Harumi heard from her father that elemental techniques were essential for a ninja, as it could change the tide of a fight having an advantage over another person. And so, today Harumi thought that she may as well go try and train her fuuton affinity techniques. Her mother also had a wind affinity and with it she used a fan to enrich the techniques that she had of the wind nature. Her mother had given her a fairly larger than average Chinese fan that folded down for ease of carrying, and it was also light weight so it wouldn't bother her from using her gentle fist as fluidly and gracefully as she already did. She was also given a scroll with a technique written down inside with what purpose of being specifically to be used along with a ninja fan, which apparently was the weapon of choice for a upcoming powerful wind release user. And so today she had ventured out to the lake, a place where she thought she would be able to freely use her wind release without fear of destroying or blowing away things. Everywhere in the village of Kusagakure seemed so fragrant, no matter where you went breathing in the fresh air filled with the scent of flowers was incredible. Though if someone with allergies or asthma would come here I'd be a death wish with all the pollen that circulated through their air, it would be sure to trigger an extreme reaction. She looked at her fan in admiration, then waved it around a bit and started to fan herself.

She sat down on the ground near the water and unraveled the scroll before her and then began to read the writing that was formerly concealed on the raveled lengthy decorated paper. "The Cutting Whirlwind technique... This technique requires a fan or wind-inducing weapon... the many air currents collide and create vacuums pockets... the strong wind power will blow away all incoming projectile weapons... blah, blah, blah. Sounds easy enough." The confident Hyuuga genin said to herself as she stood up and held the fan at her side. She was a pure master at chakra usage, being a prodigy Main Branch Hyuuga, so this was sure to prove to be something she just excelled at. She began to focus the chakra that would need to be changed into wind by the way of nature transformation, and then sent out by the way of the fan. The slicing properties would soon become apparent as she thrust the fan outwards towards the water with a mighty gust that began to send rippling tearing distortions of high pressured winds causing many streaks to appear on the water's surface. She repeated this usage of wind until she was tired and panting because of this training and intense chakra usage. She knew her limits and knew that trying to push her self that hard could definitely be deadly. Anyways she then began to walk home to the Hyuuga Main house, folding up her fan and putting it into her ninja pouch along with the scroll.
