another's body. It is from this particular ability that they are able to employ their ultimate attack style: Gentle Fist. (see Clan Traits above).

History:

The Hyuuga are one of the oldest and most powerful clans in Konoha, being one of its two great Dojutsu clans. They aided in the founding of the leaf village, though played a much smaller role in its founding then the Senju and Uchiha did. They quickly established a high ranking amongst the ninja squadrons and became well known to all, just the mention of the Byakugan or the name Hyuuga wining an instant air of respect. Their clan is based highly on nobility and even with in itself has its own social structure.

The clan is split into two different families. One being known as the main and the other being the branch. This social division has always been their greatest flaw. The Main family often holds themselves to be higher up and more important then the branch family, and basically the branch is looked down upon like lesser individuals and sometimes even pawns which can be thrown away for the villages sake. To be looked at most appropriately, the Main are the Kings, and the Branch are the peasants. It even goes so far that a destructive seal is placed on the forehead of all Branch family members which can be used to instantly destroy a branch member if they do not follow the orders of the Main family.

In recent times, this wall has begun to get broken down, and the destructive seal is being used less and less. Cooperation is beginning to flourish between the two houses which is leading to prosperous outcomes. It is unknown if this will continue or if it is a momentary laps of peace. It will all come down to the heads of the clan for each generation, and it will be up to them to dictate which path will be taken, segregation, or unity.

Description: Loss of blood is a serious condition, and not very uncommon one in the shinobi battlefield. When a person reaches such a dangerous state, a medical nin can ease their symptoms by using this jutsu. First, the user must open up a small cut in the patient's body in order to open a vein. Once a vein has been opened, the medical nin uses chakra in order to increase the density of the patient's blood. Thus, they won't get more blood, but more red and white blood cells are created, an effect which helps fight against the ailments and symptoms of losing blood. However, this jutsu has a downside which is the fact that the user's own blood dilutes as long as the jutsu is activated, which means that basically it is indeed a blood transfusion and the user must be careful at how much blood he or she gives to their patients.

Background Information

Prologue
Hana was born into a family of missing nin. All of them hyuuga, and all able to do great things. Yet, they each had one common flaw; they were lazy. Due to this they grew weak, and with this weakness their confidence dwindled until they just wanted to die.

The Dropoff
Hana was born into a family with little to no worth. Each of them had meaningless lives, so eventually they all decided to become test subjects for crazed shinobi. Her parents were also a part of this, but they wanted better for their daughter; so right before their family went off to be test subjects they dropped their infant of a child at an orphanage. She remembers little of her family; all she knows is that each had amazing potential to be great but they all ruined it. Although she loves her family dearly she still feels humiliation each time people bring them up.

The Orphanage
Hana’s time in the orphanage didn’t last long because at that time many shinobi were in search of children to train to become the next generation of great shinobi. The few days that she was actually in the orphanage, was hell. It was a one story orphanage that had three rooms and sixteen children; ten boys and six girls. One room was for the owners, one for the boys, and one for the girls. The orphanage was always crowded and full of depressed kids. These kids were different, they didn’t have the energy to be naughty or have fun; they just moped around until a family came and adopted them.

Hana and another girl were different. They always went into the backyard, which was also a family owned cemetery; and played hide-and-seek around the tomb stones. Even through the depressing times they made each other smile, until they were separated. The girl and Hana were adopted by enemy shinobi families, and they never saw each other again.

A New Life
Hana’s new life was rough and challenging, but she stuck to it with grace. Each day her new family trained her and made her study nonstop so she could be ahead of the rest of the academy students. At first this seemed exciting, maybe she could become well known, but after a few weeks she tired of it. She stuck to it, but she didn’t like it. What hurt the most to her though was not being comforted by her best friend, the girl from the orphanage.

Academy Life
Hana’s academy life was short just like her orphanage life. It seemed that those weeks of training and studying paid off, and she graduated head of her class. While, she was in the academy she stood apart, having no friends what so ever. So, while the other kids played during their breaks, she studied or trained. This helped her achieve greatness among her classmates.

Role-Play Sample:

Mai examined the young man that lay before her, in a sneaky little bow. To the unobservant the bow would completely innocent, yet Mai could see how he hid his face in the shadows, attempting to make sure that she did not see his facial gestures. This could've been out of respect, due to her colorful look and not wanting to show his disdain to it, or it could be there to hide other emotions. Though this was not the matter that had to stay on her mind.

Taking her mind back to the training she had forgotten completely about, she began to think back on what she knew about her new vice captain. Kinshin the poison user, he had an ability to heal, to make a poison to distract and a poison to harm his opponent. His abilities would easily do great in any division, but his healing abilities brought him to her division. Mai's head did a quick nod, she knew what she must do to insure this young man will be on par, if not all ready, with the other vice captains.

"Do not worry yourself with your lateness. Although I do not wan this to become a habit, but instead of going outside I have other plans in stored for us. I understand that even at a shikai state you are powerful with your poisons, but from what I know you do not as of yet have a bankai. So, that is the business we will deal with...starting....now."

Without giving her vice captain a chance to take that in, she walked out the door and began to steadily walk through the 4th Division sectors. Taking quick turns left and right until she got to the training sector. Without a glance back, she opened the large doors with one knock of the hands.

"Come on Kinshin, it's time for us to begin."

Synestiesia- If you can in a way sense chakra then you will need to give more description. What range can your character sense chakra around her? and to what degree/level can it be done?
